lately I have taken to making bacon weaves.
Take three slices. Cut them in half. Weave together the halves in a three by three pattern. Bake them in the oven, carefully flipping half way through.
Fall apart if I’m not careful enough. But when they bake into one piece, it is a wonderful mixture of crunchy, well rendered and tender.
And, it is perfect for any sandwich with bacon. Complete coverage.

Oh No! I grew up (sorta) about 15 miles from Wooster St in New Haven CT. Pepe’s Pizza and Sally’s Apizza are there: Pepe’s since 1925 and Sally’s since 1938. The smell from the wood-fired ovens is indescribable, and people line up around the block to partake, even in the worst weather. I can’t imagine what would happen to those “institutions” were this to happen in CT, though that state us every bit as whacko as NY. 😠

Just learned that GM is using its on=board computers to monitor driver behavior and then sell it to insurance companies and others. If you purchase a GM vehicle your driving behavior will be monitored by their on-board software. This should be a chilling revelation . . . However, there’s a response that I strongly suspect is already in the works. Hot=rodders have long ago paid attention to special ‘chips’ that alter the performance of ‘factory’ on-board computes. I’m reasonably sure that the hot-rod subculture will soon come up with a chip that specifically inhibits the on-board GM factory computer’s ability to communicate it to 3rd parties. Street-racers love freedom and libety. watch this space . . . 🙂
GM stopped using removable chips long ago, direct programming of the ECU via CAMS machine (assuming they even still work as it was like a x286) or the TECH 2 which I used to update with the CAMS machine as our other technicians were clueless on how to do that…. of course they paid me extra for that right. /s
They have been monitoring your driving behavior for a very long time, since Air bags were installed, It has recorded all computer inputs for up to minutes at least before the air bag went off.
We had a body shop in last dealer I worked for, at least once there was a team that descended on a vehicle we were to either repair or total for its data flight record … required special software that is not in the TECH 2 … yes it perked my ears up as I was the guy for air bag replacement.
GM eventually added a flight recorder that technicians could use to try to locate transient failures which was a specific amount of “frames” of data ~128 ish if I recall correctly. Probably go way longer now that memory is smaller and cheaper than it was in the 90’s.
The hot rodders I knew were using a LT1 vette engine (GM sold it complete too in late 90’s) at the time & dropping it into their body of choice with a vette programed computer & wire harness.
It is possible that someone by now has hacked GM’s programming system (or loaned out a programming CD tho it had a hardware lock installed on the CAMS for that purpose.
I got out of cars and went to forklifts in 2001 and never looked back.
The car I rented back in October on my trip did not have a camera on me but it did on the road and had some interesting displays on the dash that were not necessarily functioning that I could tell but looked like they were probably recording my ability to stay between the lines for the coming requirement of judging my alcohol influence for the 2026 mandate.
My question is what mode of upload are they using for sharing my driving data ….

Interesting info, have not seen the article but the data is from your phone I think for google/apple to sell … not necessarily the car but could be esp if sat nav / radio is installed to upload car data into the ether for harvesting.
We (forklift company) installed GPS monitoring devices on 2 brand new work vans that were not “live” data, it only downloaded to an antennae on my PC every time the vehicle parked and ignition cycled at our building.
I could set “flags” for just about everything that once downloaded vehicle info would instantly email owner & myself of tripped flags to examine in the mapping software.
After examining the data on 2 vans … everybody got one …. then after about 3 months … we brought all vehicles in for “servicing” transmission service … oil changes and such … OH and we installed a GPS system
little red light on the dashfor the GPS system that already existed tho no technician ever knew (until today anyway If they know who I am here LOL & read here, don’t think so tho).Just the GPS sensor alone could estimate speed of vehicle, harsh braking and jack rabbiting starts, that technology is in your pocket now. Many phones have Accelerometers built in now as well.
All that needs to be done is buy your phone # data if a company knows what your number is, I avoid ever giving out my personal cell phone # for many reasons most notably … fired employees submitted it … oh… everywhere for … everything.
To prove it to yourself … all you have to do is fire up google / android navigation … it shows you the speed limit in the area of road you are in as well has how fast you are going in lower left corner.
Apple most assuredly does the same, never had an iPhone tho.
I sure hope CA has revised the maximum speed limit to 80 mph … otherwise my iPhone is gonna bust me and my insurance cancelled.

