I went for a short run this morning. On the cold dew of a cow pasture. No shoes. But I still have a pair of waffle racers and a pair of new balance from 1986. They aren’t very good anymore, but I keep them just to remind myself of what happens when good old american entrepreneurialism was a small company endeavor. Now, you see these small entrepreneurs taking no risks unless backed by venture capitol and that usually means the manufacturing and quality swirls down the drain before the first product is shipped.

During his 1992 presidential campaign, Texan Ross Perot was maligned for his warning that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) would cause many American jobs to be outsourced. But it turns out he was right about that “giant sucking sound.” NAFTA went into effect January 1, 1994, and the resultant suction of American jobs to points south — and ultimately west — has seemed almost audible.
According to the analysis of Global Economic Intersection (GEI), the goods balance of trade for the U.S. with Mexico has been negative and growing since the adoption of NAFTA. GEI, an economics-based website, focuses on the effects of economics on finance, investing, social interactions, politics, and public policy, and also features analysis of economic indicators.
GEI reported that in 2010, the negative balance of trade for the U.S. was $61.6 billion, 9.5 percent of the total goods trade deficit last year. The group’s analysis also noted that almost 29 million American jobs had been lost between 1992 and the end of 2010.
The “expanded free trade” that Perot’s 1992 opponents George Bush and Bill Clinton argued would create U.S. jobs has backfired. Cheap labor markets in Mexico, and ultimately China, have resulted in many American manufacturers opting to outsource jobs and factories. I’m getting on in years, but I have been asking myself lately. What do we really gain from being employed by anyone, or even self employed? WHY, do we have to do anything for anyone regards labor, when we only need to be able to do for ourselves?
I have always been frugal, self sufficient, paid my taxes, and am debt free.
Is a home you can’t afford to cool, or heat, a car faster, or better than anyone else’s really worth it? I’m on the outside looking in at slaves in a system who can’t take anything with them when they go, and whose lives seem to be about impressing others who don’t even know they exist.
Too much unnecessary stuff is a chain upon one’s soul.
These days the only things I buy are things that help me become more self sufficient, like gardening tools.
Small house, old car, a few chickens and a garden, no debt at all. My friends and neighbors don’t care about “stuff” either. We help each other. Sort of like Mayberry, without the Southern accents.
There is peace in being debt free, having a full pantry and the ability to restock it from the produce of your own land, surrounded by like-minded folks.
I think it will be the way to survive the collapse of the West.
When Rome fell and the western empire crumbled, people survived. Disconnecting from the system is key. Having a strong relationship with the Lord and other like-minded folks is crucial.
Whether a country, a community, a household or an individual, escew debt and move ever towards self-sufficiency, thats the way to go!
So many have surrendered so much (liberties, autonomy and even lives) for mere ILLUSIONS of Security, Prosperity and Convenience.

As America developed, frankly their could never be “free and fair trade”, because America had certain built in advantages that tilted the playing field in our favor.
As a result of America having vast natural resources, a large, vibrant middle class, the rule of law, etc. these things all worked together to produce a country that purchased far more, per capita than any other.
This made America the market every company wanted to seel into.
However, it also meant that America was capable of providing everything its citisenry needed, without HAVING to import anything.
No other country was in this uniquely powerful position when it came to TRADE.
THIS was the true strength of America; its what put us in a position to have U.S. Treasuries be the “benchmark” as the ‘safest’ investment, and so the universal reserve currency and it gave us the power to force its use as the ‘petrodollar’.
The process of destroying America has involved attacking and destroying those things which made America the unique, indespensible city on a hill, our Constitution and rule of law, our strong, vibrant middle class, and the independence of being able to produce all our people required.

The Price of Free Corn
The allegory of the pigs has a serious moral lesson. This story is about “free” tax money being used to bait, trap, and enslave a once free and independent people.
Federal, state, and local welfare, in its myriad forms, has reduced not only individuals to a state of dependency. State and local governments are also on the fast track to elimination, due to their functions being subverted by the command and control structures of federal “revenue sharing” programs.
A tale of two families…through a complicated set of circumstances, I happen to know two families pretty well who immigrated to the US 30 years apart. Their stories sum up everything that was right and is now WRONG with our immigration system.
The first family came from Northern Europe in the late 1950s, after the end of WWII, in order to give their children a better life. The father came first, legally, working hard for several years, taking any job he could get, in order to save money and get established. He had to have a stable source of income, find a sponsor, fill out all of the proper paperwork, and pay all of the required fees in order to bring his wife and two young children to America. Once they arrived, speaking no English, the children were immediately placed into the regular school system, where they were immersed in the language of their new country. The wife also had to learn English, as she needed a driver’s license and the test was only offered in ONE language! They had to sign agreements that they would NEVER be eligible for any kind of public assistance and so they immediately set to work to provide for their family. They had two more children after they immigrated and all four graduated from high school, which was more than their parents had done, and were hard working, law abiding, tax paying citizens their entire lives. They, in turn, produced seven hard working, law abiding children, five of whom graduated from college, including two with Master’s degrees, and one with a PhD.
Second family came to the US, illegally, from Mexico in the early 1980s, seeking to escape gang violence, and start over in California. The parents, who were both illiterate, brought their teenage daughters, and infant grandchild. They moved into the projects in Bakersfield, where the father immediately got back into the gang lifestyle, and the daughters began having more children. They all received amnesty in 1986 under Reagan’s sweeping overhaul of the Immigration system that the Democrats promised would “end the problem”. The mother never bothered to learn English and never held a job. The new babies produced by the teenaged daughters were automatically given citizenship, but were also raised in the projects. Only one of them graduated from high school, while the rest ended up in gangs, and most eventually went to prison.
Pat Buchanan was right then and he’s been proven right time and time again over the years…too bad so few people were listening to him!

