Start with this video, which is of Scott Kirby, the CEO of United Airlines, who emphasizes that DIE will be used to choose UA pilots.
Kirby says that at least 50% of new pilot program classes will be women or “people of color”. Which colors he did not say. He does boast that UA now has 19% of women and these mysterious “people of color”. Which leads us to calculate that 81% are now men or people of no color. Math, if you don’t follow this, and as Barbie said, is hard.
Now I have not seem similarly flavored boasts by the other major carriers, except Delta, only because I haven’t bothered searching, but doubtless they too are obsessed with “people of color”. Perhaps these executives were all deprived of finger paints as children.

Well, unlike most everything else Fed agencies do, the NTSB does ACTUAL, EXCELLENT, INTENSIVE investigations. If it’s pilot or ATC error, they always call it.
Until of course the NTSB is also filled with AA hires from institutions where they were admitted because of AA policies.
I’ve watched MANY hour-long shows about their brilliant investigations into MANY airline incidents in the past including the recent past. I would swear on a bible that the NTSC is, BY FAR, the institution I trust the most in the fedgov.
To overcome any unjustified cynicism about THEM, consider that MOST POLS fly commercial and, therefore, have a personal interest in safe aircraft and if the UNBIASED conclusions of the NTSC ever show clear DIE effects, the pols will want changes, too, although they will very likely be doing them in “stealth mode.” Passenger associated lawsuits will also do that.

Normally I would agree with you as I have read many formal NTSB investigative reports. That said, the NTSB recently came out with a recommendation to include kill switches and speed limiters on cars. So, as with many other “science” based government entities, they have to be watched closely.
Anti lock brakes reduced accidents until drivers modified their driving to the limits of anti lock brakes!

This came out immediately after the first vaxed pilots started having problems. So yes, people that own private planes requiring a pilot hire unvaxxed pilots.

There are harmful DIE buildings and Bridges, and road. DIE environmental policies that are destroying lives, wildlife, and environment.
They are not publicly known because they are studied in DIE institutions with DIE research measured with DIE measuring tools. And their DIE accomplishments are being applauded in their DIE award ceremonies where they give each other DIE participation teamwork trophies.
All while competence is disappearing and effectiveness is crumbling around us, and our DIE brainwashed children neglect their real responsibilities while they go off to play DIE videogames and go to DIE parties with other DIE people.
The story goes back further than you realize. In 1995 United stock was purchased by an ESOP at fair-market-value of $325 per share by the pilots and mehcanics unions. Which meant that investment bankers, old stockholder, and insider union boys made millions in ‘fees’. The actual mechanics and pilots got nothing but paycuts and all of their pension money invested in this highly touted investment banker scheme. The day after the ESOP, all of the senior managers including Line Check Airmen, Fleet Managers, and everyone at the training center was fired — replaced by union insiders who had political axes to grind. Of course nothing fails at once but slowly they got rid of competence and merit and replaced it with political cronies. Meanwhile they ran the company literally to the ground. The stock value dropped down to less than $1.00 per share. All of the pension funds were GONE. Still the employees voted to hang on to the stock so they would own the company – just huire new management. Instead in a massive insider deal State Street (Blackrock crony) sold all the stock for less than $1.00 per share to their friends who literally got the company for nothing and the employees were screwed. THEN the union said slowdown and everyone said nasty pilots ! New investment firms took it bankrupt and wiped out the contractual requirement to pay any pension. But the unions stayed in control. As the Democratic PArty – which receives 90% of ALPA funds drifted more and more left, the requirements of who United had to hire just became more radical.
While there is all the fluff on the color, shape and size of the pilots, no one is noticing that anyone who reported regulatory breaches or falsified logbooks or safety problems has been outed by the new managers. Nor that the academic credentials for flight managers has been steadily dropping along with the quantity and quality of the training — for years.
Look closely and you will see that United had 4 hull losses in 2023 — that’s a totally wrecked airplane written off beyond repair: (1) 777 that picked up flaps too early departing Maui, came within 700′ of the ocean and pulled negative g forces recovering; (2) hard landing by unqualified pilot who had numerous training difficulties which totaled a 767-300 in IAH; (3) hard landing of A320 that damaged the gear and (4) dinged a wingtip landing at EWR. Because no passengers killed these are not ‘accidents’ per NTSB.
The training center is just ignoring objective standards — making up subjective reasons to get rid of whistleblowers and managers quietly erasing and rewriting grades when instructors fail ‘special’ students. (FAA report and investigation in 2023).
By the way, word on the street is that Delta has their own problems: 75% of their new hire ‘diverse’ class could not pass the checkride ! Of course, they didn’t dump all objective standards in their training center years ago, so the truth was more obvious.
Don’t let the gender/color smokescreen fool you. There are plenty of really good female and black pilots out there — but ALPA makes sure they do not get hired. The ones who are scared, inexperienced, needing some help and grateful for a gift are the ones who are ‘given’ an opportunity in exchange for political support.
The problem is that flying is — hard. And lots of people can’t do it, no matter how much you spend or how hard they try. And that will never change.
I can’t imagine what would have happened to me had I failed any check rides.
This question has just reminded me to call my attorney and get my affairs in order before I fly next month.

