‎4/‎2/‎2024 – But as a hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with you, and shall serve you unto the year of Jubilee

Leviticus 25:39-43 “And if your brother [that dwells] by you be grown poor, and be *sold (surrendered) unto you; you shall not *compel him to serve (serve yourself with him with the service) as a bondservant: but as a hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with you, and shall serve you unto the year of Jubilee: and then shall he depart from you, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return. For they are My servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be *sold (as merchandise into slavery) as bondmen. You shall not rule over him with cruelty; but shall fear your God.”

When the Lord allowed certain precepts, on account of the hardness of our hearts; it was never for giving license to the hardness of heart; but always for ways to do things just and right; even though we took decisions that were not His first commandment. When we therefore desire to become approved unto God, workmen that need not to be ashamed; we must study to straightly cutting the word of truth; giving out the sense and the meaning according to the Spirit of the Lord, and never to giving place to sin, and the ways of the devil.

The right interpretation of the Scriptures always glorifies Christ, and the things of His nature. In the case of the poor, and the weak, the debtor, and the uncapable; acknowledgement of the truth and repentance accepts to surrender unto the one owed. The one owed, being full and well, strong and capable; has above the repayment of the debt, much more incumbent upon his duty to God, as well as to love his neighbor as himself; an obligation to supporting and strengthening his poor brother; and helping insofar as he is able, to the recovery of the man to his own family, and the possessions of his fathers.

The concern of repayment of the debt is just; but it does not outweigh, nor can it overrule the mandate to brotherly kindness, and seeking the wealth and prosperity of one another. The precept, that, With what measure you estimate, it shall be measured again to you; and, As you would that men should do to you, you do likewise unto them; has to do with working as being of one heart, and one soul; with God, and with each another; like-minded with Christ seeking the fullness of the blessings of salvation for all, according to the blessings and wealth in the Spirit that we also have received from Him.

Deuteronomy 15:4-10 “Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it: only if you carefully hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command you this day. For the LORD your God blesses you, as He promised you: and you shall lend unto many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you. If there be among you a poor man of one of your brethren within any of your gates in your land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your poor brother: but you shall open your hand wide unto him, and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he *wants (lacks). Beware that there be not a thought in your wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and your eye be evil against your poor brother, and you give him nothing; and he cry unto the LORD against you, and it be sin unto you. You shall surely give him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give unto him: because that for this thing the LORD your God shall bless you in all your works, and in all that you put your hand unto.”

The blessing of God is upon the man who confirms the LORD’s love for His poor; and who is satisfied with the reward of righteousness with God, for accepting the surrender and service, for the repayment; and from there taking on the charge of helping the brother recover to his family and the possessions of his fathers. Accepting the subjection and service as just repayment; then works to the brother’s recovery, by compensating his service with just wages.

The Lord never attaches compulsion to bondservice, for the sake of serving Himself by our service; as of a slave purchased; in exchange for release from our debts. But in our acknowledgement of the truth, in our repentance and conversion; we surrender to Him our lives, to from now on be His: and He accepts our surrender of ourselves to Him on account of the debt, as compensation; for as long as we live, and continue faithful to the end. His obligation then to us, as our Master and Savior, unto the Father, is to let us work; as a hired servant for wages; free men to God; to bring us to the day when we will be restored to our own families, and the possessions of our fathers.

 Proverbs 22:7 “The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” This precept is not a license for the rich and the powerful to be Satan towards their poor brethren; but is a law of God, established for the behalf of making all the body whole; as it is written, He that gathered much, had nothing over; and he that gathered little, had no lack.

It is not for us to set anything of this life, as the treasure of our heart; not even things that are rightly owed to us by others. The heart of the precept here, is not the doom of the debtor; as if the one seeking repayment for damages should take it as an advantage over his brother. For the fact that God has wrought upon the heart of the debtor to surrender himself to the one owed; is the answer of affirmation, and token of righteousness from God to come, for receiving the debtor into his house as a servant.

So also it is, that in our forgiveness does our Father in heaven forgive. And the master then has the honor of confirming and restoring him, to one day, at the Jubilee, returning home to his own family, and the inheritance of his fathers. This shows that the time remaining to us in this world, until the Jubilee of the kingdom of God being forever established over all the earth; both we are working for, and together with our Lord. It implies the debt having been forgiven; yet intrinsically connected to our voluntary will to serve Him now; understanding that He will give us our wages for our work now, but that also the present terms of our service will all be released when He comes to set up His kingdom for ever in the world to come.

Israel Update:
This report contains some reactions to comments from yesterday.  Also some clarifications.  
Also don’t miss the video that I complied for you that will follow.  It was a lot of work and it will make you laugh.  
Yesterday someone here  sympathized with me and my people as to “how can we live in the midst of all this mess and hate and attacks?”. 
I said that Israeli “Happiness index and length of life is amongst the highest in the world, but not quite now”.   But we are productive and are holding records like in innovations per capita in the world and more.  The wars have some unifying factor and necessity makes people do things that otherwise they wouldn’t achieve.  And don’t forget spirit and God!

