Rough day ahead. In the lions’ den for a little while until the Lord sees fit to free me.
There is something brewing that’s been in the works for two years. A possible release and movement, but it is out of my hands right now and I’m waiting to hear the will and minds of others. It could mean everything to me.
Praying that it manifests and is truly a gift that I hope it could be.
End of today begins two weeks off of work… the longest in seventeen years and only the third extended vacation taken in my entire working life of 35 years. Once 5 days to Cincinnati (of all places… but kiddo loved it… Ark Experience, Reds baseball game, Aquarium visit), once 10 days (at home), and this two weeks (at home). I’ve taken a few of these days while kiddo is still in school, so I can be alone and meditate, read, and sit quietly in that new little coffee shop. There is some rest and healing that needs to take place.
I can’t wait for the temporary freedom, so I will pull up my boot straps, put on my best and most professional persona, apply my Spiritual armor, as well as my mind’s armor… and push forward through this temporary yuck of a day.
Kid had a mock trial at school yesterday and though she was not a counselor or judge, she was the “journalist” covering the story.
She suited up in dress slacks, suit jacket, and looked incredibly beautiful and professional. I hope it’s the start of her dressing nicer. She has a really lovely closet of clothes to procure from that she is blessed to carry her well into adulthood. Can’t get these kids past pajamas, tshirts, and yoga pants it seems… and dressing nicely can really give one a boost.

This is my favorite time of year—always has been since I was a little kid. Alas, with my wife’s recent passing there wasn’t much spirit-of-Christmas to be had last year. Christmastime this year is a bit better. Even though ‘alone’ is a new experience after 55 years of marriage I’ve learned to surround myself with the many good friends I’m blessed to have.
I also understand perfectly your desire to find some time for quiet contemplation in your favorite coffee shop. I especially like to find that kind of precious solace during the Christmas holiday season. When everyone else is rushing around . . . I am—by choice—simply not rushing anywhere.
Thank you for including me in your prayers. That’s something I especially appreciate. Rest assured I am praying for both your success and well-being and that of your wonderful daughter. Prayer counts.