What a terrible way to look at what could only be described as personal tragedies for those who would be passengers on such a flight. Celebrating, making games about, imagined death is a bit sick in itself.

My understanding is yes. These cars are heavier than a combustion engine so they have to have special tires. However since you can’t drive them very far you must not have to replace them often.

You have 75% of the American population of military-age males, 18-to-24-year-olds, who are too fat, too drugged, too tattooed, or too mentally ill to even qualify to join the military. But when you have a president that can hardly walk across the stage, that’s a problem. And everyone around him is an amplification of beta-male nonsense. It is like they’re trying to transgender American society completely.
There is that old saying: “Hard men make for good times, good times make for soft men, soft men make for bad times.” We’re going through that cycle again, and our society’s got to wake up or it’s going to have a very, very rude awakening coming. Any big state-on-state conflict the United States gets involved in will be very sudden, very severe, and you’re going to have to fight with what you’ve got right then.

I wouldn’t be thrilled with Stefanik and her lousy CPAC rating either. I believe Trump thinks he has a chance to win NY which is a huge mistake.
Typically you would pick a popular Governor, someone who has made big executive decisions from a state that you desperately need like Texas or Florida. I wish Trump luck on this critical choice especially with his advancing age. He needs to knock this one out of the park so I would choose a Governor who is independent and leans MAGA.

Leans MAGA is not good enough. The VP must be hard core MAGA, and as far as I know no Governor meets this test. Stefanik’s CPAC score is a disqualifier. Vivek’s qualification for being VP is that he is hard core MAGA. If you deny that, you are not thinking clearly.
That said, Kari Lake is hard core MAGA, an excellent speaker, and quick on her feet in her responses. She would be good.
There is only one alternative to a hard core MAGA VP, and that is someone who could allow Trump to focus on economic, cultural, border and international issues, while the VP is selected for the singular purpose of destroying the deep state, curtailing the administrative state, proving the 2022 election fraud, and punishing all those responsible for the fraud and that includes the media.

She chose (Executive decision) not to hire them, and instead tobuild her own campaign staff, using those without previous experience.
She ran an extremely well organised, disciplined campaign, handily beating a primary opponent with a 10:1 $pending advantage, and winningthe general with such a tremendous landslide that she forced the cheaters to steal the election so obviously the whole world could see it.
She then had in place a legal team that was able to quickly gather enough evidence and prepare the arguments to get past the “standing” roadblock and has now established a roadmap for how such challenges should be pursued.
She has also, relying on her broadcast news experience, developeda media strategy ALL MAGA candidatesshould adopt, as it frustrates and negates MSM attempts to influence elections.
Your idea and my idea of executive decisions and experience then are much different. To say Lake has as much experience as Trump did in 2016 is just laughable.

The only qualification for VP is the ability to be President. Anything else is nonsense.
The ability to be president requires many characteristics, qualities, experience and skills that very few possess.

In other words yes, the EV produces a real world energy consumption number roughly equivalent to a hybrid, and better than an efficient modern gas-powered vehicle — but this must be balanced by the extremely high cost of a battery replacement if it needs one, the cost of installing a charger at your home (if you don’t already have it) and the higher up-front cost of the vehicle itself.
However, for regulatory and “credit” purposes, which are then traded for actual money, it is claimed to have 667% the efficiency it actually does. This is buried nearly 37,000 pages into the Federal Register and, of course, the industry is howling now that its out in the public, is unsupportable (its basically a license to steal) and the carmakers don’t like that they got busted and legally are not — and never were — entitled to this in any way.

By all appearances, Schwab was after just such liberating effects for the substantive and lively discussions he envisioned.
These days, a reference to the novel is as appropriate as ever, but hardly in the glowing terms of the 1981 Time article. If Mann’s novel offers a snapshot of Europe as it careens toward a disastrous war, what Davos now represents is a similarly allegorical portrait of a moribund society.
Every bit as cloistered as Mann’s Berghof Sanatorium and exhibiting more than a touch of fin-de-siecle (end of century) excess – not to mention an insufferable messianic flair – the contemporary Davos gathering is where an out-of-touch global elite doubles down on the exact same set of behaviors and policies that have given rise among the masses to the pejorative term Davos Man.

If recent years have featured something of a counterweight in the form of an emphasis on “rebuilding trust,” it is only because the discontent of the masses has, however faintly, penetrated the glittering cocktail bars of Davos.
As Vanity Fair pointed out in a trenchant article last year, Schwab “has developed the Forum from an earnest meeting of policy wonks into a glittering assembly of the world’s richest people.”
The article continues, noting that “the core activities of the Forum – the sober speeches and panel discussions – have long been eclipsed by the extracurricular events that dominate Davos outside its official auspices: cocktail parties and banquets hosted by global banks and technology companies.”
Participants at the event “boast about having attended zero panels and never setting foot inside the main assembly hall – a cynical mark of sophistication – while celebrating their invites to notorious soirees full of privileged debauchery.”