After many persecutions we had to choose the “victim route” of “look what they did to us”  or the “causative route” of moving forward. And when you come to Israel you can see that we moved forward.  Survivors of the Holocaust who lost everything were thrown straight into the War of Independence and didn’t have time to dive in their sorrows.  
And we like to laugh.  And my video at the following post will make the point very well.  
Even when it’s hard we laugh. 

-A correction from yesterday.  I mentioned a possible attack on a US ship in the Persian Gulf.  Shortly later I saw that it was only one source and wanted to delete but The Last Refuge doesn’t have the delete option after some minutes.  My apology. No news here.  

-The attack on Aide workers.  When I reported the cause was not known.  Now the IDF confirms and apologies. This was a mistake in identification.  It ended with 7 killed.  
It causes Israel a lot of international damage.  This Aide organization was not hostile to Israel.  In wars errors happen. We even had three of our own hostages accidentally shot.  The investigation is still progressing.  I am sure it will result in a mechanism to secure the safety of the Aide workers.  And possibly more aide and more involvement of Israel in the aide.  There may be also repercussions to whoever made the error.  

-Anti Bibi and government demonstrations in a few places. Some are families of hostages and some are left wing Bibi haters.  They are getting more violent and the police is treating them with gloves.  Partly because some are families of hostages and because the Judicial system is liberal on the side of the protesters.  We also have some families of the fallen soldiers who are against those protesters with letters and publications.  

-A combo terror attack of car ramming followed by stabbing.  The target were policemen in central Israel.  The terrorist Arab Israeli.  One badly injured (24 years old), the terrorist was shot dead. This is now the third actual terror attack in a few days.  

-Tension both in the US and Israel following the assassination of the Iranian Officers in Syria.  
The US emphasizes that it’s Israel and not the US.  Iran has already causes Hezbollah to extend the rockets into deeper cities in Israel.  Worries of a regional war.  I am sure that the attack was not an attempt for a broad war but we all know that a war with Hezbollah will happen sooner or later simply because the essence of their existence is the elimination of Israel.  Israel is at war in which Iran is a main player and they should be confronted at some levels, they can’t stir the pot and stay untouched.  Israel embassies are at high alert.  I have to mention that the quiet about the Iranian nuclear program is worrisome.  I am sure they are making progress.  They are smart and cunning and patient.  Iranians are not Arabs.  Different mentality, different language.  They used to be good friends of Israel and we remeber.  

-Back and forth about the hostage deal.  We are now waiting to hear back after we gave a counter offer.  

-I am going to touch on a very sensitive point and something that not many speak about.  
It’s a response to a comment but I think it’s worth some mention.  
Basically yesterday someone countered my report of the Iranian General assassination with an interview at Judge Napolitano and another article.  The judge hosted a woman who was basically representing the Hamas/Iran propaganda, point of view.  As if the General was an a “innocent man who just happened to be there and the Zionists are trying to make a World war”.   The other article was an ex-CIA who simply denies the many rapes of 10/7 and other aspects of it.  He talks about the “evil zionists”.  When I dug into him I saw a lot of anti Israel lies which are having a Nazi hate motif, only the word “Jew” was replaced with “Zionist”.  
When I looked into the woman’s background I saw that she is a Far left Progressive who is married to someone who has on his resume working for Al Jazeera and another Arab paper.  
The judge had the “Don’t tread on my” flag behind.  Almost when it comes to Israel some at the right go full circle and become like the far left.  
My point is:  While the Far left has joined forces with Arab genocidal antisemite elements, 
I have seen something similar at the Right.  Because I am Right myself I have associates from the Right.  I remember the guy who was kind of a Q guy who started to let me watch a video about “the Zionists the source of all the evil in the world”.  The content was referring to no other than “The Elders of Zion” favorite book of Hitler.  There was a different interpretation and he suggested that it’s not what it looks like and “the zionists are not referred to me”.  
But I recognize Nazi sources when I see them.  The blood libels have not changes in hundreds of years if not thousands.  Modern antisemitism took the word “zionist” and replaced “Jew”. But the basis of “rule the world” “source of all evil” “no right of self defense” is the same.  I had to unfriend that Facebook friend. 
Now, I have to admit that some of the US Jews make me feel almost antisemite myself.  I am very ashamed of them and apologetic.  In Israel we call them “self hating Jews”.  
But I also know all my many Trump supporters friends in the US who are American Jews and Israeli Americans. I know that the Speech writer of the beautiful speeches of Trump is Jewish and Braitbart and his CEO are Jewish and Mark Levin and there are many people on the right.  So “generalization” is the mark of insanity and stupidity.  
Yes.  The percentages are frustrating.  But it’s only an indication of the loss of identity. 
I could easily look at Rockefeller and Schwab and Pelosi and other evil people and call them “Christians” and generalize. But I would never do so.  
Those Progressive “Jews” will blend and disappear.   This also applies to Palestinians.  One can’t say “they are all evil”. Yes the percentage  is frustrating but we must validate those who are peaceful and educate the others.  Otherwise war will never end.  
So I hope I didn’t stir the pot too much but I trust that you can handle it.

