Israel Update:
-A UN vote for ceasefire and humanitarian aide improvements was delayed a few times because the US was going to Veto it. Now they are about to delete the “ceasefire” and include the humanitarian aide. The US is likely to approve it. They call for a UN body to monitor the aide without Israeli inspections, the US also added a clause calling to release the hostages.
-Canada is making it easier for Gazans to come to Canada if they have Canadian family members. It will still need an Israeli approval. The Canadian Immigration Minister is saying it will enable hundreds to come. Note: I have a feeling it’s thousands if not tens of thousands, Canada have many Muslims and many are Palestinians.
-More than 20 nations joined the International Force to secure the shipping in the Red Sea. At least 8 countries refuse to publish their involvement. Note: I wonder what motivates so many to join, even some who find it necessary to hide their identity. I wonder if they are getting paid?
-Over 1500 people joined a letter to the President of Harvard to act against antisemitism. Those are people who are on staff there and graduates, people like ex-Israeli ambassador Michael Oren, Ex Senator Lieberman, etc… They are asking for action to be taken.
-John Kirby the Speaker said that “Israel promised to get to a lower intensity phase of war, there is no deadline and they will define what is lower intensity according to the situations”.
-Ivanka Trump with her husband Kushner visited Israel. I will post a video of their tour in the Kibutz. Their tour guide was Amir Ohana who is the Chairman of the Israeli Parliament who is a very very good one. I could see it impacted them. Ivanka looked touched.
-As I said there is an escalation of the war in the North of Israel. Hezbollah is using longer and stronger munitions and Israel is pounding them badly. I find out that Hezbollah targeted with a suicide drone a strategic asset of Israel, the oil drilling installation at the sea. It was intercepted. Today Israel for the first time reached 32 Km (20 Miles) into Lebanon. In Lebanon they say that Israel is attacking any vehicle which is getting close to the border to form a clear zone by the borders.
-Lincoln Memorial was vandalized with blood colors and graphity by Pro Palestine people.
The Police is looking into it and watching security videos.
-Yesterday I posted that the IDF revealed the main Command and Control tunnel network of Hamas in the Senior (Senior Hamas Leaders) District of Gaza City with tunnels and rooms and elevators from the homes of the leaders into the tunnels. A vast network from there they commanded the 10/7 attack. Today the IDF published a huge explosion that demolished it all. I posted the video. I may post it again if you missed it.

-Hamas published a psychological war video of two IDF hostages and a civilian confess. Those three had their bodies recovered last Tuesday Hamas claimed they died in a bombing. We have evidence they were murdered in captivity.
-Air Force attacks on Shajaiha (North Gaza), Khan Yunis and Rafiach (South Gaza).
-This is not news but I wanted to share. There are increasing number of news articles and some interviews with ex-Generals who claim that “Israel’s ambition to annihilate Hamas is not realistic”. Some are serious people so it looks like this is a point in dispute. One of them actually said he told it to Bibi a couple of weeks ago. I personally think that it can be done with persistent determination for some 6 months. Israel in the past proved that it can fight terrorism successfully in the West Bank with a massive operation that ended the suicide attacks and bombs in the streets (they called it “Intifada”). But Israel will have to get smarter and find ways to make the stay in the tunnels too difficult and not drag into an endless war which we can’t afford and too painful. So far the military is determined and that is the key. The spirit and intention. Bibi also sounds determined.
I pray for Israel success and the life of all your soldiers may God bless you and keep you safe and you have many people here in America that love Israel and wish nothing the best for the country. Amen.

Shaldag Unit, they called them in that article “tunnel rats”. LOL. They became experts in tunnels now but they are actually the Special Forces unit of the Air Force. So they say Shaldag was there and also Shayetet 13 , those are Navy Seals. Israel has only three Tier 1 Special Forces :Shayetet 13, Shaldag and Sayeret Matkal (Like Delta Force). If Shaldag and Shayetet were there I wouldn’t be surprised to see 500 dead terrorists. To become one of them you need to be almost a superhuman and I know it first hand. I tried the Sayeret Matkal myself , that is the most elite unit of them all. They are likely there too but what they do is almost never published. If there will be a hostage rescue situation it will probably Sayeret Matkal who will do it.

