It’s like watching a slow-motion train wreck of Sea Island billionaires.
Last week the Chief Executive Officer of the DeSantis “Never Back Down” super PAC, Chris Jankowski, backed down and quit. This week the Chairman of the SuperPAC, Adam Laxalt, quits. …And Florida now dislikes DeSantis, so there’s no easy return home. Best primary election ever.
Associated Press – The chairman of the most powerful independent group supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ presidential ambitions has resigned, marking the second major departure at the pro-DeSantis Never Back Down super PAC in the last two weeks.
Never Back Down Chairman Adam Laxalt, the former Nevada attorney general and a close DeSantis confidant, submitted his resignation on Sunday, according to a copy of the letter obtained by The Associated Press on Friday. The New York Times first reported Laxalt’s decision.
“Effective immediately, I am resigning from the Board of Directors of Never Back Down. After nearly 26 straight months of being in a full scale campaign, I need to return my time and attention to my family and law practice,” Laxalt wrote to the super PAC board. “I will continue to support Governor DeSantis in whatever ways I can, and I hope and pray that his campaign will be successful.”
Last week, the super PAC’s chief executive, Chris Jankowski, also resigned.
The moves come as DeSantis struggles to redirect his stagnant presidential campaign, which has fallen far short of expectations. The 45-year-old Florida governor entered the 2024 GOP primary this spring as the chief rival to former President Donald Trump. Now, he’s locked in a fierce contest for a distant second place with former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley as Iowa’s make-or-break presidential caucuses loom just six weeks away. (read more)
All of these characters were former Ted Cruz 2016 guys. Too funny.
This man will cause so much damage to Florida politics. I don’t think a lot of people are seeing the big picture. Come next gubernatorial election over there, I feel down ballot may struggle because of Ronnie’s shenanigans.
Big Time.
He has preweaponized the Florida government for a Leftist tyranny akin to how Bush paved the way for Zero.
May Runt’s ignominy be useful in undoing that and keeping Florida at least painted red.
We need Matt Gaetz to be Gov next round.
Meatball looked like a we had a good Gov because all the former were so bad.
I believe Ron DeSantis was recruited just after President Trump was elected and everything he did from then on was scripted.
I’m waiting to see what his big payoff is: A book deal, A seat on the Supreme Court, A job at some University, or on Fox News.
Perhaps Harvard will soon be hiring…
Or maybe a cowboy boot manufacturer trying to create and dominate a new marketing segment of men whose aspirations are taller than they are.
The Lord Farquat line from Tony Lama boots!
He’ll probably have more opportunity with your entry.
Maybe bone grafts to make him taller.
And put lift manufacturers out of business. Heavens. Updating the resume to lobby for lift manufacturers, a valuable industry to our national security.
Skull & Bones graft…
rofl
nominate this for comment of the year!!
So many layers of double meaning in that concise snark, well played SIR!!
Thank you, Sir!
Soy Boy RD joined St. Elmo’s Club at Yale, S & B wouldn’t have him.
Casey’s boots did him in, she thought she was helping but made a mockery of him. Rand Paul is short in stature, no body even notices because he stands tall on ideas.
Ross Perot was a giant.
Going with B and C. Unless that Supreme Court gig is limited to Florida’s high court.
I disagree, Boo. RDS is too ordinary to have been the GOP Elites’ selection. They are snobs. Remember how George and Barbara looked down their aristocratic snouts at the Reagans? RDS was losing the FL primary until Trump endorsed him. Notice also how quickly they bailed. Look how they stuck with McCain (another political blueblood), Romney (ibid), Jeb!, Jeb!’s father. They accepted Ron because he was such a successful governor they thought he could beat Trump. To them Trump is the enemy, not Biden or Gavin or Kamala. Trump represents us, the hoi polloi, and the Country Club set hates their base but can’t stay in power without us. No, they were only using RDS to get rid of 45 and had they managed, they would have undermined him the way they did 45.
Remember how they sabotaged Newt after he won SC? How they kept him and Huckabee off the VA ballot? These people are not our friends. They were using RDS like they used the Tea Party and MAGA, to benefit themselves. Trump (and Reagan) turned the tables on them, so they saddled both with a VP who undermined them.
