My wife saw a patient the other day (orthopedic issue). She told the story of how she didn’t feel well and drove herself to the hospital (that’s what they do in small southern towns). They told her they needed to put her on a vent, 2-3 months later she made out luckily. One of the few I’ve heard of that got put on a vent and lived.

That is an excellent question. I visited my daughter and son-in-law there in the early 2000s when my daughter was stationed there in the USAF. At that time, when I arrived and when I departed, I had to actually seek out restaurants (using the term lightly) in the airport that sold any beverage that contained alcohol.
I did “roll my eyes” yet understood that this was “who they were” as Mormons, and acknowledge that what I saw of their State was nice. It was much greener in foliage than Colorado. I had only few and brief encounters with any residents there.

I know these women have worked very hard to be the best in their sport. I understand that college scholarships may be at stake. I know it is difficult to not play your sport regardless of who else is on the field with you.
But the country needs you now. There are many people who have given far more for the welfare of their country. For example, they have sacrificed many things they would rather be doing to serve in the military. They have fought wars. They had to put their lives and sports interests on hold.
IMO not jumping into the pool with a trans swimmer who you just had to look at in the locker room is a small price to pay to change the insanity. If everyone did this it would stop. Let the guy swim the race alone. In the long run taking a stand like this will get you a lot farther in life than jumping into that pool. Thinking about the big picture, not just yourself and what you want, is what is required.

God “popularized” “rapture” in the 1st book written to the Thessalonians, New Testament of the Bible.
Chapter 4, verse 17 hold the words that speak of the rapture. They read, “Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.”
The word “rapture” is nowhere in the Bible, because the word — rapture — came to us through a Latin translation, instead of a Greek or Hebrew translation, which are the languages the Bible was written in.
Where the Bible says we will be “caught up,” the translation that stuck and is used today to mean “caught up” is rapture.
