Inasmuch as the State’s entire case is per-se predicated on the notion that there wasn’t any organized fraud, I don’t see how they can keep the overwhelming evidence thereof out. They’ve come to believe their own bull shit and have built a case around it.

If the Dread Coward Roberts had given standing (in accordance with Article III, Section 2) to the Texas v. Pennsylvania pleading we wouldn’t be talking about this right now. We’d be relishing our $1.82 gas.
All of this is on Roberts. If the Republicans gain control, he should be impeached. He surely is compromised.
By avoiding dealing with the situation at hand in 2020…….he succeeded in prolonging the nations pain and increased the divisiveness. In effect making the situation much worse than it needed to be!

I can see USSC not taking that case b/c of the precedent and likely chaos it would create in all future elections. This conservative court is “strict constructionist” — reserved re: how involved they get and the court is leary of creating another 2000 Bush v. Gore.
Future elections in which states sue other states would create a problem of USSC constantly having to make decisions re: elections.
This fight is best handled at the State and county levels.
Having said that, no doubt Roberts is compromised, unfortunately, and thats very bad for the nation.

I don’t think Kare508 is saying that. He is saying the case that was brought, one state challenging another state’s election laws, was not the correct case to bring, as it were. There IS more than one way to skin a cat, as the saying goes.. so bring forth a new case that *will* stand on its Constitutional merit.

The Texas case did have Constitutional merit. It was not challenging another state’s election laws. It was challenging the fact that those states had made unconstitutional changes to their election procedures without the legislature changing the election laws. And now as a result of those 4 states’ unconstitutional actions we are all suffering from Biden’s illegitimate occupation of the White House.
The US Supreme Court said in 1892 in the case of McPherson v. Blacker, “Whatever provisions may be made by statute, or by the state constitution, to choose electors by the people, there is no doubt of the right of the legislature to resume the power at any time…”.
Texas filed suit directly in the Supreme Court as Article III of the Constitution lists a small number of categories in which the Supreme Court has “original jurisdiction.” Texas argued that GA, MI, WI, and PA violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution because they made changes to voting rules and procedures through the courts or through executive actions, but not through the state legislatures. (The Defendant States flooded their citizenry with tens of millions of ballot applications and ballots in derogation of statutory controls as to how they are lawfully received, evaluated, and counted. When the Pennsylvania Supreme Court extended by three days the deadline for receiving mail-in ballots, contrary to the law passed by the state legislature, the state court changed the rules in violation of the Electors Clause. Similarly, when Georgia’s Secretary of State responded to a lawsuit by entering into a Compromise Settlement Agreement (i.e. a consent decree) with the Democratic Party and modified the signature verification requirements spelled out by Georgia law, that changing of the rules violated the Electors Clause.) These non-legislative changes to the Defendant States’ election laws facilitated the casting and counting of ballots in violation of state law, which, in turn, violated the Electors Clause of Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution.
Additionally, Texas argued that there were differences in voting rules and procedures in different counties within the states, violating the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. Twenty years ago, in the landmark case of Bush v. Gore, the Supreme Court held that it violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment when one Florida county treated ballots one way, and another Florida county treated ballots a different way. Voters had the constitutional right to have their ballots treated equally from county to county. Finally, Texas argued that there were “voting irregularities” in these states as a result of these changes.

I agree, if the judge rules correctly. That’s a big “if.” The thing about these people is that they are always too cute by half. They concoct these elaborate sneaky plans, but they don’t work, at least not permanently. Oh, they may ride high for a while, but the truth always comes out and blows it all up.
The defect in the current plan is that the prosecution’s entire case is based on the premise that the election was entirely above board and legal and therefore any actions to thwart or delay the process of installing Biden were therefore illegal. Their very case throws open the door to litigate ALL claims of election fraud on their merits in order to refute the prosecution’s underlying premise.
They have been able to prevent any trials on the merits of the fraud claims in civil actions by successful objections to standing. But this case is a criminal case, and a criminal defendant certainly has standing to refute all factual assumptions the prosecution makes.
It’s sort of like in a murder trial, walking the “murder victim” into court to testify that he is still very much alive. Ooops!

