We are, G. We are MAKING it a great Labor Day holiday.
We had a Savannah day yesterday.
Started with the movie “God’s Not Dead” in the morning. Cory Oliver who plays Mina is a close friend of our dear friends. Savannah was blessed to meet the Newsboys who are featured on her 13th birthday and had the stadium VIPS sing happy birthday to her. She loves the Newsboys… loves them. GOD’S NOT DEAD!!! This movie teaches us to combat those who seek to destroy our faith and teaches apologetics and effective ministry.
Went to the Arts and Education Store where she purchased some paint by numbers kits and some art supplies.
Then to the Saraga International Market in Castleton where you can go through miles and miles of new and exciting things for those who enjoy cooking. The meat department is a special adventure where they had LIVE catfish the size of large children gaping and gulping through the glass aquariums placed at floor level for the children’s amazement. You can purchase literally anything there… including grubs if they suit your fancy. This is not like a wet market… imagine fancy version… with every fruit and vegetable under the sun. I especially enjoy the spices and bouillons. And a beautiful bakery filled with pastries of the world.
Then to Caplingers Fish Market for dinner of fresh fish, collard greens, Chipotle slaw and our favorite Calamari fries.
Lastly, home to watch the movie “War Room” which reminds us of most excellent way to pray for one another.
We fill our minds with that which we find good, pure, and Holy.

Morning Bet! Sadly, there’s plenty of sugar in fruit. Raspberries and blackberries are the lowest in carbs, strawberries aren’t too bad, either. Also, found out that dry red wine is very low in carbs, and whiskey has zero.

In Texas you can’t say security unless you’re licensed security officer by the state. But you can be a greeter and provide safety. Hint, hint… 😁. And as soon as it gets cooler Nipper and I will begin his training first with a 22 Ruger rifle.
Learning to shoot as soon as you can hold the gun (.22 rifle for me at age 7 or 8) is a long Texas tradition. Terrifies city folks. It also terrifies ’em when they realize how many people here routinely go around armed. 🙂

Savannah is old enough for a variety of different calibers. Our now 23 yo granddaughter got a shotgun for her 16th birthday from Busy Lizzie and I. This weekend she is hunting in Mississippi together with her boyfriend.
In the North East of Scotland, in their dialect (Doric) a ‘greeter’ is a person who cries a lot. :-)) She greets a lot.

Good for him, Gramps. When we were around 8 or 9, in addition to learning to shoot we were also busy building treehouses in friend’s back yards. We haunted scrap lumber and nails from new houses being built. Looking back the piles of “scrap” lumber neatly piled up next to those open kegs of nails conspicuously left out for us to find kept us busy all summer long. Those carpenters, all dads most likely, were nice guys. 🙂

My first word too was “Dang!” We had homemade Ceasar salad with homemade croutons from brioche bread. The Ceasar had a horseradish dijon, worchestershire, raw egg, anchovies in olive oil, and mayo instead of EVOO. Wanted creamy instead of oily.
It would make a lovely pairing with that beef!

You grab some eggs and do whatever you wanna do with’em.
I’ll bring the Wright brand bacon and all will be good!
Eggplant Parmesan sounds good too!
Gotta go find some ribeye….
Here you go:
Take a metal nonstick muffin pan.
Cook your thick sliced Wright Hardwood Smoked Bacon until half done.. translucent.
Line the muffin cup with the bacon, fatty side down so the grease drains to the bottom for nonstick and wrap it around the edges.
Drop a large egg in the middle a lot like a filet mignon.
Dash of ground black pepper… NO SALT… NOT ANOTHER THING. YOU’LL BE TEMPTED.. DON’T DO IT
Place in 400 degree oven about 20 minutes until egg is hard cooked.
Scoop out and serve these little delicacies. Awesome for group holiday or for awesome leftovers.
Good hot or cold.

Here’s a funny story…
My favorite vegetable farmer has a sign that points to his summer stand. Next to it this year, popped up a You-Pick-Wildflowers stand up the road.
Of course, we traveled to check that out! What we found was this mild mannered, 50 something year old woman, with her little lean to and her table arranging the most glorious bouquet.
It was her small farm and rows upon rows of flowers taller than we are… though we are only 5 ft 3 in tall.
Glorious glorious flowers of ever species, color, and dynamic grown in our Central Indiana home.
She is a retired aerospace engineer and decided this would be how she spent her days.
She charges $30 for a bouquet, though, which was too rich for our blood that day… besides you can get two HUGE bouquet at Trader Joe’s and they last 2 weeks if you cut their stems under water…or at least they used to.
We did see a sweet young couple who appeared to be on a date making memories as they gathered their flowers together.
Love that woman’s entrepreneurial Spirit and her taking a stand to push back on the ugliness of the world… through flowers.

