Taking Chris’s 2006 car in for diagnosis of a sudden whine. He is really frustrated that what he could have repaired it a few years ago would probably sap him now. His knowledge of all things mechanical is encyclopedic. I said frustrated…what I meant is P.O.-ed. I’ve told him to let it go…but as he accepts advice like that as a challenge, it’s not easy. I understand Chris’ frustration very well, dear sister. I’ve had a few months of having to really pace myself and only recently am getting back up to full speed.
Yes…I think he must have been an ornery child. Tell, or request, that he not do something guarantees the opposite. He has recovered remarkably. So much so that he has cut his inhaler down to one dose instead of two twice a day. Next up cutting it down to once a day to see if he will do as well. He just went to WM for me to get a thirty pound bag of cat food. Hauled it out and in and wasn’t even breathing hard. Just a matter of not pressing his luck at this point. In fact looking at him now one wouldn’t think he was in dire physical straits in April… Much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving 🙏🏻💕

-Various reports of an upcoming hostage release deal tomorrow. The problem is that Israel did not confirm. Israel did confirm that the negotiations are back on. So I will believe it when I see it. I will pray for it. Let them out!
-Massive bombardments around the Indonesian hospital in the North of Gaza. I mentioned that hospitals are Hamas’s favorite places to have major tunnels and command centers.
-Two more names of fallen Israeli soldiers published. As a note every time that I say “fallen soldiers” there are about the same number or more who are badly injured. I am having a hard time finding the total for the ground invasion but it’s around 60-70 who lost their life. Sad.
-Macron: We will deliver medical supplies to Gaza. 10 tones of medical supplies. They are also getting 50 injured children to be treated in France. He is also saying that they are working on the hostage release with a stress on the 8 French hostages.
Note: Why does he take only 50 children if he cares so much? I think the answer is obvious.
-790 people with dual or foreign citizenship left Gaza today. 50 trucks with medical supplies, food and water, blankets and tents entered Gaza today.
-Hacker attacks on Israelis by Hamas supporters. Published millions of names and email addresses and other information. Part was taken from the state’s archives and some from shopping sites.
-The most popular newspaper in Norway published that “Israel started the war in 10/7”.
The paper’s name is Dagbladet. The paper says that Israel started the war and is executing civilians in the humanitarian corridors.” Israeli Ambassador called it a “Blood Libel”.
Note: I see too much of this kind of blood libels. I wonder if there can be an organization that sue those people. Trump also had many lies published on him and couldn’t sue anyone so I don’t know if it’s workable. I am not a lawyer.
-A failed terror attack in the West Bank. Shooting at an Israeli car. Luckily no injuries. IDF is looking for the terrorists. Note:I am in a social media group in which I get daily lists of all the Palestinian violence against Jews every day in the West Bank. Today for example there were about 12 Incidents. From rocks on driving cars to nails on the road to shooting. This is just another typical list of the day. I wouldn’t bother you with the whole list to keep it short.
My point is that the Biden’s Administration and him himself are obsessed with the “settlers violence” that is almost none existent. The Jews don’t try to kill Arabs. All the lists that I have daily are attempts to kill. Whether by stones at moving cars or lasers at the eyes of drivers, or actual shootings. There were a handful of Jews’ serious violent incidents in a space of a few years. Not daily.
-The IDF released footage of Hamas violently forcing a hostage through Shifa hospital.
Then another video of a hostage with a missing leg with Hamas taken through in the hospital. Some Shifa staff are watching and some participating.
The IDF Speaker is saying that the Israeli female solider who was shown in a previous Hamas video talking and later “dead because of an Israeli bombs”, was injured but not too bad and the cause of death was a murder in the hospital.
-A Senior Iranian told Arab media that if Israel will not stop then the attacks on Israel will expand in other areas. “It will determine the future of Israel.”
-Yemen Houthis took over a ship that they say is Israeli. They took 22 hostages. The ship was transporting cars from Turkey to India and was chartered by an Israeli and a none Israeli partner. The kidnapped are not Israelis. The ship is not Israeli.
-The Shabak (spy agency) together with Military intelligence took some 100 terrorists for Interrogations in Israel. Three actually participated in the 10/7 attack.
