Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Morning Ya’ll 🙂
Love the digitalis flowers!
Foxglove, as well as Canterbury Bells, a favorite of this gardener.
Beautiful.
💜🌸💙🌸💜
Gorgeous!
30+ years now, went to a Garden Tour….one of the gardens, not small, had no empty ground amongst the shrubs, trees, perennials……………..ALL FOXGLOVE !!!!
Not a small garden, everyone there was ‘drunk’ on their FOXGLOVE.
Asked the owner how they did it. She said, “Well, we didn’t have any money. We bought several seed packs of FOXGLOVE…………..”
You too !!!
A favorite line from the movie, Howard’s End, “…..dear old digitalis……”
Proof, a memory for all the important things.
The embroidered towel, does it belong to Betsy?
-Inca, the linens are mine.
Betsy travels with cups and saucers.
The flowers are Molon’s
The setting is Jay’s.
Howdy 🤠
Hello 😎
Community chest 😁
Monin’ jay 🙂
Howdy Garrison 🙂
Just magnificent, jay. Imagining the joy of a summer tea party. So happy you posted this.
Mary Van Deusen – HIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!
I have been keeping eyes out for you. Hope you are doing amazing, friend. Blessings to you. You and Phoenix have both posted within a few days. We are blessed indeed to see you!
Wandering thru periodically, even when I don’t post. Always good to see you.
Mornin’ Mary 🙂
Morning, Garrison. I might not have mentioned before, but I truly love your name. There’s a dignity to it that reminds me of New England and I tend to smile just reading it.
Thank you, Mary. That’s a very nice compliment. The persistent reality, however, is that whatever dignity I can muster is heavily informed by my life here in Texas.
You might take the boy out of Texas but . . . maybe I could fake it for awhile . . . but most likely it would probably be difficult to take the Texas out of the boy. Y’all take care, now. 🙂
Garrison NY is a wonderful little town north of NYC. Set in tree-lined streets with fascinating little pieces of architecture and old art colony types. That always pops up in my mind when I see your comments. One house had this glorious old shower, immense, with with floor to ceiling glass windows and using a Scottish, wool shower curtain set well away from the water. Perhaps that’s why I think New England. My grandfather was from Sherman TX and I was raised on Texas stories.
😁😁
Good morning, Mr jay!!😘 What a wonderful vision greets me this morning? You thoughtful man…I’m there in spirit. Here I come😊
I see there are two cups.
May I bring a friend?
Wow, again.
Isn’t he something, Mary?
Stunning.
Its not just sweet little colourful owls that are tiny
😍😍😍😍😍😍
Simply amazing!
Maidin Mhaith Betsy 🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
Wow!
Hey sweet thang. where y’all going ! ☺
And good afternoon Betsy. 💛😻💛
A cheery afternoon to you, DG!😘😁
God morning, Jay. Thank you for posting things that both the dudes and dolls enjoy. You’re a gem!
🇺🇸😁🇺🇸
Good morning JWoo!
Good afternoon, GrandpaM. Kid is home and recuping. She’s packed with gauze and snuggling in blankets on the couch listening to Chris Botti.
Prayers up for a speedy recovery.
Thanks, man, she’s roughing it. The pain meds don’t seem to be touching it and she’s two hours away from next dose. I’ve got Christian music streaming throughout the house right now and she’s calmed and peacefully sawing logs. Meds every 3 hours round the clock for a few days. Thank goodness Della reminded me of Ensure – picked that up this morning for her. We are ready for the days ahead.
Your local brother, hunting buddy, sent me a link to some pretty amazing Christian music that is so relaxing.
PTL she is able to sleep! It’s going to get better. Most important is to stay ahead of the pain. And ice cream. 🙂
My hunting bro does have some very cool links.
Oh good that it’s over. Bless her, JWoo. Chocolate malts saw me through recovery. The cold on where mine came out was so welcome. She’ll be right as rain soon.🙏🏻💕
Howdy jay!
Howdy Gramps on the table above is a lil cognac for seasoning 🇺🇸🤠🇺🇸
I was wondering about that. 🙂 I love a good cognac.
Good morning, my friend💕 I never see Ed Sullivan that I don’t remember my father who could have been his doppelganger in many respects.
Mornin’ Bet. I always thought Ed Sullivan always seemed to be perpetually uncomfortable on screen. Some people love the camera, TV or film, but he always looked like he was close to running away . . . 🙂
Good morning Bet!
Afternoon, dearest G!!! We’re cooking here…and I don’t mean inside either😉😎💕
We are a bit cooler today. Just had my lipids blood work drawn today. Speaking of cooking, will be grilling a couple of steaks later. Haven’t had any in over 2 months. And a bottle of good cab. ❤️😍
Morning Garrison!
Mornin’ Gramps 🙂
Summer in the City – perfect for today. Today 107, Saturday and Sunday 109, then down to a balmy 106 for Monday. Tues will be a chilly 101.
Love Nashville Cats, I was singing that song to myself yesterday!
Summer in the City will also sound perfectly good . . . in October, thank you very much. 🙂
Howdy Garrison! You have re-posted one of my favorite groups from the mid-’60s. I could not explain why their music so appealed to me back then, but my one vinyl LP of the group, The Best of the Lovin’ Spoonful (March 1967) had all of their top hits up thru 1966 and got played until it was pretty well-worn…
Hope you and your pets are all doing well.
Hi, GB. At the moment I’m hibernating under the air conditioning, although I just noticed that it’s “only” 91F here at the moment. 🙂
“Only 91F” Seems a smart choice to “lay low” indoors in Texas heat. My sister is west of you in ABQ, NM. She also stays inside when it gets over 85F in the high desert.
81F here; mostly cloudy; a bit of rain expected shortly. Any temps north of 77 cause us to use A/C.
Our 11 year old rooftop 30-panel solar array offsets the A/C costs for the most part, so we are admittedly not as conservative in our use of A/C as we might otherwise have been…