If your entrepreneur has been working in an industry which by its nature takes in all of God’s creation, she probably appreciates even and especially that miracle of a single flower. There are many very interesting and exciting passages in Scripture, where men are transported into the “heavenlies,” and the eternal realms; or when persons visited men here from out of the unseen. For example, how does God give us visions in the night while we sleep? as He did with Joseph several times! Angels appearing to the man of God, with a countenance “like lightning” and the ones who were with Daniel had such a terrible dread and trembling take hold of them, that they could only flee! Ezekiel’s whole ministry began with a vision into the eternal realms, the unseen world of the heavenlies.
I think that Moses and Elijah appearing in glory with Jesus was like this: Moses’ spirit; like when Samuel’s spirit appeared to Saul; and Elijah was still alive from when he was taken up into heaven in the chariot of fire. How was John given the Vision of the great Book of Prophecy, which we call, Revelation?
One day we will know! 🙂

This is our customary Sunday benediction, Treepers. It is s moment where we celebrate our eternal connection to Our Dear Lord. Have we experienced receiving His Grace before? I suspect many of us here have had that blessed and magical experience. Words simply don’t describe that unique entirely mystical feeling. If you have not accepted Christ as your savior . . . all you have to do is ask and your in. Honest
A year ago this coming Monday, my dear wife of 55 years passed away. She was the love of my life. She’d suffered from Alzheimer’s and for 18 years I was her primary care giver. Those years were blessings for us. It was at time where fell in love all over again.
For so many years our relationship maintained despite numerous serious difficulties. What allowed us to make it through these troublesome times? For 55 years we trusted each other and and were loyal to each other.
I always absolutely knew that, whatever happened, I could always trust her and know that she was loyal to me. I was the same with her—nomatter what. RIP Maggie. When I wake up many mornings I still think you are lying here next to me.
Be well, Treeper friends. Always know that Our Lord loves us and watches over us.

I knew the anniversary of her passing was in September, dear friend. And I know the day will be one of memories, probably too many to count. I remember your telling us on several occasions after a particularly difficult day or night that you felt the Lord’s presence and then the calm it brought to you. I know you miss her, Garrison. Bless her soul which is at rest. And bless you for allowing us to be a part of your life, to walk with you as you continue down that road which will eventually meet up with her once more💕🕊.

9/18 is both the birthday of my dear Greek friend, Kristine, who passed away and the anniversary of my mother’s death 41 years ago. She died when I was 9 years old when she was walking and hit by a careless driver.
My mother was not much of a mother… leaving a young child home alone in the middle of the night to satisfy her need for smokes putting me in a most difficult predicament for several hours… plus giving me severe lung issues with her habit… but folks can teach you how NOT to act as much as positive influences… like my Greek friend… can teach you how to act.
My Greek friend lived her life ooomphaaa! There was not a person she didn’t make to feel like family even if they were someone privately she didn’t care for. She was magnetic. We spent many a time cuddled together giggling and sharing and many meals I served at my table that felt like “home”.
My daughter and I would giggle from our bedrooms, as Kris would come to her second home late at night with her black little dog, Soldier. And in her very loud Greek voice yell outside
“Soldieeeeer! SOLDIER! Don’t EAT your poop!!”
We would whisper to each other in our bedrooms in the dark “Kris is home” as we laughed in our beds. God, she was so funny.
She died on a Sunday, but that Thursday she called us and she said over and over “You ARE FAMILY. You ARE FAMILY.” I made my daughter sit down next to me and put Kris on speaker… I knew this was important.
I knew it would be the last we would talk with her and we have her voice recorded on our answering machine…her beautiful sing song voice “Heeeey Joooan, it’s Kriiisss”
Garrison, I love you so much, brother. Your faithfulness and loyalty to your beloved shows people like me that it can happen.
Never happened for us, but God Has also saved us from terrible tragedy and we are grateful not to be in the grips of a terrible narcissist and my daughter’s mind is whole and protected.
We thank God for our peace and our safety for today. We must thank Him for the good and what feels like the bad for Romans 8:28 reads that “ALL things work for the GOOD of those who love HIM and who are called according to HIS PURPOSE.”
We THANK GOD that in our Heaven all will be restored fully, completely, in the purest Holy Joy. Not a single tear and not one iota of illness. Purity. Holy. GOD the Father, Christ His Son, and our Holy Spirit. What a true and faithful friend we have in Jesus.
I love you Garrison and I love your Maggie too. Can’t wait to meet her. ❤️

