A bunch of the boys were whooping it up in the Malamute saloon;
The kid that handles the music-box was hitting a jag-time tune;
Back of the bar, in a solo game, sat Dangerous Dan McGrew,
And watching his luck was his light-o’-love, the lady that’s known as Lou.

When out of the night, which was fifty below, and into the din and the glare,
There stumbled a miner fresh from the creeks, dog-dirty, and loaded for bear.
He looked like a man with a foot in the grave and scarcely the strength of a louse,
Yet he tilted a poke of dust on the bar, and he called for drinks for the house.
There was none could place the stranger’s face, though we searched ourselves for a clue;
But we drank his health, and the last to drink was Dangerous Dan McGrew.

There’s men that somehow just grip your eyes, and hold them hard like a spell;
And such was he, and he looked to me like a man who had lived in hell;
With a face most hair, and the dreary stare of a dog whose day is done,
As he watered the green stuff in his glass, and the drops fell one by one.
Then I got to figgering who he was, and wondering what he’d do,
And I turned my head — and there watching him was the lady that’s known as Lou.

His eyes went rubbering round the room, and he seemed in a kind of daze,
Till at last that old piano fell in the way of his wandering gaze.
The rag-time kid was having a drink; there was no one else on the stool,
So the stranger stumbles across the room, and flops down there like a fool.
In a buckskin shirt that was glazed with dirt he sat, and I saw him sway;
Then he clutched the keys with his talon hands — my God! but that man could play.

Were you ever out in the Great Alone, when the moon was awful clear,
And the icy mountains hemmed you in with a silence you most could hear;
With only the howl of a timber wolf, and you camped there in the cold,
A half-dead thing in a stark, dead world, clean mad for the muck called gold;
While high overhead, green, yellow and red, the North Lights swept in bars? —
Then you’ve a hunch what the music meant. . . hunger and night and the stars.

And hunger not of the belly kind, that’s banished with bacon and beans,
But the gnawing hunger of lonely men for a home and all that it means;
For a fireside far from the cares that are, four walls and a roof above;
But oh! so cramful of cosy joy, and crowned with a woman’s love —
A woman dearer than all the world, and true as Heaven is true —
(God! how ghastly she looks through her rouge, — the lady that’s known as Lou.)

Then on a sudden the music changed, so soft that you scarce could hear;
But you felt that your life had been looted clean of all that it once held dear;
That someone had stolen the woman you loved; that her love was a devil’s lie;
That your guts were gone, and the best for you was to crawl away and die.
‘Twas the crowning cry of a heart’s despair, and it thrilled you through and through —
“I guess I’ll make it a spread misere”, said Dangerous Dan McGrew.

The music almost died away … then it burst like a pent-up flood;
And it seemed to say, “Repay, repay,” and my eyes were blind with blood.
The thought came back of an ancient wrong, and it stung like a frozen lash,
And the lust awoke to kill, to kill … then the music stopped with a crash,
And the stranger turned, and his eyes they burned in a most peculiar way;
In a buckskin shirt that was glazed with dirt he sat, and I saw him sway;
Then his lips went in in a kind of grin, and he spoke, and his voice was calm,
And “Boys,” says he, “you don’t know me, and none of you care a damn;
But I want to state, and my words are straight, and I’ll bet my poke they’re true,
That one of you is a hound of hell. . .and that one is Dan McGrew.”

Then I ducked my head, and the lights went out, and two guns blazed in the dark,
And a woman screamed, and the lights went up, and two men lay stiff and stark.
Pitched on his head, and pumped full of lead, was Dangerous Dan McGrew,
While the man from the creeks lay clutched to the breast of the lady that’s known as Lou.

These are the simple facts of the case, and I guess I ought to know.
They say that the stranger was crazed with “hooch,” and I’m not denying it’s so.
I’m not so wise as the lawyer guys, but strictly between us two —
The woman that kissed him and — pinched his poke — was the lady that’s known as Lou.

It is time for our customary Treehouse Church Sunday benediction. The question sometimes is asked whether we are a “real” church?

The simple answer can be drawn from our collective belief. Simply put, a church exists because people gather together in faith and belief in our Lord Savior, Jesus Christ. Church can happen in a family restaurant, at a lunch table. It can happen in a long commute to work, even during a simple conversation among friends.