Special attention needs to be placed on the subject of defending oneself against evil; for even when we may not wish to reject the Lord’s commandment to not resist the evil; and truly desire to be able to have a Christ-like reaction, to yield, to give, and to support; to sincerely be in agreement and good will, and abide under subjection; the commandment is straight forward and simple enough, but how to perform it, as a matter of nature and character, often feels impossible.
The Lord Jesus explains this in the context of, “eye for eye, and tooth for tooth;” not for abolishing the law, but for us to put it in perspective of faith and patience. In other words, the Lord is telling us, that this is not a provision for vengeance or grudges, but for self examination and looking to God’s measuring and weighing and judging.
We know well the saying, which was borne out of the worst and most unimaginable horror of wickedness, hatred and perversion, Never Again! and there isn’t a person with a heart on earth who doesn’t wish for, and want to proclaim the same. But the reality is, that as long as we are in this world, dwelling alongside those whose god is the devil; there will always be that war being waged against the saints, until the Ancient of days comes.
The idea of eventually coming to agreement and compromise with the great enemy of Christ and His people, is utterly without basis in reality. The Scripture says, that when a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. But God “making” our enemies to back off and be still, does not make what God has separated and put at enmity between each other, undone or changed; it just means that God does not give Satan permission to come near us.
Now we know, that our warfare is not against flesh and blood; but the men who trouble us are flesh and blood. Setting aside the matter of our pride, isn’t it our sense of right and wrong, that unfair treatment, and deliberate evil done, BECAUSE we are good; that we react to defend ourselves? But according to what the Lord is teaching us here, such reactions are in their nature, breaking with faith, and forsaking waiting upon God for righteousness and defense; and taking up the sword to protect and enforce the right.
There couldn’t be a more justifiable reaction of this kind, than how the disciples wanted to defend Jesus, when they came to arrest Him. And this was precisely what the Lord was referring to, when He was giving the Sermon on the Mount, and saying, Not to reward evil for evil, but offer the other cheek, as in good will and support for the enemy. Jesus did this in sincerity, while abiding under subjection. Even when the high priest and the Sanhedrin were seeking false witnesses against Him, and then tried to question Him about His doctrine and His disciples; Jesus actually advised them in support of their inquiry, Why do you ask Me? Ask those who heard Me what I said to them. Behold, they know what I said.
I think what strikes me about this whole scene, is how Jesus was settled firm in His standing with God; and was therefore able to bear up under the atrocities done against His person, because He knew, that when they had done their worst, after that they had power to do nothing more; and His Father knew and saw the whole thing, and would not fail to give Him righteousness for all he was enduring in obedience. Jesus saw His sufferings for what they really were; and for Him, being perfect like His Father in heaven is perfect is all His purpose, and His portion for ever. And just as He teaches us, He Himself also did: and it was in fact the very evil done to Him, that most brought out who and what He really was in God.
Luke 22:35-37 “. . . When I sent you without satchel and scrip and shoes, was anything failing to you? and they said, Nothing. And He said to them, But now he that has a satchel, take also and a scrip; and he that has none, sell his coat, and buy a sword. What did the Lord mean by this, other than that we should walk prudently, with knowledge, and intelligence, and right understanding about the kind of world we now live in? With a view toward the times, and of the things we are under a holy charge from Christ to do till He returns; we more than anything else need to put on the whole armor of God, and fill our belly with His Book, that we are never without understanding of what we should do. We will meet the enemy in one form or another, as we go about doing and teaching the things of the kingdom; and men will certainly be looking out for their own interest, when confronted with choosing between a good conscience and their safety and lives: and we have to be prepared to endure in faith, and defend our little field of lentils.
Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth, God will mete out in due time. In the meantime, our position and our keeping of this commandment, is not for grudges and self defense, but for measuring and presiding over our own spirits, walking in truth, walking in the Spirit, in faith and love.

