Isaiah 26:20-21 “Come, My people, enter you into your chambers, and shut your doors about you: hide yourself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.”

When Noah and his family came out of the ark, and offered sacrifices; God said in His heart, I will not again destroy the earth and every living thing with a flood, as I have done; and He made the bow in the clouds for a sign to all living, of His covenant with all life on the earth. And the single commandment he gave at that time, was not to commit murder; for man is made in the image of God; and whoever sheds man’s blood, by man must his blood be shed. There is a day fast approaching, when God will take account of this.

Amos 5:13 “Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.”

There comes a time, when God no more sends to speak to the people, and will not hear any intercession on their behalf; that even if Moses and Samuel stood before Him, His mind could not be toward this people. How long shall the Spirit of the LORD strive with man, and man continue to harden himself against the conviction? How long will the Most kind and merciful Lord Jesus, still wait for men to come to themselves, and consider the reality of their circumstances, and repent; before He knows that they never will?

Jesus said, that the reason they are not given eyes to see, nor ears to hear, nor capability to feel anything and understand in their hearts; is because God has judged them so, because He sees no truth in them. And while God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son; that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life: yet there are great numbers who are nevertheless held in condemnation, and shall never find mercy; because they do not believe in the only begotten Son of God, and hate the light which exposes their sin.

When the iniquity of the heathen is come to the full, and the transgressors are given all that they have imagined against the LORD, and against His Anointed; God will by that time have called for a famine in the land, of any more hearing the words of the LORD. Many will be seeking it, and running to and fro over all the earth to find it; and they shall not find. Why? Because God, who knows the hearts of all men, has seen and known and judged, that they are not worthy; and that for all the time they had before, and made light of it, and arrogantly dismissed every care or concern for it; now in the time of their distress, and their own ways taking hold of them; He will not give them what they cry for.

Isaiah 62:6-7 “I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: you that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, and give Him no rest, till He establish, and till He make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”

While the LORD is the One who alone has the authority to open doors and close doors, for His servants to work, and where they shall go and speak for Him; when He sends His watchmen to warn the people for Him, to turn from their evil ways, and from the wickedness of their doings, and they have heard and understood and have determined to refuse; He will send the evil upon them as He has thought to do to them; and He will stop sending His messengers any more. Then it will be all that we have left to do, to continue in prayers and supplications, for the Lord to finish the work He has started, and bring His kingdom.

When God calls to His people to withdraw to their chambers, and hide themselves for a little moment, till the indignation is overpast; then the time has come for taking account with the world for their evil. Jesus said, that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without our heavenly Father; and that the very hairs of our head are all numbered: what then should we expect will be for the wicked, when the blood of all His saints, and all slain upon the earth, are brought to the final reckoning?

Many are looking around with horror and utter astonishment, at the overflowing of wickedness, and WORSE than no restraint, exploding in every direction: but there is a reason, which should be known to all the Lord’s people. It is the sign that they are all about to be destroyed. 

When this first began to be established in the world, under Nimrod and his wife; and the people made a name and an alliance under the banner of rebellion and Antichrist, at Babel; God came down to see, and pronounced their doom, and gave the sign of the confusing of the language and scattering them all over the earth; for a warning of their final casting away, and being thrown into eternal punishment and darkness. (Genesis 11:1-9)

Isaiah 23:13 “Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he brought it to ruin.” 

Genesis 10:8-12 “And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. That which has been is now, and that which is to be has already been; the mystery of iniquity already is working. The war which the dragon and his angels began in heaven, and for which they were cast into the earth; is the war in the spiritual realms, of which we witness in the world now. 

The Nobleman who has gone to a distant land, to the very throne of God above all heavens, to receive for Himself a kingdom; is about to come again; and He will take account with all His servants, and remember everyone who would not that He should rule over them. The Lord Jesus is about to come and take account of all the blood shed upon the earth, and reckon with all who work wickedness, and all their causes of sin.

Matthew 12:36 “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” 

Hebrews 10:26-30 “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know Him that has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, says the LORD. And again, The LORD shall judge His people.”

