I used to be a registered dem but didn’t always vote that way. There were many years that I only voted down ballot because I simply couldn’t stand either candidate. IMO it is dangerous to do that now.

But her parents (both from India) didn’t get to SC until 1969 (1968?) after a brief stop in Canada (father is a college professor). There probably wasn’t enough time for them to become citizens, but I can find no reference to when they did become citizens (both claim to be now).
I read his parents were not naturalized citizens when he was born here. If that is true, he is not eligible. But no one cares so there is that. Kamala isnt either and neither is Haley or Cruz and there’s real questions about Obama too.
The left took a chance with the repubs that Americans would be so enthralled by the One that they wouldn’t push the NBC requirement for him or care if anyone else did. In Texas write in candidates for president must submit a signed consent form to be on the ballot. Texas uses voting machines so there is no place for a write in candidate unless they have submitted the form and are on the actual machine ballot. Of course Meadows is shielded by federal law and so is President Trump shielded. Simply put:
The President of the United States has Presidential Immunity for all actions taken while he is in office INCLUDING actions on the outlying perimeter of his duties and cannot be prosecuted! Otherwise, any federal, state or local bureaucrat could OVER RULE the President on any action taken by charging him with a crime. The President is one of three branches of the government who is elected by the people. The only recourse in the Constitution to hold the President accountable for bad behaviour is IMPEACHMENT and President Trump was acquitted both times.
All three cases against President Trump will be dismissed by the Supreme Court which has no other choice. If not, then any controversial action taken by the President would subject him to unlimited criminal liability upon leaving office! That would render the Office of the President completely powerless.
And “impeachment,” the Constitution is very careful to explicitly state, “extends only to removal” and IS NOT a criminal indictment.
A criminal indictment of the President is only legal after he has been convicted through Impeachment. We’re not talking about double jeopardy. It’s Presidential Immunity! Two different concepts.

The wildfire that broke out on the outskirts of the town of Lahaina on the island of Maui in the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 8, destroyed some 2,200 homes, burned alive at least 114 people, including children, and displaced some 5,000 or more.
Although the exact cause of the fire is not yet established, it is now well known and documented that the government took four critical actions (or refrained from acting) in the lead-up to the fire’s destruction:
(1) The fire crews who were initially called to the fire declared that it was “100 percent contained,” although it was still burning.
One must ask who called them off. Surely the firefighters knew the blaze was still alive.
(2) Because of the risk of tsunamis, Hawaii has a vast network of emergency sirens. However, the local government silenced approximately 80 emergency sirens in the area. These sirens were never sounded as the fire drew near.
(3) A government official who had spoken in the past about the importance of water equity refused for some five hours to release extra water to firefighters. He felt he first needed to consult with a farmer about water diversion.
