Esteemed Treeper Cactus, our city just had Dr. Douglas Frank speak about the electronic voting machines and how we can, at the local level, take back control of our voter rolls and elections.
This man, as you may know, is internationally recognized for his work in physics, knows electronics of every kind like the back of his hand, and has an IQ that is well above 160. And … he is a genuinely likable guy who takes $0 for his work of speaking all over the country to help regular citizens regain transparency in their elections, which he has been doing now for years.
My point! I brought up the Jay Valentine fractal poll book software, that is supposed to use property tax data to instantly update poll books, to Dr. Frank. He said Valentine is a fraud and a con man! He said he examined the purported software, and he is more than qualified to do so. Valentine has got nothing and is running a long con. His “fractal software” seems to exist only on one laptop.
After examining what Valentine was claiming, Dr. Frank advised Mike Lindell to drop Jay Valentine and have nothing to do with him. I was shocked to hear this, Valentine had written convincing articles.
The fact is, we must have paper poll books. This can work when we vote by precincts with 3000-5000 people in them.
The most important concept I came away with from Dr. Frank’s talk was this: the moment a ballot or any information really is DIGITIZED is the moment we lose control of it. When it is digitized, we cannot say exactly where it goes, who knows it, or how it will be manipulated.
Valentine’s “software” con ties us once again to digitizing information that can only be secure when it is recorded on paper. Digitization is the moment when we lose control of that information.
Who would be ok with the title of their house existing only as a digital record? How about your birth certificate? No, we will all insist on paper documents for such records. Our vote is even more valuable than those documents!
The people of Venezuela and Brazil, I assure you, did not vote for socialism. Their governments were taken over by electronic fraud. We do have time to act. The Netherlands was able to re-tool their elections to get rid of machines and go to paper ballots in 5 months.
You still wind up at some point using tabulating equipment to count the votes. There is then always the opportunity for fraud.
Valentine’s computing techniques and subsequent findings are valid, and would remain so even if armies of human counters were employed. Fraud produces distinct and detectable patterns in data. Employing those armies of human counters would not remove all opportunities for mischief.
So often, the unattainable perfect becomes the enemy of the good.
There is no need of any tabulating equipment beyond hand-held calculators, when your neighbors who you know and can observe are doing the work of counting ballots that never leave the polling place.
Also, video of the count, modeled on the cameras in casinos, becomes a powerful deterrent to fraud. This video record also serves as an instant audit.
It is not difficult at all to show that poll books are dirty. This is not a new discovery.
How do you know the Valentine software is reliable? Showing that poll books are dirty is a trivial task, not a technological breakthrough.
So you employ “hand-held calculators.” At some point you are going to total them up – millions of them. And, somewhere in that handling, you will use computers.
You need therefore to build audits and cross-checks to make fraud more difficult. And you still need to look for patterns(!) in the aggregate data, no matter how it was collected or aggregated.
Valentine’s high-speed high-volume methods ARE valid, and they are not secret. He will tell you everything if you ask. There is no “security by obscurity.”
You have two people each totaling a big batch.
One person a left wing socialist, the other a right wing MAGA.
Totals should match or you start over with count of that batch. 🙂

There are so many beautiful stories about what Trump has done for others. I see people make things up because Trump may have hurt their little feelings. President Trump is sincere.

In a surprise outcome, Massa conceded in a speech to supporters in Buenos Aires on Sunday even before the official results were released, saying he called Milei to congratulate him on his victory.
Javier Milei, a 53-year-old far-right economist and former television pundit with no governing experience, claimed nearly 56 percent of the vote, with more than 80 percent of votes tallied. It was a stunning upset over Sergio Massa, the center-left economy minister who has struggled to resolve the country’s worst economic crisis in two decades.
Voters in this nation of 46 million demanded a drastic change from a government that has sent the peso tumbling, inflation skyrocketing and more than 40 percent of the population into poverty. And with Milei, Argentina takes a leap into the unknown — with a leader promising to shatter the entire system, which the locals now correctly realize, is broken.
Milei, who two months ago was interviewed by Tucker Carlson, has promised to fix Argentina’s perennial economic problems by making drastic budget cuts, replacing the battered peso with the US dollar and shutting down the central bank. He will take office on Dec. 10.

