I like bad words. They help convey tone. Here, not a plaintive whine, but an in-your-face demand and poke in the chest. They also are a steam release.
(By the way I credit my in-person trashmouth to why my kids are more articulate and proper in their speech. When they were growing up there was no rebellion benefit or shock value in using bad words so they appropriated the calm rational mature approach when disagreeing with me!)
Not really concerned about the word a hole being used, but my point was calling another poster a name. IMO, there are boundaries that benefit our societal fabric. Every time I read a post advising to send a letter, email, call them, in some attempt to “inform” them or move them into action, I realize just how lost we are. Similarly, the advice to get involved at the polls at local levels, somehow believing what? That we can waltz in to our local party headquarters, polls and see a discrepancy, point it out and voila, we win?
The operative word is “infiltrate.” No need to point out “discrepancies” to your local RINO coalition, when you can sidle up to them and shiv them in the ribs, instead.

Common delusions notwithstanding, the United States, I submit, is not a democracy—by which is meant a system in which the will of the people prevails. Rather it is a curious mechanism artfully designed to circumvent the will of the people while appearing to be democratic. Several mechanisms accomplish this.
He details nine of them in that excellent column. Here’s number four:
Fourth are impenetrable bureaucracies. A lot of policy is set by making regulations at some department or other, often federal. How do you call the Department of Education to protest a rule which is in fact a policy? The Department has thousands of telephones, few of them listed, all of which will brush you off. There is nothing the public can do to influence these goiterous, armored, unaccountable centers of power.
Yes, you can write your senator, and get a letter written by computer, “I thank you for your valuable insights, and assure you that I am doing all….”
To which I’ll add the unsaid, “Please submit $3,300 to my campaign fund and I might pay more attention to your needs.”
As an example of how much you’re listened to when you DO call in large numbers, the first vote for the bailout of the perps who committed the MASSIVE fraud that caused the sub-prime loans initiated global financial crisis didn’t pass.
Constituent calls were 30 to 1 against.
Then, after getting their virtue signaling points and their negotiated perks to change their votes, it passed.
Earlier today I posted a comment in a thread about voting fraud urging people to get involved by infiltration into the polling apparatus. I agree that one cannot “waltz” into the local party HQ or County Board of Elections and then “we win” and that is not what I suggested. That is arguement by reduction to the absurd.
The polling process involves volunteers and in some cases short term workers. We should not simply cede operation of the polling process to the enemy. We need eyes on the process as part of an effective fight against the corruption. Be proactive. What have you got to lose ? By the way, I have worked as a volunteer for 4 election cycles.
With all due respect, it’s like trying to cure cancer with a band aid. I believe the point I am failing to make is we are not going to change a thing by focusing on the system as it stands. We cannot monitor or audit our way into an honest election. It really is that simple and should be obvious based on all we’ve witnessed. We need action outside their playgrounds.

Big government / leftist types gravitate towards functions such as the polling apparatus. Those of us who prefer the tempestuous open seas of liberty eschew such associations. The result is an easy enviroment for cheating. They have unfettered control. The 2020 election yielded images of boxes hidden under tables in the counting room and widows being papered over to prevent observation. Wouldn’t it be useful to have one of us in the room?
Keeping the Republic wrought by Franklin and the founding fathers requires action which you agree is needed. What I urge is action which is within the capability of those who follow this site. What is the down-side?
Obviously there were some of “us” there to take photos of those boxes and put them up for all to see.
Others who did, in fact, see and report anomalies and knowledge of machine failures. Did it matter? Those polls with carboard over the windows made national news. Did it matter? Repeated ineffectual action is not a solution.
The video images of the boxes were from the security cameras. The images of the windows being covered were taken from outside the room.
And recall they used the excuse of a,”Water leak” to “send everyone home” and then only a few, compromised employees snuck back, to pull the suitcases out, and two of those “sent home” actually stayed and filmed what happened next from the outside.
“Most” election workers ARE full time temps, some (probably those who come accross as having “good people skills”) are assigned to polling locations, working with the public.
Those who perhaps come across as not so people oriented, and or with computer skills, are assigned to tabulation centers.
Its reasonable to assume that the crooks try not to do anything obvious, in front of the “temps”, however its also difficult to pull off such a heist, with non participating spectators/witnesses all around.
THEY continually repeated the claim that “the machines can not be accessed via the internet, because they aren’t hooked up TO the internet, and just ignore those broken seals on the ports.
So, some enterprising lads parked their van down the street from a polling location during a primary.
They set up a wi-fi hotspot, and live streamed as they first accessed the coffee machine sitting next to the tabulator, and then “told” it, to connect TO the voting machine via “bluetooth”. They stopped at that point, as the next step wiuld have been illegal, but they made their point.
Similarly, in the run up to the 2022 election, in Maracopa County, some lads detirmined the County warehouse where the tabulators that were going to be deployed on election day, were stored.
They accessed the feed, from the counties camera security system, and so recorded County employees AS they; broke the seals placed after certification, removed the mother boards, downloaded the malware that would make the machines malfunction, TESTED the machines to insure they would malfunction, put new seals on and then labeled the machines for distribution to KL polling locations.
No doubt there is some violation of the law, in what they did, but assuming they could identify the culprits, a court case would just draw more attention to what they recorded, and to date no one has been charged or even questioned.
The video directly refutes the explanation by County officials during KL’s election challenge case.
THEY don’t concern themselves with obeying the law, perhaps we need a little flexibility in this area, as well?
If your local republican headquarters is run by corrupt people, there is no chance of getting involved.

