When I was looking through guitar posts for tonight’s music, I kept coming back to Karlijn Langendijk’s performance from a few months ago. What grabbed my attention was the beauty of her personal compositions. Most virtuosos don’t compose their own music but those who do compose and then perform their own music are a very special class of guitar performer.
As you know, I usually, like to keep a certain “grace period” between music posts so as not to let otherwise excellent music to seem “overplayed”.
Sometimes, however, the ‘picker’ in me so enjoys someone’s playing that I think they deserve another listen. I think Karlijn’s splendid playing and her wonderful very personal compositions deserve another listen . . . A Siccas suggests: “Take a seat, turn on your high-quality sound system, and enjoy this performance!”

Recovering from a bad cold . . . getting a good night’s sleep is a rare thing. I “almost” did—solid sleep until 6am coughing spasm. A good friend had this exact cold a couple of years ago. He ended up in the hospital. Fortunately “extreme” day and night cough remedies have worked well. Still tired (going back to bed in a bit) but on the downside. Yuck.

Israel Update:
Below are the Israelis who were released on the last round.
-10 were back from Gaza. 9 are older women and one teenager girl. Also 2 Thai men.
-The Head of Mossad is in Qatar with the Head of CIA and Head of Egyptian Intelligence and The leader of Qatar. Negotiating on more hostage release deals. Israel insists on completing the phase of women and children. There are 9 more children/teenagers. Apparently men and soldiers are also negotiated about. Note: I am sure that there is an attempt to release everyone for ending the war and releasing the worst terrorists. Such a deal will be a surrender of Israel and will be an existential risk for Israel. Such a deal will collapse the Israeli government and I don’t believe it will happen.
-Hamas gives a new list of Israelis to be released. I don’t know how many and who. It will probably be published soon.
-Israeli War cabinet is meeting after the Mossad Chief negotiated in Qatar. Note: There are critical decisions to be made and I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes.
-We find out that Hamas kidnapped the bodies of three Israeli soldiers. This adds to two that they are holding now for many years.
-Reports of abuse of the children in capture. I don’t have it all yet but we know that the 12 year old was forced to watch Hamas murder atrocities and we know that crying children were threatened with guns to stop crying. There was some physical abuse too. I will follow up. It’s still premature. Abygail the 4 year old was whispering with her father, the was forced to whisper in captivity. When asked how long she was in captivity she said “a year”.
-US Officials: “The US opposes mass evacuation of Gazans from the South like was done at the North.” “The Biden’s Administration will not allow it to be like was done in the North”.
“Israel should take the lessons from the first part of the war and not start acting until it secures safe zones for Gazans. “. The US wants to significantly expand the safe zones. They are saying that the humanitarian network will not be able to deal with another mass move of Gazans. The US is also against migration of Gazans out of the Gaza area. “Some will be unavoidable” but not intentional plan to do so. “.
-Biden twitted: “To continue the way of terror,violence and killing and war is to give Hamas what they want. We can’t do it.”
“Hamas started this attack because it afraid that Palestinians and Israelis will live side by side”. Note: He is starting to signal he doesn’t want Israel to finish the job. This is very evil because it is an existential threat to Israel.
He is pushing Israel to a corner. He is also signaling that we can’t bomb enough before we move in with Infantry which could mean hundreds of our soldiers die. I do not know the extent of dependency of Israel. But we do get munitions when we run low. If that is the case it’s another preparation failure. I will guess he is trying to push a total exchange of hostages for ending the war. This is all a direct collision with Israel. He is really trying to mess things up. He may miss the point but nobody in Israel is going to stop this war with Hamas still in control of Gaza. Anyone stopping this war will be ashamed to even ever walk on Israeli streets not to mention politics. It is going to be a tough decision. If we can get everyone home, it will be very hard to say “no”.
Here is what I guess will happen: Israel will try to get all the children and women in the next couple of days. If we can’t, the war will resume. I see indications that they are going to go wider and faster and very aggressive on more than one fronts. The Defense Minister suggested it. We will get a lot of international pressure but it will end faster than expected.
I think it will be a few weeks and Israel will be on top of the Hamas Leadership in Han Yunis (South Gaza). Then there is a long process to locate and clear tunnels and deal with emerging terrorists. But we will be in a position that we control the ventilation of the tunnels and at which point there will be a deal of all Israeli hostages out in exchange for Hamas leaders move to Qatar or anywhere. Then it becomes a Mossad business to eliminate them over the next few years. They know how to do it. Israel will never sacrifice its captured soldiers, it’s against our moral codes. After children we love the soldiers the most.
-American Humanitarian aide will increase to Gaza. Three US airplanes will land with more Aide. This Aide will be delivered by the UN. So far they had 800 tracks of aide arrive total. The US so far delivered aide in 100 Million dollars. The White House are saying that it’s under budgeted and only 21% of what is needed is allocated. The US is calling the International community to help.
Note: So today I watched the video of the Israeli hostages in Gaza going into the hands of the Red Cross. There are large crowds. All are hostile to the hostages and are clearly pro Hamas. The day before, one of the Israelis who was released said that he managed to escape capture for a few days and the Gazans turned him back in.
Biden is clearly missing that in Gaza most of the people are Hamas, either supporters or employees or soldiers, both UNRWA and TV and Hospitals are all under the Hamas network. I saw the release of Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank and its all green Hamas Flags. And those were not Hamas prisoners who were released. They are becoming more and more popular in the West Bank following the ‘successful” massacre.
The Arabs are very rich. Why do the US have to pay for humanitarian aide. Trump would have never acted like this. The Gazans hate the US. They celebrated 9/11, What’s the point? Israel must crush the Hamas at all costs or it is a real bloody mess to come. I said before that it is a matter of time before Biden turns on Israel. He already did.
Note: The way the Biden Administration is telling Israel what to do and pushing a liberal agenda that will endanger the survival of Israel is unacceptable and in my opinion is another mistake that Bibi made aside from letting Hamas grow, he let Biden be involved too close. If Israel is dependent on US munitions it is also a failure in preparations and will be a part of an overall investigation. Note that Israelis will not agree to let Hamas stay in Gaza and in any control. Any surrender will be a termination of the political career of the involved. The leadership knows it. It is the voice of the people wherever you go. They hear it daily.
-So far 61 Israelis were released and 19 Thais, 1 Philippine. This was in five release cycles.
9 children and teenagers are still in Gaza. This includes the baby Kfir and his 4 year old brother and the mother. 53 days of captivity so far. 2 of the teenagers are Muslims Arabs from South of Israel. Muslims were also tortured and murdered along with Israelis. One is on video and they knew he was an Arab Israeli and didn’t care. See below those who are not released yet.
-The G7 of the seven leading nations said that they “support extending the agreement of Israel / Hamas regarding the pause. In which time humanitarian aide will be expanded and an immediate release of all hostages will be done. They support the right of Israel to defend itself and at the same time protecting the not involved.”

