Currently I am praying for an extended family member of mine, she is pregnant for the second time. The first time she miscarried due to taking the vax because of her job.
My heart aches for all who were mislead, and have suffered as a consequence. It’s doubtful that anyone who succumbed will ever be healthy again. I am seeing it and hearing about it all the time.
Little talked about is Buffalo Bills co-owner Kim Pegula who went into cardiac arrest in 2022 a year before Damar Hamlin, she suffers memory and speech loss still. Very few athletes refused the vax, the ones who did were skewered but still healthy.

This is something I have talked about for some time.
I am not one of those people who thinks she has the right to tell others they must like my preferences in candidates, but when people were vety forthright in condemning Donald Trump to me, it had to be for something he actually did.
Not, “he doesn’t pay his taxes”, or “he mocked a handicapped person”.
If they didn’t go to the trouble of checking these things out, how dare they tell me I was wrong in my support for him?
More recently, I have been complaining about Mitt Romney’s attacks on President Trump, and the fact that, as a politician, Romney ought to be able to express which of the Trump policies and actions he takes issue with, but he never does.
He goes low, and takes shots at Donald’s character, and by extension, at the people who support him. He has never, to my knowledge, given a solid reason other than his personal distaste, for not wanting President Trump back in the White House.
I see that Scott Adams, who studies these types of things, has noticed this phenomenon also. He expresses it much better than I can:

Agree; it’s all about the manipulation of emotions. Facts never work when people are riled up by fear, anger, desire, love, all the emotions and the attacks against PDJT are never about specific policies or acts but about the use of emotions to denigrate.
As Con artists have known since the dawn od civilisation, and as scientists have demonstrated with PET brain scans, when we experience a STRONG emotion, whether it be mirth, sadness, anger, fear, resentment, etc. the parts of our brain that otherwise would engage in critical thinking are diverted to experiencing the emotion.
An idea introduce DURING this time, concomitent with the emotional triggering, because it is not ‘vetted’ or critically analysed by our brain thru critical thinking, is accepted as valid.
Con artists, advertising professionals, politicians and their consultants, psychopaths/sociopaths and anyone who wishes to manipulate others opinions or actions knows this whether instinctively or by training.
Hence, in order to try to resist being manipulated it is essential to keep your emotions under control, and takes conscious effort.
Doesn’t mean NO emotions, it just means muting your responce somewhat, especially to “headlines”.

Caltron left out a few major facts in the article you reference.
First and most important, the stated and legislated intent of MRT, which was a feature of the 2017 Tax Reduction Act, was to provide a means for Investors and Businesses to REPATRIATE Capital to the US in order to revitalize US GDP Producing Industries. MRT provided a relatively low 13% one-time tax payment for Capital that was repatriated.
Second and related to the comment above … the Biden Administration Judge shopped in the very corrupt 9th Circuit Court to find Judges willing to rewrite and misrepresent the MRT within the 2017 Tax Legislation to support their attack on the “definition of income” included in the 16th Amendment. The ILLEGAL rewriting of the 16th Amendment (i.e. by SCOTUS Legislating from the Bench) is now in the hands of a corrupt Supreme Court.
True, that Caltron’s article highlights this most dangerous law suit by the Biden Administration… but he also highlights it was the Trump Administration that established MRT in an attempt to smear President Trump.
The article is worth a read but read the whole article and understand that The American Spectator has morphed into a Uni-Party asset via most of the authors they now employ. They only tell part of the story and most often lie via omission.

The Supreme Court settled this argument over a century ago in that Macomber decision in 1920. That has been precedent ever since and there is no reason to overrule that case.

Seems to me, IF tax law was to be “fair” that any unrealised LOSS should also be able to be claimed.
Imagine the nightmare, but o.k. any unrealised gain in value, such as stock portfolio or property goes up in value, i.e. an “on paper” gain gets taxed.
But any “on paper” losses ALSO can be declared on taxes as a loss, to offset any gains.
Just a slippery slope inevitable destination,..repeal the 16th.

The Oakland Unified School District is pushing back against what it has called an “unsanctioned” teach-in centered on the “Palestinian struggle for liberation,” on Wednesday, and organized by Oakland educators.
“I want to make clear that the District does not authorize this action,” said Dr. Kyla Johnson-Trammell, the superintendent of Oakland Unified, in a message shared with the school community Monday morning. “Our schools are sanctuaries for learning, and I am deeply disappointed by the harmful and divisive materials being circulated and promoted as factual.”
The teach-in is planned for Wednesday, Dec, 6. In a 12-page lesson plan(link) prepared for the teach-in, resources were compiled for children aged 4 to 18. The lessons range from a Palestinian-themed alphabet book with the letter i representing intifada, a word typically used to describe armed uprisings against Israeli occupation; to an Amnesty International article titled Israel’s Occupation: 50 Years of Dispossession.
