There are over 1,000 islands and islets in the Maldives. Not a one of them has disappeared underwater since “scientists” declared they would back in 1988. In fact several are growing. The various species of corals grow to try and maintain the proper depth to receive the amount of solar radiation they need. Different species require different amounts for ideal living conditions. As the species that require more sunlight grow towards the surface the species that require less move in to the places where the previous occupants died out. This growth in coral ends up producing more sand. Sand that washes on shore and thus, if there is no erosion along a beach, it grows.
Ya beat me to it, though in much greater detail than my simple comments usually provide.

Chris got my car washed the other day. He drives it to the Cadillac dealership where he worked before he retired. Our Buick we both from the same people who own it, so we get our car washed free of charge. The only thing is it is quite a bit further away from us than local car washes, but it does save money, even considering gas consumed. It was covered in spring fallout. So it was great to have it clean. Two days later we had an unexpected sudden heavy downpour, and now it looks the same as it did before he took it in. That’s Texas for ya!

Many years ago (over 50), my girlfriend died from a fairly rare form of cancer, Ewing’s sarcoma.
Unbelievable, that 15 years later, my 12 year old nephew also died from the same disease. My understanding is that the survival rate for Ewings is now around 80%. If only. 🙏

There is a park dediated to him in my hometown, and so, he, at least for now, has not been forgotten. But others, sadly, have been. One was my friend, Bruce A., who came back to us with severe brain damage at the age of 19.
What can we do to best honor their memories and so many others? In my truly humble opinion, Never again enter into conflict without the ability and Will to win – decisively, overwhelmingly, and with haste. Bless all their memories.

Could have finished, but I kept seeing things which also needed cleaning at each window. Like my collection of antique copper pans and molds we acquired when we lived in Wales which desperately needed to be polished. Vacuuming the upholstered seats of the kitchen chairs, then the lamps, then stripping my window shelf of cookery books and lamps and cleaning those….on and on and on.
In essence spring cleaning. Needed doing. This once spring chicken is one no longer, so I am pacing myself. Thanks, dear friend. I missed everyone as well 😘

My browser has a thingy called ‘Inspect’, when I click a webpage and presents the html code. I actually saw someone edit that code, take a screenshot of the change they made…but if you would look at the webpage it will not show the change. Then you could post the screenshot as an image to show the edited version documenting what actually was not the real version on the page.
Therefore, I would show good judgement by not believing everything I see on the internet or believe none of what is heard. Find the original source before making a judgement.
In my Bible studies, I will read something that I want to believe is true, but guess what…I like to go back to the source of what is being studied and read there to make sure the scripture has not been changed.
Another thing I do when I hear of a story/news item, I prefer to find at least three different versions to find if I have been presented with the facts.

When once we get there, no matter where God places us or what the inner desolations are, we can praise God that all is well. That is faith being worked out in actualities.

Are we prepared to let God do as He likes with us – prepared to be separated from conscious blessings? Good Morning all!
Yesterday I got the main bathroom door done. I put the light coat of Polyurethane on at 10:00 and 5 hours later I used steel wool to knock down the grain that had risen. I also used the steel wool on the 10″ wide oak facing board that forms the passageway between the new sun room and living room. Apparently the contractors had just put one coat of polyurethane on those solid oak 3/4″ by 10″ boards and the felt rough to the touch.
After the steel wool came tac cloth and and a tiny brush with plastic bristles to remove any residue. And then finally a heavy coat of polyurethane applied with a foam brush. No runs! Now the bathroom is white enamel and the inside surfaces of the door were already painted. The door opens into the bathroom and so the edge with the latch was painted white. So I had masked all the white surfaces where the stain would be applied next to it. I went over the edges of the tape with my thumb nail repeatedly to seal the tape to try and keep any stain from bleeding through under it.
When I pulled the masking tape off last night I found one spot where the stain had bled through. But all it took was a dry cloth to wipe it off the enamel white paint. With a lesser quality or flatter paint that probably would not have been the case. Anyway the door has come out perfectly!
One detail I missed because of the masking of the door and floor is that I need a transition from the laminated wood floor in the hallway to the white and gray marble pattern vinyl tile tile floor in the bathroom. The laminate floor is 1/8″ higher than the vinyl floor. I may have some left over premade transition from the wood laminate floor we installed years ago out in the garage that can be adapted. The trick is that the vinyl floor is a floating floor and must be able to expand and contract.
While I was doing that Sherry was in the sun room cleaning all the furniture and wall hangings and other stuff that goes back into the living room. Besides the accumulated dust there was also plenty of dust from the sawing and and other work in the living room. She got everything cleaned including the leather corner set.
We took a break and went and bought a Bissell CrossWave for cleaning hard surface floors. Scrubs and vacuums . After one more going over with broom and dust mop she will do a final cleaning with that before we start moving the furniture back in. I have high quality felt sliders for all the furniture that will be going into the living room. I will be cutting them to fit the feet and bearing surfaces of every piece of furniture that goes in there and then gluing them on so the stay put!
Then my son comes over this afternoon to help me move the furniture into the living room.
A look at the ceiling return duct in the living room without it’s cover convinced me that we need to have our ducts cleaned and that will be done in the near future. We have and use two ionizing air cleaners and one of those thick multi layered filters for the HVAC but I don’t think the ducts in this house have ever been cleaned and doing so should increase air quality and keep down the dust/particulates.
Sherry and I are both smoke. Smoking is now only done in the garage or in this bedroom that serves as an office and catch all that I’m sitting in now. And once this bedroom is remodeled the garage or outside will be the only designated smoking areas. For this reason, and because my tools will be in the new garage the heat will maintained at a comfortable level in it. Everything is well insulated. I am going to get one of those screens one can put in an overhead door opening for use during the warm months. May end up putting a window air conditioner in the back window of the garage.
If the weather allows, my yard will get it’s first mowing of the year this weekend. Need to service the mowers before that. Lots of outside work to be done when the weather allows. Two trees to be taken out and four to trim back. I can take out the 80′ tall dead spruce myself but the Chinese elm that is too close to the NW corner of the house will have to taken down in pieces because the power lines, the house, the Dish satellite receiver, and my 30′ flag pole have it bracketed on all four sides. The Spruce wood will be hauled off. The Chinese elm cut up and split as needed for firewood for the insert and my fire ring.
Exposed block on the new additions will be painted gray to match existing. I lost one crawlspace vent when they put on the sun room and so will be installing a duct fan that will draw air through the crawl space. I have a sheet of 2″ thick styrofoam insulation that will be cut to fit the 4 remaining crawlspace vents to block them off during the winter. Little details like that are important for the longevity of the home and for energy savings.
I will be buying and installing a hydrogen peroxide injection system for our well water. Though the well water is much better now that I had the well cleaned I am NOT going to deal with odor or iron oxide stains in my sinks and tubs ever again. The injection system puts a metered amount of Hydrogen peroxide in the well water at the pressure tank. About 5-6 ppm of hydrogen peroxide is all that is needed. The peroxide turns to oxygen in the water. That extra oxygen oxidizes the iron helping to eliminate the staining and eliminates any odor in the water. I already have a large filter and of course a water softener.
And so it goes, on project after another.
With a reboot of a few choice thing internet is back up … so here we go.