RDS showed his lack of political acumen when he bought into their pitch
. It was never about him; it was about defeating Trump. He had such a good win in 2022 they thought they could use him. It might have worked had we not caught on to what they were up to.
Read Angelo Codevilla’s “America’s Ruling Class and the Perils if Revolution”.
FL almost got Andrew Gillum until Trump stepped in with his endorsement and rescued DeSantis from the dregs of third place!!!!
Not quite. Adam Putnam, the Sec of Agriculture was way ahead of Gillum in the polls. Had Trump endorsed Putnam it would’ve been a slam dunk. Gillum never had a chance.
At that point in time Trump wasn’t aware of all the Machiavellian moves going on behind his back.
I agree Xavier
Only membership in the Royal Family saved Prince Harry from the mediocrity that his intellect and personality otherwise preordained. And yet he consistently bit the hand that both sustained and largely created him.
The ingratitude displayed by the unexceptional often leads to the ugliest crash-and-burns.
Yes, he can serve eight years, then go on to make a presidential bid. Can see now why they are trying to take him out.
We need Sundance to be next Florida Governor.
Who best articulates the problems in government? I can think of no one else.
Agree and he just rode the coattails of the legislature with some common sense laws.
It’s not so much what he did as what they wrote.
I agree with you, Maquis and Kultur. As a resident of FL, I’m very concerned that he has left such a bad taste in our mouths that Republican turn out will be too low to win the next election if our candidate is a ho-hum republican.. I also agree with Edink, that Gaetz is the natural next FL governor and may be able to energize the base.
No, don’t be selfish, we need him as a national representative.
Actually, we don’t need any of the politicians and would like ly be better off without any of them.
So, sacrifice one of the two remaining strong red states (Texas the other), so ‘we’ can have 1 out of 435 members to try to do something virtually insurmountable?
That’s not selfish. It’s pragmatic.
We can find and promote a MAGA governor
Floridian here. What do y’all think about Byron Donalds as our next governor?
Either Byron or Gaetz would be a step up.
I like Byron Donalds and think he would make a great governor, as would Matt Gaetz. Alternately, either one would make a good VP.
Here’s the thing: so many people have pushed DeSantis as Trump’s VP selection but I believe they would kill each other and we need a strong conservative VP to take over the reins when Trump leaves office. Either Byron or Matt would fill that slot nicely.
It’s possible but a million plus Republicans have moved here in the last five years. I don’t think Florida flips despite Neocon Ron’s disastrous last two years.
A leftist calling himself a republican might become governor. He does have a couple years to do some good in Florida.
His successes were all directed to create an illusion, which has been shattered.
Those that directed his successes funded his failed campaign, he owes them and I’m quite certain they will seek maximum extraction of residual value from their sad puppet, none of which bodes well for Floridians who will foot the bill and face the reduced freedom.
As it is, there are a great many terrible things he’s already imposed on Florida during his Super Gov Derp State show; I can’t see him coming clean and becoming the strong freedom minded Governor he never really was once he returns in humiliation to the state he has exploited so.
I’m hoping he will be roundly shamed and called out enough that maybe Patriots can force his hand, but I’m glad I haven’t voted with my feet and subjected myself to that faint hope.
Yes, but it certainly is satisfying to see one man, our host, almost single-handedly dissect and feed into a wood chipper a plan of that scope and expense. They really thought they could convince us they did not steal the election in 2020. No sale
Satisfying indeed.
I have long credited Sundance with this successful crushing of this would be Derp State plant.
Taking nothing away from Sundance, but I think this effort was doomed to fail, and would have failed, eventually even without Sundance’s efforts.
First of all, RDS is simply TOO fake, too scripted and sculpted to survive the scrutiny of a National campaign.
Secondly, they were relying far too much on PDJT going down, quickly as first the MAL raid, then the dropping of indictments caused his #’s to plummet, and MAGA, in a panic over “what do we do now? to turn its lonely eyes to Ron.
They bungled a # of important things; RDS no responce to MAL raid, the campaign world tour while denying he was campaigning, the legislature rescinding the resign to run law, the blocking access to his itinerary,..
