These combo OTC medications, Nyquil, etc. USED to contain a medication that WORKS, phenylephidrine, the active ingredient in Sudafed.
In 2008, because it was being used to make meth, Sudafed was moved to BEHIND the counter, i.e. you have to ASK for it, and show your drivers licence, etc.
However, these combo medicines, that combine benedril WITH Phenylephidrine switched to a DIFFERENT ingredient, instead which they have now detirmined is ineffective.
Most relevant is the 5th Circuits unanimous decision, regarding Ivermectin, sending the case back to the lower Courts.

So, when the FDA “detirmines” that a certain medication is effective, or inneffective, thats just an OPINION.
When it states a medication should only be available with a dr’s Rx., that also is only an OPINION, and State Governments are free to ignore such, as ONE State Governor did, in declaring Ivermectine “OTC” in his State.
Federalism is this powerful weopon that State Governors and Legislatures COULD use, to quickly cut the Federal Government down to size, if only we had at least ONE MAGA State Government, uncorrupted.
The FDA is the enforcement arm of Big Pharma. They will ban the inexpensive OTC products so you have to buy prescription drugs!

Does anyone remember in the 70’s when nasal neo-synephrine was revamped? The info then, said that one developed a ‘resistance’ to it. I forget what the active ingredient was…but I know it worked for me.
Phenylephrine is not good for those with heart issues…increases the myocardial oxygen demand and blood pressure, in higher doses.
Another issue, being Dick Durbin of IL wants to remove a lot of homeopathics and nutritional supplements (and OTC cold remedies?) from the OTC use.
A side note…Madigan of IL got caught in a bribery scheme with the electric company…and we now have a new Lithium battery factory slated for the southern burbs of Chicago? For EV’s? Charging them, too? With electricity? Duh!

My experience is that both pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine work for about an hour, then I go back to complete nasal congestion(and sometimes worse than I was the hour before taking it!) The inly difference is that pseudoephedrine makes my heart race, so I quit using it years ago.
Best to thank God for providing healing AND wisdom, get our nutrition and supplements right, then use every home remedy in the book! I plan to be young until I die at a very old age! 🙌🏻
I have had non-stop sinus infections for 1 year and 8 months. I have been bed ridden for days at a time because my body is so weary from fighting this.
Antibiotics would help to lessen the infections but I could not get my sinuses to drain. So what remained in them became an infection again. It was like I had pockets of crud inside my sinuses.
I have had sinus surgery which has helped over the years but something happened at the end of 2021/beginning of 2022. My sinuses just became very sick.
I used a Neti Pot for 20 years with great results but now, it actually made it worse. I could not unclog my sinuses. I took decongestants and allergy pills to no avail.
Around a month ago I started massaging my sinuses to get them to drain and it felt better for a week. Then I got sick again. I was close to a solution but still needed more.
I finally bought a percussion massager from Homedics which is smaller in size and use it on my face. I works like a “jackhammer” in that it rattles the clots in my sinuses loose and they drain. When I was first using it I would use it 15 times a day. Now I am down to 4-5 times a day especially while I am laying in bed in the morning and evening.
I still react to the allergies and my sinuses start to fill up again but I immediately put the massager on my face and start to drain it.
Ultimately, I think what happened is that during the covid lockdowns I had to wear one of those awful paper/fiber masks underneath my company approved mask. I think that those fibers from the mask formed masses in my sinuses that got stuck.
I am telling everyone about this miracle. At first it feels weird but then you will feel the clots coming loose and draining. Then it feels wonderful. I am getting my life back after nearly 2 years of suffering.

I have suffered sinus/allergy issues for decades. Recently, I woke up every day for 18 months sneezing for an hour and a half. I feared it was going to be part of my lifestyle but it stopped when I covered my bedding in hypoallergenic casing and wash my sheets in a particular detergent.
I suggest a self performed lymphatic massage. I start from the stomach and work up to my head while in bed (after prayers). The whole process takes minutes and I feel the drainage start as soon as I start.
The kicker is your stomach may become more defined if you do the top and side area. The results are temporary and sporadic but I swear by it.

Who knows what kind of particles end up in the nose from those chin diapers. Eat a clove of raw garlic each morning. It is an excellent antibiotic. Be sure to take a refrigerated probiotic about 2.5 hours afterward.