Believe in Him and you are saved. Period. End of argument. I speak this way coming from being unchurched, a decision I made many years ago. In saying this, I am not criticizing other people who feel the need for more religious structure.

It is just that from a deeply personal perspective . . . I choose not to participate in religion in that way . . . This in no way means that I am anti-church. I most certainly am not. Not in any way. It’s just that “church” for me is a very personal feeling. I am at church when I speak to Our Lord. I am blessed when He speaks to me in return. The feeling is so profound it is hard for someone like me to explain . . . But, it is nonetheless entirely real. The Lord and I get along just fine this way. This tells me that things are OK between me and our Lord.

So . . . how does all this relate to our Treehouse church? I believe church exists when we collectively meet together in worship. It doesn’t matter how we get here. If we come, if we believe, then . . . we’re in. Welcome one and all, Treeper friends.

May we all get to go home . . .

“Red Voice Media posted a video that we had not seen before from the January 6 protest at the US Capitol.
In the video, Jacob Chansley, later dubbed the “Q Shaman,” reads a tweet from President Trump to the crowd outside the US Capitol and tells them to go home. Chansley added, “We are peaceful… We are not Antifa.”

Q Shaman Jacob Chansley: “We’re going to throw up the tweet. Donald Trump has asked everybody to go home. Okay? – This is America. You guys want to stay, that’s fine. Donald Trump has asked everybody to go home.”

Fellow Protester: “Wait, read this.”

Jacob Chansley: “Hold on… Donald Trump, quote, I am asking for everyone in the US Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence. Remember, we are the party of law and Order. Respect our law enforcement. … There’s a video.”

This video, among others was omitted from Chansley’s trial. The Arizona man was later sentenced to 41 months in prison for walking inside the US Capitol, asking police if he was allowed to be there, was then escorted through the building by police, led a prayer in the US Senate chamber, and then read Trump’s tweet to be peaceful before leaving the premises.

The DC Courts (demonic evil) sentenced Chansley to 41 months in federal prison for this.”

Israel Update: Day 85 of the War. 
The Map above shows the areas of battles and progress of the IDF.  I will show it in a few days again to show progress.  The yellow zones represent areas that are not conquered but only a few of them are Hamas zones that need to be fought for.  Right now there are a few zones in the North and center which are still in progress with fierce battles.  
And the South is the main challenge with Khan Yunis which is where most of the attention is at. The rumors are that the hostages and Sinwar (Hamas’s leader) are there and it’s a large city with tall buildings which makes it challenging.  South of Khan Yunis there is Rafiah which has Brigades of Hamas and will have to be dealt with.  Rafiach is full of refugees and it will be necessary to make them move somewhere, possibly back to the North, to be able to fight there.  The progress is slow due to the urban nature of the battles and the attempts to be carful for the lives of the soldiers.  But I do hear of expanding the battle zones every few days. Every time the IDF is entering a zone they start with evacuating the civilians where  they want to go and massive bombardments.  The locations of the bombardments  give an idea where the IDF is heading.  The location of the deaths of our soldiers (they publish it with each death report) gives me an idea of which  areas are still a problem.  I can tell that the North is not over yet and we have fierce battles there and fallen soldiers still and I am looking forward to the time that it will be over with exceptions of only some rare incidents.  I will let you know when I know. 

-2 IDF soldiers killed.  One 22 years old a Special Forces fighter killed in South Gaza.  One is a reservist 30 years old from an Engineering force of Golani was killed in Central Gaza.  
Five also badly wounded.  Additionally there was a car ramming terror attack in the West Bank and one soldier was badly wounded and a few were moderately and lightly wounded.  The driver was shot dead.  Overall the IDF suffered the death of 504 soldiers since 10/7. 
170 of them killed in the ground invasion following 10/7.  The total injured is at 2,204,  
352 were in bad condition.   May God bless the souls of the dead and heal the wounded and hearts of the families and friends.  

-The IDF force that has just entered the neighborhood of Drage Tufhach which is by the border of Israel and was used also to attack Israel in 10/7 is reporting “there was not even a single house that was clear of Hamas related items.”   This neighborhood is known to be a  place of a strong support of Hamas and a recruit area for a Hamas forces.  
There was a fierce battle over this neighborhood. IDF commander is saying:” In the past few days we are experiencing face to face battles and the use of explosives. The enemy is arranged in the built area and that is our challenge.  In the past few days we encountered tens of terrorists and lots of weapons and boobytrapped houses.  The way it goes is that we accept an area with enemy, we analyze the chosen targets, and where the enemy concentration is high we produce a pattern of battle.  In this area RPGs (anti tank missiles) were fired from a school and the IDF took over the school and arrested people to find the terrorists.  