In their plans, it wasn’t supposed to look like a blatant betrayal of PDJT, when Ron announced,..cause with PDJT’s #’s plummeting due to the lawfare, it was supposed to look like RDS was SAVING Maga,…a younger DJT, without any legal baggage, “Americas Governor”…
2-4 years ago, whoda thunk a politicians #’s would go UP upon being indicted,..and their insurance policy of MULTIPLE indictments, would backfire so spectacularly, with his #’s going up more with each indictment?
Sundance certainly started the avalanche going a lot sooner than it would have otherwise,…but I think RDS was going to crash and burn, it was inevitable.
“They bungled a # of important things; RDS no responce to MAL raid, the campaign world tour while denying he was campaigning, the legislature rescinding the resign to run law, the blocking access to his itinerary,”
Without Sundance’s explanation of those important things, most of us would have been fooled. I cannot think of another “conservative site” that reported on those things?
Treehouse is the only place to find my kind of thinking.
I think quite a few of us here were in shock at Sundances first astute observations….
Therefore this site is so valuable.
Thank you Sundance.
I, too, give Sundance all the credit for unmasking this fraud.
Team Work. Everyone has a role to play. All roles, in the end, are equally important.
Remember, President Trump was the one who first deployed the DeSanctimonious nickname.
Sundance shared research suggesting why President Trump made that choice.
Brenden Dilley @WarlordDilley, who created Trumps Online WarMachine; the Dilley Meme Team, began to systematically destroy Ron on Social Media.
The Dilley Show viewers, known as the Dilley 300, spread these Ron mocking memes far and wide. So did others, including Sundance. And President Trump.
Hopefully, every CTH reader will be inspired by Sundance, President Trump and Team Dilley to be FOCUSED and fearless doers rather than viewers of the doers during these final, last chance, days.
I admit to admiring RDS for his handling of Hurricane Ian but I thought it very strange when there was ZERO executive response to the Mar-a-Lago raid. For Pete’s sake, he’s the state’s governor (also a Harvard LS grad!). Even if he was a Democrat, even if he hated President Trump’s guts, he could have made a loud protest about the cheesy way the visit from the FBI was handled and how that was a danger to all Floridians’ civil liberties. He would have benefited from nationwide Republican dismay with that governmental overreach which would have helped him politically down the road. Now that I think about it, I wonder he received funds from the Sam Bankman-Fried $$$ largesse in 2020, some of which got spread around to certain Republicans?
With no comment from Ron, I think the Suspicious Cat in all of us went, “whoa, what gives?” He was tipped off to the raid and said ‘let it be’ without any complaint. How’d you like him next to you in a foxhole?
His respone to the storm is overrated. Any governor of a hurricane – prone state should do those things, it is not exceptional.
Resign to run needs to be the law of the land.
He did not have any successes. It was all an illusion. We had those same successes in Tennessee. The legislature got rid of CRT in our schools? The truth is CRT is still there under several different names. The schools are hiring more counselors to define more “at risk children and at risk families.” The kids can be given psychological treatment at the parents are not notified. The kids can be given drugs and the parents are not notified. Folks, as Sundance said it is going to get worse, a lot worse.
yep. I remembered some of the things he did during Covid, but it seemed over the top, advertised, and when you boiled it down — not as real as it initially seemed. Vaccination issues, medications, nursing home issues.
But he clearly missed many opportunities to help or support MAGA and Trump. Sundance was right
I live in Florida and am active in GOP politics. RdS has endorsed and appointed only RINO, establishment, developer-owned politicians to state and county positions. RdS is a fraud and we all know it and wish he’d just go away.
Those of us that live here AND followed him and politics closely, knew it all along.
I hope Matt Gaetz leaves that whore house and runs for Governor just like Ron did.
I’d say that’s all part of the plan. After 2024 TPTB won’t need an anti-Trump. I’ve been thinking Florida was allowed to “go Red” for this reason and now that it’s done, it’ll go back to swing if not lean Blue.
There are more than a million Republicans that have moved here the last five years. Won’t be that easy to go blue.
Perhaps there’s a bigger picture to see?
Perhaps, “this man”, lame duck Guv Ron, is not THE man in ” Florida pokitics” contrary to what Con Incs been telling its followers for the past 3 plus years?
Perhaps there’s a faaaar more influential Florida man named Don; the man Con Inc has encouraged their followers to disdain?
