I just watched a show (only 4 episodes) on Netflix called American Conspiracy, The Octopus Murders. It gives details regarding a conspiracy that was being investigated by a reporter who was suicided in 1991. It involved G W Bush, William Casey and 6 others. I work in manufacturing, I’m a mid-level manager. I manage a Tool and Die department. My qualifications are that I’m a journeyman Tool and Die maker and I have an AA in Manufacturing Engineering. I’ve been in the industry since 1979. I don’t have very many years left in it and definitely not enough to train someone up to my level.
The cream rises to the top, because of the dismantling of this nations manufacturing and shipping it offshore, there’s not enough milk to make cream. When I try to hire a real Tool and Die maker, none come in to be interviewed, there just isn’t a pool of them to draw from. I have a hard time just trying to find a manual machinist.
My Die Makers are in my age group and this will be their last job as it will be mine. Our collective talent and knowledge will go with us.
I suspect that Boeing and other manufacturers are having the same problem with finding real skill and so the culture of these businesses is slowly slipping into mediocracy and incompetency.
I doubt that many people understand just how important QAQC (Quality Assurance, Quality Control) is in our highly technical society. My own industry, that nobody would consider very risky to human health, has rigorous QAQC … set up as an almost independent company within a company. Why? Primarily to control Errors and Omissions and prevent lawsuits.
i have a very bad feeling that some Harvard educated economists working for Boeing have calculated that the lawsuit payout over a planeload of dead passengers is smaller than the cost of proper quality control. I fear we’ve been bean-counted as acceptable collateral damage. That’s the sort of calculation an inhuman AI system operated by Google will produce. Profits over people.

As a Director of Engineering for multiple companies over his career, my husband twice refused to sign off and on projects and tendered his resignation because the bean counters were trying to force inferior parts/processes that would have caused life threatening safety issues.
Fortunately, both times the companies involved opted for integrity over profits, but that isn’t always what happens.

Sure, that’s an age old attack against any company that is being sued. But how does a company survive if they have to spend money to prevent any possible harm?
Let’s take lawnmowers. there are people who rig the safety systems to allow them to walk away with the motor and blade still spinning. Old mowers never had these safety systems. So, ok, there are people who for whatever reason try to lift the mower, maybe to adjust wheels, stick their fingers under the edge and get them lopped off. How much money and R&D should be spent to prevent even one person from doing this? Is one too many? Is it ok that six people do this? Where do you stop?
You can’t foresee every possible instance of people hurting themselves and blaming it on the company and no company has unlimited funds to achieve perfection.
Have any of you ever put on a pair of shoes or boots and found that they have super slippery soles? Did you see the warning label telling you that wearing them on slopes or ice or loose gravel may cause you to fall? Not yet anyway.

Manufacturers of asbestos products still “knowingly” made the products after they found out it caused mesothelioma. All the companies got the memo, and they “knowingly” ignored it.
Asbestos-containing products: plumbing, roofing materials, insulation, floor tiles, packing that was on submarines, nurseries. Brakes and clutches on vehicles. Vinyl products. Appliances. Hair dryers. Makeup. Talcum powder…
“Knowingly” is relative for engineering and quality control. Engineers “know” that lawnmowers can throw objects that can kill people. Testing shows that with minor variation objects will get thrown. Risk is evaluated and if that risk is infinitesimally small, that risk may be accepted.
Another example: Riding mowers now have reverse safety systems to prevent people from backing up with blades spinning and driving over a child. In the past engineers simply could not fathom a small child being allowed to run around the yard while the mower is running. The risk seemed too small to put any effort into even though it is accepted it could happen. Not today!
Ever see someone riding their mower around the yard with a toddler on board? Bad! Ever see someone teaching a 5 year old to run a push mower? Very Bad! How about chain saws? It should be known that some child will eventually grab the running saw. Do you put a guard making it unusable because you “know” it could happen? You “know” people will drive cars drunk at 100mph. You “know” at some point someone will drink gasoline and die. Do you penalize all because a very few are stupid? The risk is the key but parents with dead children have a totally different level of risk than product development people.
Current EV’s use lot’s of lead. They “know” lead is bad but how is it different than asbestos in brakes or roofing? Greeniacs know lead is bad but push for EV’s anyway.
We all strive for perfection but know it can’t be achieved.
Never forget – part of the agenda of the power$-that-$hould-NOT-be is to get the masses OUT of vehicles and having the ability to travel – and INTO 15-minute cities.
Of course, none of that will apply to the CONTROLLER$.
Regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) – what is the root of that? Where does it originate? Who is pushing it, and WHY?

Jack Smith was an “Assistant US Attorney” which is a “Professional” position. Thus he never even underwent the “Appointment and Senate Approval Process”, let alone going through the Approval Process for his current role.
The only twist in this whole sham that may surface, belatedly, is that AG Garland may “claim” that Jack Smith is “technically” NOT the LEAD in the Special Counsel Team prosecuting President Trump. Somebody for to use the term “assistant” or “deputy”, which make his role a “professional” hire position. AG Garland is likely scrambling to rewrite the whole Special Counsel charter and order set to name a legitimate lead.
Recall for the longest time Special Counsel Robert Mueller was operating under “verbal” orders from DAG Rod Rosenstein. This fact surface during the Manefort challenge to the legitimacy of the Mueller Special Counsel … the COURTS let the verbal orders claim stand … the Charter and Orders for Mueller were hidden, re-written and verbally issued for 4 years and the courts didn’t even question them.
This is incorrect. The bill is very narrow with no room for expansion. The four countries listed—China, Iran, North Korea and Russia—are determined by Congress so Biden can’t just add to the list. While you may disagree with the idea of banning TikTok the bill is not a catch-all.

Loomer makes a good point, however at some point, and at this stage of the game, one has to consider if it is better to control the Senate with RINO’s or keep dems in those seats and keep dems in control of the Senate. IMO, President Trump is going to need the majority in both houses to survive. RINO’s are not going away, especially in the Senate.