The terrorists provided a lot of information related to tunnel locations, weapons locations, ways of operation and other information that can help the ground forces and Air Force.
Note: An Interrogation in a Shabak basement is “not fun”.
-The Senior UN Official over Human Rights is saying that killing of people in schools and evacuating hospitals are violations of international law.
Note: It’s not true. Any place that is serving as a military or terror position is exempt from International Law protection.
Note: It is my opinion that a new UN should be created that accepts only democracies and free societies. Having nations like China and N. Korea having a platform from which they can influence World societies is wrong. The NY Complex of the UN is a prime real estate. I say “sell it and use the money for border control or something valuable.” LOL.
-Netanyahu had a long talk with Macron. Went over the war etc…
Note: Bibi is spending time on World leaders to keep them understand what is going on and keep the legitimacy of the war in existence. Basically making a political umbrella for the IDF to keep going.
-A drone from Lebanon was shot down. Then the IAF (Air Force) attacked targets in Lebanon.
-After the Houthis from Yemen took over a ship they now threaten that no Israeli ships will be permitted to pass the Red Sea.” They said that “any Israeli Ship is a legitimate target.”
Note: Israel has not attacked them yet but I have a feeling that it’s coming.
I think that if Israel sinks one Iranian Oil tanker all of a sudden the Hootchies will go back to their “holes”.
-Israeli Defense Minister :”Since the beginning of the war Hezbollah fired at Israel more than 1000 munitions. But it received much greater damages.” “They are paying a high price daily.”
“In the West Bank many terror attacks are prevented daily by the IDF and Shabak.”
-The Palestinian Authority issued an official statement that denies that Hamas committed the massacre in the Nova Festival. They claim that Israeli helicopters caused the massacre, at least 350 of them died. They used the ultra liberal Israeli paper (Haarez) that published that a “few Israelis were hurt by a helicopter.” Not “all”. There is a lot of footage showing this massacre. Plenty. This caused a lot of anger in Israel. Even Bibi makes a special press conference and attacks the Palestinian Authority. Note : The leader of the Authority, Abbas, did a PHD work that was a Holocaust denying work. So now the Holocaust denier is denying the 10/7. One must be very antisemite to behave like this. In Israel we started calling them “Nazis”, the Hamas and other genocidal type groups.
-The IDF published a sketch of the Shifa hospital with what it had. A tunnel leading to underground spaces. The spaces were for managing warfare and not just hiding places.
Note: They are not done. More will be found.
-The center of Israel around the Tel Aviv area is opening the schools.
-The past weeks showed the Israeli spirit of charity and volunteering.
The usual platforms were not enough so a new fund was formed.
It is called “Together We Will Win” (this is a very common slogan since the war began).
This is headed by an ex-Commander of the Air-force and has a comity of very high caliber people like judges, religious leaders, etc that distributes the funds to were it’s needed the most. Basically instead of having “a million” funds and initiatives and creating confusion the comity allocates the funds in the best way with stress of the need of the nation as a whole. The mother platform is “JGive” and they say that so far 140 million shekels were donated. (1Shekel =$0.27). In one month, on this platform, Israelis donated an amount that is equal to a full year previously. Trying to get to lower income populations that don’t usually get much donations. Helping with social needs, hospitals, spiritual needs. All the donations are for people who were damaged by the war. The spiritual aspect is a main one and many need mental help (Note that my sister in law tried to volunteer to a group that simply talks on the phone with those who need someone to talk to and helping them this way and they had too many volunteers so she had to skip).
The allocations are done in an order of importances: Equipment, food, shelter…
Scores of the younger generation young people have volunteered and it’s nice to see that they show a spirit of care. The major fund brings to light hundreds of initiatives and charitable funds and people who are going out of their way to save society.
Shkedi the Head of this operation: “These days I feel it’s a duty, a right and more, it’s a biblical duty to support the People of Israel and the State of Israel. The spirit of Israel can’t be killed, together we will win.” (Shkedi -Ex-Commander of the Israeli Air Force).

