I’ll only ever adopt strays. They’re so thankful to be in a good loving home. Our most precious Harold patrols daily and he’s quite serious about his job. He hunts every baseboard, every corner, and behind every door. Occasionally he will leave us his eight-legged catch as an offering. He doesn’t eat his breakfast until after his job is done. Keeping his girls safe, I suppose.
Saw his Preying Mantis buddy outside today as I was treating with food grade diatomaceous earth. He… or maybe it’s a she, since the ladies tend to live longer… is about 6 inches long and was above my garage door today.
That thing makes itself known to me, by stepping out where I can always see it while I’m treating and we seem to have an “understanding”.
This practice started after I accidentally dusted the preying mantis with DE about two weeks ago. I yelled at kiddo to grab our watering can and immediately doused it with water to save it from a terrible death from the DE. It never tried to run away from me, just kind of looked at me “to be more careful” in the future. It is the funniest thing.
It never fails. It is either the preying mantis or a ginormous grasshopper
that comes right up to the glass and has their cordial greetings with the kitties.
The grasshopper is about 3 to 4 inches long and one time while I was out watering, it jumped ON ME and landed in the inside bend of my elbow and I shrieked!!! I was sure our entire neighborhood heard me, but they see me working out among our plants frequently as they were truly gorgeous this year, so they probably knew I got into it with a bug.
There is no fear with these things and our cats seem to LIKE them… never lunging at them… but gently trying to touch them with their paw and they just exist together at the window. Our kitties are not outdoor cats.
The insects never jump away… they just edge closer.
Haven’t seen our frog pal lately. We like frogs, too.
We try to take good care of our critters and they seem to stick around, but it’s getting close to winter time and it’s starting to feel it here.
I know it’s too late for anyone to read this but yeah.
I have a tiny garden out back of my house in my 15′ wide back yard. It had a resident praying mantis too, and a couple of lacewings in the tobacco.
And there was a little tree frog/toad on the back porch, medium dark green with dark green spots, who lived in the pile of empty pots. It would croak, a terrible sound, but that meant it was ok. When I picked up some of the pots, there were two of them, one about an inch and a half long, and the other half its size.
I brought the pots in when I cleaned up the porch and that evening I heard a croak – from inside the house. It moved around for a couple of days and I worried, because I have three indoor cats, but they didn’t bother it. I finally found it under the greenhouse rack and put it back outside.
And a couple of days later, the other one.
Then when I was working on the greywater line last week, I heard it again. It had to have been sitting on one of the big PVC pipes because it resonated and was really loud.
Now we’re supposed to get half an inch of snow tomorrow and another half Thursday, and a low of 18 Sunday morning, so I hope the little frogs find somewhere to survive the winter.
I love wildlife stories. Even the smallest of insects can be so cool.

I was in Catholic elementary school in southeast PA, there was a short-mowed grassed field we’d play in and at the edge a sparse tree windbreak and a plowed agricultural field on the other side. At the tree break there were larger rocks that had been plowed out of the field.
one rock was about basketball size and was entirely white mica. We could peel pretty big sheets off, about half a playing card in size. Pretty cool to a 9-year-old boy.
also in the locale was a hard-rock quarry in gneiss. so the entire area was folded and metamorphosed terrain, called the Reading Prong

Gave it to a friend who loved and had many bonsai, and orchids in a conservatory.

-Israel released video of an interrogation. The terrorist said they were instructed to kill everyone, women children everyone and to rape bodies of dead women. he actually with a friend did so.
-Within the 40 min of horror video that was released to press there is a video of terrorist killing the parents of two children a boy and a girl. The children are badly injured and the 10 year old boy is asking the terrorist to kill him. God Have mercy on his soul. The terrorist sits and eats and let the child bleed. I will skip the other horrors. Media people watched it and I hope they will tell the world.
-The US is getting prepared for evacuating hundreds of thousands of Americans out of the Middle East. Mainly Israelis and Lebanese. It’s in a planing phase. A last resort plan. Not for now.
-Eight time that Biden talks with Bibi. Congratulate for the release of two Israelis. Stress the US will do everything to release everyone. Stress the need for constant flow of aide to Gaza.
-The Washington Arch in Manhattan is lit with blue and white (Israeli colors) as solidarity with Israel. This is in addition to many other structures like the Empire State Building.

