Israel Update:
-2 IDF soldiers died and 4 badly injured from an anti tank missile in Gaza.
-5 Terrorists died in the West Bank in a confrontation. Three of them were killed with the use of a drone. This means they were seriously dangerous to deserve a deployment of a drone.
-102 UN workers died in Gaza so far. 27 injured. The highest number in the history of the UN. Note: The UN in Gaza have about 10,000 employees, mostly Palestinians who are closely associated to Hamas. Hamas likes to hide around UN facilities and fire from there.
-Blinken had a conversation with the new Foreign Minister of Britain David Cameron about Israel, Ukraine, China, etc…. Note: The previous Foreign Minister was fired after she called the Pro Hamas march (They call it “ceasefire march”) “a hate march” and accused the police of favoring those protesters. I have to say that when truth gets you fired (and they also arrested many counter protesters) you know you are dealing with a declining society.
You may or may not know but the British Empire was the largest in the history of this planet with some 26% of the lands of the world, seven times more than the Roman Empire and more than twice of the largest Chinese Empire in history. In 1948 they were still over Israel so this is some insane speed of decline to a point that now their own culture is at risk.

-Daily protests of the Families of the kidnapped. Getting Israeli media attention.
-Biden:”The hospitals in Gaza should be protected”.
The White House clarifies that “Hamas uses hospitals as centers which poses a problem to the IDF”. (Go figure. This is an illogical opposite meanings).
-US Intelligence sources confirms the claims of the IDF about Hamas having command centers in Shifa hospital.
-IDF shows a video of Hamas man with an RPG missile coming out of Shifa hospital and then escapes back in. In this event there was a battle and some 30 Hamas people around the hospital were killed.
-The Golani Brigade of Israel who took a strong hit on 10/7 when surprised in beds in a base, now arrived at the “Hamas Parliament” of Gaza. Took nice photos of victory with Israeli flags in the Parliament.
-Another Israeli body from 10/7 was discovered in a field. Was identified as a Kibbutz town resident, 74 old, who was a Radical left women who was in the Betzelm organization that documents “crimes of the IDF”. Was all about giving Arabs whatever they want. Her lefty organization are saying that they “will continue her way of seeking co-existence”.
Note: I also saw a video of a victim from the Kibutz who was all for peace and co-existence, very liberal naive views flipped 180 degrees and want Gaza annihilated. So can a radical left person shift? Under very extreme circumstances apparently “yes”.
-A terrorist in the West Bank tried to do a stabbing attacked and was shot dead by a Reservist soldier. No injured Israelis.
-A very bad prediction report of the S&P Credit company about Israel. Not good for investors who want to come to Israel. This is after they have already lowered the score of Israel.
-Biden’s Senior Advisor : “No progress in the negotiations for releasing hostages.”
-Speaker of the IDF went into Gaza to one of the Hospitals. Is on video showing a tunnel under the hospital in which there are diapers and other signs that hostages were in there. Also a motorcycle which took part in 10/7 attack and has bullet holes from the firefight.
Note: It is possible that the humanitarian pauses were used to move the hostages.
Also is the hospital complicit in the hostage capture operation? Also some evidence that a pregnant women hostage delivered a baby in capture. Note: this specific hospital was taken by Israeli Navy Seals. Probably there was suspicion of the presence of the hostages so a top unit was sent there.
-Still some rockets to the center of Israel and Gaza area. One direct hit in Gaza area. No injuries.
-Israel Defense Minister: “Hamas lost control of the population, civilians are looting their bases”.
-IDF Chief of Staff: “We will not permit a situation whereby the residents of the north feel unsafe to return home.” Note: Is this a hint that Israel will go strong on Hezbollah?
– Pro Palestinian protestors block entrance to the Israeli Consulate in Chicago. The police arrested tens of them. Note: This was a Jewish organization “Jewish Voice for Peace”.

