Soooo, I called my yard guy.
His guys are also pretty decent carpenters. They had the broken gate fixed in a thrice, did a far better, more solid job than I’d planned to do. Now that the gate is fixed, I’m going to have them rebuild my rickety garage doors. This was the first time in many years that something like this happened. Talk about anxiety . . .

The Italians really know how to design beautiful things. But I must admit that the sound which just resonates in my soul comes from a Fender Rhodes. Just something about the almost “harpsichord” sound of the notes. Yeah, maybe more of an electric piano than an organ … but awfully close.
I’m probably one of the really stupid people who believes Pink Floyd’s Animals is their best album … OK OK … yeah they’re three other MASSIVE ones … but I really like it all the still
Yes I like that too. But remember that electric piano-type kb’s didn’t really get popular until maybe a decade later. In the early/mid 60’s almost all kb accompaniment in Top 40 pop was with an organ – Hammond, Farfisa, Vox, Leslie speakers sometimes, but always big organ sounds with vibrato or Leslie sometimes for effects.
Think of the famous hits from – Procol Harem, Booker T & the MGs, Motown (in general), Chicago, Blood Sweat & Tears, The Doors, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, The Animals, Vanilla Fudge, Led Zeppelin, Spencer Davis, Deep Purple, among others…. All 1960’s…

