I see it differently. So long as the GOPe wing of the Uniparties plan to replace PDJT with a “younger version” i.e. “Americas Gov. of the free State of Florida” seemed viable, having Joe as the Dem candidate was useful for making the argument for a younger candidate.
Once the pragmatists actually calling the shots for the Uniparty recognised RDS wasn’t going to work, even with Indictments as an assist, Joe is now an impediment to plan “B” which is for the D’s to have a viable candidate.