Re: Little Tink. For such a tiny little kitty, she’s quite fierce when it comes to protecting her yard. Of late she’s been spending her evenings outside in the backyard. The other night I heard the beginning of a cat fight. My neighbor’s white kitty had “invaded” Tink’s space and she was having none of that. When I went outside, there was tiny little ‘Tink—all six pounds of her—facing a much bigger kitty. She wasn’t giving an inch. Fortunately, white kitty got the hint and ran home when I shined my flashlight on her. Little ‘Tink has the heart of a fully grown Main ‘Coon kitty.

Early Sunday morning and the evil static in the air is so thick you could cut it with a knife. It says in the end times it will increase but Gods grace will increase, it’s not for all just those who recognize it. It comes with reaching out for his spirit and direction, most will not.
Many will rejoice in the evil that influences people and reject our lord.
I realized the faith we have been given, it’s inherent in all of us. It says in the manual Matthew 11:12 the violent take the kingdom by force. It means in faith we go forward with our desires to inherit the kingdom, not in fear. Maybe…..like a bull charging straight towards its target, in violence.
All of us, without thought, have done things and never looked back, that’s faith. To step out of the boat without considering circumstances. It’s the achievement of the greatest as that faith is exercised. Gods kingdom is exactly that way, taken in faith. You don’t ask for a place to live, you find it. You don’t fear getting a job, you get one. And, if you don’t succeed you don’t quit until you do. All of Gods promises are the same. The issue has become, we do not value what Gods kingdom is about therefore we don’t practice and achieve. Healings, miracles, acts of faith. Jesus had no fear his faith was perfect. The Bible is Jesus. By consuming his word we perfect our faith.
Gods grace will increase through us.

Good Morning all. Hope you all enjoy your Labor Day weekend and have a blessed Sunday.
Nothing threatening on the tropical front though we are now entering another period when conditions are prime for a strike anywhere along the east coast. Nothing of note on the convective outlook either.
We have never hit 100 deg. F at my central Indiana home this summer though we have had several days in the 90s. Got into the high 90s a couple times with 98 being the highest temp I have recorded. What has been most oppressive has been the humidity. The dew has often been so heavy that one would think there had been a light rain. Our nice break with highs in the low to mid 70s and even a couple days highs in the high 60s and lows down to the 50s is over and warmer weather has come back in for the first 10 days or so of September. No rain in the forecast for the next 10 days either hough that could change.
So it’s back to the cycle of getting heavy outside work done in the morning before it gets too hot or in the evening as it starts to cool down a bit.
Today I go fill up the FJ and my mower gas cans. I keep 25 gallons in 5 gallon cans when I fill the ones I use up. I have a couple of other 5 gallon cans I don’t usually fill up and use. For my gas chainsaw I buy the premixed stuff in a can because that gas has no ethanol or additives in it and those are not good for small 2 cycle engines. I also need to buy another 1/2 gallon of bar chain oil for the chain saws. Always before when the mowing season ends and all the leaves that have fallen have been mulched with the mowers, I have refilled the cans and put Stabil in them to run the generator if needed.
But I figure on having a whole house standby generator installed before deep winter comes and so this year will just do one can to have on hand for the snow blower. However as usual I will put Seafoam in the mowers with the last bit of gas in their tanks and run them until they’re empty and I will clean the air filter on the push mower.
This year, besides changing the oil, oil filter, and plugs on the zero turn it is time to change out the fuel filter. As usual sharpened blades will be put on and grease injected in all zerts before she is put away for the winter. Everything for the zero turn comes from a tune up kit sold for the Kawasaki engine. I always use only the Kawaski oil specifically specified for that engine. Something a guy that services mowers told me was the way to go. I do the full service every 1oo engine hours which is easy to keep track of since the mower has a hours gauge on it.
My other task is to dig ash out of my firepit and shovel it into bags. I save my water softener salt bags, my dog food bags, and my bird seed bags and shovel the ash into them and then a few at a time put them in the trashcans. I do not spread the ash anywhere because I have burnt old furniture and box springs and stuff like that in the firepit and so there are various pieces of metal in the ash. Not worth the effort to use a magnet to separate it. Steve does the same for the ash in his firepit. They burn all their paper and recycle all of their aluminum can and since I have two large Waste Management cans and hardly ever use the 2nd one, I let Steve put their one bag of trash in my cans for pickup. In return Steve takes my cans out the road and brings them back in if I don’t do it. Trash pickup is Wednesday morning.
The chief cook and bottle washer has already informed me that since she is going to help me by holding the ash bags open as I fill them, she is taking a break from cooking today and wants me to pickup KFC with mashed potatoes and gravy and coleslaw for Sunday dinner when I go for gas. I shall comply.

