While we’re on the subject of interpreters, ALL faiths that draw at least a major “portion” of that faith from and in “agreement” with the texts of what they call the Old Testament – ALL suffer from translation and interpretation issues – some can be fundamental. However it cannot be argued that the ORIGINAL texts are in the Hebrew language. Much is lost in translation and never able to be truly recovered in deeper layers and meanings (Kabbalah in one example) once a translation from the original has occurred, despite the best of intention. To this day we see a classic example of “differences” in what words mean. I truly believe that without getting as close to the source as possible (being able and proficient in ancient Hebrew would be ideal), but a near as possible is the only way to truly begin to understand. Make no mistake, the translators have done a good job on the whole – everybody “gets the picture”, but it get blurred here and there. Which always leaves room for “argument” – since everybody believes “theirs” is right. The truth is the truth, there is ONLY one truth, and so far we’re all still looking.

After the deep freeze and being frozen in ice for over a week last month our local florist got his weekly flower shipment of frozen blackened flowers. The entire shipment was lost. I’m thinking this is still happening all over in the icy frozen places of our country adding to the costs.

Israel Update:
Good news!
A crazy heroic successful hostage rescue of two hostages from the heart of Rafah (South city in Gaza that is not conquered yet and is full of terrorists). It all took place at 1:00 AM and took about an hour while the War Cabinet and High command are watching and directing.
Many took part. First the Air Force attacked nearby Hamas terrorists to create a distraction.
Then Israeli Navy Seals with some other Commando forces secure a zone around the building where two hostages were held on the second floor.
Then the YAMAM (Israel’s premier counter terror unit and hostage rescue that is actually a part of the Border police) along with Shabak (Spy Agency) arrive quietly, They arrive using a special IDF Unit that is specialized in “special transportation in war zones”.
The YAMAM comes from the roof and breaks the doors using explosives and manages to rescue the two hostages (61 and 71 old males who were in captivity since 10/7).
The forces are all under heavy fire and Israel directs Air Force attacks and tanks and kills some 100 people mostly terrorists.
The special vehicle unit rescue the lead attack force out of Rafah. Only one very lightly injured soldier everyone else is well as far as I know at this time. The two hostages land in a hospital in Israel and meet their families. The are physically well.
As a tribute to the YAMAM I am posting here a video with their training and operations.
As footage emerges I will also post about the hostage rescue.

Funny to watch some of the trolls that hit Bastardi’s X page. Bunch of them from the NYC area and New England saying winter is over last week. Now most have STFU now with a few still hanging in there saying the models are all wrong and they’ll only get 3-4 inches in NYC and Long Island while the models are showing 9-11″.

Hi Rah, thank you for the weather updates. Rain continued into the afternoon. As it stopped the wind started up blowing out any warmth we had. Our low tonight is supposed to drop to 32 after 50 last night.
Our robins returned last week also, seems to be mostly males. The blue jays too, and they are quite twitterpated. All our trees were alive with birdsong this morning singing that spring is nigh.

Biography: Charles Schultz is the author of “Peanuts” the much-loved cartoon series featuring the characters of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy and Linus with his blanket.
From a young age Charles Schultz wanted to be a cartoonist. When he initially sold his cartoon “Li’l Folks” to United Feature Syndicate in 1950 its name was changed to “Peanuts”, to avoid a claim on the title from the owner a 1930’s strip called “Little Folks”. Shultz himself never liked the name, and avoided using it conversation.
Peanuts grew in popularity, books were published and in 1965 it appeared on the cover of “Time” magazine. In the same year the first animated TV special was broadcast, winning Schulz his first Grammy award. An off-Broadway show also ran for four years, followed by a musical.
Over the decades “Peanuts” popularity continued, the NASA Apollo 10 mission used Snoopy in its safety program and an animated film appeared in 1969. At its height “Peanuts” appeared in 2,600 papers in 75 countries, in 21 languages. Schulz retired in 1999 not long before his death of cancer but his creation continues to live on and a new 3D computer animated movie was released in 2015.

How many times have they been dead wrong about Arctic sea ice?
Just to put this into perspective. Sea ice is extent, thickness, volume, and area are all greatly effected by storms and wind and wave action and thus sea ice has always been a poor proxy for the climate in the shorter term. But it is useful for assessing the longer term historically. But the “experts” won’t tell you that because until recently it was a great way to stoke fear and prompted the use of the drowning polar bear to be an Icon of the “we’re all gonna die from climate change” cabal. (BTW the polar bear populations in N America are growing and have been since they started heavily restricting the number of hunting permits issued when the bears were declared “endangered”)
During a much of the Little Ice Age (1300 to 1850) Arctic sea ice extent closed the northern ports of Iceland during the winters and during the height of that cold period Iceland was completely cut off at times as sea ice blocked all of the ports completely surrounding the island. That is an example of using sea ice to determine what the climate was in the longer term.
During my lifetime Arctic sea ice reached it’s peak in 1979 and that is when the government or academics like to start their graphs. They claim that 1979 was when it first became possible to map the sea ice accurately by satellite. Not true. Satellites started mapping sea ice in 1972 but 1979 saw the launching of technologically better satellites more suited for the purpose. However that older data was still reasonably accurate. Anyway by starting their graphs at the winter of 79-80 they could show a steady downward trend, that is until 2020. Since 2020 the trend has been up and thus most of them aren’t talking about Arctic sea ice extent anymore. That metric is now running counter to the snake oil they’ve been selling. I’m a diabetic, and my endocrinologist pushed Ozempic HARD on me … a very expensive drug for my Cadillac healthcare provider to buy. Well … it was awful … absolutely awful … for my GI tract (I won’t go into detail). I know my body quite well and I told her (my endo-) that these types of drugs (I had a similar experience with a precursor version of Ozempic) don’t work for my body. Simply put … I wasn’t going to go through the rest of my life with constant diarrhea (sorry, I said I wasn’t going to go into detail). I stopped taking it over her whining objections. I’m glad I stopped.
There are farrrrrr healthier ways to lower A1c and keep weight off.

My Dr. pushed HARD as well for me to take statins for cholesterol and about 8 years ago I just finally gave in and started on them. Within 30 days I was sick and tired in the real sense, so I stopped taking them, called said Dr. and blood results showed i was in liver failure. Dr. wanted me to stay on and see ‘a specialist’. I did not continue the meds, saw specialist and explained what I felt was the connection and luckily, he agreed. Followed up a few times for liver enzymes and was back to 100% within 30 days. Statins are being taken like candy in this country and its a damn shame.
And statins are dirt cheap … which makes me wonder WHAT exactly are they pushing these for? My cholesterol numbers are fabulous … and my Doctors all insist I take statins

my niece is taking it for weight loss ONLY. shes not diabetic. she has become rail thin and I am the one sick to my stomach over it. I am not part of the conversation, as I do not speak millennial as a second language. these days, prayer is my working language.
I’m on a diet and limit myself to no more than 1500 cal per day. I’ve lost 45 pounds and want to lose about 30 more. I was thinking about taking Ozempic until I saw that video and I could not afford the cost even with Medicare and private insurance.
My husband is type 2 and thankfully he wasn’t offered any of the newer meds. He is on a low dosage of metformin. We will ask the doctor tomorrow to stop it since his weight, sugars and A1c are totally under control. It took him awhile to realize carb and portion control are the keys to normalizing his blood sugars but also his weight.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
