I wonder how you could post this? Its really alarming how so blatantly against the word sentences can go unchecked! Just like the one that said, that no one is ever called an apostate in the Bible; we are accountable to the Lord for making sure what we teach is according to His word and according to the truth.
It is interesting too, how out in the open the devil is with his wicked mouth against the LORD!

There are MANY modern “theologians” and various translations of the Bible, which have replaced the blood of Jesus with the death of Jesus. Very subtle; but that’s what you get when you take away the blood of the atonement, then you get death!
So the question we have to ask the author of these things, Did Jesus Christ come in the flesh? For that’s what he is implying by denying the atonement, and replacing the blood of Jesus with the death of Jesus’ that He did not! And the word, Theologian, means [one who is concerned with] The Word (Things, Matters spoken of) of God. The whole reason why God let the man and his wife go with their lives after they sinned, was on account of His righteous mercy in providing His Son a ransom for our souls, TO MAKE AN ATONEMENT FOR OUR SOULS BY HIS OWN BLOOD!

Our Billy Joel is an atheist who I pray finds The Lord. His talent would be greatly missed in my Heaven. Love him.
Side note – Lullabye – I used to sing it and a version I made up of the “Our Father” prayer every night before daughter would go to bed when she was just a little bit.
Billy puts into words what everybody is thinking. I have a 4-disc music collection of his and can play it all day long and never tire of it. Lord have mercy on his tormented soul.
Saw a news reel on him where he stated that he hasn’t written since “River of Dreams”. He said he loves making music – he just hates hates the tormented process of writing it and he feels through the process he is never good enough.
Mornin ‘Woo, darlin. Didn’t know Billy is an atheist. While I hope he’ll come around to accepting Our Lord I have to say I’m not very good at “witnessing”. My experience sharing my beliefs with athiests has never been productive—frankly I find them a bit boring. This is one of the reasons I’m intentionally unchurched. There’s just me and Him. I think He’s ok with this.
I’m glad you liked the Billy Joel selections I posted. I wanted to put up his early compositions/performances because they’re the one’s that first got me interested in his music.
BTW: I’m reading a good biography on Billy Joel. He’s had a musical life filled with success of his own making. But at the same time it appears that people around him were not entirely trustworthy: he lost lots and lots of money. Scheech.
I don’t have the name of the bio (got it cheap on Amazon). I’ll post it later today. It’s a good read.

I heard something about that, G. His ex-wife’s brother was a manager for a while and swindled him? (If I remember correctly…) And apparently, he is still friendly with the ex-wife. Wow. I pray he finds Jesus. I really do. I would love to read that biography – yet, I have dozens of books on my list to read and half dozen sitting on my desk right now. Just… need… time.
And some day – I’ll have too much time on my hands – and then I will lift those books and feel blessed to have them as my companions.
We are instructed to go out into all the world sharing the good news and making disciples – thus it is our task. We fulfill such when we simply share our love of God and speak of His Mighty Works with others. It doesn’t have to be complicated. We plant the seeds and The Lord sews through the Holy Spirit.
Being “unchurched” doesn’t mean I’m not a strong believer. It’s just that I find most church doctrines so turgid and uninteresting that I long ago abandoned them for my own solitary version of strong faith.
However, as I do here from time to time, I’m perfectly willing to talk to others about belief, acceptance and faith—I just do it in my uncomplicated and unchurched way.
Interestingly, the Mormon missionaries with whom I became friends, were perfectly ok with me. From our first meeting months ago until they went home recently, we agreed that there are many pathways to Our Lord.
There will always be parasites and opportunists who see a talent and who will take advantage of it for personal enrichment, counting on that talent not having the time or the knowledge to manage their assets. It really is despicable.

I was just in a thrift store earlier today and was hoping to find a copy of The Federalist Papers. I didn’t. But, I did find an autobiography by Meip Geis. She was instrumental in helping Anne Frank and her family to hideaway upstairs in the Secret Annex. I’ve always wanted that book and now I have it! Hard cover with the dust sleeve even!

Here at my Indiana home we got so much rain that we now have a flood advisory. Nothing to worry about except one needs to lookout on roads passing through low lying areas. The ground was so dry it just soaked that rain up. At least now my grass won’t crunch under my feet when I walk on my lawn.
No hurricane action in the Atlantic. Eastern Pacific has a couple of invests. And in the Central Pacific Dora is out in the middle of nowhere and will most likely die that way. But she is still piling up the ACE points. After 3 very dead years of near record low ACE, the NW Pacific Typhoon season this year has been very active. In fact every basin has an ACE number that is over 100%.

We will be slaves either way. Since we must serve anyway, for whether we like it or not this is our lot as men, then there is nothing better than recognizing that Love has made us slaves of God. There are a lot of people here who really just want to keep it light-weighted, no question. But there are a number of precious brothers and sisters who do try to contribute and share what the Lord has shown to them, in hopes of extending the blessing to others.
I will say a prayer for you; and encourage you to stand strong in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. Speak out the appropriate Scriptures, with understanding, and hold fast your integrity, like Jesus did when He was tempted. The first few words in James’ Epistle are deep and powerful; about counting it all joy when we fall into temptations; knowing that the proving of our faith works out patience, endurance! The Lord’s good advice to us, is to be continually in those things which we have received and heard and learned from Him. Walk in the Spirit, and we SHALL NOT fulfill the desires for evil things of the flesh.
The Lord is with you. Be strong and very courageous; for as He was with Moses, so shall He be with us: He will not fail us nor forsake us; as long as we seek Him with all out heart, and do not faint.

The horse was obviously and quite justifiably quite reticent about going into the SPCA trailer. Took a second attempt and I’m sure some patience and gentle verbal assurances from the woman. Amazing story.
When I was learning about horses.. a Vet friend told me to try and teach the young foals to go in and out .. but don’t let it be a negative experience.. they never forget..🤣👍.. overtime I got better at it ..

By the way, that was “a” Japanese code. Diplomatic. Which they never changed. The Japanese Navy had its own code and changed it enough to be a headache for our codebreakers. I presume so did the Japanese Army, but I haven’t heard about their codes being broken.
Purple did give us German military details. Hitler kept the Japanese up to date on what he was doing, and they dutifully used Purple to tell Tokyo.

In his book on evangelism, Dag Heward-Mills gives seven reasons serpents are considered wise. Principally, they are considered wise because they have flourished against ecological challenges, against being hated, they can function wherever they are, and they have been more successful than any other creature at survival and massive reproduction. Even the “king of beasts,” the lion, gives a wide berth to a snake in his path.
In Matthew 10, Jesus assembled His disciples and gave them “marching orders” on reaching the world. He gave them great authority, and then He cautioned, “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” Jesus went on to tell them they would face persecution, even death. According to church history, most suffered greatly for their faith and for their evangelistic efforts. Only John is thought to have lived into old age, although an early Latin tradition had him being boiled to death in oil in Rome. But their influence continues in the world today.
Most Christians have no difficulty being “as innocent as doves,” but they struggle with having to carry on despite being hated or even feared. Still, that is your calling to one degree or another. Certainly, you are like sheep among wolves in today’s American culture. So, consider the admonitions of Jesus, who also promised, “The one who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 10:22).
Pray for Christians who are taking a strong stand in government, who are being reviled and ridiculed, that they will not bend.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Do they shoot the sun? I can barely see a glimpse of the hidden sun in the direction he is aiming.
Yes they shoot the sun. And I did not notice it faintly peaking behind a cloud. A sun line with the proper time can give you latitude but not longitude. But one still needs a clear horizon and a steady hand and it appears to me the best those guys could get is a SWAG in those conditions.