Perhaps notice the huge difference in polling results for the two Florida residents, Ron and Don. Compare the number of key Florida endorsements each has received. Note who has won each Florida state GOP primary procedural fight and who has lost all of them.
Or don’t.
After all, eeryone is free to choose whether they’ll use each present moment to be a dark hearted doomer or a Light Hearted doer.
However, hopefully, more and more people will choose to show their Gift Giver how thankful they are for each present by choosing to use their time beibg a Light Hearted helper doer.
Hopefully people will realize that in 348 DAYS their chances to help re elect President Trump will be GONE FOREVER.
Not to mention that he’s done nothing to purge election machines from Florida.
It’s GOP shenanigans.
That depends on whether or not there is a GOOD, Charismatic candidate on the Republican side. People should ALREADY ne looking for and recruiting such a candidate. And if they are not, THAT’s where the problem begins. TRY NOT TO LET THE RNC do the recruiting???
@Sundance? Any suggestions? It’s REALLY IMPORTANT and RELEVANT. (Wouldn’t it be GREAT is Sundance actually ran for Florida Governor?!!??!)
Agreed… Of course, most of our state politicians are just as worthless as Ronny.
Never name it “never back down.” When the campaign employees bail, you look really STUPID.
…
Should have named it: “HVAC unite, we got a snowball’s chance.” Thereafter, could’ve blamed it on global warming and rode the jet with Gore.
For the Republican Party/ Washington Generals’ game plan…
‘Always Back Down’ is very fitting.
Indeed.
Fail with flair.
The fans will eat it up.
Amazing the parrallel between this RDS campaign operation, and the “Support Ukraine as long as it takes” operation…actually aren’t the SAME people, involved with both?
I think so Dutch. The same people.
PUSHAW!
elaborate?
Yup… Plastic Tina.
Yes indeed!
I really like your post.
I love laughing with my first cup of coffee.
Funny stuff, thanks.
You won the internet!
Because these people have no loyalty to anything, they simply cannot understand voters who are loyal to President Trump. Apparently they think we’re just like them which is really insulting. This is why all of their plans and schemes fail. They don’t know their enemy at all.
Their objectives are very different than MAGA.
Poor Casey , she thought she had the BIG tiger by the tail but got saddled with the BIG jackass who’s going no where down the road..
Casey is as culpable as is Runt.
I have no sympathy for either of them.
Their future careers at Disney befit them well.
Who Can Forget The Greek Like Blue Gown,…..trying to emulate Melania. And wasn’t it her who suggested the Cowboy Boots? Their Optics were WAY OFF!
Having their wedding ceremony at Disney World would be prescient, then.
“BIG” is the operative word. She knew he wasn’t , hence the boots with lifts.
Good to hear “nowhere down the road”. It really pains me when I see comments talking about his future run for president it’s like they haven’s read anything posted here at CTH, which is probably the case, but you can’t know for sure.
I’m loving this!!
Kudos to our Sage, Sundance, who both sees and slays!
How Blessed we are.
It appears that we are past the point of enough honorable men, in positions of power, to fix this. I always have hope. I also see the reality of where we are. God does, too. WE are beset on all sides by the enemy. God sees this, also. Biblical times.
VV,
Recall what Gen Puller said about being beset by the enemy on all sides, and how that turned out.
Heck, you hardly have to aim!
I have heard some say we should pray for God’s help to keep our world going. I have heard others say we should pray for the end to come as many are suffering. I pray that God’s will be done.
Demonstrating once again, *utilizing one’s Scottish burr* , If it’s nae Trrrump, it’s crrrap.
Early SNL was always so funny!
Now it’s a disaster…
SNL has been on at least 20 years too long.
Too funny, indeed(smiling)
Never back down chair backs down…….hmmmmmm
“Florida man trapped on bus stuck in reverse”
Lol!
Resolved: Abide no puppets in any form.
Thanks for the insight, Sundance.
On the other hand, while not giving DeSantis any credit for his backroom plan for the presidential run, since 2018, he did make even sleazier Gavin Newsome look totally uncomfortable in that sham debate.
LOL Man proposes, but God disposes, isn’t it great how these things work out? De Santis makes a flailing attempt to seem presidential timber by debating the hair slick from California and falls completely flat. BUT he critically wounds the California Marxist by highlighting, unfiltered by the mouth breathing of media whoresons, exactly what Newsome and his leftist ilk have done to a once great state and what they would do to the rest of the country, given a chance.