I did read the review and agreed with everything Richard Castagner wrote. I Especially liked the quote by nineteenth century historian Alexander Tyler. It’s always been one of my favorites. Everyone should have it pinned to their poster board, and all the young people should read and absorb it.
However, there was not a mention from where the concept of the American Experiment came. It didn’t say that of all the great thinkers our Founders went to, the Book of Deuteronomy was by far the most often quoted resource.
It was rightly pointed out that what we once had but lost is morality and virtue. But my question is, by whose standard? The founders understood that our rights come from our Creator, not from government. Until that is restored in the hearts of the people, I’m afraid, all else will just continue to worsen. I did not read one mention of the faith of our Founders. And not just a blind faith; but faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The faith that kills giants and throws mountains into the sea.
I recommend this book for all the facts it presented. Just be aware of what it didn’t say.

What has disgusted me with these debates is who controls them and the questions that are allowed. Who decided Bauer and Martha were our approved moderators? Who gave them “our” approved questions? Fact is they think the public is too stupid to decide what questions should be asked.
What I would like to see is more of a town hall setting with questions that are not “approved ” beforehand nor is the questioner. These town halls should happen all across the country.
I would also like to see the candidates have a debate among themselves in which they control the subjects debated. A free for all.

I am convinced that these idiots thought they could defeat Putin with sanctions, not having to fight. But now they are stuck rasslin the bear and can’t afford to stop.
There may have been a point where our weapons used by our troops could have made a difference. But we have fed our weapons in piecemeal, training Russia how to deal with each one. By the time we feed in our troops, the Russians will have been trained to beat them and we won’t have any stockpiles of weapons for them to use.
And using our troops against Russia will be WWIII. And that is bound to end in Nuclear Armageddon.
But we keep escalating. Desperately trying to save face by not losing. Unwilling to relent on our 30 year campaign to destroy Russia. But unable to win.
We are now going to send in old outdated F16s and Abrams for the Russians to use as target practice.
And meanwhile Ukraine, which is surviving solely via our aid, is running out of men to fight.

I usually like and endorse Tony Heller. But this video bothered me at the start. “Life expectancy” is a problematic statistic. In 1900, e.g. infant mortality ranged from 10-15% from diseases now easily treatable with antibiotics and other. When those baby deaths are factored in, along with higher death rates of older individuals from similar causes, the result moves a skewed picture of “average life expectancy” — makes it sound as if otherwise normally healthy adults in their 30s and 40s were reaching the end of their natural lifespans.
“Average” anything is a statistic that needs to be used with caution. E.g., the “average” person in the U.S. has one testicle.
So to avoid getting into a counter-argument that veers off on a tangent that impairs credibility, this is not a video that I would use to make a point about climate change.

One of the most gut-wrenching times in my life was visiting the traveling Vietnam memorial with my uncle. He’d been a medic in ‘Nam.
My uncle was known in our family as the shirt off your back, happy and capable man. He usually had a smile on his face and spent more time helping others than anyone I’ve known.
To see this man weeping with waves of utter despair coming from him was devastating. I’m glad I was there but it shook me to my core.
When my uncle passed, there were literally miles of cars lined up to attend his funeral.

Actually the “cataclysmic ‘event'” was two World Wars almost back to back. It was only a little more than 20 years between WWI and WWII. My Grandfather was a Sergeant in the British army in WWI who fought on the Western Front. He always maintained that between the two World Wars Britain lost almost all its best and finest men which had a profound effect on the overall decline in Britain. There’s no evidence to support that, that I am aware of. It was just something he observed having lost so many fine young men on the Western Front yet surviving himself to live in the aftermath of both those wars!!!

My favorite “hijacking” is that leftists say that the AR in AR-15 rifle stands for “Assault Rifle” which it doesn’t! The AR designation came from the original manufacturer Armalite. Armalite is a gun manufacturer founded in 1954 and most commonly known for the development of the AR-10 and AR-15 platforms! AR was an abbreviation for Armalite has nothing to do with assault rifle! There is no standing army anywhere in the world that would use the semi-auto AR-15 as an assault rifle!!! “bastardized language” Amen and Amen!!!

