a few years ago, in the early morning, I saw something dark and box-like sitting on the ground. it was a baby owl who was mite-infested and waterlogged from the ongoing rains. he couldnt fly. by the grace of God, the local raptor man came, threw a blanket over him and took him home for rehab. a month later, he brought him back for release. before letting him out of the box, the man pointed to the exact tree the owl would fly to. I couldnt believe it. how wonderful to be of one feather with the owl. it was a holy moment for me.

this past winter i had a pygmy owl (pretty small compared to others) in my backyard who had a kill – a bluejay – in the snow and he sat there for like 6 hours consuming it, and then trying to drag it away. it was a little large and heavy for him. but he stood his ground as one predator or scavenger after another tried to get at it. and when i went out and took pics of him from very close range, he refused to budge, just staring me right in the eye.

Interesting timing on bringing up the topic of owls. I live rural and hear them quite a bit but it’s been months without that and I think it’s because the new neighbor cut one or more trees they nested in and/or frequented. However, just last night I heard that wonderful sound again. They have tons of trees in the area but between the cutting and a summer long drought it was quiet at night in regards to owls. Cows, coyotes and dog took up the slack though.
Towards evening the owl in the woods wants to know, ” Who cooks for you?” “Who cooks for you all?”
That would be a Barred Owl like i believe the picture is of a juvenile. If you are ever lucky enough to hear a Screech Owl, wow.
They are around but are hardly ever seen. I have not seen them where I am now, but have a handful of times were I used to live.

Many years ago I was stressing about an intense mechanical test I had to complete for employment. My goal was to ace it.
It was a night class and I went out for dinner on break.
As I got into my car I noticed an owl circling overhead. I thought how cool it was then watched, through my t-tops, as the owl stay above my car for about 6 miles.
Unlike Pocahontas Warren, I do have native American heritage. 😀
I took it as a good sign and sure enough, got the top score on the test later that evening.

I hear them in the trees late at night. When I brought home the new puppy, I would only take him out leashed….at 13 weeks, he weighed 6 1/2 lbs…just the right size for an Owl Snack….the squirrels in my yard were bigger.
There were a few nights where I distinctly heard two…I worked the pee runs around the owls and tried to not go out after dark.

I had a magical moment with an owl. I went out one winter morning to open the chicken run, which I had to get into from outside, and I looked down and saw a bloody mouse, dead. Motion caught my eye and I realized that there was a bird inside the run, and it was a tiny owl, maybe 5 or 6 inches from end to end.
I left the door open and tried to chase him (her? couldn’t tell) out, but that was a very stupid bird. It flew past the door several times.
So I gave up on chasing it out and caught it instead. I was wearing leather gloves, which was good, because I heard it clacking, snapping its beak at me.
I took it to the door and gently threw it upward. It winged over the pond and into the woods on the other side, absolutely silently.
It never got its mouse, which I felt bad about. True story. It was the most amazing thing.

Take a look at this man coolly and methodically cutting down and then rolling up “restricted area” fencing around the Capitol lawn. He had no Trump gear on, and made sure to wear dark sunglasses on a cloudy day. He was not angry. He was dispassionate, calm, and professional, like he was just there to do a job.
The significance of the fact that this individual was removing fencing before Trump’s speech was over, and thus before the crowd listening to Trump headed over to the Capitol, cannot be overstated. Ordinarily, the grounds surrounding the Capitol are not restricted, and it was only due to the fact that police erected barriers and fencing for January 6th that those entering the thereby designated restricted zone could be charged with “trespassing.”
By removing the barrier fencing before the massive crowds arrived at the Capitol, individuals like Fencecutterbulwark were effectively creating one of the nation’s largest legal booby traps in history, inviting thousands of people to unwittingly cross into the restricted zone whereupon they became vulnerable to indictments for “trespassing.”
Fencecutterbulwark remains unindicted. In fact, the FBI does not even appear to even be looking for him. He is wholly absent from the FBI Capitol “Most Wanted List.” There is no reward for information leading to his arrest.
Despite the DOJ and FBI’s [lack of] interest in this key player methodically cutting fencing demarcating the secured perimeter, online research communities have stayed on the case, compiling documentation of Fencecutterbulwark’s behavior.
One of the most telling things about Fencecutterbulwark is that he is photographed pre-positioned right at the initial decisive “Ray Epps Breach Site” as early as 12:31 p.m., a full 20 minutes before the breach kicked off. He was doing nothing except looking out past the fencing he would later take down.
This isn’t the most bizarre thing, either. Rather, it is the nature of the interaction that is truly bizarre. According to FreeStateWill, the undercover officer known as Roe said “appreciate it brother” as he witnessed Fencecutterbulwark removing fencing in the manner described above. Curious indeed.
Revolver has not been able to view the video in question that would depict the verbal exchange, as it is currently under a sensitive protective order issued by the court (strange, isn’t it?). Nonetheless, the still images above support FreeStateWill’s narrative of the exchange, which we hope will be made public as soon as possible as it is in the public interest.
That an undercover officer not only witnessed Fencecutterbulwark in action, but thanked him for his service, reinforces how bizarre it is that Fencecutter has not only not been identified, but that neither the FBI nor the DOJ seem to be interested in him.

BlackRock and JPMorgan top a list of banking pirates raking in profits because of the shifted economics of the Ukraine conflict. Prices for commodities tied to Ukraine and Russia are making investors in these and other firms ecstatic. However, real profit is on the horizon when government and public sector investments in the war-torn country have soaked up all the financial loss of the people of Ukraine and its decrepit government. We can already see what’s happening via Financial Times writer Brooke Masters, who says BlackRock, JPMorgan, and others will step in and take a privileged deal based on their “donation” of advising services.

When I first saw that Ukraines’s first lady (not that they really have that position over there) was meeting with or being interviewed by Hillary Clinton, I knew something bad was up, and I also saw Zelensky’s wife as a target of Hillary.
She’s not the actor her husband is, and Mrs. Zelensky does not look too happy about all this attention from the Clintons.
It’s as if they have the president’s wife as their hostage now, just in case he gets any ideas like seeking negotiations again.

You’re not imagining that the world has gone mad.
Healthy debate has been replaced by activist hysterics. Speech is declared violence, while violence is excused as speech. Masculinity is condemned as regressive, while men in skirts and heels are celebrated in the public square.
It’s easy to laugh at these outbursts as the ravings of a small but vocal minority, but the compromised health of our body politic is not a trivial concern. A strange, new pattern of psychological dysfunction has infiltrated our most prestigious institutions, our corporate bureaucracies, and the highest offices in the land.
In short, we’re sick. Our society is out of balance. We’ve been consumed by a cluster of disorder that appeals to our worst instincts and deranges our most important social functions.
We need to recover our sanity. But to do so, we must first know exactly what we’re dealing with: the emergence of a Cluster B Society.
