Too bad Texas is so energy poor and has to rely on windmills, etc.
Part of the reason is the idiotic use of windmills to supply power! They don’t work in freezing temps, I know for a fact, and we find out now that don’t work in 100+ degree temps for weeks and weeks because there is very little wind and once again the windmills don’t work!!! So windmills don’t work when it’s very cold or very hot which is really the only time energy grid is tested!!! But fossil fuel energy works whether it’s cold or hot!!!! All this for climate crisis hoax!!!

Wind’s installed capacity yesterday at 2:00 PM was 39,411 MW or about 25.1% of our capacity. It was generating 2,481 MW or about 6% of its installed capacity. Or put another way, our demand at that time was around 79,000 MW. So that 25.1% installed capacity was actually producing only about 3.1% of our electricity. For 2022, we had 968 hours where our demand was high (>=65,000MW). Wind produced less than 10% of its installed capacity 8.6% of the time, and less than 20% of capacity 26.6% of the time. You can actually download the data from ERCOT which shows installed capacity for each method of generation, how much was produced, and percentages for each hour of the year. Most of my close family understand this and are somewhat MAGA. When the few who aren’t spout their Nutter Zero stuff I will pull up the data which I have graphed and show them why we have the problem. They shut up pretty quick. Some actually have come around, at least on the Nutter Zero. Getting them MAGA is a lot harder.
I am so sick of GOP politicians saying we need to pursue an “all of the above” strategy and pretend like green energy will every be worthwhile. It won’t. It’s a major scam enriching billionaires and China. I’d like to hear a politician say that we should quit subsidizing it.

Liberty Safe markets itself as the trusted brand for liberty-minded Americans, advancing the idea that it’s a company run by rugged, freedom defending individuals who are looking out for the American everyman.
As it turns out, they’re the exact opposite of what has been advertised.

There is a principle notably absent from the UniParty’s emphasis on “our democracy” in this and other similar statements. The principle of consent. The most important phrase in the Declaration of Independence is “the consent of the governed” because the entire point of the document was and remains to establish the principle that “We the People” have the final say in our own governance. And neither King George III, the British Parliament, nor our own Loyalist brethren at the time had any right, divine or otherwise, to govern without the consent of the people themselves.
That is the essence of the MAGA movement; as President Lincoln asked at Gettysburg, can a nation “of the people, by the people, and for the people” survive in this world. “Our democracy” as virtue-signaled by these hypocrites, is nothing more than the consent of the political class, and we live and pay taxes to support their goals, desires, benefits. The reason election integrity means so damn much is that it is the only way to assure that we do govern ourselves, that we have consented. And there is simply no way to conclude from what we now know that true consent has been given by the People for quite some time.
If I get beat in a fair election? So be it? If I change enough minds in the interim, I can elect who I want next time. What they’re true definition of “our democracy” really is, is do what we want, when we want it, and pay for it. Bastards.