Note: Sorry but when our children were murdered and women raped and killed, telling us about peace is annoying. There is s time for peace and there is a time for war. Now a war was declared on us. We will get it done.
-The Biden Administration is “concerned that Israel doesn’t have a clear plan of how to enter and achieve the goal of collapsing Hamas and they are worried about a huge death toll in Gaza when Israel enters. This was published in NY Times.
Note: American Officials who had access to war plans are not suppose to run to The NY Times and leak information of Nationals security value to Israel. But, I am sure that Israel is not stupid enough to tell the actual plans.
-A Marine Officer of a very high rank is sent to Israel to help with consulting. This is the first time ever such thing happens. It does show the good cooperation of the US and Israeli militaries.
-Israeli Embassy in Ireland is protesting about the Irish leader. “Spread about us lies”. Note that Ireland is one of the most hostile Western nation to Israel in recent years. I don’t know why?
-Interrogated terrorists :”whoever brings a kidnapped israeli gets an apartment and $10,000” . “The instruction was to kidnap elderly, children and women”. There are actually 6 videos of interrogations of 6 terrorists. The videos were released by Shabak (Israel’s spy agency for Gaza and West Bank ). One explains the religious law instructions of how to perform the horrors.

I had some delayed reactions last night, crying for your children of Israel – How could anyone do what has been described. There is nothing to express the grief this must bring. Then I was brought back to my experiences in Saudi Arabia prior to the US-Iraq Gulf war. Watching news videos of the hatred and the wild eyes of those there and it really came over me at the time, these were people of demonic possession that have totally given in to their hatred. May God bless you and all of you going through this.
A scripture came to me – Ezekiel 25 and the reminder that vengeance is the Lord’s and He will exact His vengeance in His time.

This confident expectation is preceded by your actions as a believer to reinforce your life of hope. Preparing your mind for action means centering your thoughts on Christ instead of being distracted and burdened by things of this world that can then become an obstacle to your faith. Your attitude provides the motivation to seek God and live with eternity in mind.
Being sober-minded reflects a levelheadedness that allows you to be calm and able to evaluate situations with balance, avoiding extremes. It also makes you spiritually alert and active in prayer so you remain faithful to and confident in the Lord despite the devil’s schemes.
The people and governing officials of this nation need the hope that Christ gives by His grace. Pray now that this hope will be realized!

