That was a different time with an entirely different demographic who held patriotism and the American way in their hearts and in their DNA.
As I go about my daily errands, nearly every office, store, gas station and event is “diverse” and I live in a suburban/rural area. Even the folks walking their babies or riding their bikes are newly arrived. Our culture is rapidly being diluted.
Our currency is being diluted along with the culture.

And some Seabiscuit/San Francisco Bay Area Trivia, Tanforan Race Track — where Seabiscuit raced, became a WW2 Interment Camp and eventually became a Mall that has a Bronze Seabiscuit Statue in the Mall as well as an honorary Street named Seabiscuit. Unfortunately, Tanforan Mall has plans to be demolished to make way for a Biotech company.
So far it looks like those plans may have been put on hold as the Old Sears Building in Tanforan has been converted to a Hyundai Dealership.

Whenever women protest the inclusion of trans-identified males in our spaces, we’re shouted down and dismissed as transphobes and hysterics. There is no risk, we’re in no danger, this never happens, we’re constantly told. When we produce evidence to the contrary, we’re accused of bigotry and of demonising trans people. We cannot win.

The point is that men can pose a threat to women and children however they ‘identify’ and women have every reason to fear male violence. Since it’s impossible to tell which males are harmless and which are not, basic safeguarding means we exclude all males from women’s spaces. Even the ones who claim to ‘identify as women’. The list below demonstrates that we are right to do so.
It is far from an exhaustive list – these are just some examples of which I’ve been made aware – but there are a lot of names on it. Look how easily violent, dangerous males can claim a trans identity and be believed, accommodated and enabled. I’d like to ask all those shouting at us to be ‘inclusive’, how many victims do you deem acceptable collateral damage for prioritising male feelings over the safety of women and children?

I have no well formed opinion of Ramaswamy, but he is correct.
President Trump is the leader of the America First movement, but he is not the movement.
He is a mortal human being, and to survive America First must grow beyond a single person.
I’m sure President Trump knows this and is working hard to establish the foundation of a sustainable America First movement.
As always, some will use the movement to further their own personal agendas, and we should be wary.
While America First can’t be tied to one person (Trump), it can and should be led by the person who started it. Rama-smarmy’s comment might make sense ten years from now, but right now it just makes him look like a thief!

I supported Donald Trump from the beginning because he said he would close the border and sounded like he meant it. His Presidency proved that he was not only serious about the border, but about many other pro-America issues, like ramping up our factories, oiling our “rust belt,” in so doing ensuring American national security, protecting the middle class, etc.
If following Sundance for the last ten years has taught us anything, it’s that truly, NO ONE ELSE CARES TO SAVE AMERICA.
The America First movement will go on with us peons … but who else besides President Trump has done anything to affect it? Not talking about those who’ve learned to parrot the populism line for our benefit.

I think the person who started America First is retired now. It was Buchanan’s election campaign.
Well, that is only recent history. It was used prior to our entering WWII. And it was created by Wilson In his 1916 campaign to help keep us out of WWI.
I don’t think those people are alive anymore. But it is very fitting that we have an American First Campaign as our leaders are trying to start WWIII.
The MAGA bullpen is sparse if non-existent, so to speak, should something happen to Trump between now and the election.

Reminds me of Obama saying he would “fundamentally change America” well he did that but not in a good way. Same for this guy. I suspect the “next level” could be along those same lines. President Trump has always been consistent even as a Democrat, mentioning and criticising political corruption, China and other issues that have been left to conflate that he decided to run. Then those who loved and fawned over him started to pay attention when he got elected; their hate became vile and real because they never could have envisoned that Trump will win. they laughed at him. Even after he was elected, globally many other countries did not like how he took charge (Germany laughed openly) unwilling to co-operate and unable to see President Trump meant business, knew what he talked about and carried out he he said he would do if they do not understand there cannot be a one-way street for well-being in international affairs and co-operation.
Love him or hate him – the gap is and will still be as wide. Proven though is that only Trump has been able to facilitate game-changing compromises and agreements when none has ever succeeded.
That is a forgivable offense.
All those rallies, are not cheap. He is a businessman who believes in “ahead of schedule and under budget” to make the US competitive again. He would not waste his time if he thought rallies were a losing venture.

If you read the whole thread and some of my other posts, you can see my point in not dismissing Vivek Ramaswamy because of his past. Given Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump, and many others who changed their thinking, I would suggest more open minds about actions of the present versus years ago. I also have made points about a team of America First activists being assembled now for the inevitable passing of Donald Trump.
If a movement has only one leader and that leader is suddenly gone, the movement is at a minimum set back and at the worst falls apart. Can anyone out there name one person that is directly supporting Trump and could continue the MAGA momentum? Does the Refuge have a list of cabinet members that make sense. If the attitude of perfection amongst many of you prevails, no one is acceptable.
I also ask you to consider what will happen here if something caused the Treehouse to topple? Is there an alternative?
We need to build, not tear down, and we can’t wait. In my perfect world we would have most presidential candidates running on the MAGA and America First priciples, and no RINO’s. Wouldn’t it be something to have 4 or 5 choices of great candidates competitively discussing our base principles?
