John 3:9-11 “Nicodemus answered and said unto Him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, You are the teacher of Israel, and these things [you] know not? Verily, verily, I say to you, We speak that We do know, and testify that We have seen; and you receive not Our witness.”
Nicodemus came to Jesus by night secretly, because he was afraid of the scorn and ridicule of his colleagues, who absolutely hated, and had rejected Jesus of Nazareth for being their Lord; and would never be willing to humble themselves before Christ, nor ever subordinate their position and power over the people. Even so, the Lord graciously received him, and with good will attended to his questions, and the clear distress of conscience Nicodemus was under.
However difficult he had in formulating his problem, to be able to express it in words; the Lord knew what was in his heart, and so answered directly to his heart, “Verily, verily, I say to you, Except a man be *born again (born from above), he cannot see the kingdom of God.” And Jesus having gotten right to the heart of Nicodemus’ crisis, he responded, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?”
It is evident, that this natural way of approaching spiritual things, is the result of the teaching and culture of Rabbinic Judaism that he has only known all his life: and so, the Lord understanding all of it, does not however treat him as anything mentally uncapable, but patiently continues; forcing Nicodemus to search, and to think beyond the narrow confines of his customary ways of meditating the word.
“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say to you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said to you, [that] you must be *born again (born from above). The wind blows where it may find a way, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell from what place it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”
Well now we get to the real heart of the matter with Nicodemus’ difficulties. His next response shows, that he just has this block he cannot overcome, to make sense out of what Jesus is telling him. Now grant it, that these things are in effect brand new to him, and completely foreign to the religion he was raised in all his life: but still you would think that there might begin to be a little light flickering in; but he still holds on to his own way of listening; and just doesn’t get it. “Nicodemus answered and said unto Him, How can these things be?”
“Jesus answered and said to him, You are the teacher of Israel, and these things [you] know not? Verily, verily, I say to you, We speak that We do know, and testify that We have seen; and you receive not Our witness.” So there it is: the Great Physician has made His examination, and now gives the diagnosis; Its because, for all your strictness in observing the teachings and traditions as you have been taught, you have not even understood what is the whole context of the Scriptures, of which YOU are supposed to be the teacher and the leading example for Israel! And why?
Because you do not receive the word of God according to the faith, as it was delivered to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Moses and all the prophets; for the intent that it has been spoken to you; therefore do you not understand what I am saying to you. God has given His witness and His understanding; but you do not receive it! And next to this, we can be sure; that if the leaders and teachers don’t know what they’re doing, or even what the work is; then how can the people whom they are supposed to be caring for and guiding in God, have any idea what is the doctrine?
Now the Lord does not say these things, to just leave the man in his quandary; but leads him on gently, to give him to understand, that there are things which God has in mind for His people, yet to come; but that there are conditions for coming to them, that must be accomplished according to God’s ways, and not ours. “If I have told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?”
The doctrine of our need for a new birth, was in fact intimated at in the very first announcing of Christ coming in the flesh to redeem us to God. When the LORD God told the serpent, that He now put enmity between him and the woman, between his seed and her Seed; that he would bruise Its heel, and He would bruise his head, (Genesis 3:15); He was essentially declaring that eternal life to come, after this present evil world; for which Christ was coming to separate the good from the bad, by exposing the thoughts of every man’s heart. In this therefore, Rabbinic Judaism had utterly failed its duty to shepherd Israel unto Christ, and the knowledge of salvation: and it was because of their stubborn and defiant nature, that the light had been withheld.
