with SCOTUS on their own docket.

No Supreme Court Justice has roving authority over the Circuits. Not even Justice Thomas. On their own, the Justices only rule on emergency requests for stays of certain Orders issued below – in proven emergency circumstances, like in death penalty case where if a stay isn’t granted there will be nothing to hear even if cert is granted because the defendant will be dead.
This is not that case.
Mandamus isn’t even the correct way to take an appeal from a Federal District Court ruling.

There are a lot of empty suits in politics. But the vacuum inside of California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) well-tailored Armani is so great that if you stand next to him, no one can hear you scream.
Newsom is currently in China, running a shadow campaign for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, just in case President Biden succumbs to the realities of his age and waning mental capacity.
The possibility that Biden will drop out this cycle is remote. But whether Biden is gone next year or in 2028, Democrats have Newsom waiting in the wings.
Can the party that so ostentatiously puts identity politics ahead of individual merit consider this straight white male as its standard bearer? Can they do it at the expense of all other hopefuls? They may not have much of a choice.
Newsom is Biden’s most viable alternative today and his most likely successor tomorrow. Can you name another high-profile Democrat with the name recognition, donor base and political talent to assume control and succeed after Biden is gone?
Democrats may hesitate, but not because of Newsom’s real flaws. They have all kinds of excuses for his record in office, which has mainly consisted of driving away his state’s middle class — California’s population has declined by more than 665,000 since the day he took office in January 2019. They also don’t mind that he cheated on his first wife with his campaign manager’s wife — at least not enough to avoid nominating and electing him governor twice.

Kevin McCarthy was always lying when he said he didn’t want to be Speaker again. He’s been hoping to put in a place holder for him, get rid of the one vote rule, then win it back in January.
Would there be an interest in starting a “sticky thread” about America’s military adventurism, seeing that we are involved in two wars (Ukraine and Israel) currently, and seems to be egging on Iran, Turkey, and China for more. Plus, America’s government is a war monger and always looking to blow someone/something up.
The daily “Presidential” thread, which I normally read daily has been infiltrated by many new people who seem hell bent on promoting more military conflicts, rather that discussing what’s most important to America and Americans’ best interest. It sure the hell is not spending taxpayer money on war.

Israel is not at war with Hamas. In a narrow sense it is fair to say that the IDF is warring with Hamas. Folks just fall for this crap every time. Can you imagine WWII being cast as a war between “the allied armies and the Wehrmacht”?

Birx, one of the self-proclaimed and oft-trotted out “authority” on such matters by the government has admitted this and, in addition, also admitted in her “new” memoir that the original “two weeks to slow the spread” was an intentional fraud as well in that it was nothing more than a play for extended lockdowns that, she was concerned, might provoke immediate revolt against her and the government’s authority.
Given these admissions on her part and the lack of the public’s revulsion and taking of just retribution for them pardon me if I don’t give a flying **** if you were stupid enough to take these ******n shots on top of the rest and they kill or seriously injure you and/or your children because I pointed all of this **** out in public going back to February and March of 2020 and can prove it as what I wrote at the time and disseminated for free, without any desire to make a ******ned nickel off any of it is historical fact and an irrefutable stack of receipts.