It was 104F at this time yesterday. I hate you. I really, really, hate you . . . 🙂

We have a spare bedroom with bathroom if you want to come on up to Maryland for a spell. Bring the critters with you. Y’all be welcome. 😁
Oregon is so green. We drove to Corvallis for groceries today (about an hour trip) and so many shades of green from Doug fir to Spruce to Big-leaf Maple. We drive for miles with only trees and bushes and plants then see human habitation which is about five pickup trucks by a double wide with huge American and Trump flags flapping in the wind. Yep, rural Oregon is mega MAGA.
God morning, Merry.
Was Eastern Oregon successful with its succession and joining to more conservative Idaho? Hadn’t been able to keep track of that progress. The beauty of the Pacific Northwest is unparalleled but it is deeply maligned by the communist insurgents. I thank my lucky stars daily that we got out of Seattle when we did 15 years ago.
Here in the Central Valley of Ca one of my neighbors just down the street has finally replaced his Trump 2020 banner on his barn. Now he has Trump 2024 and another one that says F*ck Biden. They are both HUGE.
My kind of folks, Patty. 🙂
I agree, Garrison.
jinx… was about to say the same thing. Take them a casserole, Patty!!!! 🙂
Applauding wildly, patty!!!!!!
Yeah, our little dead end street should be named MAGA Way. And the folks with the HUGE banners are hispanic, to boot. As I always tell my old time neighbors, if you can’t beat ’em convert ’em.
Hey – I love the hispanic culture. Thems some good eats and they value their elders and generations. Love those guys!
And CONVERT is EXACTLY what I want to do with all those illegal aliens. Maybe they’ll be inspired to go home and build little Americas everywhere – the kind of America our Forefathers planned.
The majority of my California family and friends are MAGA. 👌👍😊🇺🇸
American friends, here is some news from Israel. Something you will not watch on local media. Shalom!
Hello, David. Thanks for posting. Mossad is very dangerous to Israel’s enemies. These guys mean business . . .
Mossad are ruthless. Assassinated more people than any other western nation since World War Two. Thousands. This video is a psychological warfare. They are showing the Iranians that they got their man inside Iran and they show the hierarchy of command all the way to the big boss. Those people must be terrified. It’s intentional. Israel has a policy of what is called “a ticking time bomb”. That means if someone is planing a killing of Israelis he is considered a “ticking time bomb” and the Prime Mister alone is authorize to approve the Mossad to take him out.
-Shalom Chaverim
Shalom friend! 😀
Mornin’ Ad rem 🙂
God morning, Garrison. Up way early again – didn’t sleep much last night. Apparently I am one of those highly productive people that doesn’t need sleep anymore. (Yeah… no… I really DO need sleep… lol)
Nurse maid duty starts at 10 AM. Fed the kid Spaghetti with Mizithra Cheese and meatballs last night at the Spaghetti Factory as her last hurrah before she cracks into pudding, jello, popsicles… all the soft things… for the next week.
We’re ready. My father taught me to always be ready. 🙂
Mornin’ ‘Woo 🙂 Although my most productive hours begin about +/- 10PM-2AM, I’m fortunately not a light sleeper. Got a solid 8hrs last night. When I was teaching, I was sr faculty so I always got to pick my class schedule—office hrs 8-10, classes 10-12:30 or so.
Good luck with your school explorations. Your daughter’s public school sounds especially backward as far as special needs support goes. The bane of autistic and LD kids is rigid time schedules. Undoubtedly, the Potter School has this figured out but it’s always prudent to check.
It looks like IA community colleges along with some 4 year schools are moving away from aptitude tests (ACT/SAT) and now have “open admission” practices. A GED, or even most of a HS diploma, is good enough to get started. At my school we had people who had dropped out of HS who were taking classes and doing quite well.
Re: ready. My “NRA hat” fieldwork confirms that a lot of Texans are, in fact, armed and ready. No big surprise there, but still . . .
Shalom!
Can you keep a secret? 😀
Outstanding!! And good morning to ya, Ad rem🤗
God morning, Ad rem.
Blessings to you, brother David.
Good morning, David! What a joy to see you again. Praying you and your family are well. We keep a watchful eye on Israel from our end, as God does from above. Thank you for providing information which of course we will not get here.
Shalom, dear sir.🙏🏻
Shalom and health to you and your family.
Good morning, David. Thank you for posting this, you are right, no one would see this in our perverted news. God bless you and keep you safe.
Thank you!
Shalom shalom David!