Yes, X-Lear works great for me in clearing my sinuses, esp when I kept getting sinus infections. It’s a saline solution that also has xylitol in it — I’ve read that the xylitol pulls the congestion out of the sinuses and helps it to drain. You can get it at a lot of health food shops.
Also, I went through a season of getting more sinus infections than usual. A good chiropractor found that my posture was lousy from sitting hunched over a keyboard as a writer all day. He said that my bad posture was making my lymph system like a clogged sink, because toxins were getting backed up from my neck up. Then I’d burn an infection, and the antibiotics would clear it up — until the next backup. The chiropractor got my posture back in line, and he gave me some exercises to keep myself sitting and standing straighter. That and the X-Lear have helped keep me free of sinus infections. I struggled with a similar chronic sinus blockage, that seemed to get worse post covid, although i did NOT mask up, admittedly not as severe as what you describe, but bad.
Tried several things to no avail.
I got a product called “Navage” thats about 2 steps up from a nettie pot; battery operated, it pumps saline water in one nostril, and sucks it out the other.
I added some witch hazel, tothe distilled water/saline, and it has greatly helped.
Might want to give it a try.

This summer I met a woman who has suffered with sinus infections for a long while.
We began to compare our “war stories” and I discovered that her doctor is a well respected one here in a metro town.
This woman’s sinus problems were so bad that she ended up having antibiotic infusions from an infectious disease specialist.
Eventually she got better.
She is now on a maintenance routine that her ENT suggested, and she hasn’t had an infection in four years.
She does a sinus rinse (NeilMed) using the bottle, in the a.m. and the p.m.
She uses distilled water – and even boils that.
Then, she adds one or two drops of Johnson no-tears baby shampoo to the rinse water. Doc says it has antibacterial agent in it.
If and when, my sinus issues arise again, I’m trying this. Especially before taking antibiotics again. Certainly can’t hurt!

For me, it’s that to keep his site “news” flowing he does a lot of clickbait-type headlines far above what the story or video warrants. And lots of exclamation!!! points. Stories appear there first and they are seldom wrong although they are criticized constantly. Most of that comes from the left and a never Trumpers. I land there first everyday. Used to read Redstate Watcher but their stories aren’t updated frequently and it is boring. I love the Treehouse and read it thoroughly, love the comments and check in frequently during the day.. It is much more in depth and educational than other sites.
TGP is my go to sight for “up to the minute, late breaking” with AT being for analyses Commentary of the op-ed type, and CTH for detailed analyses and the opportunity to comment.
I do not begrudge TGP a little bit of clic bait, headlines purpose is to draw the reader in.

The prosecution filed to call Paxton’s alleged mistress on Tuesday evening. The rules required 24-hour notice. They then tried to call her Wednesday morning knowing they had not filed in a timely manner. They also knew she was going to take the fifth and not testify to anything.
They deliberately filed late just to create a sheet show knowing she would not testify to anything.
If an affair is disqualifying for office, a whole lot of people are about to get disqualified.
A long time ago, I was present when an old doctor, born in the 1890’s, was lecturing a group of medical students about to receive their M.D. diplomas in a few weeks.

Back in the day, in my junior year of college and I swear some of my profs were born in 1890……we learned about how to avoid heart disease and what to be teaching our patient….which was the low cholesterol diet, low and no salt…blood pressure management and weight control along with appropriate exercise.
Right after the specific lecture, we did clinicals on the post open heart surgery floor and I was attempting to do patient teaching based on what I had been taught. The patient told me the doctor said it did not matter as it was a genetic thing…not related to diet…I asked the surgeon about it and the response was “new research findings…”.
Here we are…46 years later…and have no definitive conclusion. My only thought now, for either direction….
What is in the environment, the air we breathe, our food, the soaps we use, the lawn chemicals we use and water…that interacts with our bodies in a negative way…I think we will find more than the cause of cancers….

Nor is it “genetic”.
Its about gut bacteria, that digest fiber, and excrete B vitamins in a form our bodies can use to make enzymes that cleave up homocystiene.
A “course” of anti-biotics kills off these beneficial bacteria, we get low in B vitamins (especially folic acid) and so have homocystiene in our blood, which causes artheriosclerosis.
You can only plead the 5th if there is some potrntial criminal action for which you might be prosecuted. Unless adultery is a crime in Texas, how does her pleading the 5th over allegedly sleeping with a married man make any sense?
I guess it potentially saves her from committing the crime of perjury, so there’s that.
It’s not the affair. It’s how he pulled in the other people who worked in his office. That is wrong and put them in very uncomfortable positions. His moral character is what’s lacking here and the Bush acolytes are going to make the most of that and that supposedly public tax dollars were used to help him cover his tracks on his infidelity.
The reputation of the woman involved is highly suspect apparently and gold digger or a paid for by the Dems or Bush people femme fatale comes to mind. Famous man, bit of an ego, lust for a woman who was sent to do this by the guys enemies and voila. He got taken in and then tried to cover it up using his fellow workers and public money to do so. Maybe that isn’t what really happened, but that is the picture that seems to be emerging. Not sure how he’s going to get out of this with his job, but who knows. If his lawyers are good enough he might just get to stay on.
I believe that the only reason this was “leaked” to the media was an attempt to embarrass, belittle, and politically damage Ken Paxton. The Bushes have a great desire to damage Ken Paxton politically, even if the impeachment won’t result in a removal.
The mistress was supposedly going to be called to testify to the connection between Paxton and Paul, the donor. However, if she had been called to testify, she could have asked a number of embarrassing and scandalous questions.
The GOPe is just as evil as the Democrats. It is being fully revealed in this trial.
So, they call her as a witness, knowing she won’t actually testify, leaving the IMPRESSION that what they are alleging she would testify to is real, and yet she doesn’tcommit perjury by confirming their lie.

