Snoot spray will be heading my way to try …. why I moved to CO … only place I ever found that my sinuses cleared out, not totally but enough that I can breath through both holes instead of one.
Had a Ear, Nose and Throat doctor (Bloomington) that always went to as a kid (in IND) …. he once told me as an adult as I had rather continuous nose bleeds …. don’t blow so hard …. doc … I CAN’T breath (thru my nose).
He had given me scrips for everything that was new on the market … flonase & such way before it was OTC and such … nothing helped.

Currently just use Ocean or Wally world equivalent.
Manuka honey is actual bee produced honey from a tea tree’s pollen which is native to New Zealand. The nasal spray is a Manuka honey and saline (salt water) solution. You can actually mix your own up with a brand new unopened bottle of saline solution and mix in the honey which can be found at some regular grocer chains.
It can solve bacterial sinusitis but not fungal or viral. It acts like Drano does for a drain for the nose within five minutes on flushing out your sinus cavities.
Plain honey and saline has positive effects but the effects of the Manuka honey are markedly better. Any Honey is a natural anti biotic and can be swabbed on open wounds to sterilize. It can be a messy sticky treatment obviously but it works great.
The Manuka honey itself (not the nasal spray) can be taken daily orally daily for stomach and digestion issues and is of great benefit. It has a rather stronger flavor than average honey.
I use the Manuka spray regularly and never had issue with yeast or fungus but you should keep things as sterile as possible. I will be sending for the Snoot to try it also.

This also assumes I’m not offed by some tourist running a stop light and T-boning me when I go out to deliver a pizza … this happens to me about twice a month … narrowly missed a big black RV that I did not see that was really late running the light(I had green for a good 3 sec… good thing I drive a manual trans for built in delay), he had custom running lights that were not very visible … that would be intentional for the cool factor too. Million dollar mansion on wheels … more dollars than sense, see way to many of those round here.

You would laugh. Daughter and I have taken to pulling over on the side of the road when we see a beautiful bird. We stopped for one that appeared to be a type of woodpecker yesterday and daughter calls out to it as if she’ll lead it into the car with us. Lol
We miss our feeders and our wildlife at our old place. We were so blessed with its abundance that we named our furry and feathery friends. The squirrels were Crooked Tail Charlie, Fat Boy, Narrow Johnny, and Savannah the red squirrel named after you-know-who. Makes me giggle thinking about it.
My little gardens were safe havens and the blooms were magnificent and attracted bees, butterflies, and our squirrels, rabbits, four raccoons who were all the same age and traveled together like a band of masked brothers, chipmunks, hawks, turkey buzzards, and a coyote.
Neighbors would walk our pedestrian friendly neighborhood and always come by to view my gardens. They loved my flowers, planted to bloom continously from Spring through Fall. Hastas 8 ft in diameter despite constant splitting, various lilies and stargazers, rhododendron, lily of the valley, hyssop. It smelled glorious and I loved pulling weeds in the rain.
The animals never damaged a thing on our property, were so noble, and friendly. The squirrels would gorge themselves on our bird feed and corn and then lay flat and veg out on our fire table like they just finished Thanksgiving and needed a little reclining to watch the game. Little goofs.
Our cats had so much fun watching them that we placed viewing perches by our windows.
There was so much life there. For them and for us.
Garden of Eden, woo.
It was a small one, linwik, but certainly an image of Heaven and the Divine for me.

