I am for joining Cardinal Burke’s novena which starts on March 12 and continues to December 12, which I first posted at 12:57am. I would not have persisted had not the next post at 1:03am, taken by me, maybe incorrectly, to be push back at my post. So, being up most of the night, and the last few nights, with a diverticulitis flare up, I was more ornery than I otherwise may be. The last part where Peter replieth was sarcasm. I am all for uniting our prayers with the saints. Only our pride would cause us to refuse their help.

My mother was not at all interested in antiques, I could not understand that, I love poking about in places like that..even in shops (mostly in the UK ) selling old/antique books.
She liked modern things. the latest thing for her time. She called ornaments, no matter how valuable or beautiful, ‘dust collectors’, she loathed Victorian furnishings, She liked ‘Art Deco’ and Danish Modern furniture.
Her biggest love was hats. She loved hats, She often made her own with a simple basic form ( I don’t think you could even find them to buy anymore, to which she added her own touches . You don’t see hats in department stores much anymore but when they did have them she would make a beeline for that department .
She was great fun to shop with. How I do miss her. How the years have flown.

Two months ago there was a prison break in Ecuador and one of the drug cartel leaders was freed and the government was unable to stop it.
A couple of days ago there was another violent uprising in Haiti after the assassination of Jovenel Moise by people with ties to Columbia according to sources. Like Ecuador the prisons were opened up by anarchists and the temporary president is currently in exile at the moment unable to return.
It may be a little early to judge but it seems like the Caribbean and South America may be having it’s version of an Arab Spring

Pray for America’s leaders to humble themselves before the Father, pray, and find life in Jesus.

Joy means the perfect fulfilment of that for which I was created and regenerated, not the successful doing of a thing. The joy Our Lord had lay in doing what the Father sent Him to do, and He says – “As My Father hath sent Me, even so am I sending you.” Have I received a ministry from the Lord? If so, I have to be loyal to it, to count my life precious only for the fulfilling of that ministry. Think of the satisfaction it will be to hear Jesus say – “Well done, good and faithful servant”; to know that you have done what He sent you to do. We have all to find our niche in life, and spiritually we find it when we receive our ministry from the Lord. In order to do this we must have companied with Jesus; we must know Him as more than a personal Saviour. “I will show him how great things he must suffer FOR MY SAKE.”
“Lovest thou Me?” Then – “Feed My sheep.” There is no choice of service, only absolute loyalty to Our Lord’s commission; loyalty to what you discern when you are in closest contact with God. If you have received a ministry from the Lord Jesus, you will know that the need is never the call: the need is the opportunity. The call is loyalty to the ministry you received when you were in real touch with Him. This does not imply that there is a campaign of service marked out for you, but it does mean that you will have to ignore the demands for service along other lines.

It’s one thing to do chores of duty that are necessary for comfort and survival, but it’s another to really know you are doing the work of the Lord according to his will. When the two are connected, it feels much more inwardly meaningful. When there are only chores and duties to perform, without a greater sense of purpose, there is a sore emptiness that can set in.
It may require a sacrifice of one effort for the other, but the two are ultimately intertwined. This has been on my mind for sometime and I appreciate the great thought for this day.

Today marks the 53rd trip around this star we call Sol on this rock we call Earth for me. My friend Bill turned me on to the CTH many years ago and for several years I just lurked but eventually decided to add my song to the Treehouse. Many here don’t appreciate or understand my words and I understand this, some do understand and I am thankful for that, birds of a feather and all that. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

What’s up with the password protected posts? How do you get the password?

The rest of us have gotten so tired of this. Months and months of preparing us. Giving us the password. Giving us practice protected pages. Then came the real protected pages. And somehow, every time, tons of people that are surprised, that are caught flatfooted, that need help. But also people that forgot it, or who type it in wrong.
We used to volunteer hints. Like the site is searchable. But now, not so many helpful hints.
And Admin plugs on. Telling people to email them.
The funny thing, is that anybody charged with monitoring us would have written it down. Passed it around in their organization. They’d have no problems reading it. Mostly it just harms newbies and occasional visitors. As well as the forgetful and the fumble fingered.
But it is not designed to block people. It is to stop AI spiders snooping, collecting everything.
So if you aren’t an AI spider, email the admins.
At least you’re not training an AI program to recognize busses, motor cycles or crosswalks.
