When I first started posting music videos (this was a number of years ago) I focused on classical guitar performances. A lifelong, although not great classical guitarist, it was gratifying reaching into the classical guitar performance library on the ‘Tube and finding the often wonderful guitar performances of famous and not-so-famous players who could entertain us with their classical guitar performances. As the years went on, however, I felt the need to branch out into other musical genres—all of which proved to be enormously enjoyable by the way.
Yesterday, however, my friend JWoo commented how much she enjoyed the solo classical guitar performances . . . This caused me to reflect on how much I enjoyed sharing these splendid performances by famous and not-so-famous but still world-class virtuosos classical guitarists.
What I’d like to do for the next few days is revisit these wonderful classical guitar selections—there are a lot of new truly splendid performances that I’d like to sample and post. I’d like to say to JWoo how much I appreciate her reminder about the classical guitar selections. I hope my listeners will enjoy my return excursion to classical guitar selections as much as I will. Enjoy, Treeper friends . . . And JWoo—my friend, darlin’ —- this one is for you. 🙂

Thanks! I’m getting by, but I did lose some hours in both my jobs.
Then one job has given me some extra duties, so I can have additional work each week – they said it’s because they don’t want to lose me. That’s really nice, and I really appreciate it. But overall it’s still less than before.
I really think I am where I’m meant to be. I feel like something will happen, and then maybe I will move on. I get a feeling like I need to be here for a reason. (??)
In unrelated news, I was so upset with a new friend who had been racist. I couldn’t believe it!! I called her out on it and after a heated debate, it turned out that she didn’t know what the word had meant – my anger must have really surprised her 😂😂 (and I’m not going to repeat it, because I do know what it means!)

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you.”
How does God speak to us? What does He say? How do we hear? and, How do we do what He say to us? Jude’s question was just this; How, Lord, will you reveal yourself to us, and not to the world? Well the Lord did not say, First, you have to get really quiet, and listen, and I will whisper to you. No, He did not say that! He also did not say, that He would make you restless, and impress some vague notion upon you, that you could force yourself to take as guidance. No, He did not say that either.
Jesus makes it as simple as it really is: “He that has My commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves Me . . . If a man loves Me, he will keep My words . . . He that loves Me not keeps not My sayings.” We do not have to send overseas, nor up into heaven, to go and fetch the word, that we may hear it and do it: but the word is very nigh us; in our mouth and in our heart; that we may hear it and do it.
What commandment has ever been given to man, that is really impossible for man to do? Not one! Does anyone really believe, that God would need to prove, or defend, His divine superiority to any of His creatures? Does a parent teach and govern his or her children, merely to assert domination over the younger? Or is it out of more knowledge and understanding, and love for the child, that instruction and discipline is given? Is the parent ever actually challenged or threatened concerning really being the parent, by a stubborn or rebellious son?
Whether its the Ten Commandments, or The Sermon On The Mount, or anything that God has spoken to us in the Scriptures; keeping and doing must come, can only come, from the heart.
Psalm 51:6 “Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part Thou shalt make me to know wisdom.” Wisdom is acting on the knowledge and understanding: wisdom is the opposite of folly; which despises instruction and knowledge, to walk in the imagination of his evil heart. “A wise son makes a glad father: but a foolish is the heaviness of his mother.”
1 Timothy 1:5 “Now the *end (the thing aimed at) of the commandment is charity (benevolence) out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith *unfeigned (without stage-playing):” When we think about that honestly; can we really say, That’s impossible; You ask too much? I think rather, that God who made us, “in His own image and likeness,” knows how He made us, and what we can and cannot do; and He looks especially for truth on the inward parts, and the sincerity of our words, by the actions we take; and He says, This I know you can do, if you will do right.
There is no great mystery to hearing His voice, to listening to God. For it is counted according to what a man has, and not according to what he has not. If we have been given a little to start with, and we come along well with that; He gives us more. When we are faithful in the little things; to be true to Him, and to hold our integrity, and take good judgment, and not sin; then He will give us greater responsibilities.
We do not have to strain and squint and twist ourselves into a pretzel, to be quiet and wait for God to whisper some special instructions. We have not been left to rely on “restless feelings” by which to guess about His guidance. God is sure able to speak with an audible Voice from heaven, any time He wants; but who would be able to hear that and live? He does not require from us to work up religious feelings, to bring up the Spirit. But He is gentle and kind, and He knows our frame; thus he has given us His Word through the Scriptures, and by the hearing of faith. We have the Holy Spirit given into our heart, to help us, and to keep us in the way; by teaching us all things, and bringing to our remembrance all that Jesus has said: that we might put it into action in our ordinary lives.
The reason for the letter of the law, and the writings of the prophets and apostles; is for us to know and understand the LORD, so that we walk with Him in Spirit and in Truth. Of all the examples of those in the Bible, of whom God testified, that they were perfect and upright, that they feared God and kept away from evil, whom He has seen righteous in their generations; Faith works by love! They showed God the sincerity of their love by keeping His Word, and doing it. That is the “substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We are justified by faith; and according to our faith we are made whole. The revelations come to us by the power of God; and not out of ourselves. Our part is the worthy response in our heart, shown by our actions.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Good morning fellow lying dog faced pony soldiers.
How nice it is to have multiple windows open to the various sites I will use to write weather and history posts and such, and to not have that add getting in the way as I write. I could view at least 6 windows at the same time if I need to. Probably more. I can drag windows seamlessly from one monitor to the other.
Still getting used to the keyboard and have to tweak the viewing settings on the monitors and stuff like that. I have barely scratched the surface of what I can do with this set up. I have never had anything like this before.