-I listened to two reports from inside Gaza with interviews on the ground.
They said that they learned the enemy and are making the enemy weaker and the attacks are shrinking. They are also better in attacking them underground. I get the idea that things are going really well on the ground. I can see the morale is high amongst the soldiers.
I told you from the beginning that there is a strong spirit and unity and it’s going to be a good victory.
-Students in Harvard did a pro Hamas demonstration and called “Intifada”. This word means terror attacks against Israelis. Should be illegal. Israeli President sent an “emergency letter” to The Heads of universities calling them to act against support in terror. Said it’s a sign of a decline in academia. This comes after many such protests and increase in antisemite incidents and a general lack of safety of Jews in universities.

While I was reading this, I thought of the thousands of Jews in Jerusalem all during the time that Jeremiah was speaking to them; how no one listened, until the army of the Chaldeans were building the siege wall. They thought they were doing right by ignoring the words of the prophet, and continuing their own version of religion; until God verified the words of His servant, and reality slapped them in the face.
Nearly all of my relatives are devout lefty liberals; and as you probably know from some of your own family as well, as long as they are convinced that they are righteous in their opinions, there is no reasoning with them; and they really hold you in the greatest contempt. But I think you’re right about the point you bring up: reality is a very powerful means of suddenly making people’s thinking clearer. So, no grudges here; I just wish it didn’t have to come to that. But a lot depends of course, on how deeply someone has made their spiritually and morally bad decisions; as to how easy or hard it will be to persuade them the complete opposite of what they believed.

When I saw how the Canadian government treated the truck drivers I could tell that Canada is in trouble.
It still boggles my mind to realize that Hamas planned to fight a war by hiding in tunnels under civilians, slowly being defeated while deaths of civilian shields pile up. They went out to commit atrocities, and then scurried back to hide in their tunnels.
This is sort of like Japan trying to “win” by causing so many casualties defending their empire in the hopes that it would break America’s will and they would still exist at the end. Might have worked if we had to invade Japan.
But this is business as usual for these terrorists. Commit atrocities. Hide behind civilians. “Win” by still being alive when the world makes Israel stop. Celebrate your losses, terrorist and civilians, as martyrs. Recruit, rearm and reoffend again.
So world-wide protests were part of the Hamas plans from the start. And pressures for pauses are signs that Hamas’ plans are starting to achieve their desired outcome.

I know its a bit off topic, of what the soldier was talking about; but just listening to the spoken Hebrew language . . . you know, the Lord Jesus spoke Hebrew; and so did all the Jews in Israel in those days. We are all used to seeing Bible films portraying them as having English accents; and the poor people having a kind of Londoner accent; (I guess to convey an artistic impression?).
The only reason I think about that, that the Lord speaks Hebrew, and comes from the Hebrew race; is to remind the Westerners especially, that the word of God came to them when they were heathen. Israel has always been God’s chosen people of inheritance; even during all these centuries that He has hidden His face from them because of their sin and unbelief. I would highly recommend that everyone read again, very slowly and carefully, Romans 9-11, just for an example. God said that He would return to His people Israel, when the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. It doesn’t take great insight to see, that that time has now come: the transgressors are come to the full, and the last restraint is being taken away from before them to do all that they have imagined against the LORD, and against His Anointed.
God sees exactly what’s going on in the world right now; and He is bringing upon them that have rejected Him, the Grand Delusion and the Working of Error; which will culminate in setting up the Abomination of desolation and the kingdom of antichrist. It is at the doors! The whole world will see Jesus coming in the clouds with power and great glory, and all the tribes of the earth shall wail because of Him; and they shall look upon Him whom they pierced, and mourn for Him as for an only son. It is correct that Jesus read and spoke Hebrew. The Gospels have him reading Hebrew scriptures aloud. Then he would discourse on that scripture. But they don’t say what language the discourse was in.
At the time of Jesus, Aramaic was the common language of the land. And Jesus spoke that language too. That is also depicted in the Gospels.
There are hints that Jesus spoke Greek. Greek had been the language that land was ruled in from Alexander until the Maccabean revolt. And the Romans included it as an acceptable secondary ruling language in all lands that had been ruled by and Hellenized by the Greeks. And there is plenty of evidence of Hellenization of the land at Jesus time. Hypocrite, a word Jesus used, is the Greek word for actor. And the live by the sword, die by the sword line is a rephrasing of a concept in a then 400+ year old Greek play.
I am curious about the conversation between Pilate and Jesus. Pilate would speak Latin as his native language and Greek as a language to govern in. Did he also learn Aramaic or Hebrew? Could he speak fluently in them? What language did Pilate use to speak to the crowd? Or was Jesus’ hinted Greek fluent enough to converse with Pilate?