If it weren’t so tragic, it would be amusing.
Ron! had a lot of help from the Republican run legislature and they over reached in some areas biggly.
When they passed a law that if you ran for President you didn’t have to resign being governor just for Ron! they lost me.
I have heard zip on who will be Trumps running mate. When does that speculation begin?
There is a rumor going around that he is favoring Ben Carson.
Don’t see Mr. Carson engaging a crowd like Trump, too mellow. Need someone who has stirred the pot and achieved results, not just talkers, wishful thinkers.
Not many out there like that. NC Lt Gov Mark Robinson maybe.
While Carson is a very honorable man with an impressive history in medicine, I don’t recall a single memorable outcome in his tenure as head of Housing and Urban Development.
That’s only because it wasn’t newsworthy to the leftist media. Before FaceBook became totally evil President Trump showed almost everything he was doing and saying, there. On one occasion he showed a White House meeting between Carson and another cabinet member where he praised them both for successfully implementing his polices in HUD and shared some of the successes from those policies.
Sorry I didn’t save all the everyday things I saw happening at the White House on FB, which included his overseas trips with pictures, speeches, daily remarks on relevant subjects in media and other things, meetings with American groups, like manufacturing CEO’s or the Young Black entrepreneurs and White House meetings with foreign leaders. This is why FB banned him. It was an unimaginable trove of information now lost to simple one or two line descriptions of his accomplishments, except of course here at CTH. Here we get further insight into many of the things President Trump accomplished and how he did it. I’m very grateful for that.
We need to write more about Carson. He grew up in the Ghetto and prospered by living american principles, encouraged by his mom. He and Candace Owen and many other conservative blacks have eloquently show how the U.S. Diversity “projects” are detrimental to the advancement of minorities.
The victim mentality, and fostering of jealousy and envy of the successful is detrimental to excellence.
Carson’s HUD projects promoted main street values and advancement of those willing to work, giving assistance without compromising standards.
Who wants a neurosurgeon operating on their child who was held to a lower standard? Who wants a Navy SEAL who can’t meet the performance standards of our elite warriors just so we can say we met quotas.
That would be Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson of North Carolina.
Bigger than life black man: Christian and American patriot.
Fiery speaker. He has the same dynamic presence as President Trump.
Agreed!
Low energy. I think our real President Donald J. Trump recognizes that first in anyone.
Yes… 😉 It’s a rumor, but I am fairly sure it will not be Dr. Carson. Trump is mercurial enough that one takes a risk hedging bets beyond a day, but if the pick were being made today, I am confident that it would not be Carson.
I did see his remarks about Dr. Carson and I think what he said was a way to thank Carson for his friendship and praise him for his hard work at HUD, more than a consideration for him as V.P. Trump knows just how to word things, to do that.
Sorry can’t find the link to his actual words but that is what I thought when I heard what he said.
All he had to do was hold off until 2028, back Trump to the hilt and continue on with his great management of Florida and he would have been a shoe-in for the 2028 Presidency….But no, being the opportunist that he apparently is and listening to the republican Rinos convince him he could beat Trump…. He’s now comical history, like Mike Dukakis with his head poking out a tank with his helmet tilted sideways like a regular GI Joe (Not)….To Desantis I say, bye, bye and buy bonds.
But his “ great management “ of Florida was not genuine. It was all pretending for a short while so he had a “reputation to sell”.
His boots will never be forgotten.
“These boots are made for walkin” … all the way back to Florida 😂😂
In the same way as with Dukakis wearing the Tank Commander’s Helmet.
I have been worked in Florida Politics since Clinton. The next election the Dems will win.DeSantis and the state house has ruined Florida. Local Act Low affordable housing,Insurance sky high, over develpoment, water problems ,polution, and much more.At the Local REC meeting people screaming at the elected officials they will not get there vote with exception of left over rino elites from Bush. Local commissioners are all in for the money and care nothing about the quality of life for there citizens, non for profits has con game going ,Chamber another pal of the government, and now illegals everywhere. My advice get hell out Florida. As one senior staffer for a FL US Senator told me DeSantis has ruined Florida! No kidding
English would help.