Good reminder that Moses is also the first person to break his tablet in a fit of rage.

30 June 1985 James Dewar, Canadian inventor and baker (Twinkie cake), dies at 88 (wonder if he’s related to the whiskey “inventors” also James)
wow – two Twinkies for 10 cents !
and chocolate-covered at that !
’40s or very earliest ’50s at the latest, I’d conjecture
Heard a story on the radio several years ago about a college that had started a test on a Twinkie.
They unwrapped it and left it in open air to see how long it would take to become hard and stale.
The experiment was still ongoing (and the Twinkie was still soft and technically edible) at the time of the story on the radio……….50 years later.
Bon appetit!
I forget what sweet products were used but a whiles back…someone laid out some treats on the ground, in the path of an ant trail….presumably sweet eating ants…
The ants in line, marched around the sweets…the implication was they were toxic, if I read the article correctly.
Good morning, Aggiegirl.
Walking most mornings, and picking up trash, it’s common for tossed apple cores and banana skins to remain untouched until they compost completely. Which is not fast, even in middle rural Georgia with heat/humidity. Wonder if they’re toxic to the poor soil organisms too.
Ants know better than us.
Morning Greg1,
Might explain why folks are living longer and looking younger – all those preservatives in their food source? Yikes.
Am guessing you were right…I was about 7…and a single Reeces peanut butter cup was a nickel….the double, was ten cents. When the tax of one penny made the price 11 cents…we kiddos were outraged…prolly around 1964-65ish.
I’ve got a couple years on ya, Aggiegirl – I got to see the late ’50s as a lad with a couple coins in my pocket and a general store a block away
there was a strip candy of flattened coconut with a white, pink, and dark stripe down it that I remember; paper strip like checkout paper with dots of colored sugar candy, you’d bite the dots off the paper; lollipops, tootsie-roll pops, red and black licorice sticks, etc … candy bars at the higher end
Harry Potter – Universal Child – Annie Lennox
So good to see you back, Mary. As with all our Treeper family whom we do not see as often, your absence was felt.
Thanks, Betsy. I do wander thru, even when I don’t trail breadcrumbs behind me.
😂 ….as long as you are well and thriving😊
There is a scene in the movies where the MCs talk about people thinking Dumbledore is losing it and they defend him then joke about him only being one hundred fifty something years old.
But then JK has done a rewrite, so now he died younger.

They are gorgeous – I will happily place them all in my sweatshirt (turned into a kittah hammock) and take them all comfortably home for a warm bath and some vittles and then snuggles in warm blankets.
Morning, Woo-Hoo💕 I see you’re up early. This IS you, is it not?
Absolutely, sis! Tis I… but is that a macramé gun holster on her shoulder? I keep mine on my hip. Just kidding. I don’t carry on my person.
Well I see you have a handbag for that😎 More decorous I think…
PS…love your shoes!😍