Hurricane LEE:
Anyone paying attention has noticed that the NHC track has moved around. It’s point of landfall has shifted from west Nova Scotia and then back to east Nova Scotia and then back to the center of Nova Scotia, and now shows the storm missing Nova Scotia and making landfall at that border of Maine and New Brunswick. Expect it to continue to shift around some. It is a very complex situation with the weather patterns and some models are still showing it hitting Cape Cod. So do not take the NHC track for the gospel.
At least the storm is gradually turning north now and has not strengthen as much as anticipated as it is doing so.
The faster the storm moves the more likely it is to stay east. The slower it moves the more likely it will jog west. The slower the storm moves the longer it will be over cooler waters and the quicker it will weaken.
The SPIRE (A private model) and JMA (The Japanese Model) have had Lee hitting Cape Cod all along. The European model is now getting close to showing that. The US GFS model has shifted the track 50 miles west and that is what is shown below. My guess is it will hit the Cape or at least sideswipe it and that would mean hurricane force winds reaching well inland.
But don’t be deceived. This storm is not like the last couple that have made landfall on Florida. Serious impacts from wind and heavy rains and storm surge will cover an area up to 500 miles from the storm center. This storms size is like those from years gone by and so don’t try using more recent storms as a frame of reference to determine how strong the effects may be based on the distance from the eye wall.
The strongest and furthest reaching winds of hurricane and tropical storm strength have tended to be in the NW quadrant.
Remember now that MA, NH, NJ have already suffered some pretty severe flooding the last several days. The ground is saturated already. Lee is likely to dump a lot or rain quickly, up to 4″ per hour possible along the eastern parts of these states and at the same time bring TS force winds and possibly hurricane force winds. Trees are going to be falling over like match sticks. Doesn’t matter if your on high ground, the ground will still be saturated and the anchoring of the trees compromised.

The Israelites wore sackcloth, a garment made of coarse, rough material, when they were mourning a death, when asking for healing from a prolonged illness, or with sorrow when pleading for forgiveness for a sin that was committed.
Psalm 30 records King David’s words as he rejoices over God’s hand in his life for protection, or possibly for healing. Whatever it was, David had cried out to the Lord for help and mercy (vv. 2-3, 8). When it was given to him, he was overjoyed with praise and thanksgiving, and threw off the sackcloth… God “clothed me with gladness” (today’s verse).
When the night seems long at times – you mourn over the death of a loved one, you suffer an illness that has sapped your strength, or there is sorrow in your life due to your own or another’s actions – rely on God to take care of you. Plead for His mercy, grace, and guidance in the situation. He alone can give you peace.
Pray for those who have not known the Savior in their life to this point to come to experience God’s Word that brings peace and joy where there has been distress and sadness. Paul and Barnabas brought the Gospel to the people of Antioch, and when they heard the message and believed in the Savior, “they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord” (Acts 13:48).
Believer, be clothed in gladness for you have been saved. As you grieve over the great sins of this nation, pray for the people to repent and turn to the Lord. Cry to the Lord for His help and mercy to heal this land and save its people. He alone can turn your mourning into dancing!

I remember a story I heard, about a parent telling the child the story of Enoch, how he walked with God: “Every day he just went farther and farther, until one day the LORD just said to him; “You’ve come so far today. Why don’t you just come in?”
While we are at home in the body, we are away from home with the Lord. We feel loneliness and such emptiness in this world! We wish we could have the comfort and encouragement of brothers and sisters who are like-minded, of one heart and one soul, like they had in the beginning; but they are exceeding rare, few and far between.