-A senior Hamas person was assassinated from the air.  Not top 10 seniors but high enough.  Was related to the Chief Explosives engineer that Israel killed some years ago.  

• A protest demonstration with thousands to “release the Hostages now”, in Tel Aviv.    Note: Those protests were hijacked by the left and are now used to “hummer” on the government.  This reduces the support of the people.  Most people believe that we should keep going with war to defeat Hamas.  Everyone wants to bring back the hostages but not at all costs.  

-Mossad Chief said that Hamas is willing to negotiate another deal for hostage release.  

-Large operation in the West Bank to arrest terror members.  This is now a daily activity. 

-Hezbollah now announces their 134 dead member.  

-Two US bases were attacked in Syria.  One attack seems to be massive and I pray that the results will not be devastating.  We will know more later. 

-85% of Gazans escaped their homes.  Living in tents, according to the UN.  
Palestinians say their death toll is at over 21,000. 
There are back and forth accusations between the UN and Israel where the UN blames Israel that not enough trucks are making it while Israel blames the UN that trucks are given to Hamas.  Note: There is actual footage of trucks taken by Hamas.  

-The divide inside Israel is creeping back in after the war united us.  
I  see increasing media articles that are attacking Bibi and his government and the last 
“free the hostages” demonstration also crossed the lines of common sense into an anti government protest.  This is important from a “Divine point of view”.  I mean that if there is a Divine lesson to be learned from the 10/7 disaster is that we crossed lines in internal hate between left to right and it came close to a Civil war.  Some say that God is trying to teach us unity. The left previously started to attack religious groups (verbally) and even interrupted prayers in public places in Yom Kipur holly day.  The left which was protesting against Judicial reform are also in its fringes is very hostile to religion and are afraid of the rapid growth of the religious community in Israel.  After the 10/7 attack you saw unity at a very nice level.   In  the military you see unity but the journalists and liberals have too strong of a hate to resist their impulse to blame everything on Bibi and to try to knock down the government.  This saddens many of us in the right side of politics.  The hate of Bibi is at some insane levels.  I read many of the comments on news articles and some are simply obsessed and hate shuts down the mind and blinds people.  I only hope that it is not in such high numbers as it used to be.  After all we are in a crisis.  It’s all in the field of the mind, something to do with Liberals and their obsessions, hate and craving for power.  I know you’re familiar with it. You see it much in the US too.  Israel was actually punished by God according to scriptures and the destruction of the temple and the expulsion of Israel is traced back to internal hate and conflict.  Some people don’t learn.  We have very high % of right wing religious people fighting and dying alongside left wing liberals who are also fighting and dying.  I pray God to bring about some more harmony and peace between the people of Israel, left and right, and all ethnic groups.  I pray that there will be enough unity and we will win. Amen.  

-A couple of days ago I mentioned a couple of attacks by Damascus Syria on Iranian related targets and the airport.  The US denied responsibility so it must be Israel.  A Saudi Paper received information that there were actually 11 Iranian senior Revolutionary Guard people who got killed.  The Saudis said that a senior Iranian Official arrived to Syria and so the high command of the Iranians in Syria attended the airport and all got killed.  Now, this is not a confirmed report so take it as a “maybe”.  But if true then we expect a revenge from Iran.  Could be more attacks on Israel or terror attacks on Israelis or Jews anywhere in the world.  

-A Danish ship with a Singapore flag was hit by a rocket from Yemen.  Not seriously damaged.  The ship alerted the US Navy which also intercepted two ballistic missiles.  
No injuries.  Since the 19 Nov 23 it is the 23rd Hoothies’ attack on ships.  Following this there is a report of a talk between US Defense Minister and the British counterpart.  They issued a statement which condemns the attacks as “damage to international trade and supplies”. 
The US Defense Secretary Austin said that “ it is a significant international problem which requires mutual determined action”.   Looks like the Houthis are delusional and suicidal.  
I mean that they better not mess with the US Navy.  It’s very stupid of them.  

