Putin Did Not Order Alexei Navalny’s Death, US Intelligence Finds
In a surprising turn, The Wall Street Journal has issued a new weekend report saying that US intelligence agencies do not believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin planned or ordered the death of opposition activist and politician Alexei Navalny.
“U.S. intelligence agencies have determined that Putin likely didn’t order Navalny to be killed at the notoriously brutal prison camp in February, people familiar with the matter said, a finding that deepens the mystery about the circumstances of his death,” writes the Journal.
“The assessment doesn’t dispute Putin’s culpability for Navalny’s death, but rather finds he probably didn’t order it at that moment,” WSJ continues. “The finding is broadly accepted within the intelligence community and shared by several agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the State Department’s intelligence unit, the people said.”

I watched an excellent documentary last night “Poisoned Ground: The Tragedy of Love Canal.” It tells the story of the remarkable women that rallied a community to fight for the health and safety of their families. In the late 1970s, residents of Love Canal, a working-class neighborhood in Niagara Falls, New York, discovered that their homes, schools, and playgrounds were built on top of a former chemical waste dump, which was now leaking toxic substances and wreaking havoc on their health.
It aired on PBS but you can see it on YouTube. Watching it you can see some things never change, the smug no nothing experts and politicians. Some experts brave enough helped the women who were a force of nature, mama grizzlies just trying to save their babies. At the end the narrator said “there is no wrath like a mother trying to protect her young.”

Something I didn’t realize when I was a kid: institutions can decay. Institutions seem so permanent, but it turns out to be very easy for them to drift from their original mission. The ACLU, the NYT, the Better Business Bureau, the ADL, NPR, none of them are what they were.
But the real question is: were any of those institutions ever what they appeared to be?

My speculation would be for some of them, after previous buyouts at varying times in the past.
For others, they were always set up as a ‘mission creep.’
It’s called Sullivan’s Law, which states that organizations that don’t outright declare themselves otherwise will inevitably drift off to the political left. “Sullivan’s Law refers to a concept stating that any organization or enterprise that is not explicitly right-wing will drift to the left over time. The idea is that without a clear and deliberate effort to maintain a right-wing stance, an organization or enterprise will naturally trend towards a more left-wing ideology.” I believe Sundance addressed this once but I could be wrong?

I believe that’s true.
Independent people, who tend to be conservatives, do not look to others to take care of them, think for themselves, and don’t typically try to make everyone around them conform. Their guidance tends to come from within, based on a religious/spiritually based set of values roughly defined by the 10 Commandments and the Golden Rule.
Liberals, on the other hand, seem to herd and look to others for care and affirmation. They organize to create conformity and govern behavior, since they appear unable to self regulate. They require the approval of their “group,” so seem to spend a lot of effort trying to “out-virtue signal” each other.
Just my observations.
They lack the ability to think rationally, so their every decision is made via their “feelings.”
Feelings are flighty things, and so are the people who are ruled by them.
That’s why rationality cannot break through to them.
And decisions of any kind are rarely, if ever, perfect. There are always trade offs, pluses and minuses. Possibly because they can’t or won’t think rationally, they don’t want to think about the possible negatives.
They become Johnny One Note. Just emotionally promote any positives, but neglect to even recognize possible deviations of the negatives.
This is apparent with most legislation and policies by government.
They drift left because the Marxist force their societal and cultural beliefs on US, which is always left.
Thus, as society drifts left, so does the media.

The worst “institution” that has “drifted” to the left is the church.
Have a disaster and many people will run back to the church, and just maybe the Lord of the church. But as soon as life gets easy again, poof, they’re gone, or they makeup whatever foolishness they want to believe-in and call that a “church.”
That is the worst pick for me, since it is a full scale attack on the sovereignty of the Lord, God Almighty.

My thoughts on this:
If you are here illegally and then unlawfully participate in our elections, you will be deported and never granted US citizenship. All dependents associated with you will also be deported.
If you are a citizen and committed voter fraud, you lose your right to vote and you are going to jail. Period.
If someone is found guilty of voter fraud, their possessions are forfeit.
We’d have to figure out a way to administer this as the government couldn’t be trusted to do so. The IRS already has too much power.
The crime of voter fraud is on par with mass murder.
They are basically doing societal murder since they are stripping citizens of their right to change course and they are running us off a cliff.

On your first point, if you are apprehended and deported for being in the country, that alone precludes you from ever being able to pursue the legal path to citisenship, thats current law.
Until we change the misinterpretation of the law, a misinterpretation that creates instant citisenship at birth in the U.S., (try THAT in any other country!) the notion of deporting “Dependents” is problematic.
More broadly, these illegals do not have to actually vote; all our enemies need, is to get them REGISTERED to vote, and then THEY will use mail ballota to vote FOR them.
Illegals are notorious for avoiding having ANYTHING to do with “the Man” cause it could lead to “migra!” even now, look how many illegals it is presumed refuse to participate in the Census.