No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of Me, says the LORD.”
How is faith “the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for?” How is faith “the EVIDENCE of things not seen?” How do we have the testimony that we please God without faith? We cannot! Our testimony is the witness we have of the Spirit, by believing that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. By faith comes understanding of the things of God; and by faith, having been warned of things not yet seen, we move with fear to prepare for what He has shown to us in His word. By faith we do all that God commands us, to the saving of our house; and by that same obedience of faith, we condemn the world. (Hebrews 11:1-6)
We are saved by the kindness and love of God our Savior: according to His mercy He saves us, by the washing of *regeneration (the New Birth from above, the New Creation), and *renewing (renovating) of the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:5) We are workers together with God in sanctifying ourselves and purifying ourselves. Because we believe that He is, and that He is a *rewarder of (one who pays wages) [to] them that diligently seek Him; it behooves us, it is necessary, inevitable, a duty, and what is proper; to draw near to Him.
This, as they say, is “where the rubber meets the road,” where we “put our money where our mouth is;” being in the world, but not of the world, we do not take the weapons of the world to do spiritual battle. This is where our faith is manifested by our works. And it is faith working with works, that God meets us with grace to meet everything we encounter. The matters are spiritual; and so the battleground is spiritual; therefore the weapons of our warfare cannot be carnal.
Its not the men of this world that we fight against; but the spirit that works in the men of this world, and those forces behind the devil’s cause. The enmity has been put there by divine sentence; and is necessary for bringing about both the salvation of God’s elect, and the condemnation of the world of the ungodly.
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”
The proclamation of ultimate triumph of the redeemed of the LORD, written by Isaiah the prophet; is a victory that we must for now walk in by faith, as calling those things which are not, as though they are. We have in part, and know in part; but still are waiting in faith for the perfect and complete which we are here promised. The world says, that “seeing is believing;” but the truth is, that we must believe first; which God counts to us for righteousness; and THEN WE WILL SEE. Those who refused to believe, even when they had seen everything, never flowed naturally into becoming “Believers.” But all who believe in Jesus are given eyes to see, ears to hear, and understanding hearts, to KNOW the mysteries of the kingdom of God.
There are many who try every conceivable thing, to hide what they really are, by stage-playing being a Christian. But Jesus said, that you cannot put a piece of a new cloth onto an old fabric; for it will not agree with the old, and will by its very nature, be too much for the old to bear; and it will rip and tear worse than it was before. But the New Life of the Born Again Believer must be put into a New Creation begotten of God through the word and the Spirit.
The life we are called to, the high and holy calling to be Jesus’ ambassadors and teachers sent to bring His Gospel to the world; no one can do out of his own mind and strength. The grace of being saved is a miracle; and so too, all that we are called and expected to do for Jesus till He returns, is also a miracle, a work of God’s power.
One part of the Great Commission, which is not enough spoken about; has to do with authority and judgment having been given to the saints in Jesus’ Name; for the work of making sure people come to the Lord and walk with Him, according to the prescribed way that Jesus Himself commanded. It is the duty of those who have been called to be with Jesus; whom He Himself sends out; to assess and judge, whose sins will be remitted and whose retained; and to discern the true from the false brethren; and to hear matters between each other, and judge one another.
In addition, we are given gifts and administrations of the Spirit, for doing the work that Jesus did when He was here. Casting out demons, healing the sick, cleansing the lepers and raising the dead, giving sight to the blind, and opening the deaf ears, restoring wholeness to the maimed and halt: all these are still a vital part of the ministry, just as they were from the beginning. But the reason why they are not seen in action today, is because of unbelief; and because we are not yet sanctified enough, and trustworthy of such power.
