Had some interesting prayer time this evening on behalf of this world of ours. Posted some late night musings to our Israeli brother, David, on yesterday’s O thread.
Strange… my prayer visions were of flooding the tunnels with sea water as defense. Then found Scriptures of such and then an article of such from the BBC. Had no earthly ideas of logistics just thought maybe Israel would be held harmless if it were The Lord Who drowned and destroyed the evil… seems there’s precedent to having done so in the past. Might save some bullets and innocent lives? Maybe the salt water would destroy munitions?
Strange prayer times. Strange times.

What started as prayer and meditation became quite a study that inspired much curiosity.

If anything, my trust in Our Lord’s watch over us has increased. Events such as these make me understand just how insignificant we are in the space of things. This is a bit humbling, I know, but it underscores the importance of trust and faith in Our Lord’s protective watch over us.
I am, of course, paying close attention as events unfold. Although I am old, I am also well armed. I really don’t know what comes next. But the Really Bad Thing happens I’ll put my trust in Our Dear Lord and do the best I can. I wish us both well, ‘ Woo love.

I love your meme and aren’t we so much more valuable than the sparrows, yet not one falls to the ground without our Good and Mighty Lord knowing everything about it!
I understand missing Sepp and others who have gone quiet. I can only place their persons into The Lord’s capable care. Online “anything” nowadays can simply rob ones senses when you come to a point where you can’t trust anything you see and read. Sometimes, life itself lifts us from escapism in this Tree of Respite and forces us most violently to tend to its demands… or moods gag one into silence.
Some of the recounts and prayers and violations to our psyche and person turn my usually verbal prayers into guttural cries and lamentations where I can only “upvote” or there is no further commentary I can contribute than that which is already offered. I am so guilty of being wordy – but there are some things I simply can’t communicate – and only the cries of my Spirit to God Himself are appropriate carried by our Precious Holy Spirit living within us. Jesus our Great Intercessor.
Even my prayer times have slowed due to high demands and I have been discussing carving out my vacation time with daughter to simply go into retreat filling it with Scripture study, music, and peace.
I am far from perfection and my mouth and anger sometimes gives way – but I take quite seriously my time in God’s Word and His Leadings of my Spirit. I can only obey Him when He Leads out of love for all the good and protection He Has Done and Will Do for me.

As for communicating in understandable prayers, there are just times when groanings are the only things we are capable of. Or such a mish mosh of prayers which (I speak for myself) are so entangled I can’t separate them. So then I have to lay them all as they are at the feet of Christ and trust He sees the beginning and end of them.

