Not a fan but there is actually a possible medical reason for this. Plantar fasciitis is an arch condition that can be quite painful. I was told to wear cowboy boots to counteract this and when that didn’t work got custom fitted arch supports aka lifts. No idea whether Ron! has this condition but it is quite common.
No one with plantar fasciitis is told to wear high heels. And for arch supports, you would take out the insole that comes with the shoe and put your inserts in.