There is still the need; but the faith and holiness are practically not to be found. The churches in the west love their idols, and their idleness; and have a tremendous problem with being told what to do. They have long ago abandoned bearing with the conviction of the Spirit, to NOT be of the world, and to NOT love the things of the world, and their lives in this world; so they have invented another gospel instead, which absolutely denies and fights against, any personal accountability, once someone has “accepted Jesus.”
Having a form of religion, while denying its power in them in real life; is what the Lord called, The Broad Way that leads to destruction, with MANY walking thereon; BECAUSE the way to life is narrow and restrictive, and chafes against their taking a portion in this life. Even so, the Lord is still looking and calling and sending to warn everyone, to prepare for the coming day.
The righteous who have trusted in their righteousness, and are sinning; if they are warned, they will fear and repent, and turn and do right; and God will forgive and restore them to fellowship. But the wicked who hear, and still go their way, will die in their sins; their blood will be on their own heads: they were warned.
Meanwhile, regardless of what the crowds think and do; we have a calling and work to do for Jesus and His kingdom. Jesus has made a vow to finish all that He has started, for us to be saved and come home safe and sound to God. Let us also be of one heart and one soul with Him, and with each other; to take care of His affairs here till He comes, as He has entrusted to us.
Psalm 149:4-9 “For the LORD takes pleasure in His people: He will beautify the meek with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute upon them the judgment written: this honor have all His saints. Historically you are correct. Also, culturally, my memory / impression is that the radical feminists of the day – amplified by much of the media – were working overtime spreading their message of independence from men while the “free love”, “do what feels good” messages were all over the pop culture and especially popular with the pop / rock musicians of the day. Not to mention the expanded liberal use of drugsacross the same demographics.
Those messages were literally targeted at young people to destroy the previous morals and standards of decency that had long been respected (if not always followed) by our society. IMHO that devastated the personal lives of many people but the professional pop music industry seemed to experience a higher-than normal incidence of failed relationships. Of course the long road trips /concert tours did not help relationships where one partner was left at home.

In the days before female nudes were painted, rich men could commission paintings and sculptures of the female form, and sometimes, for people with different taste there were also male nude figures included in suggestive /erotic ways. To be able to claim they were ‘true works of art’ and not pornographic paintings to be hidden away in the purchaser’s bedroom, they would be presented as figures from Greek Mythology, or from stories from Ancient Roman History.
Isn’t it interesting that a Cardinal of the Church commissioned this very erotic work commonly called ‘The Rape’ but covered in respectability by the name The Abduction of Proserpina.

David Russel’s playing in this concert is nothing less than spectacular. It’s worth noting that he recorded this performance during Spain’s response to the Covid epidemic of a couple of years ago. This was a time when, worldwide, governments were demanding public obedience to rules that we now know
were both socially and scientifically wrong. This was done in the name of “mitigation” — public health dogma designed to encourage obedience with target populations. . .
What shines through this especially trying time, however, is the eternal majesty and beauty of this music. Although he didn’t say much about it, I think it was clear what his actual intent was. David understood that the timeless integrity of this wonderful music was an appropriate cultural antidote for the shameless falsehoods being forced on us. I like to think David knew exactly what he was doing. I also think David Russel obviously won that unannounced contest. . . 🙂