Israel Update:
-Jake Sullivan was in Israel and Biden in DC were saying basically the same. The they want Israel to change from the powerful war to commando precision operations to save hostages and eliminate Hamas Leaders. They want it by the end of the year or a bit later. They want small special forces that will eliminate Hamas leaders and eliminate tunnels. Officially they don’t assign a time for when to go to this phase. Note: This leaves tens of thousands of Hamas terrorists alive and operating. They basically want Israel to lose the war. If Israel leaves tens of thousands of Hamas all over the place Israel is getting into a Vietnam situation that will not end well. I don’t want to prejudge because if it takes Israel two months rather than 3-4 weeks as they want and all the land is occupied then the commando idea could be working and may have been the plan anyways. But for sure any step to diminish the war ability of Israel for US elections and political reasons should not be accepted. If they want to turn on Israel in an election year it will also not go well with many of their voters. I believe that Israel has a lot more bipartisan support in the US than it seems.
– The House of Representatives of PA froze 30 millions dollars that were suppose to go to the University of PA. Because they don’t deal with antisemitism properly. They want to see action. Note: I wonder if 30 millions is a lot for this institution or they get hundreds of millions from Qatar and others?
-1 IDF soldier ,19 years old, died in South Gaza and 5 others badly wounded. Note: South Gaza is full of tall buildings and the IDF is in a disadvantage if they don’t take more buildings down. There are no civilians anyways in the zones they operate in.
-Jews in the US broke record donations to Israel. Over 1 Billion dollars since the war began.
-Senior American Official praised the Palestinian Authority for preventing Hamas violence.
Sullivan is about to meet the Palestinian Authority leader. Netanyahu is against letting the Palestinian Authority in Gaza. The Official said that the Forces of the Authority who get trained in the US did well after 10/7 to stop Hamas in the West Bank.
Note: This is a new one. US is training the future terrorists of the Palestinian Authority.
It smells CIA to me. We had some straight incidents that those people committed terror.
But overall they all want to annihilate Israel and will do what Hamas did if they could.
Today Gantz (the Cabinet member who joined from the opposition and is leading in poles in Israel) made an anti Bibi statement and accused him of creating unnecessary conflict with the US. I could read between the lines that he is aligned with Biden on the Palestinian Authority idea. They probably want to “reform the authority” and make them stop paying salaries to terrorists and change regarding the incitement. This will not work.
1. They don’t have the public support and without Israeli protection they will get killed by more aggressive terrorists very fast. 2. They are too ideologically hateful to Israel and beyond reform in my opinion.
-Senior Official from the US: “There is agreement that the future of Gaza should be led by Palestinians. Note: Yes. We don’t want to be responsible. We just want to have our forces around as necessary. They can manage their own business as long as it is not terror.
-IDF rescued the dead body of a 28 years old man who was kidnapped in 10/7. I don’t remember the exact number but it is now about 4-6 bodies of kidnapped that Israel brings home. I assume using data from interrogations helps to locate those bodies.
-This may seem meaningless but took a lot of reactions in Israel.
A couple of IDF Reservists in the West Bank Jenin city took over the microphone in a mosque (you know they have microphones with speakers that are used for prayers outside the mosques perimeters), so the solider took over the microphone and used it to sing the Jewish prayer of “Hear O’ Israel, YAWH is our God YAWH is one”. Also he sang the Hanukah song of “We came to dispel the darkness”.
This was perceived as an “attack on religion” and the IDF published that the two soldiers involved were suspended from duty. I have to mention that this mosque was used for terror with tunnels underneath and rifles etc….
In the Right wing of the Israeli politics it is perceived as demoralizing the army. People agree that some lighter disciplinary action would have been ok to do. But suspension seems to be too much. What they did also pissed off some Israeli Arabs. In the beginning I thought it was funny and the revenge impulse wants to humiliate them, but I felt something was not quite right and I avoided positing the video. In the right we say that “We need to speak with the Arabs Arabic”. IE. Don’t use Western kindness and morality against Arab aggressiveness. They respect their own language and don’t respect soft Western attitudes. But on this one I leave it for your judgment.
-Biden spoke with Erdogan the leader of Turkey. He mentioned that “Israel has a right to defend itself”. They discussed the future of Gaza amongst other issues.
Note: The US discussing Gaza with enemies of Israel like Turkey and Qatar is something that Trump would not have done.
-Bibi said : “We will continue the war until we complete all its objectives.”
This is following the requests of Sullivan to shift shortly into a low key commando operations war. Looks like a collision with the US.
Note: Bibi will need to handle the US on this one or he will lose all his supporters. No one wants to see the war going into an endless operations instead of all out annihilation of the Hamas. I know Bibi will try to hold his position. If he doesn’t we will have a disaster.
God please make Biden and his people agreeable and supportive of the Israelis all the way through. Note: One can’t ignore that they did provide some 200 airplanes with munitions and they did veto a UN resolution despite the pressures of the Progressive part of the DNC.
They also got the US Navy to the area to keep Hezbollah in check. So I can’t just complain.
I would rather pray for the good part of what they do to expand and I pray for Trump to be back.