God morning, Treepers. Had the most beautiful thing happen last night.
I mentioned that I had inquired about my father’s personnel records with the military. I had received an electronic link to them, but the link was corrupted and I couldn’t access the records.
Last night, there was a large, thick manilla envelope in the mail from the National Personnel Records Center out of St. Louis.
My father was treated rather poorly by the American public after his retirement. He simply didn’t “fit in” to civilian life and after the filing of divorce between my parents – which miraculously was called off one month before the divorce would have been final, a wonderful 2 week family vacation to Washington D.C…. then the sudden and untimely death of my mother just two months later – and subsequent single fatherhood to me a 9 year old girl – it was a really rough go for him.
He died when Savannah was 14 months old in June 2007 – but I was blessed to fly from Seattle back home to Indiana for him to meet her. He held her and he adored her and he was so proud of her. At 17 years old, she still has his baby blanket and stuffed puppy that he gave to her. I, right now, am wearing the robe he gave me when she was born. He had foot surgery and was hobbling around on crutches in Indianapolis when she was born in Washington State.
He went to four stores looking for electric blankets to keep us warm in Seattle. He shipped 3 outfits in each size from 0 to 3 months, 3 months to 6 months, 6 months to 12 months – all the way up to 3 T. He purchased us both blankets, and me a nursing nightgown and robe. Her outfits included a baby pumpkin outfit.
This menacing, mean, tough as nails man – was hobbling around buying baby outfits. Something I would have given my whole world to witness in person. He so loved his granddaughter – and me.
I owe him so much for the hard life he lived. I wish our military today was made of the same rugged tenacity that he was. We would never be in this situation today – he would have led to nip this coup d’ etat in the bud immediately. I’m glad he’s shielded in the Father’s House and unable to witness the country he gave his life and the comfort of his family for.
Within the package that included about 1/2 of paperwork with smooth sheets of paper with thick raised embossed official seals, his signature which I haven’t viewed in years, his fingerprints – his only biological daughter realized how much she missed her dad – and there was this:

1.Upon your departure I want you to know that I think your job performance as Security Section Chief for Camp Bray and Tactical Site #42 has been truly outstanding.
2.You are the most dedicated, hardest working soldier that I have ever served with. There is no doubt that this unit, thanks to your hard work, has the most comprehensive security SOP in Korea. You have set an excellent example, one that few will be able to equal.
3.I wish you continued success in the future and want you to know that those of us who came to know you will never forget you.

Please, find an isolated veteran… take them a cup of coffee and a pound cake… and engage them in conversation. They carry the richest history of their personal lives and our nation with them. Honor them with your company, time, and genuine sincerity and smile. Pick up a rake and help them out. Secretly pay their utility bills. You can do that. Just call the public utility and give them an address. It can be totally confidential and frankly, better for the veteran, because most of the time, they are way too proud to take generosity.
My father when elderly was walking in the snow down the street. He fell and he couldn’t get up. A woman from an upstairs window saw him laying there – and no one helped him. He lay there in the cold wet snow – way too long, before he could muster the strength to get up and keep moving. This is UNACCEPTABLE.
You recline, because they didn’t. Find a veteran and our elders and adopt them, please… for me. Assure them that their sacrifice was not a loss.
the middle of the night. I just read your tender words. my heart is filled. I am also my father’s daughter.
God bless your father, linwik. May we always honor our parents. And for those who didn’t have good ones, may we develop an understanding as to why and strive ourselves to deliver the values we were lacking in our own homes to our own children.
ohhhh sis! 😥😭💝💝💝💝💝
Good morning, Stevie. I wept. Now, my mind is thinking of how I can rightfully honor him. My father was in possession of some portrait black and white photographs of I believe World War I in Hawaii – two of them that were about 6 to 8 feet long… and they were mounted in custom frames that were waffle style made of wood. They were as long as our couch and about 24″ to 30″ high excluding the heavy frames.
My dad always told me they needed to go into the Smithsonian. I believe, but I was very little – that it was of General MacArthur and his entire battalion (platoon?) positioned on the beach with a panoramic of a great mountain behind them. There must have been thousands of soldiers in those pictures.
My father’s brother looted his house and stole his belongings on my father’s death bed. I was already back in Seattle when I got the screaming call from my dear old neighbors. I made a three way call to the police department in Indianapolis and the police would not go there to secure his home – saying it was a “civil matter” and get an attorney.
I think I am going to contact the War Memorial and see what they can do to help me recover that memorabilia. I am the rightful heir to them and they belong in the museum where my father intended them to go. I had an infant at the time and couldn’t fight… now seeing these memories of his records… makes me want to.
Love to you, JustStevie. Claim some territory today for Christ, my friend.
Your well said words are poignant and heartfelt, ‘Woo. This a salute from anthropological observation: “When the songs are all sung and the stories all told, your father will be remembered.” Thank you, love. You done real good! 🙂
Very moving!💕🇺🇲
What’s that ache in my heart this morning? Remembering what my own Army trauma surgeon dad (Korea) dealt with, undoubtedly brought back with him, buried, and never spoke of.
Just like untold millions of our men who were shipped off to fight in one of too many abominable wars.
So glad you have those records for yourself and for Savannah so she can know more about the man who loved her so deeply.
And now, I think my eyes are leaking…
Maybe you order your father’s records, too? They are fascinating, Bets… and I’ll have to talk to the personnel at the Indiana War Memorial to help me decipher them.
My young Mormon missionary friends introduced me to their church’s interest in genealogy. It appears that every sizable Mormon church has a computer center complete with excellent software for doing genealogy research. The centers are open to the public and completely free. I was impressed.
It occurs to me that you might like to use their software. My visit with them was entirely pleasant. They were perfectly OK with me being intentionally nonchurched and, in fact, the only comments about religion came from me . . . 🙂
Garrison – You are so sweet to be so interested and just a plethora of ideas. I, too, had a dear friend (co-worker) who was a sweet Mormon man. He should have been a teacher and not immersed in the job he was in – but every appointment has a reason.
As for geneology, I have a very interesting history. One that would be too long to go into here. Savannah and I are a new root – we started 17 years ago – and are building, building at the strengthening of our roots… through the Lord’s careful pruning and grafting. Where we are – is enough for us.
We have no desires to enter into any DNA data bases, nor chase ghosts. There is a unique circumstance that the family I know… is not even mine. The family I am familiar with is itself incredibly unique and if a person carries my maiden name out there, they are definitely my kin because there is no other strain of that particular and unusual name.
My father was his own root – and a lone one.
On my mother’s side, they are like foreigners to me and they are best left to their own devices much away from our peaceful home and life. We are oil and water and there is no blending without heavy, heavy cost… and I paid that cost for several years… until my girl was born and I fled that life to give her peace.
We are content. We are blessed. If the Lord wanted more revealed then He would inspire such longing in us. As it is now – we concentrate and strive forward on to the future and don’t dwell in the past. One can waste a lot of time staring into a rearview mirror. We’d rather focus on the windshield.
Love you, brother. Don’t worry – God Has us and He Has my full confidence.
Jwoo, what a blessing your father and you are. Thanks for sharing this beautiful moving part of your life.
Thank you for your kind compliment, Bananas. If I can spread the word about caring for our veterans, I certainly want to. They go through so much…
What a prize….❣️
-and in print💞
Such a blessed surprise and there’s more to be found in that paperwork – could only simply skim through it last night. Another day…

