hey monticello, The “maestro” (Segovia) is always a great place to end up. His phrasing, dynamics, color, tempo, everything is just so “in a class of its own” usually. Also, the way he strikes the strings with his right hand flesh and nails together is worth noting. Then you have the left hand fingering and right hand patterning p, m, i, a strategies.
But above all is his phrasing and tempo. Just hard to understand how puts it all together.

How different was the world then. The young people thought they were ushering in a new world of Love. A world where the emphasis would be on the simpler things of life. Hard to believe that if most of these young people were about 20 when they attended this event, they would be close to their 80’s now. I wonder how their lives turned out. I hope at least some of them had their dreams come true. I hope they found what they were searching for.
Yes, some of my school mates followed the “Peace Love” hippie lifestyle. The motto was “Turn on, tune in, drop out.”
Don’t know what they ultimately became or accomplished but early reports in the 90s were that several of them had “dropped out”. 🤣🤣. It never appealed to me.
I didn’t attend but remember reading and seeing videos (film) of that Concert for Bangladesh. Shankar enjoyed a relatively brief period of widespread fame but mainstream American pop music far overshadowed his influence.

I love her work, and pray that she was saved by the Lord. What a great mind, she even said, during a Donahue interview, that she hoped her husband would…and that subject is another topic of conversation, would be saved by Michael the Arch Angel. -Three Reserve Infantry soldiers fell in Gaza, 2 at the South and one in the North. May God Bless their souls.
-Defense Minister to The Daily Mail :”Hamas didn’t expect our response.”
He exposes: “Israel helped to prevent hundreds of terror attacks in Britain and Europe in recent years.” “We don’t seek war in the North but we we come to a point we have to establish our security in the north – west will not hesitate like we didn’t hesitate in the South.”
-Steven Spielberg the known American film maker will document testimonials from 10/7. He is shocked of the brutality at the massacre. He said that “The testimonials will be a powerful tool against antisemitism and other hate”.
-Jake Sullivan the National Security Advisor will arrive to Israel in the near weekend. He will discuss increase in the Humanitarian Aide among other things.
-Dr. Phil watched the horror film of the IDF about the massacre. Was quite shocked and came out with an angry attack (on Tweeter) on the University Leaders. He has 1.4 million followers.
-The General Assembly of the UN will vote to make an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. I don’t know if the US can veto this or not but I don’t think that Israel cares much.
-Blinken : “The sexual violence of Hamas is beyond anything I have seen”.
He condemn it strongly and the fact that nations and organizations were slow to respond.
-Israel attacks in Syria near Damascus. No known casualties. Attacked weapon storages and command posts that are related to Iranian Militia and Hezbollah.
-Research in the US made by PEW Research Institute: 65% of Americans blame Hamas more for starting the war. 35% blame more Israel. This matches other poles that show increase American’s support of Israel. 73% of Republicans voters agree that Hamas carry more responsibility for the war, Democrats also had 63% think the same.
But as to the responsibility of the Israeli government to the conflict overall 50% Democrats blame Israel and 21% Republicans blame Israel too. Analyzing by age shows that the younger are less inclined to blame Hamas. But 80% of 65 old and above blame Hamas. Only 46% of 30 years old and below blame Hamas. Only a tiny % of Americans think that Hamas have no responsibility at all for the war.
Note: I am not a fan of poles. But if it’s true then “the older you get the wiser you become”. There is hope friends. LOL.
-The responses of the IDF at the north have escalated. Hezbollah is taking more hits and damages. They have already lost about a 100 fighters.
-Palestinian Prime Minister (from the West Bank) met the leader of Qatar and discussed the ceasefire and aide and the work to be done in the world for the establishment of a Palestinian State.
-Some thousands of Demonstrators with the families of the kidnapped and media are generating persistent pressure on the Government to do evening to release the hostages.
-A high Security Official in Israel said that the images of Palestinian prisoners in underwear is useless and will stop. Note: In my social media groups people are pissed off. They think that humiliation is “speaking in their language”. They think it’s “painting the victory image”. They think that “honor” is their weakness like “hostages” is ours.
Everyone must undress to verify they don’t carry explosive vests. But usually you dress them back. My opinion is that it’s just giving the monsters more reasons to humiliate and hurt our kidnapped people. I saw on Israeli media reports of surrendering Hamas people but also reports on arresting suspects who were in areas that everyone was told to stay away. I know the other side is claiming there is a reporter in an undressed group. So yes, We should show loads and loads of prisoners to demoralize the enemy and make them think the game is over.
But the extra humiliation can be off camera and for real terrorist interrogation or punishment reasons. In social media I get the sense that it’s the urge to revenge that makes people want to see those images.
-Targeted assassination of the new Commander of the Hamas of the Shajaiha City, the one before was also assassinated. Israel already assassinated about a half of the Battalion and Brigade level of command of Hamas.
-Wide bombardment of the North and central Gaza. Also some at the South. Massive fights also, not many specifics but I get it that there are fierce fights and we are killing many terrorists but also have some casualties. I hope this stage of the war will end in a couple of weeks.