Luke 12:13-31 “And one of the company said to Him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. And He said to him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? And He said to them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses. And He spoke a parable to them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: and he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said to him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided? So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
And He said to His disciples, Therefore I say to you, Be not anxious for your life, what you shall eat; neither for the body, what you shall put on. The life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. What is the difference between a man and all the animals? God created the animals by commanding the sea and the earth to bring forth the living creature after their kind. Man was not created like that at all; but God Himself took of the dust of the earth, and formed man in His own image and likeness; and breathed into the man’s nostrils the breath of life, and he became a living soul.
Ecclesiastes 3:19-21 “For that which befalls the sons of men befalls beasts; even one thing befalls them: as the one dies, so dies the other; yes, they have all one breath; so that a man has no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. All go to one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. Who knows the spirit of man that goes upward, and the spirit of the beast that goes downward to the earth?”
What is it about this life; that is so fraught with toil and trouble and sorrow, and only ends in departing with nothing, just like we came? The Preacher’s point is, that we are dust, and unto dust we shall return; so what is all the vanity worth, since we can’t carry anything away when we go? The answer is precisely what the average man in the world thinks is his life; but God is not in his thoughts at all.
It is interesting how the man in the crowd, while seemingly disconnected to everything the Lord was saying, and his mind completely absorbed in what he thought was his right to the inheritance money; he unwittingly offered himself as an example, for bringing the crowds into what the Lord was teaching them.
Jesus had been teaching about how we should take heed to ourselves, and beware of the leaven of hypocrisy. And as He continues reasoning on that point, it becomes clear, that the reason men like hypocrisy, is because they think they can hide their true nature and behavior by putting on an outward performance; entirely meant to mislead, so people would think that we are something we are not. And why specifically? Because of fear of persecution for righteousness’ sake.
So as the Lord is telling how God will be with us, to support us with all the grace we will need, when facing the opposition and contradiction and judgment seats of men; and saying that even while we are meat for them who seek to devour us; God doesn’t forget a single little bird that was taken for a poor man’s dinner; and even the hairs of our head are all numbered. These are the words which shine light upon the innermost parts of our thoughts, about the worth of our life, and how to answer for our Conscience to God in a world of hated and hostile spirits presiding over the thoughts of men.
So the man’s question wasn’t completely disconnected from what Jesus was talking about; and his simple boldness to just speak up to the Lord in front of everyone, shows a degree of honesty, that deserves to be answered. But the Lord’s answer strikes directly on the point, that every ordinary man has to deal with; which is his “rights” to fair treatment, and natural worthiness of being respected as a man. Maybe it was in their father’s will, that one of the sons was not to get an equal portion as the other. Maybe the one brother was really trying to steal his brother’s portion. Whatever the reason; Jesus sharply and decisively cut off immediately any possibility of their expecting Him getting into the middle of their private dispute. And Jesus goes further by saying, essentially, to forget your rights, and forget about the idea of possessions meaning a thing really in your life.
So, in the most righteous and sacred thoughts of men, and how we could best live with one another, and how to govern ourselves; the first thing named, is our unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of *happiness; (originally, ‘Property’). I think it was Benjamin Franklin who said, (paraphrased) The only way this form of government can work at all, and survive intact, is when all the citizens are Christians. But what we are talking about, is the life that God made man to be as His child; and not a man left in the world to fend for himself, and devise the best way to live for himself, with no expedience of being and living for God.
Jesus says, that man’s life does not consist of the things he possesses; and that demanding one’s rights is for all intents and purposes, covetousness; which is idolatry. There are many who will all too happily try to talk their way around this, and water it down so its not so “radical or fanatic” for those who tithe and pay their salaries: but the message is plain enough: this is not our home, we are far more than our vanity supposes us to be, we are as high above the animals as the image of God is above the life forms brought forth of the sea and the earth.
The point, as I see it; is that God created the heavens and the earth, and all things in them, and all life and the spirits of all living; as complete Eco-systems; all perfectly working and able to keep living and multiplying and replenishing itself. That God made the world, and all living things; He already has made for all our being able to continue to live: and when He made every living thing, including man; He blessed them and said, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth: and I have given you every herb of the field for food. That is all part of the complete system; and all the innumerable systems within systems of life on earth.
Being anxious because of little or no faith, has no effect on the fact of How God made the world, and our lives in the world; nor on the eternal power of His word, that He gives to all life and breath and food and drink. But what we are made for, is to be God’s children; God’s children who shall inherit God’s kingdom, once this brief probation period of this existence is complete.
God gave us the Glad Tidings of His Son coming in the flesh to redeem us, and to undo the works of the devil, from the very beginning, before Adam and Eve even left the Garden to go out into the world. It has always been our Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom: and so He thought it righteous to provide a way for us to prove our sincerity and integrity to Him, by us believing in Jesus.
This then is what our life consists of, to seek the kingdom of God, to walk in the faith of His righteousness and goodness and mercy; and not to set our hearts upon the things of this world at all, as far as what we think we need or have to worry about. And the sooner we make that a settled matter in our hearts, and can reconcile ourselves to abandon all the anxieties about having to have a portion in this life; the sooner we will enjoy the real peace and contentment that defines the disciple of Jesus.