Those “pipe bombs” used an ordinary 24-hour kitchen timer. But, they were likely in place for longer than that. It is laughingly obvious that they were crude theatrical props. And, gosh darn it, they “just can’t seem to identify” the paid actor who put them there …
Likely a paid FBI informant.
If the pipe bomb was fake, and the Secret Service SUV driver was talking with the backpack guy who informed them, could it be the Secret Service was complicit in conducting this scam?
If any Secret Service agent would go along with such a scam, it seems that in general, the Secret Service cannot be trusted. If so, would Trump be more secure if he dismissed his Secret Service protection and hired a professional security service that he could trust?

All the focus seems to be on identifying the individual who planted pipe bombs, trying to prove intelligence was involved. While I applaud these efforts, I am becoming impatient.
The bigger picture is the purpose of the fake bombs. The bombs were plan B. Plan A was agitate the peaceful protesting crowd of J6ers, with the intent of facilitating a break in and creating an emergency to stop the electoral vote counting. If the capitol police, antifa and fbi were unsuccessful in agitating the crowd, plan B would be initiated, the bombs would be found and the emergency would be created to facilitate shutting down the electoral vote counting. Obviously, there was a conspiracy to shut down the electoral college voting. The democrats could not allow the evidence of election fraud to be debated and presented.

Yesterday SCOTUS heard oral arguments on overturning the statutory construction principles first set out in the Chevron case giving federal agencies deference on their read of the statute they are administering as long as there is some “ambiguity” they can identify in the statute where they get to fill in “the gaps”, because they are “the experts” and judges are not.
It was always a stupid, stupid decision, but in the last 30 years the agencies have pushed it for all its worth to enact policies the bureaucrats want but Congress would never have passed into law.
The particular case at issue involved an agency reading of a fisheries statute that allowed monitoring of small fishing operations, where the agency decided that it could charge the fishing business for the salary of the federal monitor, meaning that in many cases the day’s fishing trip would operate at a loss.
In other words, federal eco terrorists war on small businesses on steroids.
I did not listen to the oral arguments, but I did listen to some extremely informed commentary.

Outside the DC Circuit, many courts were already treating Chevron as dead.
Everyone expects SCOTUS to overrule Chevron as a bad way for the courts to proceed.
Agency heads were listening to the oral arguments and are already plotting how to get around a higher level.of scrutiny and the tighter reigns on agency lawmaking (because that is what it amounts to, lawmaking).

There is a sense, even in the swamp, that Chevron metastasized into a monster and needed to be reigned in.
My own gloss on things:
One of the issues about Chevron is that there is a concern that among the 13 Circuit Courts (13 the number of chaos btw), one agency will face many inconsistent appellate rulings.
That is actually, imho, a good thing, especially if the most restrictive court wins the battle.
However, looking at the federal court structure overall, there is the reality that few observe: Over time, Congress has mandated that particular agency decisions must be appealed to only one Circuit, the DC Circuit. SEC decisions, tax court decisions- anything truly impacting the Leviathan is first heard by administrative law judges (a constitutional abomination) before ever reaching an Article III court, and when they do reach that Article III court, the court is located in the heart of the Beast, protecting the Beast.

Now bear in mind that the DC Circuit Court bench has been functioning as the feeder to SCOTUS.

So, you have the Administrative State with its own courts, located within the District of Columbia, with its decision making being overseen judicially by a single Appellate bench, drawn from the Swamp, located in the District of Columbia.

The DC Circuit Court of Appeals should be eliminated, and 5 more Circuit Courts created, bring the total to 17, and Agency decisions should be allowed to be challenged in the regulated person or entity’s home turf.
Chevron deference should be thrown away on Constitutional grounds. Only the legislature can write and pass statutes.
Hopefully the SC gets it right this time. Time to kill the Administrative state for good.

Back in the early 80s, I had an American history prof who was VERY much a US patriot, that being most likely due to the fact that he had, as a young Hungarian soldier, used the disorder during the 1956 Hungarian revolution to escape Hungary to the West. Even way back then he felt that the only way the US could ever be brought back to its Constitutional Republic roots would be by a “benevolent dictator” who would tear down bloated government institutions cast in stone. He, of course, realized the absolute power corrupts absolutely danger of that, so, effectively, he believed that the situation was hopeless even then.
I agree with Dan Bongino that things aren’t yet bad enough here to wake most people up to the highly negative things occurring. Not even close IMO. That will require taking away the debt and credit fueled games and circuses. I believe that, just as it did in Argentina, it will take a serious economic downturn here to wake people up and, even then, mass formation psychosis may lead to nothing better that what resulted in 1930s Germany.