Brothers and sisters and the closest friends, WILL tell the truth, and say what they think is right, when their loved and respected friend or sibling does not right, or is heading in a wrong direction. It may make that person very unhappy and pouty for a time; but it was meant for their good; that they should rethink and be careful of their choices.
Sometimes those broken fences cannot ever be mended. Sometimes hurt pride is just too hard to get past; and anger and evil thoughts fester, until they turn into a cancer; and that person wastes away in bitterness and unforgiveness; just because they could not be told anything or corrected. Its all so childish, and good for nothing!
It used to be, that family and friends could speak their minds freely, even if there was disagreement; and there would still be respect and civility. Nowadays, selfishness is at such a peak, and people are so used to being undisciplined and insubordinate, that anything or anyone who upsets this, they are ready to go to war.
If someone is of another political party, or says things that chafe against their comfort zone; then there is hell to pay! Is this how Jesus said we should be to each other? Is this the example He gave us? Is this how all the saints and martyrs reacted, to REAL PERSECUTION?

A little update for my absence…
In my spiritual quest for insight into today’s hell hole the world has found itself, I found that my most compelling question became…where is the Spirit of God? Why does He seem silent? Can we expect anything from Him in the same fashion as the early church, showing signs and wonders of His SOVEREIGN POWER?
So I ordered Smith Wigglesworth’s complete collection of his teachings. I ordered Spurgeon’s complete set of all his sermons. And then I ordered ‘The Unabridged Collected Works of Jeanne Guyon’. And I have been reading…and seeking God.
By far, the book from Guyon is the jewel that opened up the vast spiritual knowledge that opened my eyes to quench the heart burning desire I have to find my way into the complete surrender of living for and in God.
I honestly confess, that I knew of, but never understood enough to experience what steps needed to be taken to completely sacrifice my life totally to God. Total sacrifice! The painful journey Guyon went through and her subsequent victory in Christ, showed me what is required for God to use me as vessel of His work here on earth. I’ve often wondered why the ‘church’ today has no power, no victory on a large scale (although there are scattered testimonies). I understand now that the Blood of the Lamb, and/or the Sovereign Power of God, cannot be unleashed through a soul that has not given up (died to) itself. God will never share His power through me until there is nothing left of me but only of Himself.
There is an old saying that shows how corrupt the human soul is even within the best people: Those who rebel against an evil power and win, then become the power…then they become evil to keep that power.
This is why God will not share His Sovereign Power with anyone that has not gone through the dying of self. So where are those that will bend down and totally give themselves up in order for God to have vessels to use? I know that I am not there, but my fervent prayer is to find that place in God Himself that one day He can use me in such a fashion.

I am digesting what you have written, sweet friend. Is there a more incredible journey than the one you embarked on? It seems you have paused long enough to share your revelations with us, your Treehouse family, in the sense that even though this journey is one we each must take individually what you have learned from your voluminous reading can assist us in ours. And I am grateful for that. There is so much to contemplate with your words. The poignant quote from Lewis who we know finally understood his suffering and accepted it has added meaning for me because of your post this morning. And I am grateful for that as well.
Finally, I don’t know if this marks a return for you to this branch of refuge or if it is a temporary moment as you move forward. But I do hope at some point you will continue to keep us near to deliver your insights, or signposts as I will think of them, for our ongoing journeys.

I suspect the over-the-counter minerals and vitamins will soon be in for the same treatment so have pulled out some of my old herbal books to know what to plant in the garden next year, have slowly been expanding the herb patch from the usual oreganos, basils, thymes and parsleys.
Have a textbook first published in 1886, Father Sebastian Kneipp called “My Water Cure” which has a great section on the herbs used back when. Found it in a Salvation Army store in San Diego back in the 1970’s and bought it out of curiosity. Turns out there is quite a famous spa in Germany based on his herbal remedies, mostly for using in his various bathing and compresses techniques for the ailments of those days. He’d been the physician for Pope Leo XIII, King Edward VIII when he was still Prince of Wales, and other dignitaries. My thinking is, if our current hall monitors get it into their heads to make every OTC product be prescription only it may be a sign to go old school and grow our own remedies!
Years later someone had ‘borrowed’ my original hardback copy and about a decade ago found paperback reissue of it online so scooped it up. Have tried some of his compresses and was surprised, they worked quite well.

Is anyone else getting virus warnings and transferred to other sites? It’s been happening for a few weeks and TCTH is the only site I’m having the problem with.
This has been noticed by many here over the past month or so; turns out it is most likely the browser we use for visiting the different sites. I make sure to clean the cookies and such and then when the warnings pop up simply hit the back button or go to one of the other winders that I have open, and then simply return to the site. At the most I’ve had the pop-up routine recur 3 times when doing that back button process and then the virus and or pop-ups stop.

Good news! It appears my guess is going to wrong! All of the latest model runs, except the JMA (Japanese model) show Lee’s track shifting back to the east. Not all the way back to a landfall in Nova Scotia but passing just west of the western tip of it. Far enough so that the impact at Cape Cod and New England should be reduced to that equivalent to a typical Nor’easter.
This is happening because Lee is speeding up a bit. Even a change of 1 or 2 mph makes a big difference over time.