Israel Update:
–The US attacked two bases of Iran and its proxies in Syria. US Defense Minister is saying it was directed by Biden as a response to Iranian related Militia attack on American bases. He said they will not hesitate to act again if attacked again. Said it was to defend American forces and not as a part of the conflict in Gaza.
-900 US troops moved to the Middle East. Including operators of Air Defense. Pentagon also say that US bases were attacked 12 times in Iraq and 4 times in Syria by groups which are identified with Iran. I know some brain injuries, I don’t know anyone died aside for a contractor.
-Families of the kidnapped met US Congress people in DC. Representatives of the families arrived with images of the kidnapped. Saying that “only the US have enough political power to help bring back their dears”. The families are organized and are holding pretty much none stop demonstrations at locations where Israeli leadership is meeting. They have press conferences and the pressure is felt in Israel. Pressure to do everything possible.
-Biden meets Muslim Representatives in the White House. This is after he caused the Muslims to be upset when he said that “he doesn’t trust the death toll numbers that come from Gaza”. They are also saying he is not doing enough for citizens of Gaza. He met The Comity for Islamic-American Relations. I don’t know who this group is and if it has terror ties. It is something to be looked at.
-Florida: DeSantis is saying that “they will send Israel another shipment of Weapons, Ammunition and drones.” He is saying he coordinated it with Israel. Florida have already sent two airplanes with supplies for hospitals. Florida have also rescued 700 Americans with four organized flights.
-224 empty seats with tables and empty plates for Sabbath are put mid Times Square NY to represent the 224 kidnapped. This is a protest and a reminder. This was done by the Israeli-American community.
-For the first a US city is officially blaming Israel for “Ethnic Cleansing and Collective punishment in Gaza”. It’s Richmond CA. The Council of this city.
-New Orleans – In Tulane University Pro Palestine protesters try to burn an Israeli flag and pro Israel protesters go into a physical fight with them. It’s on video.
-Biden on Tweeter: “It is important that the aide to Gaza is continuing and increasing for the innocents of Gaza. We are working hard to make it happen”. Note: Biden works for Gazans. he also wants to increase funds to Gaza. He is saying it all the time. I don’t hear him a lot talking about the hostages. Most Israelis that I know either disagree or mad at the idea that Gazans get anything without giving the same for the hostages or releasing the hostages.
-The EU Council that consists of all the leaders of the European Union met about the crisis in Gaza/Israel. There were some intense arguments and because of some friendly nations to Israel they avoid a demand for cease fire. Instead they declare “a support for Israel, condemnation of the attack, condemnation of Hamas use of civilians as Human Shields”. It also declares “a demand to release all hostages. And voicing concern of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and call to secure aide.”
This is a very good statement for Israel and gives a legitimacy for the upcoming invasion.
Ireland, Luxembourg, Spain and some others pressured to demand a cease fire.
-Defense Minister Yoav Galant established for himself an external body of advisors. About 6 of them. Not many but ex-Generals and a communication expert. Some in the IDF are not liking the external involvement. Note: Multiple advice from outside the system is a positive.
I am sure that as an Ex-General himself he knows who to listen to. Netanyahu also met a few ex-Generals for exterior consultation. Israel has some very quality and smart
ex-Generals.
-Putin: The Chief Rabbi of Russia met Putin and told him that “Peace with murderers is impossible”. He called on Putin to aide with the release of the hostages.” He thanked Putin for “actions against antisemitism and unity of religions.”
-Russia invited and met Egyptian and Hamas representatives in Moscow. Apparently to discuss the hostages and other matters. Causing anger in Israel and official condemnation of “giving a back wind for terrorists by inviting them”.
-US officials are thinking that most of the hostages are alive. They say that “the role of Qatar is positive”. But also “Qatar is playing with both sides.” Expressing concern about the magnitude of the upcoming invasion. saying that “Israel need to think from the head and not the heart”.
-Hamas stated that 50 hostages died in the Israeli bombings. Note: This could be a psychological war. I don’t know if to believe it or not.
-One of my social media groups which have people from the south too are saying that one of the bombings hit an arms storage and “explosions are heard for an hour and it feels like an earthquake. “ Some heard it in a very remote city. Massive hit on a huge arms storage.
Note: I doubt it was an hour but it is sure a major one.
-Rockets to the center at the Tel Aviv area. Most Interceptions successful.
-A direct hit on a major power pole cuts off electricity in a major area, a couple of cities.
-King Charles of England as the President of the Red Cross of England met Aide organizations and was updated of the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Buckingham Palace donated a “generous sum” for the aide and is not mentioning the hostages despite that there are British hostages. Note: Gazans and to a degree also West Bank have a “Victim operation”. They mainly live on donations of the West and the UN and Arab countries. In part you can blame Hamas but they too are responsible. Israel also came up from the ashes of wars and holocaust but developed a technological empire second only to Silicone Valley. We still have some dependence on military aide but we moved forward and developed a thriving democratic nation. When you come to visit Israel it is very visible from above that all the neighbors look yellow and Israel looks green. It’s very distinct.