Israel Update :
I slowed down my updates because the war has slowed down and there is no point in reporting on every dead soldier and terrorist. I am more interested reporting moves that can make a difference in the future. I will keep you updated on important changes in the conditions in the war. I will focus now on what is the most important update in my opinion:
-Reports from officials in the US that they “started working with some Israelis about ‘the day after Netanyahu’”. When Blinken visited he offered to Netanyahu: “Recognize a Palestinian State and get a normalization with Saudi Arabia”. Netanyahu declined.
Three US Officials are saying that the Biden’s Administration is looking past the Netanyahu area. They say “Netanyahu will not be there forever”. They say that they are trying to “lay the foundations for a Saudi Israeli deal with other Israeli leaders of politics and society”.
On his visit to Israel Blinken met separately also the other Cabinet Members and the Leader of Israel’s opposition Yair Lapid. Blinken started his trip to the area in Arab nations in order to bring a united Arab offer.
Note: I am sure that this report is right. The Biden Administration is undermining Israeli government trying to force a Palestinian State under an idea of forming an alliance of moderate Arab countries and Israel. If you followed me you know that I said that this is the plan all along. They are trying to remove Bibi. This has happened way back to the Obama days and probably before. When the US tries to shove something upon a nation that contradicts the common view of the citizens you get a massive disaster in the long run.
For example: Obama tried to push “The Arab Spring” (IE. Democracy) upon Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Syria, etc…
Arabs are not fans of democracy so in Egypt the Muslim Brotherhood won the elections which resulted in a civil war situation and a military revolution. In Syria it became one of the worse disasters in resent history with the Muslim wave of immigrants all over the western world. Tunisia and Libya became chaos. It brought about the age of the rise of ISIS.
Now Israelis are opposing a Palestinian State and Palestinians oppose recognizing Israel’s right to exist officially and in the streets Hamas and terror organizations have the most support. So Biden’s Administration is very dangerous. The Trump’s Administration tried to solve the conflict too. But I didn’t see the use of blackmail and undermining to shove it forcefully. At least Trump brought some peace treaties and no massive war.
The future is uncertain at this point because the left in Israel too is cunning and controls the media and courts.
I am sure that most Israelis do not want a Palestinian State in the current situation.
But because Bibi’s government is somewhat responsible to the disaster, the opposition is now leading all the poles. And I really mean they carry responsibility for letting Hamas and Hezbollah to become so powerful as they are and whoever erred at the lower levels, it’s still happened under the current government.
The reason for the poles is that many who supported Bibi now support Gantz.
Gantz is temporarily in the government but is really an opposition party. Gantz has a “unifying“ line of talk and tends to sound like “the adult in the mess” and avoids saying anything about his present positions about the American line of “The Palestinian Authority”. He doesn’t talk like a liberal and therefore he attracts some of Bibi’s supporters. But in the past he was close to the Palestinian Authority and signaled recently that “Bibi is creating unnecessary conflict with Biden”. The other main opposition party is headed by Yair Lapid. This man is a real “New World Order” representative who meets known Globalits in Europe regularly and will align with the Biden’s Administration to a large degree. Blinken met him on his last trip. In elections he will join Gantz and the far left. Let’s say that Gantz would be compared to Romney and Lapid to Biden. One is a RINO and one is a Left but not the Progressives that are the “far left” like Sanders.
So, the question is “will there be elections?”
Not if the war produces desired results. Bibi still appears to hold his line of “we are going all the way”. If his partners who are more right than him perceive that he is not better than the alternative and is too much with Biden and the left they will break the govenment.
This leads to the following question: “How is the war really going?”
This is a difficult question as you have conflicting reports and interpetations.
The fact that I am even asking this question indicates that it’s not optimum. There is something wrong. In my view the wring thing is the walk between the lines to satisfy Biden and keep his support to what really should be done.
In a “perfect situation” Israel would have stopped all fuels and food and water and put the terrorists in a position that they must give the hostages and leave or surrender.
But this would require a route out for the population and some solution to feed them without it arriving to Hamas. It would require a US support to withstand the international reactions.
In a “perfect situation” Israel would declare that if they don’t release the hostages they will never get the land back and Israel will start populating Gaza with Jews. They don’t care much about human lives but land is at their heart. In a “perfect situation” the same level of bombardments like in the North would happen in the South. That would mean again tens of thousands death toll in South Gaza and a risk to the hostages. But it would put an end to this war much faster.
So Bibi is trying to keep the support Internationally while winning the war anyways. So we will see.
Israel is now having large force in Kahan Yunis (South). There are covert operations going on inside tunnels which didn’t happen before. Looking for the tunnels, the hostages and the leadership of Hamas. There are now Special Units like Navy Seals actually inside tunnels.
While other forces secure them over the ground and moving slowly forward over the ground. If all goes well we should have good news in some weeks.
It was also reported that Bibi had a senior in his party approaching Lapid to join the coalition instead of more right wing parts of his coalition. This signals that he is trying to be able to work with the US and not be pressured by the more right wing part of Israel who are for a very aggressive line. Lapid would not do it. His all base of voters hate Bibi to their core. He can’t do it.
So I don’t have the answers and no one does. There are many opinions. But tactically Israel eliminates more and more tunnels and key weapon production factories under and above ground and assassinates here and there more mid level to upper mid level terrorists and slowly increases the death toll of Hamas and slowly expands territories in unhandled areas and also continues finding and clearing and destroying tunnels in areas that are already in our hands. I will keep you updated my friend.
-One more important news is that Hezbollah declined the US proposal to withdraw in Lebanon. This if conclusive will lead to another full war.