Actually, Meredith Willson was the Grand Marshall of the Mason City, Ia Music Festival one year and he directed(for a couple of songs) a mass band of about 20-30 high school marching bands from all over Iowa, gathered on the field and in the stands of the football field.
I was one(1) trombone, in one(1) band, among all those bands.;)
But, it is one of the grandest memories of my life.

My wife and I saw Phantom of the Opera at the Majestic back in the 90’s. If I recall, it’s just west of Broadway on 44th.
She did a few TV shows, but she, my other sister, and I were in a road tour of The Sound of Music traveling throughout America for almost a year. She was 10, I was 12, and my other sister was 6. Then my father was transferred to DC to work on the space program and we moved from our home in New Jersey and New York to Maryland. I thought it would be a great adventure going to school and living in a neighborhood rather than in the country and the city. I had been in show business since I was 4 and I found the “normal” life didn’t meet my expectations. Well, it was still an adventure… as life is.
Wow. I guess one you’ve experienced the big stage with professionals, everything else is a “come down.”

God morning, Treepers,
My daughter who you have “met” on these pages, was accosted yesterday by a junior boy.
Savannah doesn’t even know his name. He’s new to the school, transferred from another.
He acted like he was playing around and tried to trip her in class a couple days ago. I mentioned he probably had a crush on her and was teasing her trying not to think much on it.
Yesterday, after her first day at new job and after her shower… she was in her robe and I noticed black marks in a ring around her neck. She was very upset that I pointed it out and was cagey and went to the bathroom.
Settling her down, I learned the same boy tripped her again and she face planted into the dirt while waiting for her bus. No one came to her aide.
There are no cameras out there so no evidence and she doesn’t know his name or who he is. He is in her science class.
This was unprovoked and she’s never so much as spoken to him. She is red headed white and he is black.
She has pleaded with me to handle it herself. I am complying with her wishes. She went to her first day of her new job with that burden.
I’m ready to sit myself in the Vice Principal’s office and make myself a huge nuisance.
I am so angry. There are just not words.
I prayed over her and reminded The Lord what His duty is to protect her according to His Promises.
I told her that she should say to these soulless people “As long as you have breathe in your body, there is still hope for you. God be with you.”
This is a Spiritual battle, as I’ve not knowledge of one solitary person with the fortitude or skill to respond to that which Israel has been subjected to. We are so weakened militarily, intellectually, and strategically.
The violence increases.
And before one more person chides me for not removing her from that school… we do not have the resources to teach her from home even in online learning. She is a special needs learner and I’m the only bread winner in our home. My job does not allow me to give her the attention she needs to flourish.
At this rate, it will be everything we can do to muster the courage to complete her high school diploma.

My daughter carries a very heavy backpack, a computer bag, and a lunchbox… every single day. It is easily 60 to 70 lbs of gear.
As far as documenting this… it is COMMON PLACE… this is not onesy twosy fights. Kids don’t even want to assemble in the lunch room. Fights are frequent because these kids are more like animals than intellectuals.
This is gangland behavior and the kids are instinctively forming gangs. Two of her guy friends witnessed the first attempt at tripping her and told this kid to leave her alone. They drive so were not witness to what he did to her awaiting the bus. I’ve told her to let them know and ask them to intervene… but sometimes and too often… it is mono y mono and you must defend yourself.
JWoo, please report this. It isn’t up to kids to handle these situations. It will escalate.