The Lords Prayer
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
Traveler By Thomas Thiemeyer

Matthew 8:1-4
When Jesus came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him. And then a leper approached, did him homage, and said, “Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.” He stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, “I will do it. Be made clean.” His leprosy was cleansed immediately. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them.”

Psalm 47
God mounts his throne to shouts of joy: a blare of trumpets for the Lord.
All you peoples, clap your hands,
shout to God with cries of gladness.
For the Lord, the Most High, the awesome,
is the great king over all the earth. R
God mounts his throne to shouts of joy: a blare of trumpets for the Lord.
God mounts his throne amid shouts of joy;
the Lord, amid trumpet blasts.
Sing praise to God, sing praise;
sing praise to our king, sing praise.
God mounts his throne to shouts of joy: a blare of trumpets for the Lord.
For king of all the earth is God;
sing hymns of praise.
God reigns over the nations,
God sits upon his holy throne.
God mounts his throne to shouts of joy: a blare of trumpets for the Lord.

As we say in Texas, you drive careful, ya hear? Have a brilliant time👍🏻😊
I like his artwork Molon. I was a big fantasy/sci-fi reader so I really enjoy it. Michael Moorcock was a favorite of mine who did musical work with Hawkwind & Blue Oyster Cult. He also inspired Deep Purple with “Stormbringer”. You ever read any of his eternal champion books?

Good afternoon mo and friends.
the lesson of the moth
by don marquis
i was talking to a moth
the other evening
he was trying to break into
an electric light bulb
and fry himself on the wires
why do you fellows
pull this stunt i asked him
because it is the conventional
thing for moths or why
if that had been an uncovered
candle instead of an electric
light bulb you would
now be a small unsightly cinder
have you no sense
plenty of it he answered
but at times we get tired
of using it
we get bored with the routine
and crave beauty
and excitement
fire is beautiful
and we know that if we get
too close it will kill us
but what does that matter
it is better to be happy
for a moment
and be burned up with beauty
than to live a long time
and be bored all the while
so we wad all our life up
into one little roll
and then we shoot the roll
that is what life is for
it is better to be a part of beauty
for one instant and then cease to
exist than to exist forever
and never be a part of beauty
our attitude toward life
is come easy go easy
we are like human beings
used to be before they became
too civilized to enjoy themselves
and before i could argue him
out of his philosophy
he went and immolated himself
on a patent cigar lighter
i do not agree with him
myself i would rather have
half the happiness and twice
the longevity
but at the same time i wish
there was something i wanted
as badly as he wanted to fry himself
Much to contemplate in that poem, my friend. And so here I am contemplating…
Behold! I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. – 1 Corinthians 15:51
Changes are continual, some for good, others not. The believers in Corinth did not understand the concept of Christ’s return. Paul’s explanation brought to light what had been a mystery to them. The dead would be raised when Christ returns, just as He Himself had been raised from the dead.
Death will be swallowed up in victory because of Christ’s work on the cross and His own triumphant resurrection. Not only that, they will all be changed; Christ will give them a new spiritual body.
But what about those still alive? They will be exempt from death. Paul points out in the following verse that they will, in a twinkling of an eye, be changed from a natural body of flesh and blood to a spiritual body, imperishable and acceptable for heaven (v. 52).
What a glorious thought! H.A. Ironside calls those born again to the knowledge of Christ as Savior the “Grand Army of the Redeemed.”
Remember that God never changes His plan.
Live godly lives, proclaim Christ as Savior, and pray for those in this nation who have yet to know the victory Jesus has secured for those who believe. As believers, wait patiently “for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).