topics such as architecture, where the bias is easily recognizable and skipped over for the objective facts of the matter;

The patients with abnormal results returned for follow-up cardiac MRIs at least five months after the initial tests and 15, or 58 percent, had residual late gadolinium enhancement (LGE). Concerning the failure of Issue 1 in Ohio, which had nothing to do with abortion directly, but made it harder to amend the Constitution by requiring amendments to pass by 60% and that 5% of every county must have petitioned to place an amendment on the ballot:
There is a pro-infanticide issue already on the ballot for November: if Issue 1 had passed, then it would need the requirements above.
My comments: again, Republicans set themselves up to fail in various ways: by not properly explaining the issue and getting it early enough to have this on the regular May ballot. Because they hurriedly put together a special August election, it made them look unprepared and even sneaky.
We first heard about it just two months ago in our Catholic Church, where it sounded like an abortion issue was the problem in August!
Next, Issue 1 would work both ways. Any Conservative amendment would need to jump through the same hoops.
And there is entropy: the Ohio Constitution has had the same amending process for well over a century: the trend in Conservative states is to keep things steady. The “Fire Sale” atmosphere to get Issue 1 passed quickly in a special election could have seemed suspicious.
I know that some people considered it a Trojan Horse. And so, it tanked.
So, in November, Pro-Life groups need to work harder than ever: we expect no real help from the Ohio Republicans!

For many years – including today! – Ohio has often sent one DEM senator and one Republican to D.C.
When I was growing up in the 1950’s and 1960’s, a certain Stephen Young was the DEM and Frank Lausche was the Republican. They seemed to have been in the Senate forever!
Now we have the cancerous Sherrod Brown (DEM) and the newly elected James (J.D.) Vance as the Republican.
Despite that, in 2020, PRESIDENT TRUMP took c. 55% of the Ohio vote.
And despite the Issue 1 debacle, I am not feeling a change in that support for 2024…at least not yet.

Retired Magistrate here: You are exactly right. My other question is why didn’t Ohio Right to Life groups get their act together and put a heart beat amendment to the constitution on the ballot. Ohio’s Heart Beat legislation is now tied up in Court and the current legislation allows an abortion up to 22 weeks. Last year the Ohio legislature stated that there would be no more August special elections and then viola a special election in August of this year.
Also the main thrust to vote yes for the constitutional amendment was “special interests” wanted to get their agenda on the ballot and this would prevent it. The problem with that was the “special interest” groups who were pushing to vote yes on Issue 1 were: the Right to Life groups, Gun Lobby groups, Big Ag groups, Chamber of Commerce groups, etc. all “special interest” groups.
A lot of people in Ohio already don’t trust government. This inept move on the part of the Republicans only gave more evidence that you can’t trust the government on Ohio. It also gives great talking points to the Democratic party in Ohio for next year’s elections; look what the sneaky Republicans tried to do, they tried to take away your input into the Ohio constitution. So, the pro life groups really need to explain what is in the abortion bill: abortion up to birth, taking away parental notification rights, no basic health care provided for women whose abortion causes a medical emergency and other issues.
The groups that supported Issue 1 will not be around to assist the pro life movement in November because it doesn’t fit their agenda.