That’s not true at all, we are more resolved down here to never let this happen again. America First candidates, no more “the lesser of two evils.”
In fact the legislators by repealing the “Resign to Run Law “did us all a big favor. Some predicted once the rest of the country saw him up close and personal Meatball was toast.
When legislators repealed Resign To Run Law, it had me thinking they knew he would be back without grabbing the brass ring. Bless his heart.
So the chairman of Never Back Down, has backed down. Gee, let me guess: the checks stopped clearing?
The Ted Cruz angle is very very good information. Thank you, Sundance.
May Ron Boy follow suit and submit his resignation as Governor of Florida, a responsibility that he has abdicated.
TRUMP 2024 .
(Period)
Sell Out Ron’s chances aren’t looking so good. Plan B Haley is next.
“Well, I know what’s right
I got just one life
In a world that keeps on pushin’ me around
But I’ll stand my ground
And I won’t back down”
–lyrics from Gainesville native Tom Petty’s ‘I Won’t Back Down’
It was great in a song but I thought it was totally stupid as a presidential candidates slogan. He then made himself a laughing stock to conservatives by constantly backing down from what we really wanted and then pretending he hadn’t.
.
Uh. The Tom Petty song is not ‘never back down’.
Rather it appears the Ron-duh campaign tried to pilfer off of it, which I doubt the Petty estate approves.
After all, he is the artist who penned ‘The Last DJ’ . . .
Better count the silverware.
I guess the days of cucumber sandwiches and big paydays for these leeches has come to an end.
These elites that believe we are serfs to them, ran right into the curled fist of stiff right hook of MAGA.
These boys, yes I mean boys have just been evicted from the tracks by the brush guard of the High Speed Train of Maga.
It will not be long now before Hi-Lift Desanctimus is knocked into the ditch of worthless politicians.
I have a different take on DeSantis.
Yes, I agree he destroyed his career.
But prior to that he was an excellent exec from what I could see. And that was his Achilles heel.
He caught the eye of the desperate Establishment Elite as represented by the Bushes, Romneys (including Ronna) who were fighting to get back in charge of the GOP after they sabotaged Trump.
So they courted and wooed him. He wasn’t strong enough to reject them so now they are kicking him to the curb and putting their fat cat bucks behink Nikki Hallery, who, like Ron did initially, is rising in the polls among those who probably won’t vote Repub anyway.
They are counting on the Dems doing their dirty work (putting Trump in jail) and Repub wusses doing what we always do…voting for the establishment Hallery so they get get back in charge.
I don’t know whether they will fool the GOP base yet again by screwing MAGA as they did Tea Party, but I do know this is one Repub voter who has had enough of GOP grandees who are no different from the Democrats in screwing over the middle and working class.
I not only won’t ever vote for Jeb in a skirt Hallery, I am not voting for my useless House Rep and I don’t care if the Dems take over because of her loss. What have we gained by having the majority? The Dems pull the strings anyway.
We need a new party. It is time. We keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Insanity!
They don’t need our money. They have the Kochs and other fat cat donors. But they do need our votes. Deny them those. Sometimes you have to throw yourself on the hand grenade to save your buddies.
Agreed.
I’ve long been an advocate of the base tactically nuking (what I’ve referred to as “Vichy Republicans”). For example, Kentucky voters crossing-over to the Dems to takeout Mitch McConnell … and in other states, his posse (Cornyn, etc.).
The UniParty maneuvering us into holding our noses and voting “lesser of two evils” has brought us to this existential crisis for our country. Better to have a minority of warriors than a majority of UniParty.
Like you, I won’t vote for a “Hallery.” I’ll write-in “Donald J. Trump” even if he’s not the nominee or even if, GOD FORBID, they JFK him. It’ll my my way of giving an electoral middle-finger to them all.
Tom Wigand (“American Discerner” on Substack)
Voting for Cornell West, Jill Stein or RFK Jr rather than Trump in 348 days, if they manage to get on your states ballot?
Obviously, those who support President Trump, are working to re elect him and will be voting to return him to the White House will give President Trump the help he’s asked for:
Retain a Republican majority in the HOUSE even if that means voting for an imperfect R in the general. This gives President Trump IMPEACHMENT PROTECTION. A D controlled House means constant investigations and impeachments.