It is hard to tell which party, Hamas or the Biden administration, is the most dangerous to Israel. I have always supported/admired Bibi and hope he is able to stay as PM. I read so much criticism of Bibi and wonder if those who are politically opposed to him are the source, or if the criticism is justified. Any insight on who is a knowledgable source is appreciated.
Bibi is not someone which you can analyze from one source. Everyone has a different opinion. So whoever I provide will say something else. The closest to me would probably be Caroline Glick. But I don’t know what she is saying about Bibi specifically.
Bibi have pluses and minuses. It will take me a long time to put it together. But you gave me a good area to cover. I think I will take the time and do it for everyone. Right now it is depending on results. If he holds position and get the results of the war or not. But the Israeli right has an upset with him so the only way to change it would be a very good handling of this war. So far he gives Biden too much control. Maybe it’s necessary but it’s only acceptable so long as we don’t get a tactical change on the battlefield and dead soldiers as a result and as long as we achieve the stated outcome we want.

I haven’t seen the most recent Caroline Glick video. But in a recent one she said that Netanyahu is no Gurian. Because Gurian had said no when he needed to.
She has also said as a general comment about the Israeli politicians – the people are better than those who represent them. And I actually think this is true in many of our countries at the moment.
As for my personal opinion – I used to love Bibi. He was excellent at defence and diplomacy and more. But what he did in covid was beyond unacceptable. I always wondered if he was either stupid or compromised. Both are bad. And because of this, I cannot trust him going forward.
I will need a lot of time. But I promise to cover him adequately. He is a very complex figure with many sides.
He is not stupid for sure. Israel was used as a laboratory for Pfizer. It was Bibi who originated it.
But this is just an indicator for deeper aspects of who he is. I don’t pretend to know it all but I am sure that
I have more information because the US media is a PR stage for Bibi so you don’t see everyone.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

This, in turn, means that more moisture remains in the soil and has been partially credited with a global decline in wildfire. This phenomenon was confirmed through research published in 2003, where the water-use efficiency of sour orange trees exposed to CO2 concentrations of 700 ppm increased by 80% compared to those exposed to ambient air.
It was refreshing to see actual numbers on how good CO2 is for plants.

Children and families deserve better at the Christmas Holidays than this mindless garbage. There are many older films that will delight Children more, and bring back a little of the magical, joyous atmosphere of Christmas. Some are classics like ‘A Christmas Carol’ . and here is a one that will please children, set in 1930’s England, a little magic, a little fun, and some suspense and excitement, for children to enjoy. It comes in a few episodes, so make sure you have them all. and the special effects are simple and child-like, but understandable none-the-less. Christianity is not ignored in this movie.
