Unfortunately …”they” have been instigating situations that draw up old feelings from 40years ago or more. Living through many decades of white male suppression and racism is now coming to a head. At a local state park which has a group camp site, the camp site is occupied with what looks like a tent encampment for illegal aliens. It has been this way for about a month now. I’m in Oregon and the park is Milo McIvar State Park. The park is located in a republican led county and the area is Trump Country.
There was no notification sent out to the local residences of the state’s plans to put up the tent encampment. I know of the encampment because I hike the park on a regular basis and passing thru the group camp area had been on my hiking rout. I have modified my rout. I’ve been hiking at this park for 30 years and very rarely was the group camp area used during a week day and never for a whole month.