‘ God never changes His plan. ‘
Lots of implications in that one, starting with the Garden of Eden, making Noah build an ark, etc. Everything went as planned.
And will continue to do so, Jim.
Sure ill ,dear Bet. There is no shadow of turning in Him.
And that is a fact, my brother! 🙏🏻💕
That’s sure WILL, I need to start proofreading before posting. But I’m sure that you got it. 😘

Morning
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Rev. 3:19
My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Heb. 12:5, 6
Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Prov. 3:12
He maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole. Job 5:18
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. I Pet. 5:6
I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. Isa. 48:10
He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. Lam. 3:33
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. Psa. 103:10-14
Evening
God is in heaven, and thou upon earth therefore let thy words be few. Ecc. 5:2
When ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask him. Matt. 6:7, 8
They … called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. I Kings 18:26
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. Luke 18:10, 11, 13, 14
Lord, teach us to pray. Luke 11:1

DO IT NOW
“Agree with thine adversary quickly.” Matthew v. 25
Jesus Christ is laying down this principle – Do what you know you must do, now, and do it quickly; if you do not, the inevitable process will begin to work and you will have to pay to the last farthing in pain and agony and distress. God’s laws are unalterable; there is no escape from them. The teaching of Jesus goes straight to the way we are made up.
To see that my adversary gives me my rights is natural; but Jesus says that it is a matter of eternal and imperative importance to me that I pay my adversary what I own him. From our Lord’s standpoint it does not matter whether I am defrauded or not; what does matter is that I do not defraud. Am I insisting on my rights, or am I paying what I owe from Jesus Christ’s standpoint?
Do the thing quickly, bring yourself to judgment now. In moral and spiritual matters, you must do it at once; if you do not, the inexorable process will begin to work. God is determined to have His child as pure and clean and white as driven snow, and as long as there is disobedience in any point of His teaching, He will prevent none of the working of His spirit. Our insistence in proving that we are right is nearly always an indication that there has been some point of disobedience. No wonder the Spirit so strongly urges to keep steadfastly in the light!
“Agree with thine adversary quickly.” Have you suddenly turned a corner in any relationship and found that you had anger in your heart? Confess it quickly, quickly put it right before God, be reconciled to the one – DO IT NOW.

Good morning, sis💕 We are all works in progress, I think. Thank goodness for our Chambers in the morning.
Blessed be your day, girl. Here comes another weekend. I hope you’ll enjoy yours and this will be you tomorrow😊😘
Good afternoon juststevie!
Horned Lark. Grassland birds so they are in a steep decline in many areas. They have a beautiful song.
I wonder if any of our Treepers lucky enough to live on a farm, near farmland, or have acreage have ever seen them?
Wow! A Horned Lark nesting near farm field with four eggs..
Good morning, Colkitto😊 I wish I did live in such a place. How exciting to see one of these! Blessed be your day, my friend…stay way cool😎

Is Twitter no longer allowing non account lurkers to view Twitter feeds?
Well well well…it seems you are right, Brian.
Naughty…and potentially shutting a huge door for accessing what President Trump has to say. If I were cynical, I’d say something foul is afoot.