The huge litters which were in so many of these put me in mind of a girl I knew long ago (decades and decades) who had a Red Setter which had a litter of 12. This young woman sold them all ($250 each) and with the proceeds she financed a whole semester at the University of Texas. This was back in the day when it didn’t cost one’s first child to go (so to speak). I wouldn’t dare guess what she could ask…and get… today.

In reference to “Mules”; I know that I am late to make any comment. Even though I am retired I still find myself up to my eyeballs in work to do around the house, yard, garden, and such.
Back in the early to mid 1990s I somehow heard or read the deeper meaning of the children’s nursery rhyme titled; Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat, Where Have You Been?.
Because of our daughter’s age I was highly involved with the teenagers of our church. One evening I had a bonfire with a weenie and marshmallow roast. After everyone had eaten all they could eat and things were settling down I asked them if they remembered that nursery rhyme and if they knew the deeper meaning of it.
Well of course they remembered the nursery rhyme, but no one had any idea what I was talking about as to the deeper meaning.

The Deeper Meaning
What you Are determines what you See.
What you See determines what you Do.
What you Do determines what you Get (or chase after).
I finished by explaining that everyone is capable of changing what they are. It just depends on what you choose to focus on and or learn or study.
There are two Latin phrases that I have been trying to memorize;
Non sum qualis eram
I am not such as I was
or
I am not the kind of person I once was
(this could be interpreted as being my character and or, especially at my age, my physical ability)
Sum quod eris
I am what you will be
(this, I believe is definitely in reference to old age and physical ability)
Now how in the world does all of that have anything to do with “Mules”? I sometimes think that repeating just the title of a poem to a knowledgeable person can express your thoughts, or maybe a caution, or other such information that you want to convey.
While listening to one of my Playlist on SoundCloud Leonard Cohen’s song; “Everybody Knows” played. That reminded me of another way to express your message to someone who is tuned into your “language”.
Erudition is not prized today as it was, I truly regret to say. The study of poetry is not a frivolous exercise many would consider it to be. Would that it were required in schools. I’ve spent many hours trawling through poetry through the ages. The language employed in it is breathtaking. As for interpretations and meanings, yes. A language all its own.

The matter was in the most capable of hands by our matrons of this beautiful board.
I’m trying to learn the following rules to keep my mind on as Holy of things as I possibly can:
1) Do not feed the trolls. There are provocateurs out there, narcissists who feed on both positive and negative responses. They suck the air from the room. Your engagement, even in anger, fuels them. Don’t fuel them. Want to see them spontaneously combust? Pay them no heed.
2) We have all learned that “What we permit, we promote.” We are not the masters of this board and we can only flag things… it takes ten.
3) Some of the most beautiful souls are on this board. One such Mr Frank Fields sent me a prayer at the most opportune time and could very well have shielded me from danger. We are grateful for you being the Light and Salt of this earth. The God of Glory does not repel those who earnestly seek Him and He would have no follower of His be badgers especially those who would grieve their children. We test followers of Jesus by their fruits and there are too many bad actors out there. God knows. Leave the imposters to Him.
4) “Vengeance is thine saith the Lord.” I would say to evildoers: “Depart from me oh you of wicked intent. I cast you out and leave you to The Lord’s Devices for recompense. Your tearing, disunity, corruption, and malevolence have no power or authority here.” Casting out is one of our gifts as believers.
5) To tear down another’s Spirit for the sole purpose of arrogance, self elevation, and self glorification… is not leading. It is the whimper of a coward who ascends himself on top of tears and hurt. Gentle discord and discussion can win souls, but harsh words through emboldened ego… can turn them and abandon them to the abyss through their turning and rejection of all that’s Holy… due to a futile and simple minded ego.
6) Followers choose their leaders. Not vice versa.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