The local police defer back to the police department that is now a standard organization on school campuses. They are their OWN police force.
For instance, we had an issue where a physical threat was conveyed by a young girl who we had two years of exposure and history with. She brought an Xacto knife onto campus last season. She has a parole office as a minor. She tried to incite violence, asking two other girls to beat up a third girl because she couldn’t touch her without violating parole. (The girl she was seeking to beat up – rebuffed her sexual advances.)
Because the two girls refused to beat up the third girl, the perpetrator threatened violence against them and we were encouraged to get a restraining order. Contacted the police department in our town, they defer back to the school police. It is a “School” problem.
It is a circular arugment.
NO ONE polices the Department of Education and the school campuses are self-governing and have the final say in handling threats and psychological profiling. There are even school officials who are hired and tasked with representing minors in court proceedings when their parents are not present or willing.
Remember Sundance did an article after the Parkland FL high school shooting a few years back. SD noted that the schools create their own police force to avoid reporting all the crime and thus lie their way into getting more $$$$ from the feds under a program Ozero began. It rewards schools for reducing crime statistics……..

Apparently, she fell into the dirt hard enough for her head to be tilted back and the dirt to be all over her skin. But this was black – not brown – it was weird and she wouldn’t let me look at it long. When I found it, she was very agitated and headed off to her bathroom to further clean up. I imagine her with her things thrown around trying to keep control of her belongings.
That was the first thing I thought – once I realized she was acting funny and I saw her behavior – and she told me the story of what happened – I thought someone put something around her neck.
I have to keep an element of TRUST with my daughter. I have made a very terse written report to the school – which puts them on notice. (I know, I know… a firmly worded letter… but it is also a forensic record in their emails and mine… God forbid anything more should happen.)
I have warned them that she will NOT be in trouble with me for protecting her person and defending herself. I told them that I “pity the person who underestimates her intellectually or physically”.
I do believe Savannah was being cagey with me to try to shield me from alarm. We’ve had a very stressful two weeks, but I have already contacted our former acquaintance who leads a self-defense class for women. Kiddo was younger and very shy, so she wouldn’t engage in the active grappling in the first class we took together. I believe now that would change.
She carries a lot of heavy gear which is GOOD for upper body strength. Now, it’s working the gym into her new work routine so she can continue to tone and increase her strength.
I am so sorry and sad to say – WE ALL NEED TO BE PREPARED, FOLKS. Don’t fool around out there and get yourselves into a situation you can’t get out of.
I’ve been reticent about her enlisting in the military. The military is a very important part of our family and history. I can tell she wants to go. We both agree that this faux administration is no good for our military – but now I’m reconsidering. Maybe the boot camp, shooting, and hand to hand combat exercises might be good for her? She is a fighter – she just hasn’t been let loose and she is incredibly patient and a rule-follower, but she knows the evil that is lording over these schools. She senses things like her mom does.
I have 6 months before she turns 18. She’s mentally counting the days. She’s middle of her Junior year – held back one year for her learning disability.
Our local police have a PAL program where they teach kids karate and have tournaments for the girls and boys in different age groups. My oldest granddaughter enjoyed it very much. It was free except for the time, unform and mouthguard. Everything else was provided free.
Lacking that, a good course in self-defense seems to be in order.

Jepperine – as a standard, they WILL NOT divulge anything about the other parents. They will not even tell you who they are so you can address them directly. They keep everyone separated from one another.
The only way to get info on the parents is through the kids and their peer group.

ABOVE ALL THINGS – I am asking all of you to get super involved with your kids and grandkids. You don’t have to be helicopter parents, but let me tell you this… if you are not teaching your children about the world, the WORLD will teach your kids. DO NOT WAIT to teach your children and their children proper situational awareness and self-defense.

The two boys who know this kid – drive to school, so they are not with her there. She is going to talk to them today about saying something again to this kid.
I don’t know the layout of the school. So they would not take the time to walk her to the bus before they went back to their cars?
Car lot and bus lot are on opposing sides of the school. Kids are naturally forming gangs to combat this. These kids are not familiar with true street gangs, but this is what is organically developing as a result of the numerous violent outbursts. Protection in numbers.
Kids who are on the spectrum have trouble forming these deeper relationships, so it’s harder to find their cohorts. Kids in kiddo’s peer group are finding alternative paths to classes to avoid heavily populated, anger-charged areas.
Maybe moving to a safer community would be good for you both. I am a big fan of slinking away to a place where an every-day life is worth living and thriving. God Bless and watch over you.
Bullies have to be sneaky because they’re cowards. If Savannah can call attention to an altercation he might back off. But may not stop without school admin stepping in. Hopefully she can enlist the two boys to keep an ear and eye on her.