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Elkanah had two wives, Peninnah and Hannah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah did not. Deeply distressed, Hannah prayed fervently to God for the gift of a son, promising that she would give him to the Lord for His service. God granted her prayer, and from that time forward, Hannah’s goal was to raise him and give him to God for His use. Her son, Samuel, became a prophet who was used by God. 

Hannah focused on preparing Samuel to take his place in the temple. Today’s verse emphasizes that the wise person “sets his face toward wisdom.” He or she is focused. Commentator William Clarkson wrote that a wise person “makes the most and the best he can make of that which is within his reach… He puts out his talents, however mean they may be.

He works his capital, however small it may be. He reads well his books, however limited his library may be. He tries to serve others, however narrow his sphere may be. So doing, he is in the way of constant growth and of a large reward (Matthew 25:20-24).” 

On the other hand, the foolish may pursue a hundred different things, frittering away their time, accomplishing nothing. Wisdom is a gift from God through which He gives you opportunities and natural abilities of perception, of observation, of intuition so you are aware of what is before you… things that interest you, call you to duty, or open up possibilities.  

Ask that the Lord opens your eyes to the opportunities He has set before you today. Then pray for the public officials of this nation to make wise use of the opportunities they have now to create better circumstances for the future.

DAY # 2 – MIDDAY PRAYER

Psalm 91. The most powerful prayer from the Bible. Pray it seven times. God’s protection, healing.

Good late morning/early afternoon all💕

A busy day here. But I couldn’t not stop by. This
is from my youngest’s FB page about the continuing trials of her friends from university…Devon and Josh Fults and their three children.

A while back I posted about this young woman and her wonderful family whose love, faith, trust and praise of God and His beloved Son have remained strong as she and her children have faced health crises which would crush anybody. One right after another. Some of my friends in these branches may remember the Fults family and their testing travails.

As Shakespeare wrote, “Troubles come not single spies but in battalions”. For this family battalion after unending battalion.

This is an excerpt from the FB page of the honest, brave, and beautiful mother whose whole world one day came crashing down on her, her girls, her son, and her husband who has been a solid and loving rock of support.

“These past two months have completely flipped our lives upside down. We have gone from a normal-ish family (we know,we’re weird), managing the girls’ health issues of course, to brain tumours, craniotomies, meningitis, hydrocephalus, and second opinions which turned into more surgeries. What a complete circus!!!

What I can say from the inside of this chaos is GOD SHOWED UP! I want you to hear me, because one of my biggest fears as a mom and a wife was something happening to me or my people. We’ve lived both brutally and unexpectedly.

You know what I’ve figured out, when these worries crept in, I would fail to see God in those moments! Worries are tricky little stinkers like that! They give us all the WHAT IFs and leave the biggest part out of the equation. And if I’m honest, sometimes when I look at my fears I doubt the Lord’s provision in those moments.

Can we be honest here and say sometimes our “what ifs” are “what if God doesn’t come through…”

Y’all, God showed up! Granted, it didn’t mean a reprieve from pain, terrible hair cuts, painful moments of fear and grief, but God showed up!

He will for you, too! We will trust, God will provide. ”

I pray that this family’s ongoing journey with Almighty God standing right beside them in all they have endured will give encouragement and hope to those whose own troubles are frightening and overwhelming.

I felt compelled to share this with everyone here and those who perhaps are looking for a loving place to land who need to know our Father will never ever abandon us, especially in our worst moments.

Motives for Confidence and Gratitude

What a high value must our souls possess in

new motive for confidence in his love and paternal
solicitude! What a powerful incentive for
gratitude to our good Lord and God! If a king of
this world were to send one of his chief courtiers
to a poor subject and shelter him, would such a subject
find words to express to his prince the
gratitude of his heart? And yet this is but a feeble
representation of the goodness of the King of
Heaven toward us poor children of men who
languish in this valley of tears. Let us therefore render
praise, honor and eternal thanksgiving to the
Most High for having given us an Angel as
protector and guide to the kingdom of Heaven.