Most of the story about Jenin in the West Bank is imaginary. There is no shift from Gaza to the West Bank. There are no tanks fighting in Jenin. Israel is reading there almost for a year now and since the war the IDF is rounding up terrorist every night. This is done with ground troops and Border Police. They recently have a looser finger on the trigger and every night there are a few terrorist dying. Yesterday they recently used drones and killed a few terrorists. Yesterday I think I reported it. And today too. There is no war in the West Bank ( he said “large army”).
Those are surgical raids. There is no army in the West Bank. Just individual cells.

This is what Hamas may do a hostage exchange for time and fuel. To care for those people. Things are going according to plans and Hamas will collapse after we take Han Yunis. But that one is tough. A few hours ago there was a massive bombardment there. So it’s coming if not stopped by a hostage release.

There seems to be a small number of such sites; maybe good intentioned propaganda efforts? I’ve been looking at one called, Divine Justice; and I mentioned it to David; but I am wondering how they are privy to such in detail information. The IDF site, and ILTV, I think are pretty reliable. I also look at Combat Camera, and Jhonson Bermat (Yes, that’s how its spelled): which have video of troops and equipment preparing for deployment, with a headline attached, saying that US troops etc are moving into Israel, and across certain East European countries into Ukraine. Again, I don’t know if this is coming from legit sources or for entertainment purposes only: but it is interesting, in a frightful way!
I watched one video of the Devine Justice. It was much better than the one above “Raptor new channel”. They use quotations of Israeli reliable officials. But it was incomplete because it didn’t mention that the North still have two cities that will need to be taken. One is Sajaiah if forgot the other name. The best YouTube aside for the IDF Speaker himself is The Tom Nash channel. This guy is very accurate. Impressed me and also analyzing correctly.

Sponge Bomb are not explosive. They are a chemical expanding foam. The Telegram British paper published that Israel is intending to use them before the ground invasion started and then it was taking a buzz on the networks.
It was dangerous to the operators and I don’t know if they use it in some cases. From videos I see they are blowing up tunnels. Sponge bombs only seals the entrance without explosions. See picture.

Here is a video by Caroline Glick. She gave the data of Judea and Samaria and explained it in terms of the Biden administrations demands about settler violence.
I think the explanation was around the 15 min mark, but I’d recommend the whole video, 30+ min.
She said that Oct 2023 data has half the civilian violence between Jews and Arabs compared to a year earlier in Oct 2022. However, there has been a marked increase in the response of the IDF to terrorists.
This means that the Biden administration are falsely labelling the IDF responding to terrorists as clashes with settlers. They’re basically intentionally telling lies and painting a false picture.

Dave, It is so sad that 120 to 140 are injured. Israel is quickly incurring an unbareable number of injured soldiers who will require care and love well after Israel wins this war. I pray for those who who died and those requiring medical and mental support for the rest of their lives.
I belong to the American Legion in southern California and know many who served that require medical help for the rest of their lives. What resources do the Israelies provode to those who get injured., many of which may require help in their home country.

No. I was referring to Badly injured. Not all levels of injuries. “Moderate” is still lost limbs. I’d there is no risk of death they don’t call it “badly injured”.

11/20/2023 – The Storm At Sea, and the Ruler of the Wind and Waves
I began reading “The Ruler Of The Waves,” which is the title of the 12th chapter, in J.C. Ryle’s book, “Holiness.” As I began reading, I wanted to write down a summary of the points he was bringing out, and how I understand them. I still have most of the chapter yet to read; but in the mean time I wanted to share, what I think are very good and important points, that we can all apply.

Mark 4:37-40 “And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And He was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him, and say unto Him, Master, carest Thou not that we perish? And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And He said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?”
Christians should study the four Gospels more than they do. “All Scripture is God-inspired, and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17) But they are all they which testify of Jesus: and Jesus Himself is the Record, and His coming in the flesh, the Spirit of prophecy; which is how the whole written word of God is expounded, fully and perfectly demonstrated.