That’s what it seems. Dang!
Afternoon Patience! ❤️
So that cuts eyeballs for Tucker, doesn’t it. I’m waiting g to see how he reacts, if he reacts.
It cuts eyeballs for Tucker and everyone else. Tucker should skip Twitter and move on to an actual network with his investors. Surely they can fund it without an issue. Elon isn’t to be trusted….by any stretch! He claims the “log in” to view is temporary. So those lurkers without an account….don’t bother signing up….wait him out. He’ll see sooner than later…that his “genius” idea wasn’t so genius after all.
Verse of the Day for Friday, June 30, 2023
✟
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
Psalms 23:6 (KJV)
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
BE MY VOICE
Amen goes right there, Bet !!! ❤️

The question remains: why did SCOTUS give the middle finger to our right to vote in fair elections in 2020 by refusing to give Texas et al Standing? All the horrors we are enduring stem from this horrendous move by SCOTUS and I frankly do not care much about what they’ve done since, since our right to vote precedes all this other stuff. And the passivity and eerie incuriousness about this in the ”rightwing” press is just as depressing and inexplicable. Make it all go away.
Agree about the cowardly refusal of the court to even entertain hearing embattled KenPaxton’s legitimate suit.
I am wondering if their recent ruling that the Constitutional right of all states’ legislatures to determine how their elections are run is limited as far as federal elections go won’t in some way address what they spinelessly refused to address. I’m trying to look into the future and on the bright side…something which we are woefully short of these days.
(I’m getting into the weeds here on a decision which at first looks anti Constitution, but my Friday brain won’t let me go any further than that😎)
As promised last week, Climate Change will start moving this weekend. It has been centered over TX, NM, and OK with warmer than average weather. It will be moving towards the west coast with WA and OR in the Pacific NW having the temperatures highest above normal. warmer than normal area will also include CA, NV, AZ, NV, and extend to the western portions of ID, UT, and NM.
Slightly above normal in New England and Florida.
The rest of country at or below normal with the cooler than normal temps in the central US centered over Nebraska.
75% of the US will have at or below normal temps for the 4th of July weekend. Check out the map:

Storm pattern. From June 28 through the Wednesday the 5th of July. Much higher than usual precipitation for Central Illinois, Southern Indiana, Southern Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Pattern remains favorable for severe thunderstorms possibly bringing some flooding and even Derechos. Pattern is very similar to that of 1969 which saw a severe Derecho on July 4th 1969 in Ohio.
This is what Joe Bastardi and the guys at Weatherbell do that most others don’t in making their forecasts. They look for analogs of current temperature and pressure patterns with those that happened in the past and then see what the weather was back then. Joe knows weather history so well that he can often look at a current pattern and go right to one that was similar from decades in the past. Check out the map.

We had a really wet winter with snow over a foot deep (hardly ever get more than a dusting of snow) so vegetation is LUSH. plant stuff here and you have to be ready to jump back. Haven’t had rain since late April and none in sight until late September. still very green

What’s up with Twitter? I went to check someone I follow, and can’t get to his posts unless I create a Twitter account myself. Went to check Tucker Carlson, same thing. Can’t see him unless I have a Twitter account. Nope. I will NOT create a Twitter account just to be a spectator.

They have once again cut off viewing by unregistered users on all platforms. Do not yet know if this was inadvertent or deliberate on orders / approval from Elon. Time will tell over next day or two.
Problem with that is that unregistered viewers now can’t see ads, which means less revenue generated. Oops! Bullet, meet foot.
It was intentional. Elon posted that other companies were scraping Twitters data…..so this was his “genius” idea to prevent it. He also stated that it’s not permanent…but wouldn’t say when unregistered users would ever have access again.
It’s a very high profile business. His first duty is to protect it. I can’t blame him.
Unregistered users really don’t have a legitimate beef just because their free semi-anonymous access has been interrupted.
Solution: register with an email address that’s not identifiable with your real name and gain full access.
I get your point….but all email addresses are easily identifiable and lead directly back to the persons device(s). With the most recent news out today that Twitter will only allow a registered user to view a limited number of posts daily….unless they pay for that blue check….I think I’ll pass. If Elon continues down this path….Twitter will be dead much sooner than later.
I just saw the most recent announcement. Unverified accounts (me) limited to reading 800 tweets per day. I am more than covered since I don’t read but maybe 80 to 120 tweets on a heavy day…..
3 hrs ago Elon tweeted this:
To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits:
– Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day
– Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day
– New unverified accounts to 300/day
1 hr ago he tweeted this update:
Rate limits increasing soon to 8000 for verified, 800 for unverified & 400 for new unverified

Good afternoon Duchess,
I will listen to this podcast, when I get a chance. Thank you.
My frens in Ontario, Canada have had poor air quality this week. No rain, or very little to clean the air.
Trudo did not win with a majority vote, and is propped up by the socialist NDP. He is not well liked, and they are hoping the Conservative party leader, Pierre Poilievre will win there next general election.
You posted above about the power of love. This song came to mind. ☺ 💕

I pray you are right about Poilievre, DG. He is formidable. But I never underestimate what Castro Jr and his enablers, the NPD, will do to make sure it doesn’t happen.
Oh and by the way smoke is racist now…it affects the poor and downtrodden minorities in the cities only. Or so I am reading (massive eyeroll).
Ok! So I am sitting here at the computer and Buckley gets up from his bed beside me and jumps up on my leg. Usually I give him some pets and he gets back down. This time he didn’t. I thought he wanted to go out and do his business. So I followed him to the back door and there was Geisha laying there by the back door wanting out!
That was when I realized I had not taken them for their usual outside walk out into the back field and that was what they were wanting. So out we went and visited Sherry as she was weeding the garden and took our walk.