9/3/2023 – The power of the Lord was there for to heal them
Luke 5:17-26 “And it came to pass on one of the days and He was teaching, and there were sitting by Pharisees and doctors of the law, who were come out of every village of Galilee and of Judea and of Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was there for to heal them: and behold, men carrying upon a couch a man who was paralyzed, and they sought to bring him in and to place him before Him; and not having found by what way they should bring him in on account of the throng, going up on the housetop, they let him down through the tiles with the little couch, into the midst before Jesus. And seeing their faith He said to him, Man, your sins have been forgiven you. And the scribes and the Pharisees began to *reason (debate, dispute, think), saying, Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who is able to forgive sins, except God alone? But Jesus knowing their reasonings, answering said to them, Why reason you in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, Your sins have been forgiven you, or to say, Arise and walk? But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on the earth to forgive sins, He said to the paralyzed, To you I say, Arise, and having taken up your little couch, go to your house. Whatever the reasons everyone had for coming to see and hear Jesus; whether recognizing it or not; that the Holy Spirit was directing it; would eventually be made manifest in each one received what he had seen in Jesus. Of the three various kinds mentioned; some would go home as they came, still sick and bitter, and only made more hostile to Jesus; many would have been given an amazing answer to their curiosity, and struck with fear, compelled to think seriously about what God had shown them; and a very, very few, one to be exact and his four friends who brought him, would receive a life changing blessing and miracle.
In spite of the fact that the Pharisees and doctors of the law came in their own estimations, as the judges of Jesus, and the supreme authorities over the people; it is made the first point, how that the power of the Lord was there for them to be healed. From this we may think a number of things; which would all be helpful for understanding how some may receive healing, while others are sent home as they came, unchanged.
The Lord did have compassion on those old men, for their sicknesses and afflictions. And it wasn’t about their thinking and judging, but about HOW they thought and judged, that eventually cut them off from God’s intended blessing for them. On that point, God NEVER wants His people to stop thinking and judging for themselves; but that our thinking be according to His Spirit and His words, and we judge righteous judgment. Otherwise how could we possibly at all exercise discernment and take decisions to keep a good conscience and hold fast our integrity? Or how could we care for one another in the way God has commanded us, if we weren’t allowed to think and judge?
John 10:36-38 “Say you of Him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, You blaspheme; because I said, I am the Son of God? If I do not the works of My Father, believe Me not. But if I do, though you believe not Me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”
Even after their initial response of hostility and accusation, He is still patient and respectful, and kindly He responds, by trying rather to get them to wait until they have seen and understood everything, and then to judge intelligently; and not out of an automatic response of pride and unbelief and debate. The Lord knew the debate in their hearts that guided their thinking, and eventual unjust judgment; and so He said to them, Why do you reason so and dispute in your hearts? Volumes could be written on that question alone; and of how it is precisely that inclination in a man’s heart, that keeps him from being healed.
“But that you may know . . ” Again, the Lord NEVER tells someone to stop thinking. It wasn’t the thinking and the judging in itself that was wrong; but the spirit of hostile debate and disbelief and accusation, that was directing their thinking and reasoning. We are commanded to “contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints;” and that, on account of the many deceivers and seducers who come in by stealth, wolves in sheep’s clothing, seeking to pollute and destroy the flock. All this demands the capacity to think and to judge and to be able to defend the things trusted to your charge.
“But that you may know, that the Son of man has authority on the earth to forgive sins . . .” It should be said again to these, as to Nicodemus in another place; “You are the teachers of Israel, and these things you know not?” Not only was the Lord striking down the ugliness of spirit behind their reasonings; but the fact, that of all that is written, and the most ancient traditions of God’s elect; these, the strictest sect of Judaism, and the instructors and expounders of the Scriptures, what else have they learned, if they know not Who is this Jesus the Son of man? Who is this who forgives sins and heals all?
The there were also the throngs, crowding around Jesus; intrigued by the authority and wisdom by which He teaches, and excitedly hoping to see Him do some miracle. Howsoever they came, it was the Spirit of the LORD who had drawn them to come and bear witness to Christ having come, and walking among them. God has counted all of us in disobedience and unbelief, in order that He might have mercy upon all; and the reason for which He calls us, to save us from out of the world, and deliver us from our sins and heal us.
Then, lastly, we have those precious and very, very few, which God uses as examples of His mercy and miraculous healing power, and His authority to forgive and take away our sins.Those humble men, who brought their poor friend who was bound to a couch paralyzed; may have been nobody among the crowds; and nothing cared about by the most honorable spiritual rulers of the people; but God knew them; and when He saw their love and faithful friendship to their disabled friend, they were going to receive what they came for, for a sign from Heaven in front of everyone.
Also the paralyzed man himself, who was in such dreadful torment, both with his body completely incapacitated, and the thoughts that it was because of his sins that this terrible punishment happened to him, and he didn’t know how to ever find forgiveness. The words which Jesus then immediately spoke were his answer from God, that He does forgive, when we come to Him with such a kind of faith that will not be turned away.
Thus it was the Holy Spirit’s design to bring all these people here today, to witness all that they did. The sick and afflicted old men, had an opportunity to be healed, but they were by their own decisions unworthy; and would go home actually worse off for having seen Jesus, and having been willing to have such evil thoughts about Him. They didn’t get healed, and they had taken one more step in the wrong direction, of hardening themselves as the enemies of Christ.
The crowds came with curiosity and some hopeful excitement, and what God showed them seized them with amazement and fear, and compelled them to really think deeply about what all they had just seen; and Who is this Jesus that is come among them. In some sense they were given what they came seeking for, only not in the way they probably expected.
And how about those four men who had carried their paralyzed friend over to bring him to Jesus? Look at how they were not deterred; no matter what the obstacles and difficulties, they were determined to bring their friend to Jesus, even if it meant climbing up on the roof, to let him down through the tiles, and setting him right in front of Him in the room below! How this must have gladdened the Lord’s heart, seeing them come in, and then figure out how to get what they wanted, and not be dissuaded from their purpose! Faith works by love, sure gives a demonstration for us here, we all should learn from.
God will provide. His creation is truly wondrous!!🌷🌿🕊