When God draws me, the issue of my will comes in at once – will I react on the revelation which God gives – will I come to Him? Discussion on spiritual matters is an impertinence. Never discuss with anyone when God speaks. Belief is not an intellectual act; belief is a moral act whereby I deliberately commit myself. Will I dump myself down absolutely on God and transact on what He says? If I will, I shall find I am based on Reality that is as sure as God’s throne.
In preaching the gospel, always push an issue of will. Belief must be the WILL to believe. There must be a surrender of the will, not a surrender to persuasive power, a deliberate launching forth on God and on what He says until I am no longer confident in what I have done, I am confident only in God. The hindrance is that I will not trust God, but only my mental understanding. As far as feelings go, I must stake all blindly. I must WILL to believe, and this can never be done without a violent effort on my part to disassociate myself from my old ways of looking at things, and by putting myself right over on to Him.
Every man is made to reach out beyond his grasp. It is God who draws me, and my relationship to Him in the first place is a personal one, not an intellectual one. I am introduced into the relationship by the miracle of God and my own will to believe, then I begin to get an intelligent appreciation and understanding of the wonder of the transaction.

It deals with the childhood of a boy in a village in southern Germany, Bavaria, after World War II, as recalled by the narrator. The war, however, does not figure in the story, as the narrator was (apparently) born afterward.
The narrator’s boyhood is punctuated by the appearance of Mr. Sommer (Summer), whose main activity is to walk constantly throughout the area, seemingly 24 hours a day!

My youngest with her 3+1 (triplets plus their slightly older sister) are voracious readers. Their mother made sure to start them when pictures only enticed them into worlds they have since come to know well. This is a story, that may really be true and the drawings are so beautiful…I gave it to my nephew when his brother killed himself. I just wanted him to read it to my sister because she needed a story and for her son to read it to her, it’s really beautiful. Dragons were around with humans! Evolution is such a lie.

You are quite welcome! Die Geschichte von Herrn Sommer was part of the German IV curriculum, when I was teaching German I-IV.
The students, high-school seniors, usually enjoyed reading it in German, as the language was not too difficult, although the grammar and vocabulary at times was rather elevated to show a high irony between them and the ridiculous situation being described, the humor sometimes laugh out loud funny, and an aura of mystery always hanging over the entire story.
If the voracious readers are in late grade school, they would probably understand most of the story, but certainly their mother should enjoy it! 🙂
And another goes on my list…thank you. They are 8×3 and 11. But they are well advanced in their reading and understanding. I most certainly will pass this on to my daughter. She’ll know when they are ready. Suggestions are always welcome.
She turned their reading sanctuary into a Narnia wardrobe, affixing a full length mirror to the outside of the door to the room which is their haven. I’ll mention she was Teacher of the Year a couple of years ago… you can see why 😊

I have one of these guys (Kinglet) looking like he is going to spend the winter with me at my suet cake (bark butter from Wildbirds Unlimited) feeder like one did a few winters ago. I’m not really sure if its a Ruby or Golden crowned (its a female/immature) but I’ve always had a fondness for these hardy very small (smaller than a Chickadee) birds that nest in the mountains. He was using my waterfall the other day as I was standing still about 10 feet away.
What is it about little birds such as this tiny chap that appeals so much? I’m partial to the smaller ones and can’t help but think of the tiny robins in Britain which are such a part of Christmases there. He a beauty, Colkitto😍…oh and please see above😉💕

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Here they are – traveling to unknown places and circumstances, fighting back fears, confusion, helplessness. All the while, remembering their encounters with the angel, and the message from God.
They believed God, and His Words carried them through!
And, His promises guided and comforted them for years, even until they died.
The Bible says that what happened in the past was recorded for us, too, that we might learn from it.
In our lifetime, we are blessed to have the completed Bible which tells us the end of the story!
For those who know Christ as Savior and Lord, He will safely lead us to our eternal home in heaven with God.
May God, by the Holy Spirit, help us remember His Words as we trust Him in our days ahead.
For those who haven’t believed in Jesus as their Savior – what a fitting time to accept God’s most precious gift: Jesus Christ, His Holy Son.