I’ve not commented as much. Please know that I am a Christian in America who mourns with you and prays for you and your country. I am so saddened at the maimed and fallen brave men and women at the hands of such evil.
The root of this conflict, as with all other conflicts in this world, is the giving over of minds to satan by people who count human lives as statistics, rather than souls with broken families. It is a high price to pay to go to war and thus shouldn’t be taken for granted by a for-profit military industrial complex. Anything that capitalizes and prospers on the loss of human lives is pure evil.
I lament at the degradation of our nation and this world due to the depravity of a few mentally and Spiritually ill who do not represent the masses. I keep wanting to assess the situation and try to determine… is it the works of a few madmen? Or are there really a represented number of citizens who are truly sadistic and so careless with human life and back this mental illness up and promote it? It just sickens me.
As a Christian… to me… the salvation of these maniacs is out of reach… past the point of no return… for one cannot Spiritually save the unwilling. The apostles of Jesus were sent two by two and instructed that if they were rejected by the folks they attempted to teach… to shake the dust off their feet and move on and that they could remove their blessing from the home they were staying in.
It is unfathomable to me, that there are those content in and proud of earning compensation in whatever form of greed from their sins. Especially when it costs so much to another person who is innocent. I simply don’t live inside their minds, nor would I ever dare to look into their minds as it is a darkness that I can’t bear to behold. I believe only God could stand it! And what Jesus went through when He descended three days… with the weight of the world’s evil on His shoulders…. before He ascended and took His Triumphant Seat on His Throne…. just so He could pay a sin debt we could never pay? How heavy that load must have been!
When I can’t make sense of anything. When my prayers are too big to utter and I’m in a heap crying out to God… I often think of this song. It’s contemporary Christian. It just speaks to my heart.
I’ve seen the growth of Mount Saint Helen’s post-volcanic eruption and God truly can make “beauty from the ashes” even though “I don’t know what His Plan is.” Did you know that the eruption moved a lake there… called Spirit Lake… up a thousand feet in elevation? Picked the whole thing up and moved it! Amazing. He can literally move mountains and nothing is outside of His Grasp! Nothing! He Is The Great I Am, Who Was then, Is now, and forever Will Be! World without end!
I pray this song will bring you some comfort.

I had to laugh. A bit of a contradiction in what I just posted to Garrison regarding my teen daughter.
I’m trying to encourage her to strive for extraordinary once in a while. It’s achievable… when one’s mind and efforts are set to it.
More soldiers return home for a refresher, many have not been home almost two months since the war began. prepare the tissue. They leave with their personal weapons and return to base or war with it.
Many but not all in the video above are actually coming back from combat and you can see it by the reactions of their families who were in extreme worry and know where they come from.