Your focus sharpens as you spend time in God’s Word and in prayer, your sight improves as you lean on the Lord’s direction for your life, and your vision of what is in the distance grows clearer as you look toward eternity with Jesus.
In The Power of Vision, George Barna wrote, “Vision becomes a bold reason for living. It is a badge of purpose that the bearer wears proudly and courageously.” Other versions of today’s verse say that without vision, the people perish. God has given you a vision for your life – He has revealed His overarching purpose to you in His Word, and, through deeper study and prayer, He entrusts you with greater insight.
Just as individuals need God’s vision, so do countries. Without a long-term constructive vision, people wander aimlessly, without a real direction, indifferent to the ways of the Lord. Psalm 1:1-2 may apply to nations as well as individuals, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, but his delight is in the law of the Lord.”
Pray for the leaders of America to receive and embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that the nation might be blessed.

Salvation is not merely deliverance from sin, nor the experience of personal holiness; the salvation of God is deliverance out of self entirely into union with Himself. My experimental knowledge of salvation will be along the line of deliverance from sin and of personal holiness; but salvation means that the Spirit of God has brought me into touch with God’s personality, and I am thrilled with something infinitely greater than myself, I am caught up into the abandonment of God.
To say that we are called to preach holiness or sanctification, is to get into the side eddy. We are called to proclaim Jesus Christ. The fact that He saves from sin and makes us holy is part of the effect of the wonderful abandonment of God.
Abandonment never produces the consciousness of its own effort, because the whole life is taken up with the One to Whom we abandon. Beware of talking about abandonment if you know nothing about it, and you will never know anything about it until you have realized that John iii. 16 means that God gave Himself absolutely. In our abandonment we give ourselves over to God just as God gave Himself for us, without any calculation. The consequence of abandonment never enters into our outlook because our life is taken up with Him.

Allow me to present Clocks and Clouds by György Ligeti, who was a Hungarian-Austrian composer of varied works, some experimental, some quite in the vein of less experimental music, and always thinking of how to do something different.
He escaped from Communism in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolt against the Soviet Russians.
His music has been used rather often in movies (e.g. 2001: A Space Odyssey).
This 15-minute work is an example of his early and middle style: masses of voices and instruments creating an other-worldly atmosphere.
I find it very meditative and even religious: the temporal (Clocks) and the eternal (Clouds).
The choir sings nonsense syllables…or is it the language of Clocks and/or Clouds? 😉
You will be hooked from the very beginning, if only by the strange look of the score!

In AZ, licking Colorado River Toads reportedly gives people an LSD experience. It kills dogs. We came home from work one day to find our border collie, Kemosabe, barely alive. He had tangled with one of those buggers. The prescribed treatment is to hose out their mouth for 20 minutes, which we did. Then we shoved as much steroid as possible down his throat. By the time we got him to the vet he was improving. That vet is long gone, but told us Kemo would have died without both of those treatments.
These toads live under ground till monsoon season. Then they are everywhere. Many dogs die every year from trying to bite them. 😟

As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. My son has just told me of a friend of his who is in the last stages of Cancer. He is being kept comfortable. He is middle aged. He is a Christian.
The really sad thing is, he first found out he had cancer a few years ago, with treatment he recovered. He was cancer free.
Then someone (maybe his doctor, I don’t know for sure ) told him to take the so-called Covid ‘Vaccine’ to protect his health. Shortly after he had that shot, the cancer came back and it came back with a vengeance. It spread all over his body including the brain. There is nothing further that can be done.
In my opinion, and of others, it was the shot that brought the cancer back.
We have all heard of how this killer shot damages the immune system, hence the increased numbers of people dying before their time.
I hope no one ever takes that genocidal shot ever again.

I know it’s very alarming and discouraging. But I believe that Israel will go into Rafah anyways in the next couple of weeks.
