After Seeing Students Use Money To Buy Food, The Dog Decided To Get Some Too. He Started By Using Leaves To Collect Food
… over the years as he watched students go to the campus store and pay for their own food –
while they would also give him some of theirs to eat – he decided to take matters into his own paws.
The clever canine snagged a leaf from a tree and with a wagging tail, he brought it to the store’s counter.
It was clear to the employees that Negro wanted to purchase some cookies with his newfound currency. It looks like this dog learned a new trick from his human classmates.3
The store attendant was charmed by his adorable intelligence and decided to accept his payment.
“He comes for cookies every day,” said store attendant Gladys Barreto. “He always pays with a leaf. It is his daily purchase.” Negro evidently doesn’t understand the saying, “Money doesn’t grow on trees,” but thankfully, the store employees make sure to keep him in check.
This looks real similar to a video I’ve seen, only it’s a cat that uses a leaf to buy fish. 🙂

I think their ethics are admirable, and how kind of the people giving out cookies (or fish for felines) but how could a person not respond like that unless they had a heart of stone. These paying animals are setting a good example for those who just steal and grab what they want.
Cats are also good about wanting to bring gifts to their person, or to do what they see as their share of providing for their family food supply with the odd mouse, etc.
Sometimes they bring you a leaf or a flower, or the odd item of clothing from some neighbors yard. One should always be polite and grateful for their gift as they really do mean well. It can be disposed of discretely later when the cat is off somewhere. 🙂
My last beloved cat presented me and another person (his family) with an amazing gift, it was a ‘thankyou and goodbye’ gift. He was ill. I was quite overwhelmed. It had taken planning and forethought and was presented in a certain carefully arranged way. I realized how very intelligent and caring he was. A vet helped him on his way over the Rainbow Bridge shortly afterwards. I do hope animals have an after life.
We took in a cat who had started hanging around, though it took him a couple of years to lose his skittishness and be petted. He was a Scottish fold-ear, so he only lived to be about 12. When we were finally able to take him to the vet we found that he had pellets embedded under his skin, a scar on his back a couple inches long and barely hidden in his fur, and was was blind in one eye. When you fed him, he always rubbed on your legs to say thank you before he started eating. He must have been in a house before. A real gentleman.
Yes, suspicious me, are we going to have squirrels bring acorns to stores to purchase goodies next?

The purpose was demolition by the border to make a safe zone for the citizens who will come back in Israel. The building collapsed on the soldiers. There are a couple also of badly injured. God bless the souls of the heroes and heal the injured and families.
-On a good note the Speaker of the IDF reported that the IDF finished to surround Khan Yunis (South Gaza). Tens of terrorists died and they (the IDF) are now at the center too. Close to some sensitive locations like hospitals which may be important as the Hamas tends to build their command under hospitals and we can’t bomb them.
-As I predicted yesterday (an escalation ) the US and its allies declared an operation against the Hoothies and today they attacked many targets. Note:The Hoothies were threatening to close all the oil supplies at a few locations. What a stupid threat. There aren’t many things so important to the West like oil supplies.
My apology that the report is not long but the three things above had to be here. Also I must make a comment: From a religious standpoint Israel had a lot of hate between the left and the right before the “great punishment” arrived. If you followed me in the past few days there is a lot of internal hate again and demoralization by the media. Another “punishment” occurred. He somehow is able to incorporate wet on wet technique but mixes in lots of dry brush – at the same time – using very quick strokes leaving white and then knocking on droplets of color that only propagate into the wet areas with his venerable palette knife as a knocker. A master of composition to boot.

Here’s my attempt to reunite art and music … 0 degrees of separation. My very best (slightly older) friend and Christian mentor … now dearly departed … was close friends with a superbly talented water color artist – Marilyn Simandle. And Jimm had two of her original water colors hanging on his walls that were simply amazing. I seem to recall he met her while he was at Fuller Seminary … but I cannot be sure.
Jimm was also my fellow Steely Dan enthusiast and we both saw them live at the Shoreline amphitheater in 1993 … the first year they returned to touring since 1974. Yeah … we had the same taste in music and art. And Jimm was also a Nationally recognized collector of two kinds of postwar pottery … I cannot say which ones as that would reveal who he is.

Someone referred to needing protection when using the internet, Brave has settings for maximum prophylaxis, the downside is you are back to … essentially manual mode as all the things that make it easier have been weaponized against you for either profit or nefarious purposes … I believe for the latter in our case for our subject matter here … facts.
Most of the issues stem directly from your personal system and the crap that is loaded on to it elsewhere, I do not believe that Sundance would open that kinda hole in his personal privacy policy to redesign the site for … tho some seem to allude that that is the case.
If you installed a program for free especially on a phone, YOU are the product, they are selling YOU to anyone that will pay them for YOUR data / browsing habits / GPS location.
I highly recommend a VPN for browsing, advertisers do not want to spend money advertising to someone in say … California when they are really in Florida … that’s why some sites just refuse connections to even view their site when VPN is detected. (I almost never get ads with the free streaming sites, just choose a obscure spot with less population .. like say Montana or Wyoming, instead of Chicago.)