Now while this stubbornness and love of contention in the chosen people, has been rather finely worked into a deeply held system of religion; which they have, albeit unwittingly, taken to substitute repentance and conversion; and counterfeit walking with a perfect heart, knowing and understanding God: yet it is precisely this strongly held and defended superstition, that prevents the Light from entering in, and enlightening them to the whole meaning of the Bible being of Jesus Christ the Son of God.
And as strong as they hold on to their traditions and beliefs, they as strongly or more so, hold onto their identity as Jews, that they do not believe, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And this was the whole reason why everyone who confessed Jesus, was cast out of the Synagogue, and denounced as a traitor and an apostate. But this is not going to be the end of the story with Israel. For God has made them so for a set time, till the fullness of the times of the Gentiles is come in.
Romans 11:25 “For I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.” God has let them go with their choices for a set time; and uses it rather for chastening them for their unbelief and stubborn way; and to provoke them to jealousy, as they see innumerable multitudes of the Gentiles believing in Jesus and being saved.
But the hour is coming very soon, when God will have finished going to the Gentiles, and will give them up to all that they have imagined to do since Babel: at which time, He will return to His people Israel in the last days; and will send Enoch and Elijah to prophesy among them; and will also reveal to Israel again the ark of the covenant and the tablets of the law which are still kept in it. All this will be during the height of the kingdom of the Antichrist; and will be how God uses Satan to sift the hearts of every person who inhabits the earth, just before His return.
1 John 5:7-10 “For there are Three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these Three are One. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in One. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he has testified of His Son. He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself: he that believes not God has made Him a liar; because he believes not the record that God gave of His Son.”
Proverbs 22:17-21 “Bow down your ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart unto My knowledge. For it is a pleasant thing if you keep them *within you (in your belly); they shall therewith be fitted in your lips. That your trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to you this day, even to you. Have not I written to you excellent things in counsels and knowledge, that I might make you know the certainty of the words of truth; that you might answer the words of truth to them that send unto you?”
Verily, verily (love that language) … Christ KNOWS that we are Spirit … not just flesh and bone. That something greater and unseen is our true essence. Unless we see that, and understand that … we’re lost. It’s GOOD to listen to Christ’s admonitions.
I too love that Jesus knows what’s in our heart longing for Him, even when we have a tough time formulating our thoughts, or not even know what all the problem is yet. I like how He helped Nicodemus work through to the core issue of his need, that he had to be born again, and with that, the things he had to change or get rid of, in order to find it. Jesus also did not treat him as mentally less than, because he was slow to get it; but told him the truth, and explained it patiently; pointing out, that it was not his mental capacity, but his spiritual resistance to believe the word.
Some times I think a big mistake is made, by trying to talk down to people about the harder things to be understood. We have to let each other learn how to think and do the inner work, so God can reveal to them what He wants to. If we treat people like kindergartners, then we not only take away from the word’s full context just for making it palatable, or easy to swallow; but we keep them on milk, when God wants them on solid meat; and we never take the training wheels off, so they can ride the bike like its made for.
A personal note to the LGBTQueers … videos all in black and white … binary colors … two colors. Like Men and women … black and white. Binary. There is no such thing as “trans” … just make believe … nobody has “transitioned” into anything different than how they were born. You know … you were “born that way”, Right?
We are conceived that way.
And we are born as we were conceived.
Technology can be used to see what we are while in the womb. Or parents can wait to learn it at birth.
A few, very few, are indeterminate at birth. Those are the only people who get ‘assigned’. And usually it is to the sex that is dominant.
Indeterminate or not, if you have at least one Y chromosome, you are male. No Y chromosome, just Xs, and you are female. Use that test to guide any assignment and they will never go wrong.