Concerning “endless war,” lethal conflicts over religion, hubris, exceptionalism, decline of nation-states, and other such items rising today…
The 30 Years’ War – a complex affair which involved most of continental Western Europe including Denmark and Sweden (England did occasionally meddle in it) – involved two men of interest, one whom you will probably recognize, the other being less likely. It involved conflicts of Catholic versus Protestant, peasants versus aristocrats, and France attempting to thwart the Catholic Habsburg/Holy Roman Empire from surrounding and dominating it.
Caveat: The following is greatly simplified, but you will see that “Lessons for Today” can be derived from it.
Albrecht von Wallenstein was a Bohemian prince in the Holy Roman Empire. The conflict began in Prague, and so he was involved very early in the first phase of the war.
One aspect of the war is that it was a civil/religious war of (mostly German) Catholics against (mostly German) Protestants, but that was only one.
Cardinal Richelieu, in charge of France de facto (he was the main adviser to the queen mother, regent for the child-king Louis XIII), saw an opportunity to weaken the Habsburg Empire by supporting the Protestant side and Protestant nations willing to do the same, perhaps by direct intervention (Denmark and Sweden).
And so French money began to pour into the conflict to prevent a Catholic Habsburg victory.
Wallenstein won a good number of victories, but as the war reached a stalemate, he realized that the war was not worth it, and against the emperor’s wishes he opened up secret negotiations to end the conflict.
France had earlier learned the lesson that a civil war about religion simply devoured the nation from within. King Henry IV, switching sides in the later 1500’s from Protestant to Catholic, was able to end a seemingly “endless war.”
Richelieu grew up in the aftermath of this hostile, destructive atmosphere, which had led to French intellectuals and others of the French elites that France was a in a decline. Richelieu and others wanted to reverse this decline and proceeded to take measures to do so. One aspect was the assertion of “French exceptionalism,” i.e. that France had a unique Roman and Celto-Germanic heritage indicating that it should be a leader of allies (weaker allies like Denmark and Sweden), and a leader culturally, but not (necessarily) an empire.
And so, “covert warfare” was one of the hallmarks of Cardinal Richelieu’s foreign policy: keep your enemy fighting somewhere somehow to exhaust him. This was successful for most of the war in Central Europe. Only toward the end did the French send in troops to provide support to the princes and others revolting against the Catholic emperor.
You will note that this Catholic cardinal was a French nationalist first: his membership in the Catholic Church as a cardinal did not seem to interfere with his political decisions most of the time.
In the meantime, the hubris of the Habsburg emperor, who wanted to re-Catholicize Central Europe for his own power, led him to assassinate Wallenstein, his own general, for daring to seek peace with the Protestants and their foreign allies.
Central Europe would therefore need 30 years (1618-1648) to learn the lesson that religious wars are worthless, and that religious toleration (as in France’s Edict of Nantes under Henry IV) was the proper road to follow.
And so, we see that one of the “laws” of warfare is that – at some point – it becomes absurd to keep fighting. Usually that absurdity is massive loss of population, massive economic loss, or both.
However, warfare can pay! In earlier days it paid by the booty and land taken from the conquered area.
Today, we see a variation on a theme: warfare pays, but not for the nation states! It pays for the global elites who profit from the companies selling armaments and other types of support for the fighting.
We see precisely the situation warned of famously by President Eisenhower: a military-industrial complex whose raison d’être depends on the existence of warfare on a consistent basis. True, a profit can be made from the threat of warfare and the constant need for vigilance and advancement in defense.
However, actual warfare can bring them much more profit.
The lessons of The Thirty Years’ War have not been learned by the modern Islamic forces, still living in the medieval fog of a World Caliphate and the extinction of other religions. “The religion of peace” might have peaceful adherents, but they seem to be a minority.
The hubris of our elites, the religious fanaticism, the cool calculations of certain heads of state, the bankrupting and destruction of nations, nationalism versus internationalism, all of this has happened before in similar ways in Central Europe in The Thirty Years’ War.
In fact, America benefited from it: in the later 1600’s, the aftermath of the destruction was still so widespread, and the desire for religious freedom so great, that many Germans packed up and came to America, beginning in 1683.
That America is now perhaps repeating the same mistakes 360 years later shows a sad lack of historical knowledge among our leaders, or, if they are aware of it, a sad hubris making them think they are immune to the consequences of their hubris!
Earlier I recommended a history of The 30 Years’ War by British historian C.V. Wedgwood. She also wrote an excellent biography of Wallenstein.

Mavis Christian Jr murdered four female relatives, including a teen, and critically injured another. He then killed himself. It’s a gun-grabber narrative that one would expect to make national news, but there is currently radio silence.
The murderer was a Black man with a rap sheet that dates back to 1996. Laws, if enforced, would have prevented him from owning the firearm he used to shoot women and girls. Therefore, it’s not a story that most in corporate media will want to cover.

I greatly appreciated Dr Kory’s leadership during C0v1d but he himself has admitted that he was (and possibly still is?) a hard leftist who read the NYT religiously and happily voted for Brandon…so, while I cannot argue with him as a medical expert, I absolutely believe that he has a bias in this case that even he may not be willing to acknowledge. There are several other medical experts who have testified that the death of George Floyd was caused by an enlarged heart and the drugs he ingested that day.
As the poison fruit of the BLM tree continues to be revealed, I hope that Dr. Kory will reexamine the evidence and recognize that he, perhaps, came into the case with a bias that affected his judgment.
There were so many emotions involved all the way around regarding that day and I believe that millions of people were manipulated into thinking things that, as time has gone on, were clearly not true!

A Political Earthquake

I doubted it could happen, but it did.
After decades of socialism — all failed, with insane inflation rates, a full-on collapse that led to wild violence both political and between citizens and more — Argentina has had enough of it.
Argentinians have elected as their next president Javier Milei, a self-described anarcho-capitalist whose sensational rhetoric has drawn comparisons to former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Partial election results showed Milei had 55.8% and Massa 44.2%, with 95% of the votes tallies. Should that margin hold, it would be wider than predicted by all polls and the widest since Argentina’s return to democracy in 1983.
I’m relying on translations, which of course can be fraught with risk — but the positions Milei has taken were clear.
No more handouts.
No more deficit spending to try to “redistribute.” You want something you will pay taxes for it first. If you won’t pay, you won’t get, and the government will massively shrink in size as a result.
No open immigration, or open anything for that matter. Argentina and her people first, period.
We’ll see. Its easy to say all this but hard to do.
Nonetheless that the people have been willing to at least in theory walk off from the disaster and attempt to resolve it is a promising sign. Argentina has a lot of natural resources; with reasonable government policies there is no reason to believe they should not be able to have a good degree of prosperity — but not equal results for all, which always ends in failure.
Is it dawn — not in America, but for a nation that has been plagued with government malfeasance and disaster for decades?
We shall see.