I can’t thank you enough for your in-depth information.
Being a fan of old movies, I recently watched Cast a Giant Shadow released in 1962 in the US. It is about WWII hero US Col David “Mickey” Marcus who was an advisor to Ben Gurion during the 1948 period of the establishment of the state of Israel.
Marcus apparently was invaluable in formally organizing and training the early Israeli army. Tragically, he died as a result of “friendly” fire in Israel only months after accomplishing his goals.
The movie prompted me to find and read the book of the same name by Ted Berkman which, of course, is much more detailed than the movie.
Marcus was a fascinating and heroic individual, and I wondered if his story is still taught in Israeli history.

Pray now for those in this nation, particularly those in positions of authority, who have been deceived and walk in rebellion against God, that they come to faith while there is still time.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Good morning all.
Sherry and I have been down sick for days. Today, finally, I’m feeling better than I have in about a week. Sherry is still in bed.
My oldest Granddaughter and her husband were right in the middle of the tornado outbreak in TN. Hit her neighborhood hard but apparently missed doing any structural damage to the house they’ living in. Jason found a generator and has it hooked up so they at least have some heat now. No water service yet, and they’re being told not to expect full electrical service until around Christmas time.
The kids were out helping neighbors look for their pets yesterday.
Corbin gave me hell for not forewarning her. But my time online has been limited as I have just been taking care of essentials around the house as needed and then getting back in bed. Been keeping the insert going during the day. Feeding the dogs and taking them out to do their business, and other domestic chores that couldn’t wait.
Ryan was over yesterday wiring the garage. The garage and sunroom have all the windows in them. The sunroom is now completely enclosed.
Glad you are improving, hope you and Sherry both get all the way well, soon.
Glad your family is ok after the tornado. Sorry for those who lost loved ones and damage to property.

just curious… cuz quite a few people I know are under the weather lately, so I’m kind of curious.
Don’t do flu shots. We probably have had COVID but we don’t bother to test since it doesn’t make a difference.
Anyway it seems we’re on the mend now and can get some stuff done for Christmas. Get all the gifts sent out!
We are not decorating this year because of all of the construction. Before long they’ll be tearing out the old windows where the doors will be put in leading to the sunroom and the garage. That means moving a bunch of furniture, so we’re going to be cramped for space.

Does anyone know what church is considered to be conservative? My wife and I had been attending a mid sized Lutheran church for about three years. Last May the bishop was filling in for the pastor, and during prayers asked everyone to pray to end “white privilege”. My wife and I just looked at each other stunned to hear that come from a supposed religious leader. We were tempted to just get up and leave, but didn’t want to make a scene. We haven’t been back since.
We could always tell that the church pastor leaned left, but he didn’t force his political beliefs during church service. To hear “woke” beliefs from the leader of the church during an actual service was stunning and infuriating. Are we overreacting by not wanting to go back?
At this time my wife and I aren’t quite sure what to do. I figured our choices are…go back to the Lutheran church and try to ignore the “wokeness”, find a new conservative church that sticks to the Bible, or just give up on organized religion and as my wife says “just live a Christian lifestyle”.
Any opinions and advice would be appreciated.

Western, I hope you don’t mind, but I did a brief internet search and read that of the different Lutheran denominations that the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is the most politically conservaive denomination and most likely to vote Republican.
I don’t know if they have churches near you, but their website has a “find a church” link. If not, it might still be worth a call to them asking if they are aware of conservative leaning Lutheran church near you.