1 Samuel 23:16-18 “And Jonathan Saul’s son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God. And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you; and you shall be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto you; and that also Saul my father knows. How was Jonathan able to locate David, and go to him in his hiding place in the woods, while his father Saul, and all the people with him could not? I believe, that it was because Jonathan was a man of God, of the same heart and soul as David; so the LORD guided Jonathan to go find David and strengthen him in God. But Saul, whom the LORD had departed from, and who made himself an enemy of David continually, God forbade to find.
God led Jonathan to go find David, because he loved him as his own soul; and the LORD saw Jonathan as the very one He could send with a word of comfort and encouragement that he needed, and for confirming what God had for him in the time to come.
Somewhat similarly, Jethro the priest of Midian, Moses’ father-in-law, he also came out to look in on his beloved son-in-law in the desert; and rejoiced to hear all the wonderful good which God had done for Israel; and also helped Moses with good judgment and sound advice, how to delegate responsibility to worthy and capable men among the tribes, and to ease himself of the burden of the people. Moses’ father-in-law was evidently sent by God to strengthen, and to help Moses to more fully accomplish what God had given him to do.
The words which Jonathan brought to David, were apparently what was on his mind concerning David. We can be fairly sure, that the whole business of Samuel having come to Bethlehem, and anointing David in the presence of his brethren, was widely known across the country: and since Saul was hearing the same things, and “eyeing David” all the time, and afraid of him; Jonathan was also hearing what was said, and having the kind of heart the Holy Spirit could show things, was very much pondering all these things; and at no time ever envied David; but saw it all as God’s doing.
What’s interesting, while we are comparing Jonathan coming to David, with Jethro coming to Moses; Jethro’s coming was chiefly for rejoicing in the LORD; but then he saw what Moses was doing, and was moved to intruct him to wisdom; and to parten the work of handling all the controversies and strife of the people. Jonathan however came to David, not for rejoicing, but for comfort and encouragement in a time of trouble and unjust suffering of wrongs, and of unfounded suspicions, and people separating from his company.
The example for us is plain enough; to have such a love for one another “as our own soul,” and to be so continually in tune with the Spirit of the LORD; that He can send us at every time, to strengthen our brothers and sisters in God, and speak the words of comfort and encouragement, and the confession in faith of what God has for them. Moreover to confirm that this is indeed fundamental to our doing what He has charged us with, to be His faithful and true witnesses unto the end; we have all that Jesus spoke to the disciples at the Last Supper, in John 13-17.
As the foundation of what their ministry and experience in the world would be, after that Jesus had accomplished His decease, and resurrection, and had sent the Holy Spirit to help them; He pretty much started out by saying, how He would reveal Himself to us, but not to the world, by our keeping His commandments, and love for one another.
John 14:19-24 “Yet a little while, and the world sees Me no more; but you see Me: because I live, you shall live also. At that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He that has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him. Judas says to Him, (not Iscariot,) Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world? Jesus answered and said to him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him. He that loves Me not keeps not My sayings: and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s which sent Me.”
Jonathan’s mission to find David and speak to him, was a Divine appointment. Jethro coming to see Moses, and then instructing him in the wisdom of letting others help in the work, was a Divine appointment. Jesus’ commandment for us to love one another, is very much a Divine appointment: for thereby shall we be admitted into the fellowship of God, and made capable for the work of the Spirit in the world. God has His Davids, who need His Jonathans, to come find them and strengthen them in God. But we have to love one another as our own soul, and be filled with the same Holy Spirit, if God may be able to send us on such important work.
Lastly, with these things, is the fact that the greater part of what Jonathan was sent to speak to David, was for the world to come. And so it must also be with us likewise. We believe that Jonathan spoke a prophetic word to David, about his being king over Israel, and that he would be next to him in his kingdom. But Jonathan was killed in battle by the Philistines; and he didn’t see it in his lifetime what God gave him to know. Also David himself; although he was on the throne for forty years; the greater part of the people were as yet unconverted, and knew not the LORD according as David revealed to them through the Psalms. That time; which God had plainly said to him was what would be; along with the coming of Christ the King of all the earth, out of his seed according to the flesh; all were of things for the world to come, after this present world has finished its course and passed away.
We wait, and all the saints who have ever lived, or are yet to come, must wait for the time which the Father alone knows when it shall be. We are told that it shall be; and we live by faith in that word; and if the Lord tarry, we will die in faith, still awaiting the promise. But that day will come; and David will be the king of Israel for ever, and his dearest friend and brother Jonathan will be next to him; and we will see them both alive, and all the word of God fulfilled.

Oh! I remember it well! It came in the hay day of the muscle car! The nights when we paraded our hot rods through he Frisch’s Big Boy curb service parking lot, creeping over the speed bumps while doing so.
Mine was a red 1969 Nova with a flat black crinkle paint top. 396 turbo, headers with cut outs. Hurst four on the floor. Grager wheels with 70 series tires on the rear. Positrac rear end. Had a link of chain bolting the frame to the block because without it I would bust the motor mount.
When I busted that motor mount the engine would rock locking the carburetor linkage wide open! After doing that once and spinning with smoke rolling twice in the middle of the road before I got it shut down I chained it so it wouldn’t happen again.
There were guys with supercharged 383s and 440 mags that were faster than mine. But man that car was fun to drive. and because of the heavy duty clutch no girl could drive it. I finally grew out of it. Sold it to a kid and the last time I saw it, it was going sideways down the road with tire smoke billowing around it.
My next car was a 1977 Cutlass Supreme Brougham with a 350 in it. The best car I ever owned.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

Just over an hour ago Twitter lit up with this heart-wrenching tragedy.
In my view Hamas kidnapped them. Hamas is ultimately responsible for the death of these three hostages. The IDF was fighitng in an area where 20 IDF had been killed.
Intense fighting. Everyone on alert and three men approaching them appeared to be terrorists. Instead they were hostages. They don’t know whether the hostages had managed to escape or if they had been let go in the middle of the fighting.
May their families and the IDF soldiers be enveloped in loving care.