Early this morning, I caught a rerun of this podcast…I heard it first on Saturday afternoon…in the prelude, Fr. Pomposello spoke to the tragic shortage of Catholic Chaplains that the Army is experiencing. One set of numbers that he spoke to implies that they are down by about 75%. They have 90-ish but need 400+.
Just recently, the south of Chicago Diocese…reported 5 churches and schools…closing or consolidating….lack of financial support. There is disillusionment, for sure…Money, time required, politicization? Biden’s attack on Catholicism?
I like this station as it brings the day’s events into a Catholic focus without being judgemental. I get a sense of peace from listening to various programs.

Am I set on my own way for God? We are never free from this snare until we are brought into the experience of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. Well, I did not post any bios today, 2 noted but one as a Russian spy in the Manhattan project and only one of the 7 challenger disaster and it was not Crista (the teacher who was front & center pre-launch).
I remember this day well, I was at trade school @ lunch or on break, and was playing pinball at the time.
The one photo / bio page they did post photo of had no Bio information listed in it or have Utube bio about him except for ….. um ….. <bite my tongue> ….. kids.

I was sitting on the floor holding my second baby…giving him a bottle…when I heard either on TV or the radio…the launch and then a minute or so later…instructions in the control room to either lock down or shut down the computers…
I still get chills….RIP for the crew…you are not forgotten….
It happened while I was driving to work across the SF-Oakland Bay bridge (I was working at Embarcadero 4 at the time). I had watched the news in the morning before leaving for work, and had heard of the bitter cold weather and launch delays. At the time, it seemed as though the launch was being rushed and forced … sorry Reagan … for political purposes.
Anyway … as I am listening to the launch on the radio … crossing the bridge … I had this horrible uneasy feeling and premonition there would be a crash … it just didn’t sound like the launch should have been green lighted. I felt horrible for having such dark thoughts. For being right about such a horrible thing

Please continue to help me carry this rucksack and weapon by walking beside me and lending your loving hand apon this yoke I proudly wear. Please bless me with a full ammo pouch and full canteen, one for the enemy around me the other for the enemy above, so that I may prevail against one and endure the other. Please bless me with the light of the moon and stars when I need them and clouds and rain when I desire cover from my enemies eyes. Please ensure my aim is true, that my creedo “One Shot, One Kill” is fullfilled, that my enemy does not suffer and their end is swift and complete. Please Lord, protect me from short rounds and friendly fire from my allies, so that I might continue to honor my oath to the Constitution of the United States of America. Although unlike him, I cannot claim either righteousness nor innocence. I have however, like many of us felt like I am sharing the same ash heap, seemingly undeservedly so, despite many, many, many prayers, begging, even anger and sulks. The apparent injustice of it all is the hardest to bear. Then to top it all, the Lord seems to answer Job with the “who are you to question me” position. That really got to me until I think I found the real intention – it is when Job says 42:5 ““I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You;”. The difference is monumental. Job was the most righteous man simply and only by the “worldly” view of being religious, observant, learned, even kind and generous – everything one would expect from a faithful servant. BUT, he never really recognized (saw) God as He actually is. Who can blame him, which of us are really able to point and say “There God is”?? It is very difficult for us to fully grasp the enormity that God, the Creator IS at once IN everything – us, the animals, nature, and the universe itself, while at the same time also above and beyond – eternity itself. Everything has its purpose, and is the will of God. But back to Job – there is a deep lesson perhaps paralleled in Matthew 19:24 “And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” A “rich” person, one who has never really been “tested” despite being learned, wise, even thankful (now and then) will never learn the real deep, deep, relationship, and trust in God, that only “poverty”, humbleness and faith can deliver. From what I see you, and many here,like Job, possess what it takes, and I have no doubt God is immensely proud of you. I’ll end with two tracks by Steve Winwood that may just help lift out spirits somewhat.