Boy, isn’t that true! How many “emergencies” seem to come in, demanding and pulling at us, to get us upset and worried and enter into the drama; anxiously trying to quickly forget the peace of God’s Presence! We know that we don’t walk by feelings, but by faith; but that is a ready tool of the devil to jump at us with, out of the ambush, to throw us into some heated “crisis.” I’m a slow learner in some very important things. And by learner, I mean, hearing and understanding (somewhat) and agreeing, is one thing: which should be instantaneous to a degree. But the “learning” as in remembering to do it, takes some practice and rehabilitation. But we keep going!

It helps me to stay calm and think about Jesus, and how we might have seen His reactions when He was interrupted from His prayer time, or some sudden drama. And as far as busy-ness, that’s another “good one!” I think of how Paul was talking about the differences between married and unmarried, how the single can devote their attention to the things of the Lord; but the married has to care about caring for the spouse, and so, the things of the world: but, he said, I spare you. Its nice to know, that God understands we have to do the things that go with this life. And you’re right; it is important to be able to know when enough is enough, and to just stop. It will still be there later, or tomorrow! 🙂 And its also good exercise to be able to go about our ordinary things with the Lord and His word in our hearts. I have found so much enjoyment and blessings in meditating on the things of the Lord while I’m working, or interacting with others. You can still focus on what you’re doing, AND have the joy and peace of unbroken fellowship while you’re doing it. And I believe that people will see that in us; even if they may never say anything to us directly, the Holy Spirit is using us to witness to them.

1/23/2024 – The trying of your faith works out patience
James 1:2-11 “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith works out patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally, and reproaches not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering: for he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing from the Lord. [He is] a double minded man unstable in all his ways. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: but the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withers the grass, and the flower thereof falls, and the grace of the fashion of it perishes: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.”
Hebrews 12:7-13 “If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not? But if you be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are you bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? Temptations are not for pushing us to the point where we have to sin; they are not for Christians, opportunities to sin. They are the melting heat of the forge, so the Spirit can form us into the divine nature. If we pay close attention to all that is happening at those times; the New Creation inner man hates and wars against all the forces and fury of the temptation to commit sin. And while the enticement is playing on our desire for the pleasures of our lusts, at the same time are we under strong conviction, and burning shame, at even the slightest leanings or tendencies to accommodate the forbidden desires.
1 John 3:9 “Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for His seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”
Until we were Born Again, and had repented and been converted, and knew the kindness and miracle of the Lord’s forgiveness and cleansing; there was no inner battle about yielding to the temptations; at least not as a matter of loyalty and integrity to God. Maybe we were cautious enough not to publicly shame ourselves, or put ourselves in a dangerous situation; but the nature was to walk in the desires of the flesh and of the mind.
But now, we have a powerful miracle that has been wrought in us by God; and we are now not able to sin, because of His Spirit in us, and the New Creation man begotten of God. To put it into its simplest terms, we have been given a brand new, good clean conscience; and it is out of love and loyalty to our Savior, that we cannot do anything to hurt Him or those we love; like when we had no conscience before we were saved.
“Count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith works out patience:” means, that we look beyond the difficulty and the torment, as it being that one thing that will make us the man that God wants us to be. Patience can only come by having our patience tried; and our loyalty can only be proven by holding on to our integrity under the pressures of affliction and contradiction, which are fighting like hell to get us to betray the Lord’s trust and take the sin.
The LORD has chosen us in the furnace of affliction. Temptations are the baptism of fire, with which Jesus thoroughly cleanses us; refining and purifying us, into those holy kings and priests He will have rule His kingdom in the time to come. Temptations chasten us and humble us, and forge us into that divine character and nature, that truly replicates our Father in heaven; and transforms us into the sons and daughters, the delight of His heart, and His legacy to eternity.
Proverbs 22:15 “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.”
Proverbs 23:12-14 “Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to the words of knowledge. Withhold not correction from the child: for if you beat him with the rod, he shall not die. You shall beat him with the rod, and shall deliver his soul from hell.”

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Where in the Bible are humans told that they can, or should pray to angels?
Did Daniel ever pray to Michael? Did he ever call on the angel, Gabriel?
In fact did any human Bible figure ever pray to an unseen angel?
As far as I can tell everyone in the Bible prays to the LORD God for their requests — never to angels.

I agree, we should not address any prayer to any other than God Himself, as ONLY He has the power to answer/grant any such “request”. An Angel or Angles may well be given the “order” to fulfill, however I also understand/trust where Duchess is coming from – perhaps it’s just the order of the wording. Here is a very powerful one where simply putting the opening “In the name of…..” makes it AOK. “In the name of Adonai: May the angel Michael be at your right And the angel Gabriel be at your left And in front of you the angel Uriel And behind you the angel Rafael And above your head the Shechinah (Divine Presence/Holy Spirit). For sure praying TO Angels or saints or even the most righteous of men like Moses or King David etc is a no no. One can certainly INCLUDE them or even attach their greatness/names to “help” your prayer, but the intention and “aiming” must always be to God only. No worries though, I think Duchess probably has a prayer “armory” most of us haven’t even thought about yet.
