The Executive Branch is only One Person. However, the Legislature consists of over 500 members of Congress. The Judicial branch consists of thousands of fed judges. Hence, it’s easy to gang up on that one person.
This malign dynamic underlies our current predicament in that our nation’s enemies know that once the President is owned, the Legislature and the Courts will close ranks.
At this stage, only a strong, patriotic president can save the Nation. The Legislature and Courts belong to the enemy!
The executive branch is full of people loyal to the uniparty, not the president. It needs to be cleaned out thoroughly.
All three branches of the federal government are populated by the “leave behinds” from the last three administrations that spanned 25 years (1/4 of a century) of the USA’s history.

I do not think the “deep state” needs enemies for their existence as the article claims.
The deep state is formed by people who view themselves as keepers of our way of life. In their minds that is the end game. And that end justifies any means to preserve it.
The deep state forms from that group of people, they execute whatever means are necessary, then they disappear from view.
It’s wrong to think of the deep state as an on going organization composed of people always from the same organization, the CIA for example. They come together if the circumstances warrant, slowly coalescing around a central figure or two. They can be identified as deep state candidates when they publicly express the idea the nation is in jeopardy and needs to be saved.

I, too, stay close to home and have been stocking up as much as possible, we had a garden for the first time in years, and I have planned for water shortages, and how to get laundry done in the event of electric outages. One thing I haven’t figured out is how to survive the brutal heat in case the a/c goes out.
You could move to Washington state…heat and water aren’t much of a problem. Fish swim in the waters and gardens grow. You just need to learn to love the water coming down from the clouds…frequently!

I agree with you the best idea is to be as self-sustaining as possible, and think it will become even more important as time goes on.
But also for the things you need you don’t necessarily need to go without.
The idea is find sources whose values we agree with. An example is pillows (and sheets and towels and slippers and pet beds). We can get those things through My Pillow, Mike Liddell’s company.
Get the children OUT of government indoctrination centers (better known as “public schools”).
Be sure the younger generations know and understand history AND economics.
Be sure they also learn the skills necessary to sustain themselves and their local community.

I am retired and have done more contracting work this year than expected due to unusual circumstances. Nevertheless I realize my Soc. Sec. and FED taxes are going to be heavy so I’ve been sending the IRS a lot of estimated taxes recently. The short of it is I am pissed knowing that the money goes straight to Ukraine or for prosecuting President Trump. The government is pimping me.
I have always wondered if there was an escrow account that the IRS cannot touch that I can send my money to as a protest of how they spend my money.

Just caught a clip from the Fox debate: Baier brought up the topic of climate change, and introduced a young man who was, I’d guess, early twenties. That young man prefaced his question with, “Polls show that the number 1 issue to young people is climate change….”.
That right there, along with abortion, is a huge problem facing all candidates with an “r” by his or her name, and that includes President Trump.

I called the GA “Republican” party and left a message. Said, if Trump is not on the 2024 ballot, we are going to make the California GOP look like a stronghold compared to the national GOP. JUST IN: New Hampshire Secretary of State David Scanlan is considering a plan to remove Trump from the 2024 ballot under the 14th Amendment.
They’re going to rig the 2024 election but this time they’re not even trying to hide it.
The plan was introduced by Trump-endorsed attorney Bryant Messner, who ran for a state senate seat in 2020.
The pair met on Friday to discuss the plan.
“I really don’t view myself as turning on Trump, as odd as that sounds. I love this country. I’ve served this country. I’ve taken an oath to this country. My sons are serving right now and I believe someone’s got to step up to defend the Constitution.”

How My Views on Government Have Changed

One of the questions asked in a recently conducted poll of my religious community was “Did your view of the government change at all because of covid?” along with a text box to explain your answer.
The following is an adapted essay version of what I wrote (the original response I posted on Substack).
Intro:
I used to regard the government as extremely inept/incompetent, fairly corrupt, and facing incentives that pushed institutions/officials to be generally corrupt and inept.
Now, I regard the government as fundamentally evil on par with other classical evil regimes throughout human history — something made clear by the government’s behavior during the pandemic.
1. The government went out of their way to suppress, sabotage, and destroy every available effective covid treatment, which by itself caused hundreds of thousands of deaths if not millions around the world. This wasn’t merely the government making claims disparaging the safety and efficacy of covid treatments – the government aggressively marshaled a “whole of government approach” to wield every available political lever to ruthlessly crush any and every treatment. The government took a leading role in targeting, harassing, deplatforming, delicensing, and terminating the careers of heroic dissident doctors who chose to treat covid patients in defiance of the nihilistic guidelines promulgated by the NIH and other agencies to ‘do nothing’ and send patients home until they ‘turned blue.’ The government also was an enthusiastic participant in conducting fraudulent trials for the express purpose of conjuring false data showing that popular effective covid treatments had no efficacy treating covid.
2. The other covid policies – lockdowns, facemasks, and the other forms of social restrictions – were some of the most evil and pernicious policies ever implemented by a society that considers itself to be ethical. It is now clear that the death toll from these policies exceeded the genuine death toll from covid disease (which itself was only significant because of the suppression and denial of treatment as stated above).
Moreover, the very policies championed and savagely implemented by Federal and state governments worsened the morbidity and mortality of covid disease. Forcing people to stay indoors, avoid exercising, avoid social contact, and a bevy of other things that dramatically raised the stress levels and obesity of the population at large made people far more susceptible to covid disease (as well as a host of other medical conditions).
Even more shockingly, these society-upending policies lacked any supportive evidence before they were implemented. It is now well-documented that none of the covid mitigations had any epidemiological impact. Lockdowns had no effect on the transmission or epidemiology of covid waves. Cloth/surgical facemasks did not reduce the spread of covid at all, and even the various types of N95 masks proved utterly useless in the hands of the general population.
Key government officials including Fauci actually admitted that they never took into account the myriad harms that such policies would inflict on society, which is not an ‘oversight’ – the least horrible possibility is that they had no regard for carnage caused by their policies, which is genuinely evil.

Sundance or whoever feels qualified to answer this question – they want to send Trump to prison. If he does go there, his secret service people will have to go too. How can it be legal to imprison people who have not committed a crime, let alone been found guilty of one? Is there something I’m missing?