I read a book long ago where the author noted seeing a odd looking librarian who really stood out to him (late 80’s) in a library in Ventura county CA while he was doing research for criminal cases as he worked for the county Public Defenders office. He noted missing books. Years later he was in a different part of the county while he was working than for the Prosecution office doing research and saw the same weird looking librarian and found books missing! He surmised she was part of a marxist op clearing out certain books that were in opposition to their global agenda to destroy the West.
I checked my library and found that David Irving & Eustace Mullins & others were books that were in the card catalog but were not present. Either marxists had checked them out and never returned them or marxists within the library system removed them illegally.

I have noticed that voting is almost exclusively an emotional decision. Precious few people use dispassionate reason and logic when they vote. They think they do, but they don’t.
Changing someone’s mind is exceedingly difficult, and takes time. If you want to do it, keep it short. Their attention span for contrary information is very brief. Fellow Treepers, does anyone besides me find this new posting trend of turning each sentence into its own own paragraph off-putting? I know we have a level of intelligence here that can handle a paragraph that presents a complete thought and consists of more than one sentence. What I call “staccato” posts take up a lot of page space and break up the flow of thought. A stand-alone sentence has some uses, such a sentence to accentuate a point, but complete posts in this manner are unnecessary.
I respectfully ask that Treepers go back to the traditional way of posting. We can handle it.

Ummm . . . I’m not sure what you’re talking about. I see a mix of single sentence “paragraphs,” along with multi-sentence paragraphs. Could it have something to do with the device or browser you’re using?

Bewilder’s comment above, is a great example of what the guidelines reccomend, and IrishEyes comment, what the guidelines discourage.
As explained IN the guidelines, frequent double spacing, with short paragraphs makes long comments readable, on I phones.
Many people who use their phones to be on CTH have said that paragraphs are difficult to read on such smaller devices.
So I have decided to cater to their needs as a courtesy to them. It just makes it easier for their eyes to focus.
I understand what you are asking but, just as we have gotten used to acronyms, FWIW and ICYMI, the advent of texting has made people comfortable with one sentence (if that) forms of communications.
It’s a Brave New World and the previous 3 lines should have been one paragraph. LOL. FJB. MAGA/PDJT.

Treepers who post in the “separate but equal” style of text organization do so deliberately; not thoughtlessly, and do so for the purpose of visual clarity and ease of legibility on the eyes of the readership.
For many persons with aging eyes, in spite of prescription eyewear, lines can, and do, run together while reading block paragraphs on screen, especially when the block paragraph is long. Readers get lost in “where they were” in the composition of the text, particularly when there are multiple ideas contained within the block paragraph.
Most importantly, a while back, our site host requested, and has reminded us on more than one occasion, that we avoid writing in long paragraphs, and that we separate each idea into its own space. See the tab labeled “Comment Guidelines”.
Many contributors to the Comments sections respect the request and organize their remarks accordingly.

He made federal resources available for the states. Trump said it at the time and Trump repeated it to Kelly.
The author sets up a false assertion: that, at the press conference, Facui was (re)stating an Executive Order by recommending restaurants and bars shut down. There was no such order – it was a recommendation. In fact, the author included Trump’s response at the same press conference:

I watched some of the discussion on this yesterday (Thursday) on C-SPAN. Among other Calicrats who rose “to oppose,” Empress Nancy deigned to join the chorus, focusing—rather exclusively and with obnoxious repetition—on “the children” who deserve “clean air” to breathe.
What really caught my attention was how nearly every Dem. speaker referred to “extremist Republicans” or “extremist MAGA Republicans.” If this lexical ploy hadn’t been so pathetically obvious, it might have actually concerned me how “practical” and “reasonable” have morphed into “extremist.”
For those who may be interested, the final vote “ on HR 1435 (“Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act”) looked like this:

I just saw an exchange between some citizens in New York with a reporter who was asking them what they thought about AOC and her delegation visiting today to see what was going on illegal immigrants in New York. And this guy just blew up at the Reporter and said They Have Ruin Our City!!! and they will never be able to walk down these streets again. And the Media ask about voting for someone else and he said “It Doesn’t Matter because they’re not elected by us, they are elected by absentee ballots!” He was screaming to the top of his lungs.