Monday only 4 tornadoes that came down to the surface were reported, though there were many more reports of severe straight line winds and dangerous (2″+) hail. 

There was certainly more than 3 tornadoes on Tuesday though I’m still awaiting the official count. I was up until 22:00 watching Ryan Hall Y’all live streaming the outbreak and it appears that despite that potential for tornadoes along a squall line stretching all the way from NE Texas to Pittsburgh, PA, there just was not that much activity. Lots of Tornado warnings, but not many tornadoes considering the conditions having been forecasted to be so favorable.

On the backside of the low that brought us the severe weather and nearly 3″ of rain at my place here in Indiana there is snow. The UP of MI and N. WI are going to get plenty. Chicago will get a fair amount, and we may even see flurries down at my place in central Indiana.

WE are finally virtually done with construction and renovation for now. Jay packed up his tools yesterday. He hauled away three of the doors that were replaced. I kept the hollow rolling doors that were on the cedar closet that is now my shower to use as a table top on my saw horses until I get my cabinets and work bench set up in my new garage.

We can now do a final cleaning of the living room floor, then start moving the living room furniture from the sun room to where it belongs.

Still have a little electrical work to have done, including getting the lights over the sink in the main bathroom set up and installation of a variable speed and dimmer switch for the ceiling fan and lighting in the guest bedroom. And finally installation of a new ceiling fan with lighting in the kitchen. After that the only work inside we will do until next winter will be priming the ceiling and walls of the new garage and putting in racks for storage of plastic totes and finding and installing the cabinets and work bench in the garage.

I stained the outside of he door on he main bathroom yesterday. Today it gets a light coat of polyurethane satin clear. Then about 4 hours later I will lightly rub it down with steel wool and clean it with a tac cloth and then on Thursday I will put the final heavier coat of polyurethane on it and once that dries it is done. Staining that oak door standing was a lot harder than doing the other two that we did before they were installed.

“If thou hadst known” – God goes direct to the heart, with the tears of Jesus behind. These words imply culpable responsibility; God holds us responsible for what we do not see. “Now they are hid from thine eyes” – because the disposition has never been yielded. The unfathomable sadness of the “might have been!” God never opens doors that have been closed. He opens other doors, but He reminds us that there are doors which we have shut, doors which need never have been shut, imaginations which need never have been sullied. Never be afraid when God brings back the past. Let memory have its way. It is a minister of God with its rebuke and chastisement and sorrow. God will turn the “might have been” into a wonderful culture for the future.

April showers bring May flowers. Thank you Lord for the patches of purple and white violets, the bright yellow of the dandelion and the other wildflowers that are awakening. Don’t forget people to leave them for the bees that are too beginning to rise. God bless all.

We’ve had four great cockers through the years. All were bought. Buckley is our first rescue and there is a difference. His eyes! That loving look he gives. Sure we have had some issues to get him to adapt but he is smart and coming along very well. That look and the love he shows makes any problems we’ve had to deal with fade to nothingness when he gives that look.

When it comes to your spiritual life, God reads your heart’s EKG. Only God is qualified to determine your spiritual health. “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7).

A properly functioning heart is centered on God. Today’s verse, called the V’ahavta, continues the Shema, the essence of Judaism that God must be above all and loved at all times. Theologian Charles Spurgeon wrote, “It is not a little love that God deserves, nor is it a little love that He will accept. He blesses us with all of his heart and all his might and, after that fashion, we are to love him.” 

As God looks at your spiritual EKG, will He see a heart fully committed to Him, a heart that desires complete obedience to Him, a heart full of love for Him? Will He see the rhythmic beating of a heart that is kind, patient, compassionate, merciful, and loving to others?

Ask the Lord to help you, by His Spirit, to love Him and those around you so well that people are drawn to His salvation and heart transformation.

Pray for America’s Surgeon General to have a receptive heart toward the Lord.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

An interesting thing happened today. After being here at the CTH since 2014 and participating in our collaborative investigations into the Michael Brown case, Justice for Jessica, Waco-Twin Peaks, etc., my comments are now being moderated and deleted. Since I have not been informed why my comment was deleted, I have to assume I crossed some undefined red line.

The post that was moderated/deleted was posted today at 2:23 P.M. in the April 2nd Open Thread. My comment was in response to a post made by another commenter that made derogatory assertions about my beliefs and concerning some public figures. In comparison to the other poster’s rant, I believe my reply was civil and I suggested some helpful hints, such as to stop calling people names and making accusations against them without providing evidence for these accusations.

I would be very interested to know why the moderation occurred and why my comment was deleted. I would hate to think that the CTH has now adopted a group think attitude or is allowing a handful of individuals to control the search for the Truth by restricting discussion. Especially since the search for the Truth was one of the original reasons for CTH.

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and his family as they seek to lead America back to You. Also, we pray for Angels to protect and support our Sundance as he works for justice and peace. 

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall. Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.

And prayers up for all political prisoners. Prayers up for Julian Assange and for all the protesters of January 6 who were or are entrapped in DC.
