Some animals are injured, rehabilitated but are still not strong enough, know how to hunt, or have bonded with their humans which makes them incapable of being released back into the wild.
Spot on. Several decades ago I witnessed an exhibition of red tailed hawks and bald eagles that had been injured but could not be returned to the wild but had been trained instead. I was able to stand within 2 feet of these birds and witness their incomparable and indescribable beauty and magnificence.
You can obtain an Eagle Falconry permit or an Eagle Exhibition permit. Both include bald eagles. The falconry permit is very difficult to obtain.
That looks like some sort of falconry exhibition team since the eagle leaves the guy high up in the stadium and lands with the woman on the field. Teams like that are usually affiliated with a zoo or Fish & Wildlife and used in programs to promote conservation.

In around 1985-6 a friend of mine who was in early pregnancy started having cramps and bleeding through the afternoon on a Friday. She called her ob-gyn who told her that if this got to a certain point she should go to the ER, but otherwise she could come and see him “tomorrow”, Saturday, when he would be at his abortion clinic. On Saturday morning she woke up nearly doubled over in pain and called another friend to drive her to see her doc. They had to park further out in the parking lot than would have been preferred, and then walk past lines of intimidating, shouting, privacy-intruding, offensive anti-abortion protesters who kept trying to block their path, while praying and shoving literature in their faces. The behavior was disgusting. One guy had a camera and was taking pictures of license plates and arriving patients. What was she supposed to do? Entertain a discussion of her medical issues with perfect strangers? They were so upset afterward that they came to me to see about potential legal action.
In the same way that “protesters” blocking streets that may contain ambulances or that violations medical privacy because “covid” enrage me, I have absolutely no sympathy for anyone who engages in this kind of behavior under the auspices of “rescuing” children.

Insurance companies have WAY too much authority over an individual’s choices in medical/health care – especially in regards to what doctor(s) an individual can (or can not) see. Because, even though that individual may have the ability to go outside of their insurance plan (DICTATES), doing so will/does end up costing the individual MORE to do so. Not all individuals can afford, financially, to do so.

My wife just had a medical episode that landed her in the hospital for a week, and in multiple Doctors offices here in the SF Bay Area. Masks have been mandated … EVERYWHERE. Both by medical personnel and patients/family members. So what am I to do? Refuse to mask up and miss vital information that my wife can’t process in her current condition? Get tossed out of her bedside? I’m trapped. I have no choice but to COMPLY.

Then why is He saying he would consider Vivek and why is he giving him advice? I’m not saying President Trump is not smart but this guy is worse than Pence.
Whether he meant to do it or not and whether he’s sincere or not (I doubt it), Vivek ended up playing the role of Trump’s surrogate (a sort of place holder, if you will) at last week’s debate and highlighted the difference between the two factions of the GOP (Traditional common sense constitutional conservatism – a/k/a Trump MAGA & the spineless, corrupt pseudo-conservatism of all the rest).
President Trump was smart by pointing this out in his own way by complimenting Vivek for his performance as he (Vivek) may end up doing this again for him in the future.
So Vivek is serving a purpose on the campaign trail for now, but I seriously doubt he will be a factor in any capacity this time next year.
As others have said, I don’t think ANY of the folks on that stage last week have any chance of being PDJT’s running mate in ‘24.
It reminds me of the 1992 & 1996 GOP Primaries when candidate Pat Buchanan brought up the real issues like the Free Trade Treason, Immigration, Cultural War, & NATO wars, that the GOPe/CFR string pullers did not want brought up and bring to the American people’s attention.
PDJT did that also, and as you rightly surmised CM, Vivek just did that.
As with Bush1, Judas Pence was forced on Trump as VP by the RNC to avoid a rules/delegate battle at the convention. So it is likely in retrospect that Trump did not know what a deep state traitor he was or how far the they would go in using Pence.
That tells me that Trump knows what the RNC is capable of and that another snake like Pence cannot be contained. Ramaswamy is such a snake, as is Haley.
So the overarching question for me……… Is the RNC is still in position to threaten Trump with rule changes and/or delegate fillibusters, will he call their bluff, and/or does he have an alternate strategy in mind?
There have been plenty of VPs that were completely frozen out of everything except showing up at events too insignificant for the president.
What matters much more is that he gets a better cabinet this time around — particularly chief of staff, but also DHS, DOJ, State.

There’s a long thread today about Trump and the turbulence he invokes. It’s a great thread and worth reading.
My comment is that the 80% of the public on the political bell curve are just trying to fit in with their peers and not stand out. Its human nature, and this is where the left always win their battles. They own 90% of the media so they get to define the terms of “normal”. BLM riots? Normal. MAGA protests? Abnormal. 57 genders? Normal, etc.
We are now at a point where many people believe curtailing free speech is normal; speaking your mind is turbulence and chaos. Like a cult member, the public has been inoculated over time so that fitting in now includes masking, DEI, cancel culture and social credit scoring. All perfectly normal, right?
It took the left decades to accomplish this, but there is only so much ‘unreality’ that people can accept, and I think we are at a point in history where the 80% are starting to feel a little queasy about this new “normal”. But they still too timid to embrace the turbulence of Trump because of decades of indoctrination to conform and fit in with the media narrative.
We need to assure our misguided friends and coworkers by our own behavior and by talking to them face to face to show that we are not extremists. That’s why covid lockdowns were so effective in 2020, because it prevented face to face conversations at work or in social settings ahead of the election.
Do not allow the media to dehumanize those on the right. Talk to a friend or neighbor. Show them that it’s their own party who are the wing-nuts and moonbats, and give them a glimpse of what NORMAL looks like.
Save your bullets or rope for the 5% at the top of this scheme; it may still come to that at some point. For today, we need to flip as many queasy Dems as we can via face to face interactions and redefine the narrative by showing them that we are the normal and it’s the left who are the extremists.

I’m not all that impressed when a candidate goes from polling at 1% to 1.75% and it becomes a breathless OMG!! his polling increased 75%!!!
I remember back in the 1980s opponents of the guy running for mayor in our town ran ads saying that the mayor got his pay increased 80%!!! The horror!!! Come to find out the mayor’s pay went from $10k per year to $18k per year. I was a 30-something year old making $34k a year.
At this point in the race, Trump, DeSantis, and Ramaswamy are the only candidates who are polling higher than “Other/Don’t Know,” which I forgot to include in the above post (it’s currently sitting at 7.4%, compared to 6.6% prior to the debate). They were also the only such candidates prior to the debate as well.
At this point I believe Burgum, Hurd, and Hutchinson need to drop out. The former one had the largest growth out of all the candidates post-debate, but he’s still nowhere near where he needs to be this point. The latter two are jokes and aren’t going anywhere.