Here is what we went over:
1) if they are within striking distance of your body.. close the gap! That’s why boxers hug each other in a fight. A fully extended arm increases impact force. If they’re too close, you have to close the gap to minimize their striking force
2) hardest part of your body is the elbow. Go for eyes, nose, kidneys.
3) “he who controls the hips controls the fight” tuck in like you’re going to give them a hug and throw them to the ground. Avoid being on the ground and them still standing where they can kick and stomp you.
Instinct tells you curl in a ball, if they are up and trying to stomp you, grab their foot and turn it with all your might to destabilize them and make them fall. Towards you they fall on you, away from you they fall away.
4) throw anything you can at their face. One always protects the face. It buys you a second or two to try to get away.
5) if they’re too close, grab by the ear and rip! Fingers up the nostrils and rip! Fingers in their eyes and gouge!
Then run like hell to get away because you will really piss them off.
Always be aware of your surroundings and know an escape path and then run!
If they close ground on you, the backpack can be used as a shield and a projectile.

JWoo…one thing to consider…most of these hood rat types are already masters at mixed martial arts and they are FAST! When I was a nurse in Juvi, I would often see these fights break out and all I could do was go back to the clinic and prepare for the injuries. I am not exaggerating when I say “fast”…keep that in mind.

My daughter was bullied at school. They choose the kids they are jealous of. I told my daughter to take it as a compliment.

She’s dealt with bullies for a long time, Dan Dale. She FLIPS bullies. She can turn a bully around into a rule-abiding decent kid and her former private school used to USE HER for doing just that. Until she came to her 7th grade there and she was in a quad of 4 desks surrounded by THREE of them.
I put my foot down then that their experiment with her was over. Executive Function exercises were kicking in full-steam and she really suffered academically – a formerly A/B student was falling drastically in grades. I asked the school what they thought her attention would be on – surrounded by bullies.
Savannah is a future diplomat. I have absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind at all about it the way she handles people. She has an affinity for flying, mechanical engineering, the Constitution and the law. She sees no reason why she can’t be all of those things. The first two can scratch the itch of each of those. The latter can enable her piloting for relaxation, or the piloting can be a gig job for her education.
She is unique and she sticks out in a crowd like a sore thumb. She is absolutely a target, as I have been with my unique experiences. It’s in our Spirits – and we know that. We measure every risk accordingly but refuse to give up ground to evil.
We can’t give up ground. People need us to defend and assert our rights.
I am getting so tired of reading about the violence and racist attacks from the 13%. When good people are attacked by animals (especially when I read or see a gang of thugs doing the violence) my blood boils. Please let your daughter know that as much as she may want to deal with this herself ( to not look like she is a child in her peers eyes), tell her it is your responsibility to protect her, even after she is legally an adult that desire will not go away.

The Anderson HS I went to was 8% black but you would think that it was 50%. The natives got restless when the school refused to mandate more than one black girl be on the varsity cheerleading club.
They tried to block the busses from loading after school one day. We on the “A” club or IOW lettered athletes, and certain male teachers and administrators took care of that situation very quickly with no police involvement. They never tried that crap again. But periodically there would be trouble for one reason or another all during the HS years.

We have first name basis with the Vice Principal, and he is very aware of my daughter and her faithfulness in reporting, including against false witness from a recent situation. Kiddo is well-known to administration – she’s just THAT kid and she even turned a teacher that hated her into a friend. She may be immature for her age, but she garners much respect especially from those who have tried to come up against her. She puts them in her place – she is wise in her faith and she wields it really well.

You really should home school her or send her to a Christian school. I’m in a similar situation to you, I’m the sole bread winner ,my wife is a stay at home mom and I have 4 children. The Christian school allows us to pay what we can . You never know until you try.