Introduction
The danger to world or regional public health from the escape from microbiology laboratories of pathogens capable of causing pandemics, or Potentially Pandemic Pathogens (PPPs) has been the subject of considerable discussion including mathematical modeling of the probability and impact of such escapes. The risk of such releases has generally been determined from estimates of laboratory infections that are often incomplete, except for the recent 2013 Centers for Disease Control (CDC) report, which is a significant source of recent data on escapes from undetected and unreported laboratory-acquired infections (LAIs).
This paper presents an historical review of outbreaks of PPPs or similarly transmissible pathogens that occurred from presumably well-funded and supervised nationally supported laboratories. It should be emphasized that these examples are only the “tip of the iceberg” because they represent laboratory accidents that have actually caused illness outside of the laboratory in the general public environment. The list of laboratory workers who have contracted potentially contagious infections in microbiology labs but did not start community outbreaks is much, much longer. The examples here are not “near misses;” these escapes caused real-world outbreaks.

Data from US annual reports on the theft, loss, and release of Biological Select Agents and Toxins (BSAT) which are pathogens or toxins that have been determined to have the potential to pose a severe threat to human, animal, or plant health, or to animal or plant products.
Examples of the causes of a release may include:
■ Bites or scratches from an infected animal
■ Equipment or mechanical failure
■ Spill of BSAT outside of a biological safety cabinet
■ Failure or problem with personal protective equipment (PPE)
■ Needlestick or other percutaneous exposures with contaminated sharp objects
■ Open bench work involving diagnostic samples (later identifed as BSAT) without appropriate PPE

In 2019, FSAP received 219 reports of BSAT release and 13 reports of BSAT loss. By comparison, FSAP has received between 193 and 237 reports of releases each year since 2015, and 8 to 12 reports of losses. As in 2015 through 2018, there were again no reports of theft of BSAT in 2019.
Of the 219 reports of a BSAT release, 92 were submitted by registered entities and 127 were from non-registered entities. For registered entities, the most common cause of a release was due to a failure or problem with laboratorian personal protective equipment. For non-registered laboratories, the most common cause of a release was due to manipulation of BSAT outside of a BSC or other type of equipment designed to protect laboratorians from exposure to infectious aerosols.
■ For 24 of the reported releases, FSAP agreed with the entity that these reports presented minimal to no risk of occupational exposure.
■ The remaining 195 reported releases did involve a BSAT occupational exposure.
◆ In 18 of the 195 reports, the entity determined no occupational health services were necessary based on the circumstances of the release.
◆ In the remaining 177 release reports, entities provided 1,076 individuals (166 individuals from registered entities and 910 individuals from non-registered entities) with occupational health services, including medical assessments and, if needed, diagnostic testing and prophylaxis.
◆ None of the releases resulted in identified illnesses, deaths, or transmissions among workers or outside of a laboratory.
All 13 reports of a loss met the regulatory criteria for a loss. For each report, FSAP identified the cause of the failure to account for the BSAT. None of the losses resulted in a risk to human, animal, or plant health.

In 2020, FSAP received 13 reports of losses, 158 reports of releases, and no reports of thefts.
For the 158 reports of releases, 69 were submitted by registered entities and 89 by non-registered entities.
■ FSAP agreed with the reporting entities that 24 releases presented minimal to no risk of occupational exposure.
■ The remaining 134 releases involved occupational exposure to BSAT .
◆ In 12 of the 134 releases, the reporting entity determined no occupational health services were necessary based on the circumstances of the release.
◆ In the remaining 122 releases, the reporting entities provided occupational health services (including medical assessments, diagnostic testing and/or pharmaceutical prophylaxis) to a total of 483 individuals (68 individuals from 25 registered entities and 415 individuals from 77 non-registered entities).
None of the releases resulted in illnesses among the general public, nor did they result in any deaths or transmission among workers or to the outside of a laboratory into the surrounding environment or community.
However, one release reported by a non-registered entity resulted in the illness of one worker after exposure to Coxiella burnetii. The source of the infection was attributed to contact with infected animals in the performance of the worker’s duties. The worker received medical treatment and fully recovered from the illness. The entity notified all workers potentially exposed to the infected worker and found no evidence of disease transmission to others.

My late husband had a nickname for everyone and once had to deal with a rather nasty real estate developer that was extremely short.
His nickname, Half man. I asked if it was because he was short or a jerk. The answer, “both”.

In that light, President Trump has “aced” the republican primaries and will be named the republican candidate at the national convention in 2024.
He has also completed the hostile takeover of the RNC and has installed a new MAGA management team, replacing the Rona/GOPe/RINO gang. The new RNC will be working with the state’s republican organizations to clean up the voting processes across the country and support President Trump and his endorsed candidates.

After 2021, the terms “GOPe, RINOs”, were interchangeable with “democrats.”

Just got back from church this morning. We had a couple who were guest speakers this morning.
they go way back with our pastor, and currently have a ministry in New Zealand.