I wish to apologise for my anti Israel far left federal government in Australia.
They have refused to acknowledge that Oct 7 was a terrorist act, until they see a post war Palestinian state. At least that’s what they have said is the reason. Obviously it’s a load of rubbish. But, that they can’t say beheaded babies and kids burnt alive is terrorism, speaks volumes. They do NOT represent me, or the majority of Aussies.
Our foreign minister also went to Israel and refused to go to the areas where the terrorism occurred. And then she has handed another $21m to Hamas (I think it was $21m). Of course, it was not directly to Hamas, but possibly UNRWA or some other representative of Hamas.
The foreign minister, Penny Wong, is gay. I suggest she should ‘accidentally’ end up in Gaza. And while there, maybe she can visit a rooftop bar.
This government has also changed their terminology to be more anti Israel and pro Pali. And same with changes in UN voting.
We have another year or so before we can boot them out of office. The leader of the opposition is much much better.

Let me explain. What we all know now in Israel is something that is called “The Conception”. I am not sure it’s a perfect translation but I mean “The Concept” which means the “fixed concept” of before the war. Now almost everyone is to blame but the blame ends at the top.
There was “a concept”. A concept that we can live side by side by a growing genocidal organization and we can count on “deterrence” and “contain it”.
The Mossad is not to blame because most of the Intelligence related to the Gaza area and the West Bank are the territory of two organizations : Military Intelligence and Shabak (the main Spy organization in Gaza and the West Bank). Mossad is mainly for overseas in hostile nations mainly. Iran, Syria, Lebanon and hundreds of other places is Mossad. They maybe do something in Gaza but they are not responsible there. We had a whole defense establishment system that had the concept of “We are strong and we deter them so we can hit them hard once every few years and provide them jobs and water and electricity and money so they will chill”. Also the conception had another aspect that is more military : “We are the strongest around so we can minimize the military and reduce a few more months from active service and build high tech fences and make a small but technologically advanced military.” Those conceptions all collapsed. The Chiefs of Staff in the last decade or two reduced the military and counted on technology and now everyone saw how the expensive technological fences collapsed and how we need more munitions and more reserves and more active service and more tanks and more ground forces. They thought a small military would work. It was arrogant and all the defence establishment is to blame and the Prime Minister went along with it. So the opposition is bringing up against Bibi the fact that he allowed suitcases with billions of dollars to make it from Qatar to Hamas with the idea that “We don’t want them to be in financial distress that will bring war”. I don’t know the depth of it but there is sure some truth to it. Bibi also stood against a Palestinian State for decades and he had the idea that if there is Hamas in Gaza and Palestinian Authority in the West Bank then the lack of unity amongst the Palestinians will stop the formation of a Palestinian State.
And it was true. It was hard to press Israel about a Palestinian State with Hamas in power. So it worked. But at the same time we gave them to grow and become what they are today. Military Intelligence leadership will probably face a serious consequences when the investigation is done. Some low level observers on the fence did send some warnings and the big boss dismissed it because of the conception and arrogance. In fact there was a Defense Minister under Bibi by the name Liberman who left Bibi because he wanted to destroy Hamas and Bibi opposed. This guy warred of the impending potential disaster and it is chilling because he said exactly what happened later already more than a decade ago. Israel knew that they are planing on conquering towns in the south and kidnap and kill and even Bibi mentions it many years ago. So now the people on the left blame Bibi for the “conception” and the right also blaming him for it and therefore his poles are not good now. So when he is giving them humanitarian aide and fuel and trying to contain Hezbollah in the North, and Al Jazzera are permitted to operate in Israel (Bibi stopped an attempt to kick them out because they are from Qatar and Qatar was a negotiating force to release hostages) despite it being an enemy organization and we see funerals in the West Bank with hundreds of Palestians carrying weapons and screaming. We say “didn’t we learn?”
The who containment of the incitement and education to kill Jews was “contained” and tolerated and now Bibi is putting it as a goal, to stop the incitement in the education both in the West Bank and Gaza. But we had to get to this point to realize it?
Bibi is not a bad person and he also did a lot of good but he is not really on the right he is center. You can see it now that his people tried to approach Yair Lapid of the opposition and make him join and by this Bibi can kick out the more right wing part of his government who demand more aggressive solutions. Lapid is a Globalist which I would compare to Obama or Biden. It reminds me of Trump sending out Steve Bannon and putting in a Globalist guy who turned enemy later on. Trump made some bad choices with trying to be “pragmatic” and hiring people who later turned on him because they were RINOs. I am sure that Trump learned it now. Bibi added to his Small War Cabinet two people , Gantz and Eizenkot who are more liberals and are now pushing to stop the war for the sake of releasing hostages as the number one priority. they are both with a history of supporting a Two State Solution he wouldn’t accept in the Cabiint Mr. Liberman who was the one who is more aggressive and is now blaming Bibi for not acting in the north and for allowing Hamas fuel in Gaza.
Bibi was also the one who did the deal of the 1100 terorsts for one IDF soldier a while ago. Many of those who were released murdered Israelis later and one of them in the big boss of Hamas who planned the whole 10/7 disaster. Bibi was the one who released this man.
So Bibi can be mentioned positively in the sense that he did prevent a Palestinian State against a lot of pressure within and outside. He did transform Israel’s economy from a semi Socialist to a technological superpower. He did not attack the nukes in Iran so this is a negative.
He has his pluses and minuses but he is not going to survive in power unless the war gets the expected end results and he navigates to it and can claim he made the right decisions. So far the war is too slow and we are expecting more aggressiveness but there is a moderating to satisfy Biden. The border of Gaza Egypt is still not taken and it is full of tunnels that Hamas uses to enter supplies and weapons and could escape the war zone with hostages. They are talking about it as a goal but are delaying the action because of Egyptian opposition.
The Egyptians should be told that they failed to secure this border and many of the Weapons which were used in 10/7 came from there so the better shut up and let Israel do the job.
This should explained you why his pole numbers are bad. In fact there are others in his party who could fit the job better.
Again I in my nature like to see the good in people and I like to give him a chance to show that he does what he promise now. But his time is running out. And we want to see things change drastically. For example Bibi opposed the death penalty to terrorist for decades against some in his coalition. He prevented it. Now the Liberal court could also block it but not for sure but Bibi blocked it.
We want to see the expulsion of families of terrorists. It could deter them and make terrorism drop dramatically. Again the Supreme Court may bloc it but Bibi never promised it and this is what his base would like to see.
So now he is standing against Biden and it’s good but we need more. So I am sorry if I broke the PR that Bibi has in the US. But I am not here to represent the government. I am here to tell you what is going on and why his pole numbers are crushing.
In his defense would say that he “got bad advise”. But it’s not a complete dismissal of responsibility.

