President Trump won 12 of the 16 Michigan delegates in yesterday’s primary. The remaining 39 delegates will be awarded in Saturday’s Michigan convention caucuses, which are represented by 3 delegates from each of the 13 congressional districts.
Delegates up for grabs in the primary were awarded proportionally to any candidate who finished with at least 12.5% of the vote. The congressional district delegates allocated during the convention will be awarded proportionally, too. But a candidate who wins the majority in any district will receive all three of its delegates.
Since President Trump won each one of the 13 congressional districts by more than 50%, he should be awarded all of the 39 delegates. We’ll see if any of those 39 are RINOs up to their usual tricks.
Here is how it works on Saturday.
On March 2, 13 separate congressional district caucus meetings will be held at a statewide convention to award 39 delegates. Each district will award three delegates each. All meetings will begin at 10 a.m.
Only state lawmakers and elected Michigan GOP precinct delegates can vote at the caucus. The precinct delegates were elected in local elections in August 2022 and elevated at county conventions on Feb. 15.
Based on the results of the district caucuses and the Feb. 27 primary, the Michigan GOP state committee will meet by 8:30 p.m. on March 2 to allocate the delegates to the Republican candidates.

“German media is now reporting that the Hessen however was unable to identify the drone and opened fire. The German news magazine Der Spiegel is now reporting that it appears they targeted an American drone on Monday. The magazine reports two missiles were fired from the Hessen on Monday at the unidentified drone but missed the target and crashed into the sea due to a “technical defect.”

I’d like to call this community’s attention to a recent article entitled “The Rocky Road to De-Dollarization.”
It is an interview with an expert in the subject. Nothing “political” here beyond the obvious, but “food for thought.” There are lots of people out there who are thinking very seriously about this subject, and the apparent vital necessity for it. (This article is not “easy reading.”)

I don’t know if I would actually call it “a threat,” Kent. I think that it is very simply: “the new reality, ‘like it or not.'” The present situation for international trade has become untenable for the actual daily participants – it is entirely too dependent upon “a single country, The United States.” But for no physically-compelling reason. The international community is now recognizing “the problem” and they are deliberately crafting answers. (As any group of rational human beings faced with a problem would of course do.)
It is only “a threat” to those who – may I suggest – “have had it ‘much too good’ for ‘much too long.'” Going forward, “our nation” is probably going to have to undergo quite a few “humility lessons.” And perhaps – although such “life lessons” are always painful – this might turn out to be “a very good thing.”
Sorta like “that vital ‘life lesson'” that a school psychologist taught me in eighth grade: “No, you are not ‘the smartest kid in school.'” (And, “you don’t have to be.”) (Thank you, thank you, “Mister Hindershot.” Yeah, that was his name.)
I’ve just got to add to my post the final paragraph of this piece … referring to a “hypersonic bicycle.” 🤡

According to the media, McConnell has decided to retire as the Majority Leader of the Senate. The fine print shows this won’t actually happen until November and he will serve out his term. So, the news doesn’t sound like much and the gang of fools are already trying to line up for old Mitch’s job. I hope we get Sundance’s take on this and why such an announcement was even made.

I actually just want to read Sundance’s analysis of this announcement by old Mitch. No offense, but I am not interested which of two birds of a feather is more evil. I don’t have any plans to quit on Trump, if he is finally getting some control over the Repug Party, or any such. I also have way too much trouble with word checkers. We all do, and if you are nearly deaf, reading the dialog tag lines is ridiculous. They deliberately mess up words they are programmed not to show on TV. It would be hilarious if I could hear what they actually say. As it is, ….dammit all!
I suspect his anti-Trump machinations and treachery will continue unabated, only out of the leadership spotlight. He probably deserves watching closer than ever.