Thank you and I understand your situation and advice. My daughter attended 9 years at a highly prestigious Christian school and one year at a very specialized school for learning differences. The latter was nothing more than a liberal paradise for woke agenda and the kids learned nothing. Even as a single mother, even with half off the tuition of the latter school – I paid over $12,000 for her attend there.
There are NO OPTIONS for us. We attempted an online directed course curriculum called The Potters School over the summer and though daughter enjoyed the course, the teacher, the students immensely – highly intellectual training and education – she could not effectively manage or organize her assignments.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Potters School for an excellent learning experience. They offer K through 12 and a full year of courses for my junior daughter would have been about $4,000. Which is about 1/3 to 1/2 of private education – even with school choice. I know from where I speak. I used to be on a parent advisory board promoting school choice in Indiana sponsored by an education lobbying firm. I gave a speech at our State House alongside then Governor Pence – and have a picture of us together – which I cannot bring myself to post or throw away. He angers me so at how he let down our country. I keep it because it may be meaningful some day in our family’s history.
We do not have help, nor family. It is just the two of us and my job is very cumbersome and I barely have room to breathe let alone try to proctor her.
With all due respect – what do we gain by giving up ground?

I absolutely believe in the younger, more impressionable grades… the need for Bible-based great substance. However, in these upper grades – they will eventually (and quickly) enter the world. If they are guarded too much – they will fail and fold if they don’t know how to handle and assert themselves. I’ve seen it happen with students from that prestigious Christian school I referred to in our situation. The kids graduate, go off to a woke university and drop out in their first year, because they can’t handle dealing with “humanity”.

We have a large Christian Club at our California middle school. I belong to a morning staff prayer group. Even here in California there are many who believe in God and country.

Vice Principal pulled the boy from their shared class to have a talk with him and dealt with one other issue there, as well. I’m expecting an email from the Vice Principal and Teacher of Record this evening.

One of my grown daughters told me about a coworker who became distracted because her som was being stalked in a Nashville high school by a girl gang threatening to beat him up.
Sexual harassment and bullying are suing offenses in the workplace. I do NOT understand why young students are expected to put up with bullying in school, when it is punished in the workplace. It is a nightmare for parents as well as the students, and we pay taxes for this kind of mismanagement.
I would to know if the troubled abuser was transferred from another school where he had been battering other students? And the “administration” transferred him instead of confronting his violent behavior? Choking is dangerous.

In Matthew 19, Jesus tells the story of a young man, a leader in his community, highly moral and very wealthy. In addition to having everything in the earthly realm, he wanted to add eternal life. The meaning of Jesus’ comment regarding the eye of the needle (v. 24) has been disputed by theologians. Some have said it refers to a gate into Jerusalem that was small enough for a man to enter, but not large enough for a camel.
Another opinion is that the word was mistakenly translated as “camel” and actually meant “rope.” Either way, the impossible becomes possible with the Lord, who makes His kingdom available to you.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

The only way we can keep the Beatitudes, is by patiently enduring hardships, hatred and hostility, persecution for Jesus’ sake. Not by rendering evil for evil, or eye for eye; but by yielding our will and our lives unto God, in the midst of the trials.

Remember what the Lord said to the saints in Smyrna; one of only two of the churches, which He had nothing against, and no need of repentance? Behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, and you shall be tried ten days. Fear none of those things which you shall suffer. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life. By this we know, that the temptation for the unestablished and misled, and those with spurious conversions, for many the test will be too much to bear; because “unto death” is nothing they can understand or accept. So they will be scandalized and turn against the Lord, and their Christian brethren, thinking that they will be able to save their lives by betraying them. But no one respects a traitor, and their end shall be like that of Judas.
But we do have the good and faithful examples of the Lord Jesus Himself, and so many saints and prophets and apostles, who endured the cross, despising the shame; and as long as we hold onto the Lord in our hearts, He will be with us; He will not leave us alone, and He will not forsake us. No matter what the devil and his children are able to do to our bodies; once we’re dead, there’s nothing more they have power to do: and there will be a day of reckoning. So we should not let our hearts fear for all the evil tidings; for God is with us. Let us therefore mourn with those who mourn, and pray for one another that our faith fail not; and keep our eyes on Jesus: and as we see Him do, we do likewise.