For example, many like to spend most of their study time of the Scriptures, in the Epistles; (which is a very good thing;) in order to become fully competent in the miraculous effects of the resurrection power of the Lord’s grace wrought in us through the Holy Spirit; and of how to order our lives as Christians in this evil world. All this is of course anointed and ordained of God for this very reason, to teach us all things that Jesus has done for us. But if we don’t tie all that revelation knowledge together with actually knowing the LORD Jesus Himself, and understanding the Author and Finisher of faith; we will not be complete, nor our works perfect before God.
The Lord Jesus said, in John 16:12-14, “I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall show it unto you.”
When the Holy Spirit comes, He will guide us into all truth, by receiving of what belongs to Jesus and showing to us. That is how the Lord may say all the many things He has to say to us, when we are able to bear it. The prophets spoke and wrote by the Spirit of the LORD in them, moving them; and so do we who have received the Holy Spirit in the New Testament age: and Jesus is the Hub of the wheel into which all the spokes must be tied for the wheel to work.
We have heard, and know that it is true, that Jesus has fulfilled the Scriptures; but that is because they testify of Him! Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. All things were made by Him, and without Him has nothing come into being, that has come into being. Jesus did not just fulfill the Scriptures, as if he was “measuring up” to something; but He is the Son of God, and in Him is the fullness of the divinity in a human body: and the entire reason that man has been extended time to still live after having sinned, is because of Christ coming in the flesh to redeem us to God. That is the whole reason for God giving us His word, and for all His dealings with man ever since; because of Jesus our Savior. I hope that this point eventually resonates with Christians, that we realize WHO it is that is with us in the boat!
Which then brings us to the point, that following Jesus will not prevent our having earthly troubles and trials and causes of anxiety for our life. The disciples were taught and exhorted often, in many and various ways, that they should not be anxious or afraid; neither of people or circumstances, that we are sure to encounter on our way as Christians in this life. Notwithstanding all the wisdom of the Son of God, and the sound instruction, and easy to understand examples illustrated in His teachings; it was still up to them to apply the word in real life, while everything in nature was vehemently contradicting and challenging their faith.
I think that it is quite telling about us, how easily we become anxious and distressed, even over really small things that happen not perfectly how we like them. And what is interesting about that; is how before we knew the Lord, we were actually pretty adaptable and resilient to the world, in some ways; and able to bear up cheerfully and accepting of the things we cannot change. But an all too common characteristic among Christians, is how once they become followers of Jesus, and reading their Bibles, there is a change that takes place, almost automatically: which is into a feeling of entitlement, that makes for cry-babies and complainers, who now have no idea what to do under stress and adversity.
Before they met Jesus, and became His friends and disciples; at least four of the men were fisherman by trade; which we could be fairly sure, that they were quite accustomed to and expert in their skill and understanding of the sea. And as for the rest of them; we can only imagine, because of the toughness that those times demanded for survival and making a living; that none of them really were so helpless as they displayed on that night. So why is it, that now, with the Son of God in the flesh, in the boat with them; do they fall into a panic, and think that the Lord doesn’t care if they perish? And MANY Christians do that! Before becoming Christians, when they, as far as they knew, had to do it by themselves; they could muster the fortitude and at least try to find a way out of the trouble. But now that they have knowledge that the world does not have, and the actual presence of the Lord and His Spirit in us; we are ready in an instant to panic and doubt!
So the lesson we are given in so many and various ways throughout the Bible; all the history and wisdom and the words of the prophets and apostles; all which were given only in part, in types and shadows and glimpses of One dearly beloved and well pleasing Son: He is with us; so why are we so fearful? And how is it that we have no faith? In a certain sense, we had such strong faith in we didn’t even know what before: but now, after having partaken of His saving grace, and being set free from sin and the power of darkness; and the Lord Himself delighting to abide with us . . . ! We need to rehabilitate our way of thinking, and grow some backbone in our faith and right understanding of things. And we do well to be sore amazed and astonished beyond measure: What manner of man this is, who commands even the wind and the sea, and they obey Him!

