I don’t know where this habit of “giving up” on a certain group came from. I mostly hear it about CA, but in fact many people in CA are fighting. Maybe some of us feel so discouraged that we are only happy when we say how far others have fallen.
That’s not how we win! We win by noticing every effort and building on that, by finding ways to help more people see what’s happening.
We win by “watering our grass,” not ignoring it or saying how awful it is.

I sort of wonder that as well. One thing is he is kept busy with things he has to do deal with and he doesn’t put effort into things that don’t advance his goals.
The other thing is I think PT has a very high tolerance for people not agreeing with him, probably higher than anyone I’ve ever met.
He also seems to have a style in which he keeps plugging away to help people “see” and to encourage them to change (I’m thinking of people like McCarthy and even Graham).

The Senate wants to utilize a technique where approvals are given en masse rather than having each candidate being evaluated individually. Senator Tuberville continues to block these promotions and wants the Senators to do their jobs and evaluate individuals.

Preaching to the choir here. There is no convincing the believers, unless they get afflicted and even then, most I know simply will not admit the possibility of it being the vaxx. And if we were objective, not every health issue is caused by the vaxx.

I don’t disagree with blind compliance being a factor with the COVID battle, but that may differ if one thoughtfully considered their personal circumstances and made a personal decision about their own risk given the information we actually had at the time. The FBI’s raid targeted current and former Antioch and Pittsburg police department officers. More than 100 FBI agents were deployed to make the arrests. They apprehended the officers in Hawaii, Texas, and across the San Francisco Bay Area.

Witness Lahaina. HE, the power company, spent basically all of their money on “green” initiatives rather than basic maintenance and hardening to reduce wildfire risk. They were trading close to $40 before the fires and yesterday touched close to $10; a wild-eyed 75% collapse. That’s a utility and of course now there is a serious financial risk from lawsuits — richly-deserved, if the article in the WSJ is all factual.
But that’s a microcosm of all the distortions that have been embedded in the so-called “green economy”; the virus was also part of it, and the government had their foot on the scale in the “rah-rah” side of it because everyone loves a higher stock market.
The problem is that how you got it matters.
If you got it because the company expanded its business organically, it beat others in the market because they were at least two of “better, faster, cheaper” then you’ve got a sustainable and reasonable price.
If you got it because the government subsidized bad behavior — uneconomic things that cannot work over time because they violate the laws of thermodynamics and are predicated on feelings and political promises then you get a crash because there is nothing under any of the so-called “improvement” beyond hot air.

A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirms that an incident occurred Thursday at their gun range, which multiple federal agencies were utilizing at the time through an interagency agreement. The spokesperson said no Federal Bureau of Prisons employees were injured in the incident.
Charlotte M. Dennis with the Phoenix Field Office of the IRS Criminal Investigation (CI) division replied to Arizona’s Family on Thursday afternoon, confirming it was aware of an “incident” involving one of its special agents. She said the agent was taken to HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center, where the agent died. “Our concern today is for the agent and their family,” she said in the written statement.
Special agents with the FBI’s Phoenix field office are investigating the shooting. “The FBI’s investigation will be methodical and thorough to address every element of the incident,” an emailed statement said. In a normal drought, the entire State would be drier than a tinderbox like 1998, replete with wildfires every which way. Our drought seems concentrated from Port Charlotte up to the undeveloped Levy County Coast encompassing the entire Tampa/St Pete Metro. Some potentially extremely valuable real estate.
If some Bond Villan types were trying to dry an area out for potential wildfires and/or to cause sinkholes to form in areas with paper-thin limestone bedrock in order to drive already inflated insurance rates so high “pesky” majority MAGA working class types couldn’t afford to live there, they would be well on their way to achieving their desired outcome..