I’ve been grappling. Grappling over what within me broke.
This morning, while posting to Colkitto about our old home and the great memories there… I realized that in the past and through my youth… I never really hated anything or anyone.
I always wanted to nourish and nurture. I always wanted to give my absolute best. I always worked really hard and my daughter was my only one, so I strived to not just “get by”… but to use whatever small means we had in the very best way possible for her behalf. I knew that I couldn’t give her everything, but what I could do… I wanted it to be the very best.
Now, it seems everywhere I turn… I hate. The politics, the schools, the soulless people, the absent-minded and duplicitous churches, the unethical businessman, the greedy, the corrupt, the crushers of faith and Spirit.
The more and harder I prayed, I found I couldn’t keep up. It was like a tidal wave of prayers and I have always prayed with purity of Spirit. I never wanted my prayers to sound contrived or insincere. It was like I was trying to plug a break in a dam with my finger.
Every bit of the world’s knowledge…a persecution.
To love my daughter so much and think I harmed her because of childhood vaccines. She was a brilliant little girl and I am wrecked by the let down of her education I quite literally sweat for.
Now, noble professions are no longer honorable.
Words no longer carry their meanings.
Pain, death, and corruption is everywhere.
I pushed with all my might to change to a position professionally where I could be of some good use and get out of an unholy situation that is outside my control. The answer was “no” twice in two years. I viewed that change as something that could save my life and Spirit, so I was hurt by it when it again didn’t come to pass.
I have been interceding for others for a very long time. Yet when our world collapsed, we were totally alone. Where were all our “friends”? It certainly makes one recoil from further extending oneself.
None of this is God’s fault. I know that. I am a “voice calling out from under the altar, when Lord when?”
Now, how effective can my prayers be when I exhibit such despair and faithlessness?
Today, I can’t bear to put our Christmas decorations back into storage because I don’t want to remove one more visual element of God in a world that is eager to pack him away!!
And what of the “friend” who asks me such horror of how I will feel being led into a concentration camp for being a pointer to God? One of our treepers!!! And how does that make me feel as a loving Mom when I think of such things in regard to my God-pointing child!
Or the other who spoke to me in such terms as to think he a tormenter of children! Also have an IT guy who I’m 100% certain is a pedophile and he knows that I know and he uses such wicked language to make my skin crawl!!! This person has been in my house and made comments about me and my daughter and I thought I would tear him to shreds looking in my daughter with such lustful evil eyes!
There is a curse in being able to see and discern such wickedness. And a disbelief that others are so clearly blind it is remarkable they don’t see the forest through the trees!!! (Pharoah’s hardened heart)
Whether I am an empath, a prophet, a clairvoyant… I simply don’t know .. but I don’t invoke witchcraft… not ever. My Spirit is on super high alert.
My sinfulness comes in cussing because Lord have mercy… I just don’t know what to say!! My sinfulness comes in having higher expectations of people and a frustration that they would choose evil over good and purity. I don’t intentionally try to hurt anyone ever, but I’m no longer willing to let others hurt me without absolutely calling them out on it.
The time for the silent meek Christian is over in my opinion. I can’t kumbaya over this, nor can I whistle a happy tune while London is burning. It seems insane to me!
AND YET GOD IS SOVEREIGN AND HE WILL DO AS HE PLEASES WITH WHOMEVER HE CHOOSES.
Can we TRUST HIM fully no matter what?! Can we truly believe His Words that He works ALL things for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His Purpose?!
It is a challenge to others inasmuch as it is a challenge to me personally.

There are two of these trees on West 86th Street in Indianapolis in front of an old dental office. They are majestic and stick out like sore thumbs. Straight out of the Serengeti where they appear to have belonged instead. They are super tall and they are really old. Thick, thick trunks that remind me of the Redwood forests of Northern California. I love those trees.
