It took less than a half hour for President Trump to be declared the winner of the South Carolina primary. It was an easy roll to victory with the former president easily defeating former Gov. Nikki Haley in her own home state. The race was called by major networks shortly after the polls closed at 7 pm.
There are 50 delegates at stake. How they are apportioned is a bit tricky. Trump has a lead of 25 to 30 points in most polls, positioning him to capture the 29 at-large delegates that go to the statewide winner. The remaining 21 delegates are divided among the state’s seven congressional districts. The winner in each district gets three delegates – and Trump has a good chance of winning all seven congressional districts.
The next primary is Tuesday, in Michigan.

MSNBC has just reported that Barbour republican RNC member (corrupt Haley Barbour’s son) has announced a proposal for the entire 168 RNC to vote – Until Trump has required delegates the RNC and Nikki remains a candidate the RNC and Trump campaign cannot join. TRANSLATION: RNC won’t support Trump in campaign ads, campaign funds or in any way act like they are in favor of Trump candidacy.
So now we know the Democrats and antiTrump RINO/neocons are using a willing Nikki to park on the RNC Primary fracturing the traditional role of the RNC.
BTW here in TN the Republicans have passed a bill last year that requires voters formally file their Party affiliation in order to vote in a Primary. Our early voting Primary started 2/14 and will run through 2/27 but just this week Nikki and her PAC will support court challenge to this law claiming it’s unconstitutional. Last time I checked the Constitution gives the Legislatures the power to conduct their state Presidential elecitons pursuant to their rules and requirements established by their laws.

A draft resolution presented by a senior member of the Republican National Committee aims to delay the party’s official backing of former President Donald Trump as its nominee for the upcoming presidential election.
Another proposed resolution seeks to prevent the RNC from covering Trump’s legal expenses. These developments indicate a potential rift within the party regarding its alignment with Trump and the allocation of resources, NBC News reported.
The resolutions were sponsored by Henry Barbour, Mississippi’s national committeeman.

The resolutions are set to be deliberated during the RNC’s gathering in Houston on March 7 and 8.
Meanwhile, uncertainty looms over the tenure of RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, as calls for her replacement by Michael Whatley persist.