The entire invention was smothered in misleading fraud. Hitler had ordered that there be no more development of rifles. So they told him it was a machine pistol. He liked it so much, he invented the name assault rifle.
In truth, it was a compromise between automatic pistols and automatic rifles. Rifles had accuracy over long ranges. Massive recoil. Automatic rifles, like Bonnie and Clyde’s favorite Browning Automatic Rifle couldn’t be accurate. Pistols only had short range. Automatic pistols are good for short range assaults.
The Assault Rifle had an intermediate sized cartridge. Good range but not as long as a full rifle. Decent accuracy. And the user had a choice of full automatic and single shot and sometimes limited bursts in auto, say 3 shots. The ‘assault’ concept comes from being able to provide your own cover fire while advancing. Making the defenders keep their heads down while assaulting them.
Calling any single shot weapon an assault weapon is a fraud. A demonization to win people over to gun control.
And yes, automatic weapons are great for defense. That is how machine guns were used. Usually big, requiring multiple crew members. The few that could be wielded as they were carried around were also good for assault.

Ramaswamy appeared on CNN host Kaitlan Collins’ show The Source where he was asked to clarify remarks quoted in a recent article in the Atlantic. In his comments to the Atlantic, Ramaswamy made reference to questions about whether federal agents were involved in the Sept. 11 attacks during a discussion of the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
“I think it is legitimate to say, ‘How many police, how many federal agents were on the planes that hit the Twin Towers?'” Ramaswamy said. “Like, I think we want − maybe the answer is zero, probably is zero for all I know, right? I have no reason to think it was anything other than zero. But if we’re doing a comprehensive assessment of what happened on 9/11, we have a 9/11 commission, absolutely that should be an answer the public knows the answer to.
The GOP presidential candidate insisted he was misquoted and taken out of context.
“What I said is on Jan. 6, I do believe that there were many federal agents in the field, and we deserve to know who they are,” he said. “On 9/11, what I’ve said is that the government lied.”

I think that the sad conclusion is that, in reality, nothing went wrong. Not officially. Everyone likely followed every guideline, rule, regulation and requirement. The water situation in the Maui fire response is, I think, an unfortunately spot-on example. Why did the local authority on Maui call Honolulu for permission? Because the rules said it needed to. Why did Honolulu allegedly keep Maui waiting for five hours? They were busy, I’m sure. And the rules permitted it. Why didn’t the local incident commander or similar grab the water guy by the lapels and tell him to get the damned water flowing or else, and pick up the pieces later? That would be against the rules. Why didn’t they use the emergency sirens? No rule for that, not for a fire. The rules are for tsunami warnings. No rule, no action. Everyone apparently followed the rules. If the rumors that kids were sent home from school into the path of the blaze because of high winds or that firefighters left the scene before the fire was fully quelled are true, there were probably rules for that, too.

After a long quiet stretch, media and Twitter Covid scaremongering is on the rise.
The noise raises two questions. Is anything actually happening? And, if not, why all the shrieking?
The first question is easier to answer: No. Nothing is happening.
Cases and hospitalizations have risen slightly this summer, but Omicron remains very mild. Many if not most Covid-reported hospitalizations are incidental, and most Covid deaths are incidental or end-of-life. Without Covid or mRNA boosters to juice them, all-cause deaths are at normal levels in the United States and Europe.
Of course, Sars-Cov-2 continues to mutate, like all viruses. Theoretically, it could change in a way that increases its dangers.
But despite the caterwauling about new strains, viruses generally become more transmissible and less virulent. Sars-Cov-2 has been no exception. Since Omicron displaced Delta globally in December 2021, none of its subvariants have shown signs of reversing that trend.
(Another potential risk is that the mRNA jabs have caused immune system changesthat will mean vaccinated people will have a hard time clearing Covid infections in years to come. But that danger is also largely theoretical, at least for now.)
So, yes, your Spidey sense is right: it’s all nonsense.
