I think that I know why CA allows theft up to 995 dollars or whatever that amount is. The reason is that they want to close the stores and force people to use only the internet, like amazon, to purchase items. Once the brick and mortar stores are closed and the internet purchases are the only purchases that can be possibly done then digital id’s and digital currencies will allow the government to control citizens from procuring needed supplies. If you have been bad then online purchases will be stopped and there is no where to go to barter, trade, or buy with alternate currencies. You are trapped.

Update from Israel. Some mild rocket fire from Hezbollah at the north raising the chances of a massive war on that front. The Reserves call is the largest in decades. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers are mobilized. There seem to be a consensus in Israel that Hamas should be wiped off the globe. This means a long and costly war. Netanyahu need to agree and lead in that direction. Anything else and the people will fire him.
Israel was split and divided in recent times and that weakened the military. The key factor in war is the spirit of the soldiers and not technology or quantity of weapons (as was seen in Ukraine and in past wars of Israel). There is a strong feeling of unity in Israel right now and the reservists are determined to bring a massive victory and end the thing that is called “Hamas”. Shalom.

If you are a hard copy fan that loves to listen to full albums and not play the download songs game, I would suggest starting out with their first which is a cover of Vocaloid songs. Vocaloids are synthetic human voices developed by Yamaha, the first being Hatsune Miku, that people could use on their computers to create songs just as with all the software created to produce almost every instrument imaginable.
Well, the many of the songs created for these Vocaloids, actually performed in public, since they had the entire panoply of Western and Eastern instruments available, why not use them all? So that is what they did it seems, this first album is pure magic and the most energetic of all their work I believe.
For those curious, Vocaloid lyrics are not difficult to find online, and my favorite translator, DeepL.com, does an excellent job with most every task put to it, much much better than any other, and can be easily integrated with Windows for those of us constantly playing with languages and following news around the world.

I’m mildly aware of the Hatsune Miku/vocaloid stuff, that was new ground back when had to put aside many of my entertainment pursuits and work like my life depended on it to save my business interests during the recession of ’08 and after for several years. Prior to that, I did a fair bit of business with CDJapan and other multinational shops.
While I have generally preferred to buy my music on its backup media (CD), I’ll definitely investigate the download option if they offer lossless + no DRM.

I have yet to investigate lossless, but I truly would like to know where to start, such a shame that CD’s went with 16bit instead of 24, I think it was 24, almost criminal it feels to me.
I favor FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) for lossless audio because it’s widely cross platform and well, free. The ripping software I trust the most is EAC for Windows. It can be slow and fussy, but I trust it to do the best possible job.

He explains that all El Ninos are not equal and how to tell the difference and how this winter will not be a typical El Nino winter. This current El Nino is forecasted to be weak and short and for us to have La Nina conditions by next summer.
So his winter forecast is not what it would be if it were a strong El Nino. Or IOW it is going to be a colder winter many of us than if this were a strong El Nino. I have to say, he seems to have certainly nailed the Fall forecast. I just took the Geisha out and I could see my breath.

Update : The numbers are rising and now it’s over 350 murdered and 1800 injured. It’s hard to keep secrets in a small nation like Israel and we know we are not told everything. The numbers may be almost double. There are now long lists of dead soldiers that were released and some really high officers and a long list of police who died and also high ranks amongst them. It is inconceivable. The combat inside Israel is still going on. There are lots and lots of individual bravery stories.
There was a huge nature festival of young people with lots of dancing and many of them were taken hostage and killed.

The nation is facing one of its toughest Challenges ever. It’s a live or die situation. Apparently they even kidnapped babies into Gaza. Israel can’t let Hamas exist after this day. It will be a massive war and Gaza will be largely flattened after the civilians will be given some time to get away from there.
David, if I were captive in Gaza, I would want the biggest bomb possible targeted on my own head, it would be a mercy and spare lives and treasure lost to recover a captive uncertain to be alive yet sure to be tortured if living, there seems really only one way to win such a contest. Are there any thoughts of this nature amongst your fellow Israelis?
Gaza does need to be leveled and made a wasteland, I pray for your leaders and your people to have the inspiration, courage and strength to see this through. After a lifetime of half-measures, to this man it seems the only course at this time is clear.