All that aide that Gaza took could have helped them to be a thriving nation. They invested it mostly in building tunnels and weapons. There is some false propaganda in the Arab world and Left that is blaming Israel for it. They say “there is a siege on Gaza”. This is false. Israel was only monitoring that they don’t ship weapons and other things for Hamas. Israel enabled them everything else though its gates. Israel provided them most of the electricity and water. Israel in the last years and more enabled tens of thousands of Gazans to come and work in Israel. I specifically know of one of the families who were attacked recently are sure that the terrorist knew everything about the family and others because of a Gazan worker who was there for a decade. See below for another aspect.
-Israel enabled tens of thousands Gazans to come and work in Israel. The Idea was that “It will reduce chances of attacks by Hamas as it gives an economic relief”.
The right wing people protested it but Bibi and previous governments enabled it.
Once in a long while there would be a military collision and Israel would punish them and close the gates and then open it “to gain more quiet”. This is now a collapsed policy based on misunderstanding of the enemy we face. I just listened to an ex Intelligence officer who knows Gaza well who said that he “wouldn’t be surprised if some of those Gazans provided information to the Hamas. Information for the attack. “.
There is a rumor in one of my Social Media groups that there are “5000 Gazan workers held in a fenced confidential area somewhere.”
I actually wonder what Israel did with many of the workers. It is possible that they are being investigated and maybe used to gain vital information about Gaza and how to enter it successfully. It is not published so I don’t know if it’s factual.
-Qatar: While Qatar is helping with the efforts to release hostages their court just sentenced eight Indians to death for spying for Israel. Those are Indian Navy people who allegedly passed to Israel information about a secret submarine plan. India is stunned. Note: I doubt that Israel would recruit Navy people of India. It doesn’t smell right. Israel have good relations with India. Indian people are amongst the most supportive of Israelis. I think they too have an Islamic problem and enemies so there is some likings. Israel also helped India military in their conflict with Pakistan over Kashmir. A disputed land. India has a lot of Israeli weapon systems. We even created their Counter terror force after they had a major terror attack in Mumbai some decades ago.
-Israeli Representative in the UN gives the other representatives a code to scan with the phone which connects to the horror videos and images. Some don’t even know what really happened.
-A lot of the equipment that the terrorist had were manufactured in Gaza but there were also thousands of arms which arrived to Gaza through Egypt. Things from the Syrian war including hundreds of explosives which some were used to breach the fence.
Israel is looking into it, the smuggling routes.
More than 10,000 weaponry means were located. Thousands of magazines, different sizes of explosives including for anti tanks, and RPGs (anti tank missiles )from Russia and North Korea, special thermo missiles which were used to create very high temperatures and burn houses with families. 1500 AK47s, thousands hand grandes, tens of anti aircraft rockets, tens of night vision means, hundreds of sniper rifles (called Dragonov), heavy machine guns, Explosives that imitate an IDF explosive for breaching fences and doors. Boobytraps, gliders that can drop explosives, Large Egyptian boobytraps.
Note: It looks like Egyptians let it happen if not helped.
– Israel is preparing for a possible uprising of Arab Israelis. There was information and fears and also some past experience of Arab Israelis block vital transport routes in times of war and pouring oil on the roads and attacking innocent jews. Arabs in Israel hold hundreds of thousands of illegal weapons and jews don’t. There is a real concern.
Interior Security Minister is now in agreement with the legal officials to change the rules for live fire by the police to match it for the above threats. Specifically related to blocking roads in time of war and riots to block roads. Roads are essential to transport soldiers and munitions and supplies. There were years from the liberal legal system who blocked request to loosen the live fire regulations. This endangered soldiers when facing riots. This is a major change. They also now permit more litigations for incitement and online support of terror.
-47th Hezbollah deaths since the war began. They keep firing anti tank missiles and other things and getting killed while doing so.
-Washington Post are saying that Blinken has an agreement with his Qatar counterpart to take actions regarding Hamas in Qatar. Nothing specific agreed. Note: I doubt that Qatar will kick the Hamas leadership out without a substantial American threat. It could be means to pressure Hamas at the negotiations to release hostages. I doubt their leaders would want to leave their luxury residence.
-Iranian Foreign Minister: “Hamas is ready to release the abductees for the release of 6000 security prisoners in Israel”. Note: I didn’t see this on regular media but on social media. It could be a psychological war to delay the invasion. If it is a psychological warfare it could be censored in Israel. If it’s true then it is a moral dilemma. We love our hostages and hurt their pain. We don’t want to surrender to terror. A harsh dilemma.
-a high Iranian Official from its military threatens the US : “America will not be out of the fire if the Gaza situation continues.” Note: violent words of Iranian high military officials is not something unusual. I wouldn’t take it too seriously.
-I just watched a video of Christian Evangelicals in Israel helped 50 families from the south to have temporary shelters and their necessities. Israelis are grateful.
-Strong social media campaigns from local Hamas and abroad to incite to execute terror attacks inside Israel and the West Bank. High level alerts in Israel. IDF and police are working to prevent it. Also worry on massive Arab Israeli riots. The police is also assisted by 17,000 Civil Guard volunteers. As I said before many standby units are created and weaponized some 600 units. 1000 elderly assist with the logistics.
-I mentioned it yesterday on a separate short update. Israeli joint operation of Intelligence and Air Force managed to assassinate a senior Hamas Officer who is said to have been one of the closer people to the Military leader of Hamas and was directly involved in the planing of the 10/7 attack. Additionally two others were assassinated one was in Israel as a part of the attack.