-Three terror units killed in South Lebanon.  This means they were involved in attacking Israel or preparing to do so.  Also Speaker of the IDF said that 80% of Hezbollah’s rockets yesterday fell inside Lebanon.  They damage Lebanon too.  

-Ground forces of the IDF attacked and invaded the Hamas’s command centers in the center of Khan Yunis (South Gaza) and specifically their Intelligence Headquarters.  

-Netanyahu is asked about “the day after”. He said “first let there be a day after. First we need to get rid of Hamas”.  He is asked if he will resign after the war? He said “The only thing I will get rid of is Hamas”.  (In Hebrew the word “resign” and a word which means “get rid of” are almost identical words).  

-If you followed me, I explained the importance of the Philadelphi Corridor that is the buffer zone between Gaza and Egypt.  An area with likely tunnels.  I was wondering why Israel is not taking serious action about it.  I know the Egyptians are very much against us taking action there (I don’t know why). Netanyahu was asked about it and said:”The Philadelphi Corridor must be in our hands, any other arrangement won’t allow demilitarization.”

‎12/‎31/‎2023 – As a Christian, What is the meaning of your life? 

Ecclesiastes 6:11-12 “Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better? For who knows what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spends as a shadow? For who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?”

Ecclesiastes 9:11-12 “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all. For man also knows not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.”

The title of this Book tells us what is its purpose. The Preacher, or, the Summoner to Assembly; is an exhaustive study of the Spirit of God, into the innermost workings of man’s heart, while living in this world. It is to call him to look up from his toil and sorrow, from his vanity and all the causes of sin, and vexation to his spirit; to consider wisely, What is the meaning of your life? Who are you, and what are you doing? And what is the good of any of this?

Many have taken rather to slandering the author, as if “he” was actually the one doing the searching, and having the carnal mind, and trying to make sense out of the world he is born into without a clue. But it is by the moving of the Spirit of God into the inner workings of our minds, which directs us to look at all these things, and for what they are good. The same Spirit’s wisdom, which “cries without; she utters her voice in the streets: she cries in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she utters her words, saying, How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at My reproof: behold, I will pour out My Spirit unto you, I will make known My words unto you.” (Proverbs 1:20-23) It is God’s Spirit putting the questions and desires into men’s hearts, and the words in their mouths, how to search their heart and seek God, while as yet they do not know Him, and are unsaved.

We hear it everywhere among the churches, how that we need to find out God’s plan for our life. This is right, and the very beginnings of hunger for God. But sadly and shamefully, most are never taught what that even means, to “know God’s plan for their life;” not having the Holy Spirit, and so also, not having their understanding opened, that they might understand Scripture. For it is really, REALLY, no mystery what God’s plan for man is, once we start to learn the word of God. Not just memorizing verses or stories, as if we had to pass a quiz in Sunday School; but REALLY knowing and understanding the word, in the context it was all written!

So, not having a firm understanding of the word; many slip quite easily and comfortably into the idea, that things of the flesh, things that come of earthly desires and interests; of so-called “talents;” that somehow THOSE are the “plan that God has for their life.” And meanwhile, they go on in complete darkness, not even knowing that they are walking in darkness; pursuing worldly dreams and self-centered plans; oblivious to the high calling in Christ to be saints, and His witnesses to the lost world.

We have to ask: when God has given us all the Books of the Bible, and has given us the full revelation of Jesus Christ having come in the flesh; and His holy apostles wrote through the Spirit, HOW WE ARE TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD, AND TO WHAT END; why are so many thinking that their vocation or “calling” should be anything of the world? If Jesus’ kingdom is not of this world; then neither is ours! Surely we don’t think we are better than our Master, that we should escape the things He had to endure! Or maybe the deceiver has found an interested ear in many, which has enticed them with the thought, that they aren’t saints, and they aren’t called to that kind of strict and austere life. So they let their heart be enticed with an easier and completely non-offensive path; and still witness for Jesus.

As a Christian, What is the meaning of your life? It is first, to love the LORD with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind, and with all our might; and our neighbor as our self. If we have truly been Born Again, Born From Above, and are now New Creations in Christ; then that assumes certain things have happened, MIRACULOUS THINGS! A change of heart and repentance, and the Lord having answered our prayers for mercy and forgiveness and cleansing, by really and truly and powerfully setting us free from our sins. That means, that the eyes have seen, and the ears have heard, and the heart has begun to understand, and there is a conversion and healing. And as newborn babes, there is a constant hunger for the word of God, as the milk for our soul. And as we grow, and continue on to know the Lord; he begins feeding us with meat, and “grown-up” food.

