Best I can say to those who think the rapture/meeting the Lord in the air is not scriptural, is they are still unlearned as to ‘rightly dividing the word of truth(scripture).

‘Rapture’ is the English translation for the Latin Vulgate ‘rapiemur’, which is translation for the Greek ‘harpazo’.

What really perplexes me is the use of 2 Thessalonians 2 while ignoring verses 5-8:”Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know What is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.”
The Restrainer is the Holy Spirit, as identified (among other places) in Proverbs 27: 15-16: “A continual dripping on a very rainy day And a contentious woman are alike; Whoever restrains [self control] her restrains the wind [ruah/Spirit], And grasps oil [3rd symbol of Holy Spirit] with his right hand.” These verses have been mangled by so many; the authors of my previous church’s ‘study Bible’ have contended that this refers to a woman’s husband needing to assert authority over his household…
I for one do not want to remain with the earth-dwellers when the Holy Spirit is taken away, and I await any explanation for how Christ’s church remains on earth without the Holy Spirit.

What comes to your mind when you think of an inheritance? Perhaps the occasion of the reading of someone’s Last Will and Testament, perhaps being included in a gift from a distant relative you hardly knew. Maybe you think of inheriting your mother’s eyes or your father’s capacity for hard work.
Whether money, genetic characteristics, or influence, inheritors receive something they did not earn. A Forbes article in November 2023 reported that more than half of the 137 people across the globe who attained billionaire status in the twelve preceding months had inherited it. It was the first time in years that inheritances exceeded earnings.
Today’s verse in Ephesians speaks of the “riches of the glorious inheritance” that awaits those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus. In his commentary, author, pastor, and evangelist F.B. Meyer said, “Yes, it is an inheritance. It is a free gift, and yet we have a right to it. We do not ask for it—we were born into the blessed privilege. The child that lies in yonder cradle, over which the coronet is emblazoned, may claim his broad ancestral estates simply by right of birth: and it is on that tenure that the saints hold heaven.
By God’s great mercy we have been begotten again.” Just as you did nothing to earn your salvation, “It is a gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9), so your inheritance is guaranteed by the Holy Spirit to you in Christ.
Until the time that you pass from the boundaries of Earth to reach your Heavenly destination, you live in the inheritance of “every spiritual blessing” that God has planned for you in accordance with His purposes. Your inheritance – both for today and for eternity – is more about God than it is about you.
It is about that blessed hope that He has set upon you in Christ. Give Him praise and adoration today. Thank God for the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus, in order that you might be a forever child of the King.

What a terrible thing to read on Mothers Day. God grant peace to Nicole Brown’s spirit. She went through hell on earth. And for Ron, too.
We are one degree of separation away from the Kardashians and I truly pity them.
I pity, too, our go between… they are struggling to sustain their Los Angeles home and care for two sets of elder parents. Not sure they’ll ever leave Los Angeles.. it is all they’ve known their entire lives. Like wild animals born in captivity, I’m not certain they’ll ever taste freedom…or even be able to live amongst normals. They have such distorted senses. They are conservative in heart and deed, but still feel compelled through their public service that liberals are not entirely crazy. But when “crazy” is your constant… one puts up with more than one should. God deliver them.
Isn’t there ever a day when one can have peace and happiness and pure joy?
Not as long as the devil reigns and is given freedom to do so.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.

ABANDONMENT
“Then Peter began to say unto Him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed Thee…” Mark x. 28
Our Lord replies in effect, that abandonment is for Himself, and not for what the disciples themselves will get from it. Beware of an abandonment which has the commercial spirit in it – “I am going to give myself to God because I want to be delivered from sin, because I want to be made holy.” All that is the result of being right with God, but that spirit is not of the essential nature of Christianity. Abandonment is not FOR anything at all. We have got so commercialized that we only go to God for something from Him, and not for Himself. It is like saying, “No, Lord, I don’t want Thee, I want myself; but I want myself clean and filled with the Holy Ghost; I want to be put in Thy showroom and be able to say – ‘This is what God has done for me.'” If we only give up something to God because we want more back, there is nothing of the Holy Spirit in our abandonment; it is miserable commercial self-interest. That we gain heaven, that we are delivered from sin, that we are made useful to God – these things never enter as considerations into real abandonment, which is a personal sovereign preference for Jesus Christ Himself.
When we come up against the barriers of natural relationship, where is Jesus Christ? Most of us desert Him – “Yes, Lord, I did hear Thy call; but my mother is in the road, my wife, my self-interest, and I can go no further. “Then,” Jesus says, “you cannot be My disciple.”
The test of abandonment is always over the neck of natural devotion. Go over it, and God’s own abandonment will embrace all those you had to hurt in abandoning. Beware of stopping short of abandonment to God. Most of us know abandonment in vision only.

A brief history of CO2 and the development of life in Geologic history during the Paleozoic Era.

Atmospheric CO2 was 16 to 17 times the current concentration during the late Cambrian and early Ordovician. It also saw the greatest explosion of life on earth in the fossil record. It was all sea life. Hard corals, the first mollusks and arthropods, and the first sponges, among many others first appear and proliferated during that period. trilobites and brachiopods are the dominate animal life forms. The first animals with bones appear during the Ordovician.
The Ordovician ends with a mass extinction most often attributed to an ice age.
Atmospheric CO2 was 14 to 12 times the current concentration during the Silurian. The first terrestrial plants and animals appear during this period.
During the Devonian atmospheric CO2 starts at 12 x the current concentration and falls to 8 x the current value. This is known as the age of the fishes. Fish with mouths and internal skeletal structure proliferate in number and variety. Amphibians, ferns, and evergreen forests first appear. The first hardwood plants also appear. This period ends with another mass extinction.
The Carboniferous is broken down into two periods the earlier being the Mississippian and later the Pennsylvanian. Atmospheric CO2 plunges from 7x the current concentration to 1x the current concentration. This period is known to some as the age of the amphibians. Reptiles and insects appear during this period. Terrestrial life is well established. In the oceans sea life is abundant in numbers and variety and sharks are very prominent.
The Permian is the last period of the Paleozoic Era and proceeds the Mesozoic era which is the age of the dinosaurs. Atmospheric CO2 levels begin at 1x current concentration and rises to 4x the current concentration. Reptiles spread and dominate the land. The Appalachian mountains rise and will reach heights similar to the Himalayan mountains today. This period ends with what is believed to be the most extensive mass extinction event. Some believe that volcanic activity in what is today Siberia caused what is known as “the great dying” when about 80% of all life on earth disappeared. But newer evidence is indicating an asteroid strike may be the culprit. Whatever the cause this massive mass extinction occurred over a relatively short period of time lending more credence to some single catastrophic event.
The geologic evidence makes it clear that life appeared and thrived during periods when atmospheric CO2 levels were much higher than present. And it continued through the age of the dinosaurs with levels running from 5x to 2x the current concentrations when the largest terrestrial animals known to have lived roamed the earth.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