Can you comprehend that? Have you realized it in your own life? How does it motivate you as you follow Him?
When you know that God is faithful, you see that He is unchanging, reliable, stable, firm, trustworthy, steady, permanent, consistent, and dependable. He is faithful even when you are not. His love is steadfast. It stays the course, it never gives up, it is always available, it is unconditional. His steadfast love is unrivaled, loyal, liberating, and astonishingly rich. He loves even when you do not.
His faithfulness and His steadfast love are the very core of His character.
The faithfulness and steadfast love of God are the underpinnings of Martin Luther’s great hymn: “A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing, our helper he amid the flood, of mortal ills prevailing.” God’s faithfulness and love are meant to be experienced.
Pray that such an “experiential“ revival of personally knowing the love and faithfulness of God would grip America.

Today I am admitting my mother,who has dementia into an old folks home .
It’s actually a pretty darn nice place considering her ss isn’t substantial.
We’re probably pretty blessed to find such a place .
Regardless, I expect it to be a very emotional day .
I don’t know how it’s going to go .
Her memory is very limited, so I have no idea what her reaction we be , nor my sister and I .

We lived in N Ohio at the time. Mom was a med tech. She went down to Xenia for over a day to help out in their hospital, working nonstop. There was another tech that worked there, a black veteran of the Vietnam War and he taught her some great shortcuts that didn’t compromise the test but reduced the time it took. She said it was bad there. That tornado hit F5 and destroyed a lot of the town.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

The assassination of the Iranian Commander In-Charge over Syria and Lebanon was larger than I thought, there was a meeting of the Iranian command in the area and there were more Generals killed including his Deputy. Those people were involves in the war that Israel is at. Mainly the North area of Hezbollah and Militia in Iraq.
The Supreme Leader of Iran said that “Israel will regret”. Many calls from Iran about revenge. We see posts from senior Iranians about “the clock is ticking”.
Israelis prepare for the worst and there is a massive purchasing of generators, fuel, food, water, etc…
The Head of Israel’s Military Intelligence said that “maybe the worst didn’t yet happen”.
The Speaker of the IDF tried to calm people down and said that there is no need to buy generators.
Israel took down the GPS in some areas of strategic locations. Could relate to prevention of GPS guided missiles operations.
Many cities are preparing public shelters and other emergency services.
All leaves were canceled in the military and there is a call in for some Reserves related to air and missile defense.

You see a lot of military stuff (tanks, in particular) driving around in Israel that you don’t usually see in the US, although, out west, on the major interstate highways, it’s not unusual to see military vehicles being driven, transported on trucks, or, sometimes, trains. We have some huge military bases and storage depots out west.
Israel is tiny compared to the size of its military. Transported tanks is common. Specially in a time of war.
Also the sounds of jet fighters. I remember as a teenager being on the beach at the time of the war in Lebanon seeing attack helicopters flying low and some helicopters with the wounded while we were having fun on the beach. It’s an odd place in a wild neighborhood.