160 years ago today two great Armies were marching and about to engage in a battle that would determine the destiny of this nation. By the time it was over about 175,000 men had been engaged in the battle in one way or another.
The battle at Gettysburg PA was fought July 1st,2nd, and 3rd of 1863. By any measure, it was the largest battle to ever take place on the American continents. The first days battle alone ranks as the 8th largest during the Civil War and the next two days of battle would see even more men engaged and losses greater than those of the first days battle. At the end of the battle total casualties (killed, missing, wounded, and captured) would amount to somewhere between 48- 52,000 depending on the source(s) one wishes to believe.
At the same time the Union Armies were besieging the Confederate hold out on the Mississippi river at Vicksburg, MSs. U.S. Grant had made up his mind to present an ultimatum to Lt. Gen Pemberton in command of the garrison. The city had been besieged and cut off from supplies or reinforcement since May 18th. Grant’s forces had continued to press ever closer to the enemy lines and now Grant was ready to take the town by storm.
Lee’s defeated Army of Northern Virginia would retreat from Gettysburg on July 4th. On that same day Pemberton surrendered to Grant.
The fate of the Confederacy was sealed unless Lincoln and the Republicans could be defeated by the Democrats during the coming presidential election. For the first time in the history of the world, the soldiers of an Army in the field were allowed to vote during the election of 1864, and it was their votes that ensured Lincoln and the Republicans would remain in power. And thus it was the votes of the Union soldiers that put the lid on the coffin of the Confederacy. And they would drive the final nail in it.
Thanks for that, rob.
Your welcome.
My husband’s great grandad could hear the guns those three days. They hid the horses in the woods just in case the jonnies got through. His great grandad on his mother’s side was in Belle Isle prison so missed Gettysburg. Lee might have had a better outcome had JEB Stuart not been off on a toot.
There are a whole passel of “ifs” associated with that battle. But as far as Stewart goes? I don’t think it would have mattered much if he had been there for the first two days of the battle. By this time the Union Calvary was superior to that of the Confederacy in men, horse flesh, and in particular arms. It was John Buford’s Calvary that held off Henry Heth’s Division long enough for the Reynold’s 1st Corp to arrive on the field. How could two Brigades of Calvary (Buford’s other Brigade was guarding wagon trains along the movement of the main body) hold off an Infantry Division for several hours?
Heth performed poorly that day taking far too long to get his main strength into line while Buford’s tactics of the Pickets were superb. By this time in the war Calvary charges against infantry had gone out of favor because of excessive casualties in the attacking force. And so Calvery, when faced with infantry, dismounted. One soldier in three being left with the horses while the other fought on the line.
But despite Heth’s blunders he still had what should have been an overwhelming force. But even after they finally got organized and put more than the Brigade on the attack Buford’s men held them off. How?
One big reason is Buford’s men were armed with Sharps repeating carbines having a 7 round magazine giving them a much faster rate of fire Confederate infantry could because they were armed with rifled muskets which were muzzle loaded.
Buford’s men were on somewhat higher ground using a fence row for cover while the charging Confederates were on open ground with no cover or concealment.
On the third days battle, Stewart was ordered by Lee to take his calvary around the flank and attack the Union rear in coordination with Pickett’s charge. Meade anticipated this and sent a superior force of Union calvary to stop him. In that battle there were several of the traditional calvary charges as calvary fought calvary. And the Confederates were defeated.
The argument is made that IF Stewart’s men and horses had not been worn out by his long circuitous march he could have won. I seriously doubt that. The fact is the quality of the Union calvary had improved greatly by the time of Gettysburg and they had superior numbers and arms.
The fields, there are two of them, where the Union and Confederate calvary met are preserved separate from the main battlefield and are generally only visited by serious students of the battle.
One other thing. Lee had more than enough calvary to cover the movement of his Army and do recons even without Stewart’s men. And that calvary could have been used better than it was. This is of course in retrospect.
Amen
Amen and Amen
Amen!
Amen.
Amen.
Amen.
Amen