The large nature party with probably a 1000 young people dancing was attacked and there were about 250 bodies in the areas.
Many many families and children were executed.
Lists of the soldiers fallen are getting longer with many high ranking officers. Its hard to understand how come?
The survivor from the Command and Control base that was conquered is saying that because it was a religious holiday and Saturday a half of the base was let go home to be with their families. She is saying that Hamas shot the cameras with shoulder missiles (RPGs) and there were no visuals and communications were also cut with bases.
I can’t sugarcoat it. The nation is in a shock. There are still fightings inside Israel and the military is still warning people in large buildings in Gaza that have Hamas infrastructure to escape just before they take down the buildings. There is criticism in Israel about this protocol.(they call it “knock on roof”. Sending a small bomb on the roof and giving the people in the building time to evacuate before a large bomb is landing). Lots of horrifying footage of abusing the captured including women and young children.
This is history. If Netanyahu wont be as tough as we want, he will be fired by the people. I know he is popular in the US but in Israel most of the Right wing consider him too soft and he did permit the Hamas to survive for decades because its easier politically to have a divided Palestinians between Hamas and others.
I just watched a line of captured terrorists get sandwiches to eat after they just executed whole families. This infuriates us. There is a strong grip of Liberals inside the security forces manly at the higher command level not so much on the ground.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Apples! Reminds me to get with it tomorrow and go get some local produce.
Went to local orchard mid Sept. for old time Red and Yellow Delicious apples but no Reds and the Yellows weren’t completely ripe. Big sad.
My fruit trees are really recalcitrant this year and didn’t bear any worthwhile fruit. Of course our native 4 legged white tail goats have been very damaging to the fruit and berry patch, nothing seems to permanently deter them.
My very favorite eating apple is Grimes Golden which is very rare and hard to find. The Yellow Delicious was derived from it. Just the right tart/sweet balance to my taste.
I have been advised to try and raise some French dessert apples and would love to try but have to find a better way to keep pests away.
Mine is Ambrosia. Sliced with a touch of salt. Bri vs out the flavour and the juices. For oies,Gala. They keep their body. I realise a mushy apple(sauce) pie.

Treepers & fellow Patriots. At the risk of sounding a bit, conspiratorial, I want to try and connect a few dots which may demand serious attention.
Thursday, the National Emergency Broadcast system was tested. Saturday the state of Israel was invaded, bombed and put on war footing.
Later that same Saturday, the OSU football game was delayed because of a drone invading the airspace of one of the nation’s largest stadiums.
While this drone was deemed a non-threat, let us realize this is, perhaps, not the last threat. This could and can be something very serious in the future. The response to this was quite cavalier in my opinion. Lets us realize, a dry, practice run demonstrates the ease in which over One-hundred (100,000) fans, players and others may be put in harms way with armed drone(s). Ohio State University employs hundreds of Mohammedans, many whom despise our nation. This type of real attack is not implausible and the act was proof of its potential.
There are hundreds of large stadiums with large crowds all over this nation and there are millions of anti-American invaders hiding in plain sight all over our sleeping country.
Be vigilant, be alert and take seriously the enemies within our gates.
The leadership in our country is neglectful and lawless. Do not trust them.

At the same time,if Hezbolah moves, massive airstrip against vehicles and infrastructure.
Further up the chain, Hamas financial supporters should also face retribution… including megadonors and their heirs. Objective being to atomize the activist wealth among the un-named progeny and watch them fight over the inheritance. Iran should be attacked where they generate drinking water and electricity as well as where they process nuclear material to destroy their stocks, cull the number of techs and create a Chernobyl like district there. Also,targeting political, religious and military leaders took chaos and grudges…
That’s what I would do.