As we follow on to know the Lord, we learn what kind of man or woman he made us to be, in His image and likeness; and He gives us an understanding of why the world is how it is, and what is our part in it, by studying the examples of the prophets and saints in the Bible, and the Lord Jesus Himself. Our affections are no longer wandering through the earth, looking for how our heart may discover itself; or looking for an image out of our own darkened spirits, into which we might find an identity. And the Holy Spirit also gives us understanding of the times in God’s view; and teaches us what we ought to do to overcome the world, just as Jesus overcame the world.

All these things leave no place for seeking a calling in the world, or after our own vain imagination. We are on a mission, which Jesus has entrusted to us, and will, upon His return, call us to give an account of: not of whether we followed our dream to play baseball, or be a musician, or pursue some kind of art form or science; but that we diligently took care of our Lord’s property, and His business while He was away.

SECURITY FROM YESTERDAY: “God requireth that which is past.” At the end of the year we turn with eagerness to all that God has for the future, and yet anxiety is apt to arise from remembering the yesterdays. Our present enjoyment of God’s grace is apt to be checked by the memory of yesterday’s sins and blunders. But God is the God of our yesterdays, and He allows the memory of them in order to turn the past into a ministry of spiritual culture for the future. God reminds us of the past lest we get into a shallow security in the present.
 
SECURITY FOR TOMORROW: “For the Lord will go before you.” This is a gracious revelation, that God will garrison where we have failed to. He will watch lest things trip us up again into like failure, as they assuredly would do if He were not our reward. God’s hand reaches back to the past and makes a clearinghouse for conscience.
 
SECURITY FOR TODAY: “For ye shall not go out with haste.” As we go forth into the coming year, let it not be in the haste of impetuous, un-remembering delight, nor with the flight of impulsive thoughtlessness, but with the patient power of knowing that the God of Israel will go before us. Our yesterdays present irreparable things to us; it is true that we have lost opportunities which will never return, but God can transform this destructive anxiety into a constructive thoughtfulness for the future. Let the past sleep, but let it sleep on the bosom of Christ.
 
Leave the Irreparable Past in His hands, and step out into the Irresistible Future with Him.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

I have wanted to ask this crowd this question for quite a while now. As a believer, this is all in His hands. Prophecy. We are approaching end times and there is nothing we can do about it but pray and protect those close to us (and celebrate). Deeds and Faith. I am clear of conscience because I believe. I am sad for my son who is young and has not started a family yet. As per God’s hand, this is His will. I am preparing him for the future without being too obvious. Come Jesus come. I need strength from you all to carry on the battle. Pvt Fodder here. From my cold, dead hands.

Virtually all of you that live in the lower 48 should be prepared for colder than average weather to come starting sometime the 2nd week of January.

It will start out west and move into the SE U.S. and then engulf the whole country.

Hello friends,
I recently noticed a large number of almost daily propaganda videos of how Hamas “blows up Israeli tanks and armored vehicles.”
They produce an images to encourage their own fighters and to give the world a false idea that they are winning.
So their supporters and mainly the Muslim world are gloating.
So here is the lie. Those RPGs (anti tank missiles that they show) in about 95% of the cases are actually exploding outside the tanks but it looks in
the videos as if it’s in the vehicles. I posted something on this before.
Israel studied the Ukraine war and realized that regular tanks can’t win in an urban environment. But Israeli tanks and carriers are protected by the
Trophy Active Protection system. Additionally the tanks have a layer that also explodes the projectiles outside the tanks in case that the Trophy missed. The Trophy is fully automatic. It has four radars in each corner of the vehicle and it shoots little objects (it’s not fully exposed how exactly it works) and the objects blow up the projectile just before it penetrates the tank or carrier.
So all those images that I watch are not showing the few seconds that follow the explosions which would have shown in most cases that the tank is still operational in fact the system identifies the source of the attack and the tank strikes back. Here is a video with one of the developers who is
maintaining confidentiality but gives a good idea of what is going on. Following with a demonstration video. Those tanks are actually prove themselves as crucial to winning the war.