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Good afternoon, friends.
I am so sorry for the delay in reporting in. Life is at warp speed and I am playing whack-a-mole with the demands.
I did meet with My Magic Wand for dinner on Saturday. I thank him for coming in and hope he enjoyed the dinner. I sent him off with a freedom-loving baseball cap from DefenderGear who is an excellent freedom-loving apparel manufacturer, the “Biblical Citizenship” box set, and study guides for that program, which is so great at renewing our knowledge of our rights under the Constitution and how Christianity can fit into our responsibilities as good stewards of our country through our God-given rights. You can check out that series for free at http://www.patriotacademy.com. I hope he has a lovely time visiting with his family and has safe travels on his way home to Colorado.
That said – many of you know that I am the daughter of a retired Military Police Officer (narcotics division) and former spouse of a Military Intelligence Analyst. I have also worked field sales for a very large international heavy machinery company covering the entirety of Los Angeles county and in my former territory headquartered in San Antionio 12 counties west to the international border crossing of Eagle Pass. It’s been several years since in those positions, but as a lass I had to be ever vigilant and I am so grateful for that education.
Thus, I am deeply inclined to share with you what my Spirit is calling me to. So, please humor me and know that this is because I LOVE YOU and I wish to see all you and your families protected in every way. This is not meant to strike fear into anyone. It is meant to gird your Spirits and persons for what lies ahead and for us all to walk confidently fully armed and at the ready for anything.
My notes are in the comments in case any wants to copy and share. Please feel free to add any tips your soul leads – as these tips could save lives.
1. Trust in God and lock your car doors.
2. Do not rely on security tied to WIFI / internet that can be turned off remotely.
3. Rely on tangible things to provide you security and self-defense in your home. Leave lights, stereo, television on to make it always appear the property is well attended. If you have service providers leaving invoices, signs on your property for their service, as them to not leave them and email you any invoices. Do not leave newspapers piling up at your door step or in the mailbox. Have someone shovel the snow on your walks and drive if you are gone during the winter.
4. Meet any strangers and acquaintances in well populated locations where you know multiple routes of escape and sources of fast help. Always let others you trust know that you are meeting someone you are unfamiliar with and check in with them when you depart and upon your return. They should even send you a text in the middle of your meeting and without being rude, you can gently respond a sign that you’re okay.
5. If strangers or acquaintances use key or code words in your discussion with you that can mean other things, including nefarious criminal activities, ask open ended questions and if their responses do not measure up or give your Spirit pause – say your polite goodbyes and get the hell out of there.
6. Mental illness is increasing, and behaviors are altering. If you see someone who seems to be suffering and you know a trusted friend or family member of the person, gently share your concerns with that person, so that the family or friend can perform frequent wellness checks. If that person is a stranger or acquaintance and their dialogue or language is not measuring up to rational behavior – inform authorities and practice personal safety protocols. Do not be guilt-tripped into taking care of a person who shares stories that can play on your emotions or compassionate nature.
7. Your duty is to yourself and your loved ones first and if you take care of your own by practicing safe protocols – than you and your own will rely less on others in your community, so support can be distributed where most needed. Keep yourself out of situations where you need 911 service, so others who do need 911 will have the services available to them when they need it.
8. If you are online dating – just don’t. Now is not the time for this. I feel incredibly inclined Spiritually to make this very clear. Catfishing – which is where an online person portrays themselves one way, but in fact are entirely different, is a real thing. Even if you have a rapport, but have never met them, people lie. With as many illegals streaming through our open borders, in quantities outnumbering many whole state populations – now more than ever, criminals are seeking vulnerable people they can manipulate, that will give them shelter, sustenance, or worse. This includes people who are lonely and trying to date. It is just simply not the time for that right now.
9. Leave vulnerable people at home. This is not going to be a popular statement, but I do not take my 17-year-old daughter anywhere where she or I could be surprised or assaulted. If you have a vulnerable person with you, then you are trying to protect yourself and them and depending on the scenario, this can be problematic. If you have someone you trust to watch the kids while you go out, then that may be best during this time.
10. Do your errands during the daytime during maximum visibility and people present.
11. Be conscious of who is behind you while driving. If you have left a scenario like that in #5 make sure you are not followed and if you suspect you are being followed – never go home. Go straight to a very public place or a police station. If you park your car – park tail first, so that you can easily pull out and away to escape.
12. When driving – even when coming to a stop – leave space in front of your vehicle to pull out and away if you need an evacuation route.
13. Get to know your local law enforcement officials by first name. They love it. They want to know that there are neighbors in their patrol district who are looking out for them and one another. Take them cookies. Take them lunch. Every public opportunity to meet with them, do it.
14. Door locks are not enough. Make sure your windows are locked and get tension rods for your windows. They are easy to install, prevent the window from being pushed open from the outside, and can be easily pulled out in the event of a fire where evacuation is necessary.
15. Please TRUST YOUR GUT – God gave you Spiritual discernment for a reason. If your spidey senses perk up – listen to it and always, always, always have an escape route and a plan.
16. If you have a smart phone, download the NextDoor app and connect to the online chatter in your neighborhood. This is a great way to find quality and vetted contractors already working in your neighborhood, as well as receive postings of events or suspicious or criminal behavior that may take place. Talk to your neighbors. If you have any that seem suspicious, talk to them anyway. Criminals do not like being communicated with directly. If you show them, you are aware of them and that you are not meek and quiet, you appear less vulnerable, or that you are going to put up a fight if attacked.
17. Faith and belief in the Lord’s Provision and safekeeping does not entitle you to go play in the freeway. Practice proper risk assessment and ask yourself if the possible repercussions are worth the risk to yourself, your loved ones, family, and friends. Bad things only have to happen one time and they can have adverse consequences for the rest of your life and no amount of counsel or support will erase that history from your life experience. When in doubt, always err on the side of safety.
I believe My Magic Wand leaves Indiana on Friday to head back to Colorado – so he should be back to posting here soon!

I have been listening to them. Even if you feel you are “unchurched” or reticent towards faith in our God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, these prophetic words are meaningful and point directly to correlation of Scriptural history to these current times. When one is not a student of history, we are doomed to repeat it – or conversely – when we become students of history, we can recognize signs and meanings to prevent recurrence or gird ourselves against catastrophe and to bolster our faith and confidence in the days ahead.
Julie Green really has an exceptional way of communicating and I highly encourage a listen to her podcasts. I am less fearful of the future when I have studied the past and God’s prophecies for what lies ahead for us all. The Lord makes us Promises and He is faithful to save as per His Covenants with us and I have never seen more prophecy play out verbatim as I am witnessing right now.

David, we saw an article in the UK’s Daily Mail which said Netanyahu’s son is in Miami, Florida, and has not returned to Israel as so many reservists have done. Have you seen or heard anything about this?
Apparently this is causing some (I shall call it) consternation.
Liberal media is reporting it. Probably true. But we have what we call an “Call in 8”. Which is a call for a reservist to report to duty.
Those who came received “Call in 8”. As far as I know he is not a combat solider so was not called in probably. But it’s true that considering his position