I really love the straight way he puts things: a great example to learn from, in studying and applying the Scriptures in a practical way.
I too wish so bad for the same; but I sadly feel, that the churches have the kinds of pastors and teachers that they really want; and brothers like J.C. Ryle would be as unpopular today as in their own days, but much more so. Teachers like Ryle, and Tozer, and a handful of others, (including ALL the prophets and apostles in the Bible), are far too real and penetrating to the conscience and inner motives of the heart, and the Spirit speaking through them too intolerant of the commonly excused and indulged in careless indifference and unaccountability, that has made the contemporary western churches what they are today. I think what separates the two, is that one understands how we have been called out from the world, and that we are no longer of the world, just as Jesus is not of the world; while the other can’t see themselves as any other than being in the world, and so having to use the things of the world to “attract people to Jesus;” not knowing, that it is precisely the cross of Christ which condemns the world and delivers us from sin, that is how the Holy Spirit draws anyone to Christ.

I’ve got questions.
We are constantly being told that glaciers are melting around the world due to “climate change”.
The Park Service put signs up in the 1980s saying that the glaciers in Glacier National Park in Montana would be gone by the year 2000. By 2017 the NPS knew the glaciers would not be gone by 2000 and in fact could not predict when they would be gone. But the signs remained because they claimed they didn’t have the money in their budget to change them.
The signs were eventually changed, some after 2000.
Most of the Glaciers in Glacier National Park are relatively young having first formed during the Little Ice Age. A period of colder than average temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere that is generally said to span the time period from 1300 to 1850.
The majority of the recorded melting of the glaciers occurred during the first half of the 20th century between 1900 and 1946. For example, in 1900 Sperry glacier had a surface area of 840 acres. By 1938 it has shrunk to 390 acres and by 1946 it was about 330 acres.

And then there is Mount St. Helens. The mountain is 8,362 ft. and the crater is at 6,794 ft.
One would think that since scientists are telling us we have had so much warming that after the 1980 eruption melted all of the glaciers on the mountain there would be no new ones to form. Especially in the crater where there is still geothermal activity. Well glaciers did come back including one in the crater and they have been growing! The crater glacier has been expanding at a rate of about 135 feet per year and adding 50 ft of depth per year. How can this be?
And then there is Mount Kilimanjaro. It towers over the African plains in Tanzania and is only 3 degrees in latitude form the equator and thus lies pretty much right in the middle of the tropical zone. At 19,341 ft it is the highest free standing mountain, or IOW stand alone as not part of a range, on earth.
In 2001 the UN IPCC declared that the glaciers of Kilimanjaro would disappear somewhere between 2015 and 2020. When the snows of Kilimanjaro did not disappear in the time that the IPCC dictated they would they changed the time of death for the glaciers to 2040. Meanwhile local researchers report that the size of the glaciers “remains steady”.

Then, the Administrative Deep State coddles them, nourishes them, breeds them and pretty soon, by the millions, they all pop out of our chests, vote Democrat and we live the rest of our lives in some primordial ooze waiting and hoping for Trump/Ridley to come burn them out.

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. A fine and pleasant misery for me and….. A good and pleasant day to all.
Today we’re using that old standby the slow cooker or crock pot to do pork loin and beans (who could’a guessed beans, right?). (My better half is having a mother-daughter outing day so guess who has the chores.)
Well enough of my miseries,
The reason for this post is information to add to your arsenal to combat high food prices or for prepping.
Dried beans to canned beans.
Canning dried beans in a pressure canner.
This method is so quick and easy and can be varied from charros/cowboy style to great northern and ham, black eyes and ham or plain pintos to modify when you meal prep them out of the can.
For simple pintos:
It is critical to locate dried beans less than a year old. Older dried beans are still edible but simply will not soften. Simply wash and rinse, discard any broken beans, shriveled beans or foreign matter. Add a scant cupful beans to each quart canning jar, add steaming hot water leaving 1 inch headspace and salt then place in pressure cooker and can; (for 1.5 hours if quarts following all the pressure canning procedures from your canning book.)
No soaking or pre-cooking required! (This is the method used by the commercial canneries, they don’t normally pre-cook)

You can also utilize an insta pot style pressure cooker to cook your dried beans in minutes versus the overnight soaking and then cooking method. Isn’t technology a grand thing?