Dear sis 💕…I have always had such a soft spot for these little animals who really do have such sweet dispositions.
Our Father did indeed bless this little donkey and bestowed upon him the High honour of carrying His Mother to the place of His birth. Just as He did once more choose this sweet lowly animal to carry Christ towards His propitiating death for all of us at the end of His life. There are so many comforting metaphors within the Season of Expectation. No detail of this most joyous promise kept was unplanned.
I pray for you and your family and all our Treehouse brothers and sisters that the purest joy in receiving the greatest Gift there could ever be so overwhelms that it takes your breath away 🙏🏻

I’ve been reading a VERY long blog on Genesis 6 and came across this section and thought it would be a good thing to highlight from
Yvonne Nachtigal’s blog and maybe open discussion on the Miraculous Conception Of Jesus Christ The Saviour of the world…
“Therefore, even though He was nurtured in Mary’s womb for nine months and born without her ever knowing a man, it was also necessary for all this to have been preceded by supernatural intervention, to prevent His receiving any actual genetic inheritance through her. The body growing in Mary’s womb must have been specially created in full perfection, and placed there by the Holy Spirit, in order for it to be free of inherent sin damage. Christ would still be “made of the seed of David according to the flesh” (Romans 1:3), because His body was nurtured and born of Mary, who was herself of the seed of David. He would still be the Son of Man, sharing all universal human experience from conception to death, except sin. He is truly “the seed of the woman” (Genesis 3:15), His body formed neither of the seed of the man nor the egg of the woman, but grown from a unique Seed planted in the woman’s body by God Himself.
That is, God directly formed a body for the second Adam just as He had for the first Adam (Genesis 2:7). This was nothing less than a miracle of creation, capable of accomplishment only by the Creator Himself. “That holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:35).

This is a heretical teaching. Christ was both divine and human, as has always been held true by the Christian faith. Supported throughout Scripture. Held sacred throughout the years of Christianity, taught by Christ himself, his Apostles and Disciples, the Church Fathers.

See above, but also, if you aren’t familiar with Original Sin, I’d recommend that as a starting point. Then read why Catholics believe in the Immaculate Conception.
I promise I am not trying to convert you, I am trying to show you what this person you quoted above is going to great lengths to deny. Original sin is a basic teaching held by most Christians. I don’t think you’ll have a problem with that. Not so teachings about Mary, we Catholics have quite different dogma on the Mother of God, along with the Orthodox.
It will however give you a starting place to form your questions and seek answers.
Your passion and curiosity are good! Keep reading and studying and seeking. The Holy Spirit will lead you, but you must be faithful in seeking authority behind what you find.
Think of it this way. I read a Bible passage, and so do you. You say it means X and I say it means Y, and our analysis is very different. Which of us is correct? Very possibly neither of us. If we can all say the Bible means whatever we individually think it means, then it really is robbed of all meaning.
Seek proven, true Biblical commentary from trustworthy sources. If you belong to a specific denomination, ask here for recommendations for sources you can read.
Mine are of course, entirely Catholic, but for that reason, they are traced back to teachings from the Apostles, the earliest bishops and teachers. Much in Protestant theology is as well, but I have no knowledge here.

And it isn’t just Catholic teaching Heather, it’s accepted doctrine that Christ was the word made flesh through the power of the Holy Spirit and the yes of the Virgin Mary. The entire New Testament proclaims the Incarnation of our Lord, Word made flesh.
Mary was more than a vessel, she was mother, in every meaning of that word, to Jesus. Throughout church history, the various heresies that questioned Jesus nature, bothe divine, Son of God, and human, son of Mary, have been truly battled against and most put down. The early Christians were quick to defend the true faith.
For example, read St. Paul. He cautions repeatedly that the churches he founded hold to the true teachings he passed on to them, passed on from the Apostles.
Heather, I respect you and your sincere seeking. But you must question what you read, what the source is. Is this, which is a frequent occurrence, the reflections and thoughts of an individual? By what authority do they teach this? Where is their source, and how far back does that source go?
All teaching must rest in authority, not opinion. When someone tells me how they interpret a Biblical passage, I simply do not accept it if it does not rest in the authoritative teachings handed down to us from Jesus himself, the Apostles, and the early church fathers.
Each denomination has their own opinion and teaching about this, but there is a great deal we all agree on.