Luckily they both got through it ok, though Globalist Wilson campaigned on keeping America out of the war. Unless they can pass the same test that immigrants must pass to become citizens, people shouldnt be allowed to vote. The idea that there is some public benefit in ignoramuses and morons pulling levers next to names on a ballot is one of the evil myths of post-modern America. The purpose of voting, in our country, is to select men and women with the competence and integrity to operate the mechanics of government fixed by our Constitution. For this process to have any public benefit requires that the choices be made on an intelligent, knowledgeable and reasoned basis.

I have another little story from yesterday. My daughter is in the horse world and there are Mexicans who work for cash. One of them came to the house yesterday to help us with our lights and tree. He was smart and worked his butt off. You’d be hard pressed to find any Americans who would do this work. My daughter told me he had a child here who is an automatic citizen and the child will sponsor him to become a citizen.
In principal he’s the type of guy who I think is ok because he works – but his anchor baby sponsoring his status to be legal? What a mess!

ANY State Gov. COULD pass laws, rules/regs, policies/proceedures requiring every business in the State, as a condition for being licenced, to provide proof its employees are all legal to work.
Thats a first step, as a great many illegals DO come to the U.S. for employment.

You might find the latest research based on the Y chromosome to be quite interesting. For example, the third wave of immigration to the Americas (today’s “indigenous”) were descended from Shem. All the various southeast asian and pacific islanders were not.

Specifically, FIVE (5) Inspector General (IGs) offices received a package that included sworn affidavits from “whistleblowers” indicting Jack Smith for felony level crimes. The IGs received a FEDEX yesterday: DoJ & DoJ Office of Professional Responsibility, Dept of State IG, IC, and IG at the CIA. The SDNY was informed of Jack Smiths crimes nearly 18 months ago & did nothing. What Garlands DoJ did do is to tell (inferred by Patrick Byrne) Jack Smiths play ball or get 30 years in pound me in the ass Federal prison.

Byrne did a 24 min video report on his locals page. The full video is free (but you have to sign up to his locals).
He basically said Jack Smith was an extortionist at The Hague. He alleges this corruption was turned over to the DOJ 18 months ago who sat on it. Then the DOJ selected Jack Smith to go after Trump.
Byrne makes a reasonable assumption Smith was threatened to either go to jail or become special prosecuter and go after Trump. Who knows?
Evidently the evidence from whistleblowers has been turned over to several IGs recently.

I know a family who earlier this year insisted their young teen stay up half the night to complete a school project that was due the next day, because it wasn’t done previously by the teen’s own efforts; one of them personally supervised the midnight-oil-burn. An uncomfortable lesson in time management and commitment fulfillment by engaged parents (schooling BS notwithstanding) that ultimately allowed the child to succeed, not fail.
THAT is what parental guidance & teaching responsibility actually looks like. An F from the teacher for the teen’s project factored into a cumulative grade on a report card would not have had the same consequential effect (= accomplishment/success-by-extra-effort), imo.
Will that boy who admittedly premeditated and attempted to murder his teacher actually learn personal responsibility from experiencing his mother being in prison for ‘pot use & gun possession & false statement on a federal form’ crimes (and possibly also a child neglect crime; TBD? will that one be dropped as incidental)???
IDK; I do know that prison doesn’t offer ‘rehabilitation of parenting-failure’ effectively or merit-based guidance for seriously untethered/disrupted/angry children.

Risch, Crapo, Hagerty Demanding Answers on Admin’s Taxpayer-Funded Voter Mobilization Plans
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), and Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) sent a letter to President Biden regarding his failure to appropriately respond to concerns about an executive order that requires federal agencies to engage in voter mobilizations and the potential use of taxpayer dollars for these efforts. The Senators are raising alarm over Executive Order 14019 given it potentially violates the Antideficiency Act, which explicitly prohibits agencies from expending federal funds without Congressional authorization.
“We are concerned by your failure to respond to our previous inquiry on May 10, 2023, regarding Executive Order 14019 on ‘Promoting Access to Voting,’” the Senators wrote. “This policy directive merits congressional oversight both as a general matter and under the Antideficiency Act. Accordingly, we write to reiterate our request for information regarding the implementation of this executive order, including copies of the plans submitted to the White House.”
“Federal agencies should be focused on their defined missions in a nonpartisan manner, not using taxpayer funds for voter mobilization efforts with potentially partisan impacts,” the Senators continued. “In other words, it’s not the job of the federal government to drive voter turnout.”
In order to determine the voter mobilization and electioneering activities to which the Biden Administration has devoted taxpayer resources, the Senators once again requested that the Biden Administration provide the American people the following basic information:
Copies of all federal agency “strategic plans” required under the Order and a list of which agencies have not yet submitted a strategic plan;
The strategic plan required by the General Services Administration under the Order;
The recommendations provided by the Office of Personnel Management under the Order; and
All procedures established by the Attorney General under the Order.
Co-signers of the letter include Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) along with Senators Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Ted Budd (R-N.C.), Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.V.), Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Katie Britt (R-Ala.), Rodger Wicker (R-Miss.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Mike Braun (R-Ind.), Rick Scott (R-Fla.), J.D.