I did that for my three, starting the day after they were born. When they’re really young, you have to wipe their butts too, to keep the internal guts working properly.

We are conspiring these couple of days to make our way to our favorite orchard, as we have been deprived of good apples. We have two places we know and we buy huge bags of huge apples and gleefully hoard them to our home and store them in the cold garage when we have no room inside.
You have a string on your toe which leads to a nice pond where the string is baited on the end. You can take a little siesta until the string pulls when the fish are nibbling. Sounds like a mighty fine lunch of fish, salad greens, and fried apples.
Fried Apples
In large saucepan over medium high heat, place 3 peeled and sliced apples (favorites are Honeycrisp type apples) and add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon allspice, and throw in a few pecan halves if you like. If it’s a special occasion, throw in a few cranberries (dried or fresh) too.
Cook over medium high heat, stirring continuously, until apples are soft and caramelized.
Yes to the fried apples! Great with southern style breakfast or as a dessert with dinner.

Elsewhere in Florida, a young woman was being convinced by her friends to do the same with hers. Just one more time.
Today, 15 years later, these two are married with two gorgeous much wanted and loved children in a house they both worked very hard to save for.
She is a gem, a real treasure. A thoughtful, beautiful soul whom we love.

Good morning, monti 🤗 We had a pond which was situated between two apple trees in the garden of our Welsh home. We put a bench there and enjoyed many cups of tea whilst sitting on it watching pond life and the fields which surrounded us in the Dee Valley. It was the most peaceful place in our world then. And a place I visit regularly in my memories.

I am a massive fan of FM’s Tusk … and consider it the REAL pinnacle of FM’s creative powers. It was also the product of the bands multiple failed romances with each other. And even MORE than Tusk … I am a fan of the limited RSD release Alternate Tusk. One of the BEST alternate takes is the song Storms. The song is stripped bare … just as Stevie Nicks wrote it … as a plaintive wail about her heartache. No backing band. No backing vocals. What makes this take extra special is that this version was recorded in Lindsay Buckingham’s home studio. And it sounds like the two star crossed lovers are singing and playing directly to each other. It is literally “weepy good” emotion put to song.

The global positioning system (GPS) has been a boon to the traveler. What once was a series of difficult-to-fold maps or stops at gas stations to ask for directions is now as simple as typing in the address and clicking. Even though GPS occasionally gives you a “bum steer,” it makes a road trip much easier.
The Word of God is like a spiritual GPS. Without it, you will likely end up lost and confused. The Creator of the universe, who knows every nook and cranny of this earth and every hair on your head, is the Author of the Bible, though He used humans to write it. As you study His word and live by it, you can be confident you will get to your intended destination.
And where might that be? Here on Earth, it is a place of loving God and loving others. It is walking in step with the Holy Spirit and appreciating the blessings He brings. The ultimate destination is Heaven and the Bible shows the way. And that way is Jesus (John 14:6).
Be sure to check your spiritual GPS each day to be certain you stay on the right path. Pray that the citizens and leaders of the nation will turn to the word of God for guidance. Pray for the Holy Spirit to quicken the word to each follower of Christ, including those who represent you in government, to live the lives He intends, and to bring glory to His name.

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

We have graduated 3 generations of Sling Blades into the population whose arrogant self regard is almost unfathomable. Wars based on lies for profit. Vaccines that kill for profit. Disease manufactured to kill for profit, Ivermectine is a horse de-wormer , Russian Collusion, Jussie, “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” “Fiery but mostly peaceful”, J-6 “insurrection”, Silicon Valley/Deep State censorship, Laptop is disinfo, the Russians blew up their own pipeline (There are literally thousands of lies, I could go on for hours and back for decades.).
With no objective truths available to anyone with regard to anything, there is a societal nation wide “Rashomon Effect” that interprets events from an individuals blinkered (Which is understandable.) view and leaves that individual grasping for truths that are unattainable in the purposefully created maelstrom of mendacity which benefits the select few.
Ironically, people in Russia and China, fully aware of the lies that the government and media tell them, are far more experienced and jaded, to the point where they can decipher the lies told to them and actually verify hidden facts by way of their experience.
They know, Putin didn’t blow up his own pipeline. The Russians and Chinese leaders KNOW they can’t lie like the American media can, because their populations are far more savvy and experienced. In addition their students can do long division.
The destruction of higher education is key in my opinion. The lies, narratives and illogical Marxist curriculum forced down our children’s throats leave them unprepared for the lies and indeed, eager to join the jejune, myopic ignorant, yet bumptious, arrogant groups who are convinced that the path to salvation is a commitment to Communism covered in the thin patina of the D 卐 M ☭ CRAT talking points/pearls, cast down from sanctimonious satrap, progressive pedagogues to the student swine they have graduated into the Empire Of Lies.
There will be no “common ground” with the techno corporate Fascists who have captured our country.