Hi Jim, Yes, it’s profoundly sad to hear of anyone committing suicide. It’s horrific.
Mr. MacLellan suffered lifelong chronic depression. He also endured severe physical pain from polio, heart problems, and injuries from car accident.
MacLellan took his life shortly after being released from hospitalization for depression.
So, when I used the phrase, easier said than done, it was meant in a lighter sense, than Mr. MacLellan’s situation.
He experienced a deep mental health issue which hounded him all his life.
And we don’t understand another’s heart and mind when they’re going thru such dreadful emotions.
I do know from God’s Word that: God loves Gene MacLellan, understood him completely, and had mercy and compassion on him.
God is Good and no one can ever disprove that Truth.

My point: those who are not afflicted with mental health issues can “reason” with their daily thoughts and align their emotions with doing God’s Will – if they desire.

There are people who have opinions about everything and insist on telling you all they know about a subject without stopping to listen to anyone else’s perspective. It is that type of person who will angrily share every thought without considering what they are saying or who they hurt along the way.
The words of a foolish person can foment conflict and even incite others to anger, which could result in violence.
A wise person understands that what he knows about something may not necessarily be pertinent at a given time. Some things are better left unsaid or said later, at a time when tempers and emotions are not running high. “A soft answer turns away wrath” (Proverbs 15:1). Peter wrote about this divine nature in his second letter, possibly while he himself was imprisoned in Rome. He encourages the new believers to realize that the grace and peace given to them through Christ can transform their lives. The grace of God will empower them to live righteously in the face of opposition.
Peter had drawn the sword in the Garden of Gethsemane, but he was the one who spoke to the crowd on the day of Pentecost with wisdom and a transformed spirit. He had learned self-control. His faith had been tested, and he always spoke of the blood-bought salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Good news! If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, the Holy Spirit lives in you and gives you His power to respond to circumstances in a godly way.
Pray for the nation’s governing officials to wisely speak words that elicit calm, peace, and unity of spirit.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

This is acknowledged as the best bird book/field guide, though Peterson has one that is cheaper and smaller.
I grew up with the Golden Guide and still love it. Personally I would use and keep the Sibley Guide at home, and have the Golden/Peterson guide as your travel bird book.
I opened my original so many times that I wore off the binding glue and had to buy another. This was the book I still use and had when I first started birding when I was a very young.
I have a Field Guide … given to me by a dearly departed good friend who was past President of our local Audubon Society. He and I spent many a cold morning on Christmas Bird Counts
I too did many Christmas counts. You can look at different years and see the rise and fall (sadly) of many species in your area or other areas.

As a person who believes and understands (barely) that nothing in creation exists outside of God, and without the “permission” of God, I am not at all concerned with any so called man made technology. Like any “invention” of man, from the first stone “knife” to atomic energy, ALL is subject to either the force of good or evil. IE man can use the “knife” to create or to kill. This is the fundamental and unique ability given ONLY to man- choice. Neither the Angles nor the beasts have been given this blessing and curse. From the verse Deuteronomy 30:19-20 ” I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live.”. IF we in all our en devours choose life (the word of God), then any and all of our “discoveries” can and will uplift mankind to higher and higher understandings (of God). Of course if we “choose”/”use” them as a curse/evil, well – we die. Until of course, we get it right and choose correctly.

It happened again in the late 1980’s/ early ’90s when the music industry kicked the decades-long classic Motown music genre aside and replaced it within a very short period with anger and rage-driven rap for the black urban audiences. Lyrics started frequently using the “N-” word and B*tch as well as all the curse words that had forever been kept off the airwaves…. Movies also became much more explicit and vulgar through the last two decades of the 20th century.
It’s like TPTB planned to foment increasing friction and violence through black Americans’ popular music…as well as through movies…
