What did your church do different that brought more people into worship? It sounds exciting?
Ours is full of young families due in large part to an authentically Catholic teen and young adult (18-30) programs.
Bring up kids in authentic values among each other and they’ll have families that do the same.
It’s an effort of generations, but worth it.
My church has gone woke.
My church invited a homosexual Seminarian (insert joke here) to speak to our straight, lily-white, suburban Lutheran church. He claimed to have learned that Jesus is just alright with homosexuality, and that it’s time for all repressed suburban dads to embrace their latent homosexuality. Yes, that’s what he preached from the pulpit. After he was finished … 85% of our woke congregation gave him a standing ovation. My female wife and I just sat and stared. We’ve not been back to that church, and never will.
We attend a conservative Lutheran church. We would have stood up and left and never returned.
They took over the main Protestant and catholic congregations from the top. They started back in the 70’s also using homosexuality and other woke issues as a wedge to divide congregations.
They control much of the money from the top. The Presbyterian church split due to wokeness and the non woke had to start over raising money for buildings and staff salaries from scratch.
When looking for a new church, I found the churches still in their grand old beautiful buildings tended to be run by boring, wokesters and attended by blue-hairs who continued out of habit. They survive on money from the organization as opposed to their congregations.

Our youth groups are growing, and so are our Bible Studies.

People can sense this, and are turning to God. It is not too late!
We have looked at and are so far pleased with a local Bible based church here.
Several years ago they opened a thrift store that is staffed with very nice ( mostly older retired members).
They used the money from this thrift store to fund outreach to people in situtions of need.
As they grew and had more money to use they bought some rentals to house people who needed a bit of a hand up.
They have a well stocked food bank, clothes and shoes and some furniture needed is provided to people from their thrift store.
I was in their store one day a while back and saw how they helped a family of five ( Mom, Dad and three children) “shop” for clothes, shoes and some toys for the childre.
The ones in need can go into the store and pick out their own clothes and other things.
This is the place we give our charity money to.
It is local, all of the charity given is controlled by the local members.
We have looked seriously at joining this church but are still a little gun shy after the betrayl of the church my husband was born into and I joined.
We were members for over 40 years and gave lots of money, time and energy to this church.
We are not doing that again without a lot of patient checking and lots of prayer as to what church we should go with.
Catholic Bible study in the Bay Area, with Archbishop Cordileone pushing back against this massive atheist liberalism and Covid oppression has been taking leaps and bounds since lockdown closed the churches and schools but left abortion clinics, liquor stores and restaurants for liberal CA governor banquets wide open.

That’s not a video of the attack, that’s a before/after video. That said, the “hospital” highlighted is FAR too small to hold 500 people.
Regardless of who is responsible, the fact that oatmeal brains (OB) just happened to be in the air travelling to the area at the time makes it very suspicious and has resulted in a less likely de-escalation in the conflict since OB couldn’t visit countries other than Israel in the area.
So, if it was Hamas, it will probably backfire as it prevents any kind of negotiated cease fire or settlement and will lead to total war on all of the enemies of Israel including Iran where this is probably the last chance to prevent them from getting a nuke and forever ending any chance of taking them out.

Once the elderly patient dies, the gloves come off and every child’s greed is bare and raw before them.

race is stuck”. Byron is discussing an article by Rob Collins who supports Tim Scott. Even with a lot of PAC money this rising star is not gaining traction and has dropped to seventh place.
He goes on to discuss the other Non Trump candidates also not gaining traction-Trump is leading and will probably continue unless something happens with his legal problems and voters.
I don’t get it because people like Byron York don’t focus on why Trump is leading. It’s certainly not his personality or like ability by many. They used to say “It’s the Economy Stupid” as why people vote. To me “It’s the Country Stupid” and the reason President Trump is leading so much is most people see him as our only hope to save us.
I don’t read everything York writes, but does he not realize that our country is failing in so many areas mostly caused by corruption in Washington. The boarder, the economy, energy, foreign policy, corruption in our government institutions, our eroding culture…..If we don’t get back on track many believe our country is lost.

The paradox is exactly what/when we realize that we thought we ‘knew’. We see too often in many elderly folks who insist their age has served them well and they aren’t about to start what they call ‘changing’; especially when their faults are pointed out. That’s always to me, the dumbest thing ever coming from people who claim they are smart to have survived that long. Truism that old folks are set in their ways I always suspect was a kinder phrase coined.
Fact is, there are smart people who are stupid. Have we ever encountered these? Wilfulness based on self. When driving forces behind biases is the cause of our irrationality which is largely unconscious; impermeable to intelligence. Often we hear “What have I done to deserve this?” “I have no idea what’s wrong .. I’m smart, good-looking, successful, lovable ..” whatever. These driving forces are responsible for many of our everyday failings.

Gaza’s health ministry has said there are at least 500 casualties in the aftermath of the hospital blast, with “hundreds of victims” buried under the rubble. Gaza sources also say that a UN-run school housing refugees was attacked.
Initially, local emergency officials said there were at least 200 killed in the mid-evening bombing of al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City, but the count has been steadily rising. Now, per Al Jazeera: “The health ministry in the Gaza Strip says at least 500 people have been killed in an Israeli attack on al-Ahli Arab Hospital.”

The general sense from the House Democratic leadership is that they are FOR empowering a speaker pro tem — in this case, PATRICK MCHENRY.
The thinking is this — FROM DEMS: Stopping a Speaker Jordan is a big win for Dems. It’s also a win to open the House again and get approps/security supplemental done. And potentially work on rules change to tweak MTV, etc.
If Rs shut down the govt, that’s on them. But it’s important to get the House open.

I agree that, during times such as these, everything should be questioned.

What are your thoughts about that?
There are no “sides” to this story it’s black and white. Cause and effect. There was an explosion at or near the hospital (effect) where an incendiary device hit (cause). There is a multitude of documentation on the source of the device…its not like there is a debate there. What are you even talking about “suspicious cat”. Even cats can see video. And that the hospital is still standing, so there’s clearly a credibility issue among Hamas at the absolute minimum. SMDH
Pretty sure Sundance can take criticism whether it be positive or negative. He may even welcome the negative just so he can use his intelligence and sources to refute it.
It’s what makes a lively conversation and very enjoyable to read, instead of having a bunch of fans nodding in agreement with everything he says.
Not all people of Arabic descent are bad. Not all people of the Islamic religion are bad.
Not all Israelis are good. And not all Jews are good.
It’s important to look at all sides of a story in order to have an honest opinion.
People aren’t afraid to slam Black, Hispanic or Gay people if they do something wrong or horrendous, unless it’s directly to their faces.
But when it comes to Israel and the Jews people freeze up and hold back, as if they’re totally untouchable.
Why is that?

I believe it is because what happened to Jews (and others) at the hands of the Nazis was so abhorrent (and there are still people around with similar views about Jews today), that no one wants to appear to support such thinking to any degree at all.