None of us were fans or watchers of the sport, err theatrics … but we knew the names of the wrestlers … Pat Patterson, Ray Stevens etc. Well, one of those wrestlers was named Kinji Shibuya … a Japanese-American pro wrestler … because everyone needs a pro wrestler who “looks like them”😜. Well … that name stuck with me after all these years as memorable and unique … so one day … when I needed a screen name … that name just popped into my head (retrieved from my memory of pro wrestling magazines in 1965 … yeah our brains are super computers) So I anglicized his first name and typed it up. And no, I don’t “look like him” … I just liked the name. Although I am an admirer of Japanese culture, gardens and architecture … and their almost fanatical perfectionism

It’s interesting, I have always wondered about screen names and I thought there should be a thread of “why I chose my name…”. But probably because of my friend’s son, I had always thought it was your real name.

As for the covid disaster – I completely agree with you. I used to love Australia with all of my heart. Now, I fear the government and what they may do next. And I am super disappointed in the people.
I still cannot work in my field of 20 years (scientist) in my state because of vaccine requirements. Now I have 2 casual jobs that are minimum wage. I really enjoy them, but it’s upsetting to have a career taken from me.
And I’m fairly certain that I’ve been traumatised. I’m certainly not my old self. I believe it’s only partly because of my own circumstances, but mostly because I saw so many politicians and bureaucrats turn into mass murderers – along with doctors and other medical people. From withholding treatments and from forcing a medical experiment. Even on children and pregnant women. And because I knew (like probably many Treepers) from the beginnings, I watched them doing it in real time. I don’t know how to get past that.
That’s sad … and brave. Sad that you’ve lost your career … brave that you refuse to bend the knee. I am sure there are PLENTY of Australians like you … and indeed, I saw many defying your government’s storm troopers. Let me clarify … I 🩷 the Australian people like you who refuse to buy the lies. Go visit a lumber mill. The amount of sheer power involved in moving those tree trunks around and chopping them up with circle saws that are four feet in diameter is ridiculous. I got lots of goose bumps that day. They have a planer, when they first fired it up it sent a 8 or 10 foot board through the side of the mill at 50 mph. Too loud to think. It was awesome, in every sense of the word.

I am on my 12th dog, and have only had four that are as you describe. The four were all mixed-breed, except for one rottie (found her loose in detroit; she was special). The others were all my purebred shepherds (some smart, some not; but no shepherd has/had the quality you describe and have with your precious).
I could go on (I’m a licensed veterinary technician) because I love the doggies! I do not work in that field anymore, but maintain my licensure.

All initiative is not inspired. A man may say to you – “Buck up, take your disinclination by the throat, throw it overboard, and walk out into the thing.” That is ordinary human initiative. But when the Spirit of God comes in and says, in effect, “Buck up,” we find that the initiative is inspired.
We all have any number of visions and ideals when we are young, but sooner or later we find that we have no power to make them real. We cannot do the things we long to do, and we are apt to settle down to the visions and ideals as dead, and God has to come and say – “Arise from the dead.” When the inspiration of God does come, it comes with such miraculous power that we are able to arise from the dead and do the impossible thing. The remarkable thing about spiritual initiative is that the life comes after we do the “bucking up.” God does not give us overcoming life; He gives us life AS WE OVERCOME. When the inspiration of God comes, and He says – “Arise from the dead,” we have to get up; God does not lift us up. Our Lord said to the man with the withered hand – “Stretch forth thy hand,” and as soon as the man did so, his hand was healed, but he had to take the initiative. If we will do the overcoming, we shall find we are inspired of God because He gives life immediately.

Apartment Complex South of Marble Falls, Texas
By any chance are there any Treepers who live in or around Marble Falls, Texas who are acquainted with the large apartment complex being built about 6 to 7 miles South of Marble Falls?
We live near San Antonio, our daughter and her family live North of Fort Worth. Last week we were heading North on US-281 to visit them. Most of the time I can detect DLR (don’t look right). I do not believe that Marble Falls is very much of an “Industrial Hub”. Instead it is mostly; weekend visitors, vacation destination, and retirement.
I am retired from the commercial truck sales business (real trucks, not the little carline pickups) and sold trucks to a few people in and around Marble Falls. Hanson Aggregates, LLC, for one, bought a used single axle tractor converted into a water tank truck from me for their mining operation in Marble Falls some years ago. We lived in San Antonio for 20 years before retiring out to the Hill Country, West of San Antonio. As a family we have driven to Marble Falls a few times just to eat breakfast at The Bluebonnet Cafe. One year my wife and I rented a Harley Davidson Power Glide for a Hill Country vacation tour and stayed at the motel on the river near the highway. We have done the Zip Line which is East of there on the highway to Austin. So I am somewhat acquainted with the growth of, or rather lack of growth of Marble Falls.
When I spotted the large housing development going in on the West side of 281, then almost immediately the large apartment complex being built on the East side of the 281 I detected DLR and thought about the United States Government up to something no good with illegal aliens.
Does any one know what is behind the sudden building boom in Marble Falls?
Is this one of those “Slowly at First”?
Am I imagining something that is not there?

The cheapest 1 BR 1 BA where I live 30 miles NW of Indianapolis is going for $1,500/month, plus utilities. We are right on the I-65 corridor about 2 1/2 hours SE of Chicago.
Our illegal, organized crime, government is attacking us with the “locust” effect that is so unpleasantly outlined in scripture and described in full detail straight from Page 5 and 6 of Machiavelli’s “The Prince”.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