Today is our 40th anniversary so all the stuff I wrote we were going to do today is on hold except for the KFC which Sherry still wants. Other than the addition of the sunroom, the only other thing Sherry wants for the occasion is her engagement ring and wedding band combined into a single ring, the design of her choosing. That will be taken care of next week.
Today we rest and play games, and that we shall do.
As for the tropical cyclone threats to the US the only potential threat well into the future is the invest shown as an X on the map below. It should gradually develop and be off the lesser Antilles in 5-7 days. Too early to tell where it will go from there. But that is the one to keep an eye on and especially so If you live on the east coast of Florida or Bahamas I think.

I have a feeling this is going to be happening more and more. as the need for health workers grows. I would be very cautious if I were in that position of being offered my job back, or was offered a chance to re-apply. I think the latter offer is patronizing, and almost insulting, when one considers how that person’s life was seriously disrupted, and they did nothing wrong.
If there were to be real justice for the fired health workers, they should get a letter of apology, and the offer should be re-instatement in their previously held position, with no loss of benefits. Also, if I were to be offered a chance to ‘re-apply’ for my old job back. I would not be inclined to accept on those, probably vague, terms or any wording of a contract implying I was at fault.
I would want to retain my rights, ie. not to have to take any experimental medication/’vaccines’ etc. , and to be able to refuse any on religious grounds. I would want that in writing.
I sense the pendulum is swinging back now, jb. Little by little. We are all wise to them. The ones who stood their ground and paid a terrible price for defying evil are now starting to see those who demanded their obeisance and lives, even as they absolutely KNEW what they were dictating was immoral, being slowly called to account as the monsters they are.
Not enough just yet. But I am certain this leak in a deadly dam is going to break wide open.
They just did this in the state of Queensland in Australia. “Allowing” the unvaccinated to apply for a job in health after being fired for not taking the shot. And I agree with you, it is intentional humiliation. They want you to pay a price for not following orders. This is due to happen later in September.
Queensland quite a while ago also allowed teachers to return. Except for a period of some less pay. That was their proposal, I assume that is how it went through (???). Disgusting that they even suggested it. And even though I’m not in Qld, I emailed their politicians telling them I was disgusted and I once loved my country, but that made me ashamed.
And in Western Australia, they said cops can now be unvaccinated. But those who were fired are not allowed to become a cop again, because they were dismissed for not following orders – orders to take an unnecessary experimental treatment. That was a little while ago, and so I’m not sure if it has changed.
I have noticed that a lot of announcements seem to suddenly be reversed. Not sure if that’s due to a legal challenge or the anger of the people (voters). But I have definitely noticed it for a bunch of topics, covid included.