Gain a Republcan majority in the SENATE even if that means voting for an imperfect R in the general. This gives President Trump Impeachment Conviction and Removal Protection. Plus it gives him the chance to get federal judges and SCOTUS justices hired.
Chess rather than tic tac toe.
😂🤣😂🤣 MAGA!! 👊👊🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
Steve Deace may be looking for a bigger grift, time for DeSantis to try that long shot.
Last week the Chief Executive Officer of the DeSantis “Never Back Down” super PAC, Chris Jankowski, backed down and quit.
That there is funny!
Poor meatball 😀
Since Ron plus all his steadfast enablers and supporters have been living in and promoting a self created delusion, the impact with the wall of reality is going to have unpleasant consequences for all involved notwithstanding the resulting collateral damage. Unfortunately for Ron, in the tunnel vision pursuit of his aspiration to become POTUS, his ego over shadowed his self introspection that he had neither the persona or skill sets necessary for the position he was aiming for. In fact, with every public appearance his demeanor and rhetoric confirmed the aforementioned. In closing, Ron needs to shut down his embarrassing antics ASAP, serve out his term as FL Governor as promised in a manner that gains him some degree of respect and integrity and then disappear off the political grid. He’s not DJT/MAGA material.
That loud sound you hear is Gov Kim Reynolds banging her head against the wall. Surely she was promised the VP spot. You chose wrong Kimmy.
I say we are still seeing the fallout from paying off the “preacher”.
So, will GOPEE attempt to place their Pres pic the way FLA Dems just did?
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/12/01/florida-democrats-cancel-primary-election-biden-handed-delegates/
These resignations are happening with the realization that they will not have a govt job with Ron losing.
He’s not backing away he’s running towards the light. When he arrives home to “spend more time with his family” the kids will say “Mom there’s a stranger at the door.”
Can’t imagine a parent taking precious time away from the family to go pimping for a cheap politician, an ungrateful one at that.
But who will run Jill Casey’s aka Walmart Barbie’s campaign for Governor next up?
BTW, Adam probably has to run home so he can begin his own next campaign.
He needs to begin his own next failed campaign. Guy has been something of a perennial loser in Nevada.
As disappointing as it is to realize DeSantis was not what I thought he was….
I’m just glad we got to see the real DeSantis before he was pushed on us as our best hope for 2028.
Great point!
Tom Wigand (“American Discerner” on Substack)
another one bites the dust
Much like Icarus, he flew too close to the sun.
So the maga Never Back Down guy backed down from Demi Donald Ronald’s campaign, hummm.
Just like Donald’s Never Surrender whine ended up with him surrendering.
Since when has it been – “Iowa’s make-or-break presidential caucuses”? Iowa winner is almost never the nominee.
Take a look at the last 3 GOP preezy candidates that won the Hawkeye Cauci: Santorum, Huckabee and Cruz.
Maybe, just maybe, Laxalt will comprehend now the days for RINO fake-out are long past. Comprehend the crisis upon us.
Didn’t we try to get him elected to something in NV and big surprise, that election was stolen as usual?
He needs to repent of his Uniparty sins and turn to MAGA.
MAGA is charitable to forgive and allow redemption of such vile scoundrels.
But it must be true repentance and honest turning from establishment darkness to the MAGA light.
I suspect Ted Cruz will be back on the presidential campaign trail in 2028: his daughters then will be in or past college aNd it will be easier on the family. Perhaps the same for Desantis in a different cycle bc his family is young also.
Sundance does not do “headlines” even when they are obvious.
“Never Back Down Leader Backs Down”
How hard was that? And reply here if you can think of better ones? I know there are better ones out there but this is one that popped right into my head.
OK, already a better one (in my head):
“Never Back Down Leader Does”
I never get tired of hearing how the candidates who have challenged President Trump, the support teams that have pushed these candidates, and the billionaires who have been funding the anti-Trump campaigns are withering and fading out.
Especially Ron DeSantis’ presidential aspirations because those who supported him, lied about him, and covered up were so nasty to Trump supporters.
yes, it is affirmation that We the People still really do have a significant amount of power, and a call to step it up bigly — as Sundance is encouraging us to do
I guess he backed down….Ha Ha Ha
